Adding a Certificate of Completion

Hi!
Is there an easy way to create a certificate of completion for the module that I created? I found the link, but is not a very easy way...
I hope it will work with the pdf files that we're going to deliver to the students.

There is a Certificate of Completion built-in, with several templates, but the student taking the module or course can only add his/her name and Presenter adds the total score, not the name of the module / course, and school. Did anyone find out a better way to issue these certificates? I cannot use Adobe Connect as the client wants to have these resources available offline.

I get the same "either exchange requires secure connection or account is disabled". message.
I think Cert Manager is treating different certifcates types differently. I downloaded the certificate to documents. clicked on it in file manager and all it did was display the properties. The file has a ? icon that suggests that the file type is not liked to cert_manager although this is what displays the details but does not prompt top install. Support please download and try for yourself https://mail.4mostresourcing.co.uk/integration. I am happy to see a terminal based solution in the short term if fixing requires a new cert manager release or something.
Incidentally we do have this working over imap with this certificate and we are not seeing any errors reported in the server logs

PDF customized certificate of completion

I need to create a printable landscape PDF certificate of completion, and I am not sure the best approach to take. The end certificate should look kind of like a diploma (will have fancy image border, some logos...). The certificate is basically a template with a couple of dymanicly populated areas (like the name). What is the best way to accomplish this? Do I create a PDF form template in Acrobat first, then read that in using cfpdf and then try to populate the dynamic areas (if that is even possible). I tried using cfdocument, which seemed to be the easiest solution, but I cannot get the certificate to take up the whole page - it only seems to take up 1/3 of the page no matter what I do.
Running CF8 (DW CS3 though I generally only use it for coding and do not know how to even use the extensions).
Thanks for any suggestions or references to tutorials or other threads.

Certificate of completion Captivate 8

Hei everyone.
Anyone here who knows how to change color theme on certificate of completion widget in captivate 8, or if it's even possible? I am able to change colour of text but can't see where to change colour of background, style etc.

Thanks for the help. I have followed the steps on your blog but the weird thing is that when i click on customize i don't get a dialog box. nothing under default colors and nothing under theme colors. The only choice i get is to change text color.
What could be the reason?
Here are the steps i have followed on your blog:
The interaction themes are at the left, with default theme selected; use the Custom button at the bottom
Default Colors are activated, and you could customize them using the Customize button, but then you'll see the old cold dialog box, which has no link to your theme colors
Click on Theme colors: the preview will be changed immediately, and the Customize button now appears under Theme Colors
When using this customize button, you'll see the Theme colors with their tints when changing a color.

Certificate of Completion with Date Stamp

Greetings,
Is it possible to make a form that will automatcally add a date stamp to it.? Here is the scenario: a user completes a series of questions through an eLearning module. At the end of it, they click on a button/link that takes them to a page that has a PDF in it. The PDF has a fillable form so they enter their name into it and at some point, maybe when they get to the pdp, it is time/date stamped for that user. They print the PDF out and give it to their supervisor.

Maybe it's not possible to get the stamp to be added as soon as they get to the PDF, maybe they have to push a button on the PDF to have it added? I don't know what is possible or if it is possible. We would just like to have some way to get a date stamp onto the PDF. The PDF doesn't have to be downloaded, it only needs to be printed as hardcopy, although having an option to have the PDF emailed to the user might be an option as long as it can only be printed.

Yes, it's possible, with a bit of JavaScript. You can have the date field automatically populated when the form is first opened or after they enter their name. For the latter, you could add the following script to the Validate event of the name field:

Replace "date" with the actual name of your date field. You can also use a different date format, but this should get you started. If you want it to populate when the document is opened, it's a bit more complicated, but post again if this is what you want.

Adding SSL-Certificate Exception in Firefox 4

I recently installed Firefox 4 beta 11 and now cannot access certain webpages provided by my university which are using an SSL-encryption.
The error message I receive (in a popup box) is:
'''evasys.urz.uni-halle.de uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)'''
It has been a known problem that somehow Firefox does not handle the issuer chain of the certificate correctly (thats what the IT department says) and the solution up to now was to add an exception for this website in Firefox 3.x.x
This would be fine by me for Firefox 4, too, but I cannot find a way to add this exception. As soon as I dismiss the error message box by clicking "OK" nothing happens, no "This connection is untrusted"-page (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/This%20connection%20is%20untrusted#w_certificates-and-identification) is opened or anything equivalent.

Hello.
Yes, there is a problem with adding an exception button, but I found a temporary solution until Mozilla solves the problem.
First, copy a link from website you want to enter.
Then, go to: Options > Advanced > Encryption tab > View Certificates > Servers tab > Add Exception..
Now paste the link at "Location:" then click "Get Certificate" and Confirm Security Exception.
That's all.

Adding a certificate in existing store of a PC

I am trying to add "XYZ.cer" to existing store in local system.
I use command <certutil.exe -addstore -f "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" xyz.cer>
Problem is that, after successful completion of command it creates new store with name "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" as existing one. I want to add this "xyz.cer" certificate to existing store "Trusted
Root Certification Authorities" WITHOUT creating a duplicate store.
If I don't use double quote in Trusted Root Certification Authorities, command fails.
Can anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance.

Adding to a Linked Complete Binary Tree

Hi all,
I am having major trouble trying to grasp the concept behind adding to a Complete Binary Tree (linked structure). It is part of a much larger assignment that uses a Heap Priority Queue and I am genuinely stuck. I have noticed that there seems to be some sort of strike going on so I wont expect a reply to this.
I understand that Binary Tree's are useful because of their recursive nature, does the process of adding use recursion also. My mind is a mess at the moment so forgive the rambling. My problem exists when I go to add after a right child on a lower level(anything below level 3). I have come to the conclusion that I it is impossible to continue with my adding method and that I should scrap it. Can anyone point anything relevant out to me? I'd appreciate it, thank you.

Currently working on setting the Linked Servers Security properties. Added the SQLAgent in the" Local server login to remote server login mappings:". The SQLAgent is the only entry in the grid. The SQLAgent has the Remote User and Remote Password
of the AS400. Then below have "Not be made" for "For a login not defined in the lst above, connections will:".
So provided that the SQL Admin only gives SQL Job create, Job Alter and Alter Linked Server to user/groups that he wants to use the linked server the Admin can control access to the linked server.
Any thoughts?

Adding Photoshop Actions from Complete Digital Photogprahy

I downloaded the Photoshop CS2 Action Set from Complete Digital Photography and the new actions do not show up in Automator. The installer adds the actions to the user library folder, and I believe an attempt at importing them through the Automator import menu has added them to the root library folder. The process should add Photoshop CS2 as a valid application but it does not show up in the list. I erroneously tried to add a folder in Automator named PS CS2, and I dragged a .action file from my library into that folder. Now all the .action files in both my user and root library files have a folder icon instead of the familiar Automator Action icon.
I think the actions imported when I ran the installer. Any idea why I wouldn't be able to see them? Also, how do I get the .action files to show the proper Automator action icon?

The only idea that comes to mind is that you don't have Photoshop CS2 installed. You need the application installed for the actions to work since the actions use the application. So, without the application, the actions will not show up.
I mentioned that because you didn't explicitly state you had the app, but also because that's typically the reason.
As for undoing what you did to change the icon, I'd suggest undoing what you did, i.e. reversing what you did. So, remove that folder that you made wherever it was, and anything else you did. You should also consider logging out and back in after that, or restarting, whichever is easier.
Installing actions with Automator shouldn't move them to the root folder. Also, any actions I've installed work just fine from my own Library folder in my account.
Another thing to consider is actions can be made specifically to the version of the associated application. So, the actions might not be allowed to work with other versions of the app, depending on how the developer of the actions made them. It doesn't have to be that way, but it could be that way. Something to consider if you do indeed have Photoshop CS2.

Adding alias certificate to ACE

We are having issues with SSL checks done by the online tools to check the websites SSL certificates.
For example www.abc.com and just abc.com.
We have configured certificate only for www.abc.com under the VIP but currently we dont have certificate for abc.com.
My query is how do i call both certificates under the same ssl-proxy service? I cant test this on live environment so want to know if it accepts two commands for adding certificates under ssl-proxy service.

I don't think so. You would need to get the wildcard certificate which would be like *.abc.com and that should resolve the problem you are facing. CN=*.abc.com should be there in the certificate you generate or request from your CA. If you want to have www.abc.com as well as www.abc.net then in that case you would need to have SANS certificates.

I have downloaded a certificate.
i double click on it and nothing happens. Keychain opens but I receive no request to add anything
I have tried opening keychain and importing the certificate.
Nothing happens as well.
I have tried doing that for another certificate. same thing. is this normal?
The app that needs the certificate doesn't work...

Adding CA certificate into a browser distribution

I am a system administrator of some enterprise-level company. We have their own CA with their own CA certificate. Each time, when users, which prefer Firefox as browser, visit resources, protected by certificates, signed by our own CA, they receive big bunch of warnings about "security violations, etc.". Is it possible - add our own CA certificate into a Trusted CA certificates list, distributed with Firefox in distributive (or add it as some browser update)?

I solved the problem by converting certificate to pkcs#12 format and importing it.
openssl pkcs12 -export -in cert.pem -inkey private.key -out cert.pkcs12 -name Server-Cert

Keychain Access: Adding multiple Certificates, signed by the same CA

Now, I am facing a new problem: I wish to add a new Certificate to the Keychain, but whenever I try, it tells me the item exists, and does not add it to the Keychain. It adds the keys perfectly fine, both public and private, but not the Certificate.
What can I do to have multiple Certificates, signed by the same CA.
I cannot add them to my Keychain, so that will be of no help. And I have tried to create every Certificate anew in the same Keychain, but this will not work, either. I created they Certificates and exported them before I went on to the next and they are now on my desktop. This is very inconvenient, as the keychain is distributed over a network as a shared Keychain and resides in a Snow Leopard Server (Domestic version, not Snow Leopard Server). Our business is one day behind, but since it is now weekend, I hope to get this issue resolved by Monday morning, send out the e-mails we should have and update our register with sales.
Could I please have some advice?
Also, if this topic is handled in full in another thread, please post the links, so I can read up on this topic and try to find a solution.
