I removed the applications file from the dock. How can i put it back on the dock??

Click on the hard disk in the Finder's sidebar, drag the Applications folder inside to the right of the divider line, and if desired, control-click it and change the settings.
Don't drag the Applications folder in the sidebar itself. It will disappear if you do.

How to get back the standard document file on my dock

I accidentally moved the standard document file off my Dock and it "puffed" away. I found all the documents in the finder and got them to my desktop in one file, but when I tried to put it back on the Dock, it also remained on my desktop. When I threw that one away, and began to work with a document in my file on the Dock, it would not let me save--saying the original file was in the trash. I pulled it out of the trash and it remains on my desktop. Now I'm wondering how can I get that standard document file back on my Dock so that I can work with it properly. Thankfully nothing is lost--it's just not working as easily. Any thoughts?

Put the original back in your home folder where it should be.
Then drag it directly to the Dock being very careful not to release the mouse until the other icons move out of the way for it and the placeholder line appears.
That will create an alias in the Dock and your original will still be in your home folder.

Mackeeper moved my files to my trash so i pulled them out of my trash to my desktop it has copied them to my desktop as well as kept them in my trash!!
im so confused and things are not working properly anymore such as my google chrome for example...all my book marks are gone BUT i can go to the google file which is out of place on my desktop and view all my bookmarks data...ALL of my files still exist but they are just out of place now which is making it hard for certain options on my computer to work...

Step 1
Remove "MacKeeper" as follows.
"MacKeeper" has only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the functional components of the software will be deleted. Reboot.
Failure to remove MacKeeper will result from neglecting any one of these points:
Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
Don't empty the Trash after dragging the application to it. Let MacKeeper delete itself.
Don't try to drag the MacKeeper icon in the Dock to the Trash.

hello there thank u so much for ur reply!! ok i uninstalled mackeeper now and the put back option is still in grey im so confused...i tried restarting my computer like u said and put back still in grey??!! the files that are in my trash are everything from Accounts,address book plug-ins,address book,adobe,aim.........then stuff like apple,Audio,....to caches color pickers,colors,com.apple.TCC,to DVD player to facebook,google to ilifemedia browser to itunes to keychains to movie effects,preferences printers to skype...my Native instruments files BUT not all of them my garage band but not all of it...it seriously looks like my whole library is in the trash i tried to put things back where i THINK they belong and it just added the item or folder under where i thought it went and didnt restore functionality to for instance google chrome and all my book marks are there....they seem to be only certain things from my library that would have added some functionality to apps and programmes like my garageband is missing stuff photobooth wont work so on.......kinda looks a bit like this thats only the half of it!! Help with adding audio files to page

I am using DW CS5. I have had numerous troubles adding audio files to any page. Please know that I am not at all computer savy when it comes to html codes etc. But I have been working with DW CS5 and have a functional website and my pages validate. That being said, please be patient with me if I am asking stupid questions or don't understand the solution.
Now to the problem....I originally wanted to add mp3 files...but I am not sure how to work with plugins or which plugin to use.
Therefore, I converted my mp3 files to swf and used the insert media file feature in DW CS5. But when I look at the finished page...I only see a big white box. Nothing happens when you click on it.
First question...which is the best method to add audio files?
Second question...what steps do I need to follow achieve the desired result?
Note: there is one validation error on this page and I'm not sure why or how to fix it. Any suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.

There were a total of five cassette tapes, ranging from 1 hour to a 1 1/2 halfs in length. Scott Freeson converted each tape to digital format and then they were broken down into various segments for a total of 7 audio files. It is recommended that you listen to each tape in the order presented to maintain the proper timeline and context.<br /><br /></p>
<p class="standardparagraph">The first five audio files were recorded by Aunt Virginia in response to questions posed by Laura (Stasik) Schmidt and her sister Carrie (Stasik) Kot. Aunt Virginia re-recorded her responses in August 2009 after noticing some mistakes in the original recording.<br />

Woohoo! I was able to resolve the issue including the validation issue. But I have a follow up question...
Currently if you click on the play button another window pops up which has the play/control/stop buttons to control the audio file. The attribute is set to new window. If I change the attribute to parent window, then the page that has the control buttons overlays ontop of the page with the link.
To get back to the original page, one must click on the back arrow near the address bar.
Isn't there a way to not have a separate window appear? In other words, the controls are embeded into the parent page?

I am having some very basic issues with the latest JDeveloper 10g (10.1.3) - Preview Release, all related to adding existing files and projects to JDeveloper.

Problem 3: JDeveloper hangs whether initial project was based on 9.0.5.x or 10.1.2.x
Questions:

1) Am I missing something obvious or are these simply bugs?
2) Is there a particular reason why there is no reference to JDeveloper 10.1.2 on the http://jdeveloper.us.oracle.com website?
3) Why were the 'Add to Applications...' and 'Add to Project...' buttons removed from the 'Applications - Navigator'?
I found them very helpful and used them to add items to existing Applications and Projects.
I have duplicated these problems on two different Windows XP systems. Neither JDeveloper 10.1.2 or 9.0.5 builds have exhibited these problems.

This dynamic project source feature is going to kill us! We have more than 15,000 files in our projects. Currently, part of them are managed by JDeveloper. Developers have option to load only the files they are working on. If all files in the project source will be loaded automatically, that will definitely be a nightmare to us. The JDeveloper will be frozen from time to time when it start to looking for new files...
Think about why people pick Oracle instead of SQL Server - Oracle is good in handling large data. We, JDeveloper users, sincerely hope JDeveloper team can design/test the JDeveloper on large scaled project before formally release it.

Can't link files back to my presentation

I've create a presentation with over 200 slides.
As i've been saving the presentation it has create presentation.key Folder files which contained my images and videos.... it has done this 27 times :/ total file size 16gigs.
Now my presentation only contains placeholder images and the links to those files have been changes.
I have taken all the files (removed the duplicates) and put them all in the same folder.

I think I've experienced a similar issue.
- I created a movie with sounds and images
- I then found that keynote wouldn't move/copy objects if the file wasn't saved on my desktop
- I added sounds to the movie, moved it to the server and then found it had lost all links
- I then moved the file back to the desktop and moved my assets folder there too
- I couldn't figure out how to relink the files so I then imported a few files again from that folder, quit, reopened it and then found that the files worked again.
So, I think it's a case of you setting the files back to how they were, try importing a few of them again and see if keynote picks up the other files again.
I don't think the 16gb is really anything bad, it's seems that you're creating a new file each time you save so it's a simple case of duplication. Maybe check the file permissions to make sure Keynote can save over the file?

Accidentally hit the 'trim comp to work area'. Now I can't get my files back into comp timeline.

I'm using After Effects CC on my macpro. When going to add a shot to the render queue, I accidentally hit the 'trim comp to work area' and didn't notice what had happened until I went to go back to work on other shots. I tried to hit Control Z but it was too late it seemed and it wouldn't go back to how it was. i tried resetting the length of the comp and putting the files back, but no use. Tried making a new comp and copy and pasting all the files in the side panel of my orig comp, but nothing. Tried re-adding the same file from the project window and copying and pasting the effects keyframes from the orig shot to the new one but they didn't line up properly.
I still have all the files in the comp side panel but can't seem to get them back into the now extended timeline. I still have all the effects I've been doing for the past 3 weeks, but can't do anything to get them into a position where I can continue to manipulate them.
I've searched a bunch of forums and can't find this problem anywhere.
Have I lost all my work? Please help.

It appears that you've pushed those layers into negative time, which you can't view in the Timeline. To get the layers back into the Timeline view, you'll need to move the layers in time with keyboard shortcuts. I assume that you've got your layers arranged in an edit, and you want to preserve their relationships, so do the following:
Select all of the layers.
Hold down Alt/Option+Shift and press Page Down until the layers are visible. This shortcut moves layers 10 frames later in time. Removing Shift moves them 1 frame at a time. Using Page Up instead of Page Down will move them earlier in time.
Another useful pair of shortcuts is [ and ], which set the in or out points of the select layer(s) to the current time. But you probably don't want to use those shortcuts in this case because you'll lose the time relationships of your edit.
