Adding a frame on a JDialog

Question

Hi, I trying to add a frame with a 3D image on a dialog, but it's not working. The following code shows what I want to do. Does anybody know why is it happening?
button = new JButton(" 3D ");
          button.setToolTipText("3D model");
          button.addActionListener(new ActionListener()
               public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
                    JDialog d = new JDialog();
                    Frame frame = new MainFrame(new Visual3D(editor.returnPoints()), 500, 500);
                    //try
                         d.getContentPane().add(frame, BorderLayout.CENTER);
                    //}catch(Exception ex){}
                    d.setTitle("Modelo 3D");
                    d.setSize(400,400);
                    d.setDefaultCloseOperation(JDialog.DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE);
                    d.setModal(true);
                    d.setVisible(true);
          toolbar.add(button);

You don't add one top-level window to another. You also shouldn't mix AWT components with Swing components:

What should you do? Well, first when you post, you should always state what your goal is,
what you are trying to do. In this case, my best guess, and it's only a guess since you're being coy,
is that you should look into JDesktop and JInternalFrame for that "MDI look".
