Adding a .html to the root folder

I need to add a .html verification file from Pinterest (for my Pinterest business page) to the root folder, but Im not allowed and i only receive an error message.

create a new blank page in your muse plan view and call it whatever your pinterest file is suppose to be called. Right click on it and set it to not show in the menu if  you are using automatic menus. And set it to have no master as well.
Then use the Insert HTML to add the html to the page - then publish.

  • Publish the website to the root folder (without creating a new folder)

Hi there! Sure this problem has already been discussed here many times and I'm not the only one who's interested this question, but how can I publish my website using FTP without creating a new folder, just to the root folder of my web hosting? Is that even possible or should I each time drag all the files from the folder created by iWeb and put them to the root folder manually? I'm a little bit confused. Guys help me with this, please! Many thanks in advance!!

Yes, you're right, it has been discussed for the past several years and yes, you're not the only who's interested in that question.
A simple googe search confirms it : avoid iweb sitename
Try it, if you haven't done it already.

  • How do you get the root folder to recognize updated file in nested folder?

I believe in OS 9, a modified file nested in a folder would trigger the root folder to recognize and update to the top of the "date modified" column. As long as I've used the Mac (20 years) I've used the "date modified" to force my current client folders to the top of the column. Lately, I have many nested folders in the root client folder. When I make changes to a file in a nested folder, OS X doesn't make the root folder recognize changes within a nested folder. I realize there is not likely to be a fix for this in OS X, as Apple probably deems this behavior to be proper (I do not,) so my question would be expanded to include suggestions for third party software that may accomplish this.

Sorry, posted that last post and ran out of time while editing it. It should read like this:
"Yes, if you ADD a new item or folder to a folder, it updates the root folder, but if you simply MODIFY a file (like Photoshop) within a subfolder, the root folder WILL NOT update the date modified. Check it out."
Actually, whether the directory that a file is re-saved in will be modified or not can depend on the application in question and how it saves files.
Let's say a folder has a single file in it. The modification date of the folder will be the last time a change was made to the directory, either by adding or removing an item from it. (This can include the invisible .DS_Store file in which the Finder saves view settings for a folder, which can often be written without you're realizing it unless you have the Finder show all files like I do).
Then, let's say you open that file, which is a stream of bytes, in an application. You make some changes which alters the representation of the stream of bytes in RAM. The application then saves the changes to the file by filling it with the stream bytes as they now are in RAM. Modifying the contents of a file in this manner does not alter the directory that it's in. The modified date of the folder should remain unchanged.
Some applications use a different method than above to save files, however. Let's say that theoretically while the application is re-writing to the original file during a save, the power goes out and your computer shuts down. There's a good chance that the document that was being saved is now corrupt. A safer method that some applications use, is to first write out the information to a new file in the same directory as the original file, then delete the original file, and then rename the new file so that it has the same attributes as the old file. This method will, of course, modify the directory that the original file was in by adding and removing a file.

  • GPO to prevent users from accessing the root folder of their profile doesn't work

    Hi,
    Here's the scenario:
In a Windows 2012 RDS I created two groups called RemoteApp users and remote desktop users.
These groups are defined in the collection for the corresponding RD Session hosts.
These groups are not included in any other group, but they are located under an OU -called  Remote Users.
In the domain controller I have created a GPO named "Restrict access to root drive"  which is linked to the Remote Users OU.
The GPO I selected is - "Prevent users from adding files to the root of their users files folder"
This doesn't seem to work. I have waited more than a few hours to allow the 90 minutes update, plus used the gpupdate /force
but when a user clicks on the RemoteApp (Excel in this example) then access to the C: drive (which is the root folder of the user's profile) is enabled, and the user can create folders and save files under C:.
I tried to run gpresult for the specific user but the GPO I created wasn't mentioned.
I thought this would be a straight forward mechanism, but somehow it looks like something is missing.
I have read about loopback and expanding, but not sure if this is what needs to be done, and if yes - I'd appreciate if I can get  step by step instructions. Everything I found so far was VERY vague.
    Thanks !
One more detail that may be relevant - the DC is a Windows Server 2012, and the session host is a Windows 2012 R2.

The USER accounts need to be in the OU your GPO is linked to. Despite
their name, GPOs do NOT apply to groups, but to users (and computers).
Groups only provide an additional layer of filtering...

  • Install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 using the setup.exe in the root folder

I am trying to make an SCCM install package for PremiereElements_10_LS15_win64. I am following the directions I found here http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/silent-install-instructions-photoshop-element s-1.html and I am using a Win7 SP1 machine with a new NT profile that does have admin rights. The error I receive is, "Install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 using the setup.exe in the root folder."
Also, when I try to use AAMEE 2.1 I am told that when I use the containing the setup.exe and the .msi that "A valid installer could not be found."

    Hi Chris,
First of all, you will not be able to package PSE 10 using AAMEE. It needs to be packaged only using the xml method, that you tried and got the error.
So, here is want i want you to try.
    > Take a Win 7 machine with a fresh OS installation.
    > Follow the above article that you have properly i.e. create the application.xml.override.
    > Test the xml package by running the command mentioned under step 2 using the command prompt.
    Check if that works.

  • Finder: Changing from thumbnail view to column view takes me back to the root folder.

    Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me with this as it's getting a bit tedious having to re-navigate back to the folder I was in. This problem is only occuring when I am working from an external NAS Drive.
I need to switch between thumbnail view and column view regularly, but whenever I change from thumnails to column - finder jumps back to the root folder, meaning I have to work my way back to where I was.
I can't figure out how to stop this happening! It doesn't happen when changing from column to thumbnails, only the other way round..
    Thanks for any suggestions!
    Sarah.

    Hi Barney,
Thanks for your reply Unfortunately though I already use AFP on the NAS drive and still have the problem, so it seems this is an issue with both AFP and CIFS..

  • Where is the root folder for pictures on OSX? I need to transfer to an external harddrive.

I have an older Pro and want to transfer the pictures to an external hard drive. I cannot find the root folder. I know they say it is hidden, but can't find it! Help!
PS My DVD drive is broke, or I would just burn a DVD.

Pictures is the folder within each User's Home directory.
    /Users/YourUsername/Pictures
It is not hidden in Mac OS 10.6. (as shown in your profile)
In Finder click on the User's home folder with the house icon, to see it.
There is the possibility that you can't find it because it no longer exists. It could have been accidentally deleted.
EDIT: If you are referring to the photos in iPhoto, these are contained in the iPhoto Library folder, which is located in the Picutres folder.
Copying the entire iPhoto Library folder, to an external will make a backup of your photos.

  • Get the root folder name once user will upload any files to subfolder with in this root folder using sharepoint designer WF??

    Hi,
How to get the root folder name using sharepoint designer WF? i have a document library with root folders and subfolders. so i am trying to get the root specific root folder name attaching with email once user will
upload any files to subfolders within that root folder.
    Thanks in advanced!

    Hi,
According to your description, you might want to get the root folder name in SharePoint Designer Workflow when there is file uploading.
The “Path” field of the current item holds the relative path of a file, as a workaround, you can retrieve the value of the “Path” as string, then split the string
value with a delimiter character of “/” to meet your requirement.
In SharePoint Designer 2010, there is no OOTB action to split the string. You can use the custom workflow actions below to achieve it.
Here is a link about the related actions I use in this scenario:

    Settings of workflow as below:
It works well in my environment:

  • How can I change the root folder for .dtc?

After I installed the DS, I find the root folder for .dtc is my local directory such as:
    C:\Documents and Configuration\WChen\.dtc
How can I change it to:
    D:\Projects\.dtc

Gangadharayya. That points to the workspace used by Eclipse. The '.dtc' folder is used if you're working with DCs and, I'm pretty sure, has nothing to do with the Eclipse workspace.
Wei, just curious. Why do you want to change that path? Don't misunderstand my question. SAP has given me the "Why would you want to do THAT?" response plenty of times whenever I brought up a situation that was different than they way they thought developers would create apps or use their product(s).
So I'm not asking "why do you want to" because I think you're wrong in wanting to do that. I'm just curious.
I can't say for sure but I suspect that it might be not so easy to do that. I've installed Netweaver several times and I don't remember EVER being asked for a path for the '.dtc' folder structure.
From my personal experience, the whole NDS, J2EE engine, install process, etc. is so touchy that once I've got it installed I don't want to mess with it. So I  was just curious if there was some technical reason or just personal preference for changing the folder.

  • Is it possible to manually move catalog items into the /root folder?

    Hey all,
I am trying to move a bunch of old analyses/dashboards into a new 11G installation from my 10G one.  The 11G installation pulls from the same database and has a (almost) identical repository.  I've tried copying and pasting the files (.atr etc) into folders in catalog/paint/root but they won't appear in the BI catalog...does anyone know how to get the tool to recognize them?
    Thanks!
UPDATE:  I ran the "Scan and Update catalog objects that require updates" in the administrator section and it recognized the file and updated it.  I then hit "Reload Files and Metadata" and it still isn't appearing.

Hi You have the original 10g rpd and catalog. Try try the following:
Goto the middleware directory then the BI Instance, then the bin, or do a search you should find the following file:
    ua.bat
Run this and follow the prompts then use that rpd, and catalog it produces, give it a shot, may be a better way for you.
    Thanks
    K

  • Product search return no result when searching the root folder.

Searching any sub-folder works as expected.

thanks all, I can't find the Manufacturer for the Part Number yet. but I will ask somebody to help me get them.
I will report my new progress~
As per the documentation (see below), you have to enter the manufacturer number also. You cannot leave it blank and also you should activate the corresponding MARA index by manufacturer part number.
    Manufacturer and manufacturer part number
    Description
This parameter is used to determine a material from the number of a manufacturer and manufacturer part number.
To use this parameter for selection, activate the corresponding index in the table MARA.
    Value range
The field MANU_MAT must contain the manufacturer part number.
The field MFR_NO must contain the number of a manufacturer.
A value must always be entered in both fields. It is not possible to search generically.

  • How to manage the host root folder?

    I'm using iWeb08, and I'm on system OSX 10.5.8.
Last week I flawlessly transferred my site from Apple to another host.
My question is, to make a few simple changes to it, {mostly text and links}, do I have to load up ALL the files again to the ftp host?  I don't know how to manage the root folder yet and I don't want to clutter the folder or cause the site to malfunction.
Is there any useful posts on managing a hosting root folder??
Problems or thing I should know using iWeb08?
    Thanks...  Ghary.com

Once you get to know the file structure its possible to just upload the changed files by intelligent guesswork.
You can also look at the date on the local published files but this would be rather time consuming.
Most FTP apps have a synchronise feature to handle this for you but you need to set this up carefully and do a test run to make sure it doesn't wipe out essential files on the server.
If you do a lot of updates and you want to get your web pages downloading faster, an optimizer will do all the thinking for you. These screenshots are of one of Ton Brand's Optimizers - HTML Optimizer Plus
On the first pass all the files are optimized and uploaded...
After that, Smart Handling is turned on and only the changed files are processed...
The original folder is 10.1 MB and the Optimized one is 7.7 MB. That's without optimizing the PNG images. The finished site downloads fast. It needs to since its designed to work on mobile devices.

In remote mode the root folder name returned by get_RootFolder method of the
