Adding a hyperlink to photo in mac mail signature

I am trying to add a picture or template in my signature that when you click on it, it hyperlink to a landing page on my website or another destination.
So far I have been able to do this in text only. I would rather have an image than text that says for example "Click here for Video." I tried with a photo and embed the link to that photo with not success.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
thank you
Holyfield

Microsoft Outlook can hyperlink images. Neither entourage nor apple mail is true html composing. Only when composing mail in HTML format can you do this. I spent way too much time trying to get apple mail to do what I needed for template emails and email signatures. Sadly, I have to use Outlook to do what I need.
The question is, does anyone make a plug for apple mail that allows HTML composition?

  • Adding an iWeb hyperlink under my .mac mail signature

    Two question:
    1) I have tried to incorporate my new iWeb address into my .mac mail signature
but it will only 'grab' a certain number of characters. It leaves off the last 3 or 4. How do I remedy this?
    2) I have two .mac addresses on my .mac account. I want to switch to the more 'commercial' one. How do I do this?

  • How to add a photo to Apple Mail signature...? (he asks laughably)

Since the sender's Address Book photo is not included with emails sent
(even 'though Apple Mail makes it look like they are),
how can you add a personal photo to a Mail signature?
OR, is there another means of including a personal photo with every email sent?

    Thx.

How many people have asked for this feature / capability?  More than 10,000?
As a matter of fact I have never seen it mentioned before. Perhaps only a few people need such an ego-trip every time they send an email.
The normal way is to add a photo within the text or as an attachment. The Signature only handles thumbnails.
But you can send your suggestion to Apple via their feedback link:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
It will be read but you will not receive a reply.

  • How do I export mac mail signatures?

Since migrating from Mobile Me to iCloud I have noticed that the signatures (of which I have a few) in Mac Mail do not sync to my other machines. My question is, how can I export my Mac Mail Signatures to another machine?

    Close Mail in both machines.
In the computer where your signatures are, go to your user library (in OS Lion this is hidden, but you may access it by holding down the option (alt) key while clicking on "go" then you will see the library item in the list. Another option to access it is to go to finder, click on "go", select "go to folder" and paste this: "~/Library"
Once you are there, go to Mail - > v2 -> MailData
You will find a folder called "Signatures". Copy this folder.
Go to the same locatin in the other machine. Make a backup copy of the "Signatures" folder and replace it with the other machine's folder.
Open Mail and check everything is running.

  • Mac Mail Signatures - Double Spaced?

Mac Mail Signatures show up as double spaced in GMail, but if I type out the same text it's fine. If I send to myself and look at it with Mobile Me's online viewer, it's fine too. What's the deal?

Carolyn: Thank you for the reply, however neither deselecting nor selecting that option has any effect on the location of the signature. In both cases it will appear at the end of the string of emails.
This is a time consuming annoyance - it would seem to be an easy thing to program that the signature lands wherever at the location of the cursor???

  • Embedding a hyperlink in a New Mac Mail message

I know about Edit -> Add Hyperlink. But I'm astonished that dragging a favicon from a browser into the text area of a new message just drags the "dead" text --- furthermore, under certain circumstances, if you select the dead text, then Edit Hyperlink, an old, stale, inappropriate URL may be still be in the Edit Hyperlink box.
This is a recipe for creating misleading/phishing links.
Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to get a live URL into a Mac Mail message?
    Thanks .. cb

Gentoo, that does the trick nicely! A simple double click of the folder name does indeed bring up the text box for editing.
A big thank you for pointing that out, and i am sure there will be others wondering the same thing, so hopefully they will see your answer.
Sorry for delay in answering, i had not subscribed to the thread thinking that there was no way of doing it, so another thanks for sending me the pm letting me know you had answered.

  • Mac Mail signature: hyperlinks?

i had my signature set in my Mac Mail (on my G4 iBook) to include my homepage, written as such: www.ctfoto.com
...without the 'http://' included, it nonetheless appeared in emails i sent as a highlighted hyperlink.
now though, with my new PowerPC G5, this doesn't appear as a hyperlink unless i include the 'http://'. for esthetic reasons though, i'd rather have it without the 'http://'.
    so, two questions:
    a- can i do such a thing? is this a G5 issue?
b- will html work in the signature pane? or another similar language?
    (i guess that's four questions...)
    -thanks,

Here's what I do & a solution to all who want to use an HTML signature with links and even CSS in-line formatting. FYI Mail uses the web archive format to produce the signature file.
It looks more complicated than it really is:
    1. CLOSE THE MAIL APP
    2. Create the HTML you want to use as a signature.
    3. Open the file using Safari and save it as a web archive onto your desktop.
    4. Go into mail and create a new signature. This doesn't have to be anything special since you are going to overwrite it anyway.
    5. Open finder and navigate to Username > Library > Mail > Signatures
    6. Copy the name of the new signature (it's long!) you just created there (the one with today's date and time you created it incase there are others).
    7. Rename the webarchive you created on your desktop from the HTML signature you created in step 1 with the name of the 'Mail-created' signature.
    8. Copy that webarchive into the Signatures folder and replace the other one with the same name.
    9. Reopen Mail and assign your new signature to your account(s).
I even use images in a few of mine. Have a blast.

  • Problems adding a new email address to .mac mail account

I'm trying to set up a second email address on my new .mac mail account and I'm stuck. What would be the account description/type/ingoing server/outgoing server for a new account. I've read the directions on mail help to no avail. Also, suddenly my "saved email" option on the left vertical bar is gone. I assume it's because the box got too full (i really liked it . Does anyone know how to access/empty/make it reappear as a mail function ?
    Thanks for your time.

Yes, I am a new .mac subscriber. I have a main mac address: [email protected] and then have my old aol address ( [email protected]) mail 'shunted ?' into my new mac address.
My partner now needs an email address for his own online banking account. I'm looking for the easiest way to do this under my mac account.
Saved email folder was an option on the vertical pane under "Inbox" "Sent Mail" "Junk Mail." I used it to store important incoming emails.
Thanks so much for your time,

  • ALIGNING PHOTOS IN MAC MAIL

I am going crazy trying to align my photos in e-mail at the top center and then align left my text.
Easy to do and It always looks fine: when I am composing.
When friends receive my messages, photos are always aligned to the left.
Same when I review my own sent folder.
I even tried <center> and </center> before and after the photo.
I can't believe the APPLE would allow one to do this in compostion and then betray the command.
    Thanks for any help!
    John

Do your typing first, then add the photo where you wish.

  • Multiple email accounts in mac mail signatures

My boss uses Mac Mail with five different email accounts, each with an associated email signature.
When she composes an email, the "from" field defaults to whichever email account she used last, and its associated signature appears in the email. This is her issue since switching to Mavericks (not sure which version) : When she switches the "from" field from, say, her personal account to her legal practice account, both signatures appear in the email. In other words, the signatures don't switch when she switches accounts-- they just pile up at the end of the email.
Is there a setting that will allow her signatures to switch with the accounts, rather than her needing to go back and delete the additional signatures?

    1. OK, so I see a menu of outgoing smtp servers. Does that replace the 'sent from' field or is it just using that server to send the message?
The SMTP server is unrelated to the 'from' address.
The pop-up menu referenced only exists if you have multiple accounts configured in Mail.app preferences - if you only have one account then there's no point in Mail.app offering the chance to choose which account to send from.
You should use Mail Preferences to create additional accounts, one for each email address you use. Each account can be linked to a specific SMTP and POP/IMAP server for sending and receiving mail for that address.
If you have multiple addresses that you use with a single SMTP/POP/IMAP account then you can use a single Account setup in preferences - just list each email address in a comma-delimited list in the 'email address' field. e.g. creating an account with 'email address' set to: '[email protected], [email protected]' will give you options for those two email addresses when you create a new message.

  • How do I get my Mac Mail signature to be single spaced close together and not what looks like a double space?

I am using Mac Mail on Mac Air  with 10.10.  I have a multi line signature but it looks double spaced and I can't get it to look like a single spaced signature.  I tried different fonts and sizes.
    Appreciate your assistance.

I Finally resolved my problem after much research. On my I pad 4 with retina in the field under settings there is a list to choose from-- ex. Aol,Google, yahoo, etc. I chose other and entered att. Used pw and bingo! Problem resolved. It is somewhat configured a little different; but at least I can get all of my 500 e mails.
apple takes IMAP but this is under pop And at least my persistence paid off. You would think something so simple would be informative to us in a better way.

  • Mac Mail Signature Font

    Hello Everyone,
I am having a very strange problem in my Mac mail program and was wondering if anyone had any advice.
Our company has new customized email signatures and whenever we use this signature in an email it changes the font in the body of the email to match the font contained in the signature which is too small to use for an email.
I was just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before and if so, how did they fix it?
    Thanks!!

On my mac book pro in Mac Mail when i change from one signature to another, it doesn't delete the previous signature so i end up with 2 in an email - how do i fix this?

I had the same issue, fixed it by creating a new signature and deleted the old one. Just copy and paste the content into a new signature and rename it afterwards. Hope that works for you too.
