Adding a line to an adobe fillable form

I have Adbobe X Pro and I am creating a fillable form. I want to be able to add a box that allows the Adobe reader user to add an additional line or activity to the report. I have been trying to search for this but can't find it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Lauried13,
You'll need to use LiveCycle Designer to create this type of functionality.  LiveCycle Designer ships with Acrobat X Pro for Windows.  Please take a look at this tutorial for more info: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/creating-expanding-form-fields

  • Adobe Fillable Forms in Power Point using Windows 7

    Hi,
I have created fillable forms using Acrobat.  Then I inserted them in a Power Point presentation slide, one in each slide.  I used the "Action" function for the object to "Open" with mouse click in the presentation.  Using Adobe Reader as my default viewer it worked fine on an XP system but with Windows 7, when I click the form before starting the presentation it only opens in "minimized mode" and you have to click it to have it open.  When you start the presentation and click on the form icon it moves to the next slide in the presentation.  I would be very gratefull for any help.

Another option is to use PDF for the presentation. That's what I've done for many years now and haven't looked back.

  • Adobe fillable form in browser will not print

We access any adobe fillable form in our web browser (verses opening adobe reader first). This form cannot be saved so that way people don't accidentally over write the original. Recently, several people have not been able to print the filled out form, it just doesn't do anything after clicking print and selecting the printer. They can print from the same filled form that's been opened in adobe reader.
The only fix we can find is running a repair on adobe reader then rebooting the computer, which takes way too long, plus the problem resurfaces a few days later. We are using Adobe Reader X for sure on one of the computers, but I'm not 100% sure if that's what we have on all of them having this issue.
    Any help?

I have updated one computer to 10.1.13 and protected mode has been off the whole time, but it still has this issue. It would not print the PDF form from IE earlier today, but when I took a look at it, it had no issue. It was strange how it resolved itself, but it should work while the customer is needed something printed.
There was a second computer with the exact same issue, this time with Adobe Reader X 10.1.7, that also resolved itself once I looked at it.

  • Blank value added to dropdown list in Adobe Interactive forms

    Hi,
I see blank value being added to the value list by default to dropdown lists in adobe interactive forms. The real issue is it's being added sometimes as the first value or last value in the drop down list of values which is inconsistent and resulting in Errors sometimes.
Is there a way by which we can control the position of the blank value added by default(SAP or Adobe) to the drop down lists in adobe interactive forms .? Secondly , Is this a SAP or Adobe upgrade issue since we observed this issue only after recent upgrades ...?
I am using HCM processes and forms and I am not adding blank value (space) explicitly in my coding of dropdown list values .
    Thanks for your time .

    Hi Sankeerth,
The Web Dynpro framework generates a blank entry to the value set of the dropdown listbox if the Context attribute bound to the dropdown listbox is "nullable" (see properties of the Context attribute).
The dropdown listboxes of interactive forms will be populated with exactly the same data (value sets) as the "native" Web Dynpro dropdown lisboxes.
For SAP NetWeaver 7 EhP2, there's a Web Dynpro test application (WDR_TEST_ADOBE_ZCI) available, which demonstrates this: Start it and see the dropdown listboxes labeled "Datatype" and "Datatype (nullable)": Both are bound to Context attributes which are of type DATATYPE_D. The only difference is that one of the attributes is "nullable". The dropdown listbox bound to the nullable attribute contains the additional blank entry.
Watch the native Web Dynpro dropdown listboxes below the interactive form: They are bound to the same Context attributes and contain the same value sets as the dropdown listboxes of the interactive form!

  • ? about Adobe Fillable Forms?

this may be a stupid question because i've only had a half a day to figure out how to make a fillable form, which i did and i understand that you receive a datafile when they hit the submit button. What i want to know if there any way to set it up to actually get the form back with the info filled in without having the recipient having to save the file to their computer and re-attach it.
thanks for any info. When i have time i'll read the book :)

I believe you have posted to the wrong forum. The Adobe Output Designer is the form design software used with the Adobe Output Server ("Central Pro" server) software for producing hard copy output. It can make filled PDF files but it doesn't have a user "fill" feature - you have to use other software for that purpose.
Your question is very similar to those that have been asked at the Adobe LiveCycle Designer forum over the past several months. Unfortunately, for what you want it to do it appears that the answer is that the software doesn't support that capability.
If I'm correct and this is the wrong forum and the Live Cycle one is the correct one, then browse the posts there or repost your question there for a more definitive answer.
One good thing about that forum (over this one) is that it is monitored by actual Adobe staff that are very helpful.

  • Adobe Fillable Form

We currently have a form which was scanned in and made fillable I have been asked if there is a way of making this a multi page form and also be able to go back into it and keep adding items. Would appreciate any help on this matter. I would attach the actual PDF, but cannot find how to if someone could help on this one.
    Thanks
    Ray

You can scan more pages into a separate file, create fillable fields and then insert these pages into the old file. You can add more fields to the old file: Forms -> Add or Edit Fields. If you want to post pdf files for us to look at to better explain what you want, then you can create an account at acrobat.com and post pdf files there.

  • How to create the "adobe fillable forms" templates just like wipro form fac

    Hi
Can any one help me in developing pre-built industry and process specific forms which are readily customizable and easy to deploy and use. Please help me we are developing our own tools.
    Thanking you.
    Sincerely,

    Hi,
For SAP interactive forms, just fill the variable FILLABLE as 'X' for interface import parameter /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS.

  • Adding filename and path to Adobe Designer form footer

We are developing a form and Document Control required the form have a field on the form footer to show the live "Path & filename".
I need what is shown in the properties under "File" to show up in the footer. I have been unable to locate the correct syntax to type in the footer.
Can you tell me how this can be accomplished?

Create a field on your masterpage. Get rid of the caption, appearance=none and set as Protected. Also set your width to expand to fit. In the layout:ready event of your field, add this JavaScript:
    this.rawValue=event.target.path
    That should do it.

  • Change the "Instructions Line" in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro for fillable forms

I have created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro - Currently the Instructions say "Please fill out the following form" - I need to change it to "Fill out highlighted fields, choose "Print Form", and follow Instructions on printed Form".  I don't know how to customize the default instructions.

You don't have the ability to change that. If you did, it could be used to spoofing purposes. You can display instructions in a popup dialog or button on the page that when clicked hides itself.

  • How do I change the color of font in a fillable form in Adobe Reader? How can I check if the writer of the document has given permission to edit color and not just add text?

How do I change the color of font in a fillable form in Adobe Reader? How can I check if the writer of the document has given permission to edit color and not just add text? Please help! I'm technologically challenged.

Most forms (99% or more) are created for simple text input, where you cannot change anything.
The creator of the form could allow Rich Text input (which allows you to change font, text size, color, etc.), but frankly I have never seen such a form, and I wouldn't know how they look.  But I'm sure they would show some kind of controls to alter the text appearance.

  • Fillable Form will not print from Adobe Reader on iPad or iPhone - Works on a PC

I created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat X Pro.  I saved it giving it full Adobe Reader capabilities.  I emailed it to myself and a friend so that we could open it up on our iPad and iPhone using Adobe Reader, fill in the information and then print the document.   When we send to print, it only prints the form, but not anything we entered.     When I opened the document in Adobe Reader on my Dell PC, it worked fine and I could print the document including everything that I entered.    What could the glitch be with iPad and iPhone.  We are running the latest IOS6 version with Adobe Reader  installed.  Why won't this work?

It should work with the update to Reader 10.4. "Enhaned compatibility with AirPrint means improved printing of completed forms as well as documents with comments."
I don't have AirPrint on my printer to test. Is your printer AirPrint compatible?
I can get it to work with Printer Pro which I'm running on my iPad.

  • I need help in converting a pdf to a fillable form in my adobe

I need help in converting a pdf to a fillable form in my adobe

"Adobe" is a company. If you mean "Adobe Reader" then you can't (at least not easily). You need Adobe Acrobat for that.

  • How do I send a PDF fillable form from Adobe Reader Acrobat?

I just installed Adobe Reader in my iPad to send a fillable form but as I sent it out the form is received blank by the recipient.  How do I save the PDF fillable form and send it out with the filled out information.  I am able to save it in Acrobat but for some reason I send the form but the recipient receives it blank.  What can I do?  Thank you for your help.

Your recipient needs to use Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to reliably view a filled form. Chances are they are using a third-party, substandard PDF reader like Apple Preview. Adobe Reader is a free download; if necessary, you could provide them a link from the Adobe website.
