Adding a logo to 500 photos in Lightroom.

I need to add a logo to 500 photos and I would like to use lightroom. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
The output should be individual photos in JPG format and I need to batch this project.
Thanks in advance,
Dean

Search for making a droplet in PS, and then using a droplet as an
export action in LR. I've never personally done it, but it's supposed
to work.
OR .. investigate using LR2/Mogrify plugin to add a
watermark/copyright to images, again as an export in LR (no PS needed)

How do I take an edited photo from lightroom 5 to elements 12?

Marsha, you seem to be a bit confused or perhaps uninformed about how Lightroom works. Lightroom should be at the beginning of your workflow. Whether you are working on raw images or JPEG, or whatever, Lightroom is where you should begin. None of the adjustments that you make using Lightroom are applied to the image. They are saved in the catalog progressively as you work on the image. Photoshop Elements sits in a secondary position in the typical workflow. In Lightroom, there is an option to "Edit in", and Photoshop Elements or Photoshop or whatever editor you have chosen will be one of the choices. You go to Elements to do things that cannot be done or can be done more efficiently in the other program. When you have finished making the adjustments in Elements a new copy of the image containing both the Lightroom adjustments and the Elements adjustments will be created, and will be added to the Lightroom catalog.
If you want an edited copy of your image in Elements than you would want to use the export function in Lightroom to export a copy that would include all adjustments that have been made. A typical workflow would be to maintain your master set of images, including copies created by Elements because of additional editing in that program, and then export JPEG copies suitable for posting on the web, for e-mail, or for sending to a lab to be printed. After those copies that were exported have been used for their intended purpose, they can be deleted, and you only have your master images to maintain in case there are other adjustments or new approaches in the future.

  • How do I sync only 40 of my 500 photos in iPhoto to my iPhone?

Question: How do I sync only 40 of my 500 photos in iPhoto to my iPhone?
    This is what I did:
1-Created a "New Album" in iPhoto
    2-Named it "iPhone"
3-Dragged in the 40 photos (of the 500 photos in my iPhoto library) into the "New Album" named iPhone
    4-Synced.
Result: Now when I go to the "Photo" widget on my iPhone I see:
"Camera Roll" "iPhoto (40)" and "iPhone (40)"
Why is it showing that I have the same 40 photos in under "iPhoto" and "IPhone"?
Shouldn't it say only "Camera Roll" and iPhone (40)"? Thanks!

You only have 40 photos on the phone, and there are not 40 duplicates.
What you're seeing is not unlike iTunes, where you have Library, and under it, playlists. Think of the album "iPhone" as a playlist, and "iPhoto" as the Library.
If you added another album called "iPhone2" and synched again, you would see "iPhoto", "iPhone", and "iPhone2". "iPhoto" would show all the photos from both "iPhone" and "iPhone2".
    Make sense?

  • How to tell Windows to open photos in Lightroom?

I have Lightroom and Elements 12 on my computer (Windows Vista Home Premium). The computer automatically opens every photo in Elements 12.  However, I want to open my photos in Lightroom.  How can I change this setting?  Thank you.  June E.

Lightroom doesn't work that way. The normal workflow is to do the following:
    1. Start Lightroom.
    2. Open the export dialogue and locate the images that you want to work on in Lightroom.
    3. Import those images into Lightroom. This simply creates a marker showing Lightroom where the image is located.
    4. After the images have been imported, you can make your adjustments using Lightroom.
In order to work on images in Lightroom, it is necessary that they be added to the Lightroom catalog. This is done with the import process. Because of this workflow it is not logical to expect to be able to double-click on an image and have it open in Lightroom.

    Hi,
For Windows, in Lightroom preferences for external editing, have you added a custom setting for the elements 12 editor?
Click on the Choose button and navigate to the editor
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
[omit the (x86) if on 32bit system]

  • Why would Aperture be "processing" 6,500 photos?

Yesterday my Aperture library suddenly stopped opening.  I'd get the "Opening Aperture Library" message and it would just sit there.  I opened the program with command-option held down and chose the second option, to check the library or something.  It did that, then went to "Opening Aperture Library" - and just stayed there again.  So I did another force quit, repeated the command-option start, but this time I didn't get the opportunity to rebuild the database - it went directly into "Opening Aperture Library", where it sat again.  I did another force quit, rebooted the computer, and after that Aperture opened quite quickly and seemed to be working pretty normally.
Then yesterday evening I went to use Aperture again and noticed it was extremely sluggish (and I mean extremely).  I finally got the activity windo to open, and it apparently was in the process of processing 6,500 photos - about half of the library.  So I started this post with that question.
But now we have a new wrinkle.  I quit Aperture last night when it still had 4,500 photos left to process.  I started it a few minutes ago before beginning this post.  And after a couple of minutes, it "quit unexpectedly" and gave me the option to reopen.  I reopened, and it promptly quit again.  I've been through 4 iterations of that now.  I am about to try opening again with command-option, but am wondering if anyone has seen such behavior before.
I have an iMac about 3-1/2 years old, with 4 GB memory running Lion.  Switched to Lion a couple of weeks ago and had no problems till now.

I think I have finally solved this.
It turns out that there were two jpeg files in my library that somehow became corrupted.  When I finally located them, I found that not only did they cause Aperture to "quit unexpectedly" whenever it tried to process them (I am guessing it was building thumbnails), but Preview would also crash if I tried to use it to view them, and if I tried to drag them into a Mail message, Mail would crash.  Photoshop Elements was able to open them with no problem, but Adobe Reader would give a message that the files were corrupted and it could not open them.
I have no idea what caused them to be corrupted.  They have been in the Library for years.  But once I removed them, Aperture finished its processing and is running pretty much normally now.  The only problem is that a lot of the thumbnails have a strange green cast that goes away if I regenerate the preview.
I sent feedback to Apple on this. I couldn't attach the files to the feedback form (there is no provision for this) but offered to zip them and email them if they wanted the files for debugging.  I hope they take me up on that, as no one should have to deal with this, and it's only luck that I stumbled on the real problem.  I was "this close" to becoming a Lightroom user!

  • Getting an error of limit of 500 photos for published album when trying to upload to Flickr

I'm trying to upload to my Flickr Pro account and I am now getting an error message saying:
"You may put a maxiumum of 500 photos in this published album. Only the first 500 photos will be added to this published album. If you want to publish more photos, publish another album."
This happens only when I'm trying to upload to a specific set which has 111 photos on Flickr. If I try to send to another set, it works. I can work around this, but I'd like to figure out what's going on.
What does this actually mean, and how am I able to continue to publish to the correct Flickr set?
    Thanks.

  • Creating a slideshow with 500+ photos

I am trying to create a slideshow that will run continuously with over 500 photos and burn it to a DVD. Is there any way to do this in iDVD? I want to be able to use the titles of the photos also. I tried doing it in iMovie, but when I added a title to the photo, it did not keep the title on the photo for the entire time. It split the photo into 2 parts, with the title and without.

I put all of the photos into iMovie, added a title to each photo using the "Music Video" title and it split the photo. I tried to edit it and make it last the lenght of the clip and everything got completely messed up. Only parts of the title would show up on some, a photo would just flash in-between regular photos, and many other errors.
Is there any way for me to do the same in iDVD? I know it limits the number of photos to 99 per slideshow, but can I make them run continuously?
    Thank you,
    Julie

  • Hi, I tried to create a slideshow that contain more than 500 photos. Now, trying to open / execute / select the slideshow, iPhoto hangs with the spinning coloured wheel and I have only to force the deletion from System Preference. Any suggestion?

Hi, I tried to create a slideshow that contain more than 500 photos. Now, trying to open / execute / select the slideshow, iPhoto hangs with the spinning coloured wheel and I have only to force the deletion from System Preference. I already tried to rebuild the iPhoto Library (all the possible options) and tried to update teh version from 9.4.3 to 9.5 but the problem still persists: is there a way to delete this slideshow without selecting it ? How can I solve the problem, please?
    Kind Regards

Can you restore your iPhoto Library from a backup version, that was created before you added the slideshow?
If not, have you tried to rebuild the slideshow with iPhoto Library Manager?
As described by Terence Devlin here:  Re: iphoto library was created with an unrelased version of iphoto please quit and ugrade library by opening it in iphoto 2 or iphoto 4

  • Syncing a moved folder is not bringing back all the photos to Lightroom

I have moved and renamed a folder in the external harddrive. Syncing that moved folder in lightroom is not working in bringing back all the photos to Lightroom - Although all the photos exist in that folder as I have confirmed through windows explorer.
Another Option: If I choose "import photos to this folder option" in LR and browse to the source to that folder - the missing photos are shown as shaded back and the import button (bottom right corner) is not highlighted. Therefore I cannot select these missing photos and hence cannot import them to the folder.
    PLEASE ADVISE!

In the Folders Panel, the original folder should be listed with a "?" mark, because Lightroom can no longer find it. Right-click on it, select "Find Missing Folder", then browse to and select the renamed folder in its new location.
Note....these type of problems will continue to happen if you continue to rename and/or move folders or files outside of Lightroom. Do it using Lightroom and no such problems will arise.

  • Send a raw photo from lightroom to photoshop as a smart "object"

how to send a raw photo from lightroom to photoshop as a smart "object" not a flat "image" so it does not flatten the image but so I still get all the adjustments i have made in lightroom to show up in photoshop?

Select the image in Lightroom, choose 'Edit in' from Photo menu then choose 'Open as Smart Object in Photoshop'. The file will transfer to Photohop (Ps) complete with Lr applied edits which can be refined in Camera Raw by double clicking on icon in the Ps Layers panel (see screen shot).

  • How to delete all photos in Lightroom Mobile?

I would like to delete all of the photos in my Lightroom Mobile photo library. A one-step procedure would be ideal.
For background: My Lightroom desktop catalog has tens of thousands of photos and hundreds of collections. When I was first getting familiar with Lightroom Mobile, I synced all of my photos with the service. This was a mistake; I did not realize that this would result in large amounts of data filling up my mobile devices (I thought the service worked more like Dropbox, OneDrive, etc., where photos are loaded as-needed). My Lightroom Mobile photo library is now much too large to fit on my mobile device, and even partially syncing fills up my devices immediately. I want to clear out my library and start over.
Individually selecting each image in the web interface is not a practical solution. It is also not practical to keep all of the photos in Lightroom mobile and then delete unwanted collections from individual mobile devices, since this would involve deleting hundreds of events from each mobile device each time I set up Lightroom Mobile. I would like to clear my library and start over with a small number of synced collections.
Any advice on how this could be done would be appreciated!

In Preferences > Lightroom Mobile, there's a Delete all Data button.
