Adding a new contact anymore after the IOS5 upgrade!
I can not add a new contact anymore after the IOS5 upgrade - the " + " sign is gone? - how can this be fixed?
I think cpohlink has made a good observation. The same issue- no plus sign- is showing up in both calanders and contacts for some people. I have the plus sign on both apps, and do not have the problem at all. So what is the difference?
I have i cloud turned off for everything but find my phone. And i am not synced to any external calander or contact list except my phone.
Change your cloud settings to off, and see if that does it. Also, think about what other clalanders/ contact lists you might be syncing with. If they ae considered the 'master' then that may make the pad pad a slave, and unable to add entries.
Related question, can you edit entries, or is that blocked as well?

What I really love about android is that you can choose which account to save contacts every time you are adding a new contact right in the "New Contact" form.
Since I changed my phone from beloved nexus 5 to iPhone 5S (Just kidding) I could not this feature in iPhone contact. It is only possible to choose your default contact service from setting, but what I need is that AS I am adding new contact I get to change the destination for this contact if I want.
Thanks GuysYou can set up groups for your contacts but you need to log in to www.icloud.com on your computer and do it in settings there. Other than that I am not aware of any way to achieve what you want

On your new iPhone tap Settings > Store.
Make sure Books is turned ON.
You shouldn't need to re purchase the book > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -

Adding reminders to my calendar items is no longer an option after the software upgrade. I also can't get to day and week view, only month view. What's a possible solution? I'm using Andriod version 4.4.2 with kernal 3.4.0.

It would be nice if I could put together the fields in the "new contact" window in the adress book, or at least highlight the ones I need with bold letters or a different color. Is there a way? Thank you.

If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -
Hello, I have transferred my Acrobat XI Pro from old MAC to the new one. After the transfer can not open any PDF file. Any idea how to solve this?

Could you please specify how exactly did you transfer Acrobat from one MAC to other.
You might need to deactivate the software from your old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number (for Acrobat license) or Adobe credentials (for Acrobat subscription).
If you have done the same way, then let me know if you are able to open Acrobat itself.
Do you get any specific error message while opening a PDF?

I have tried the above fix and iTunes crashes giving error 27 after trying to load the iPhone firmware.
I have booted my phone in DFU mode and this has made no difference.
My mac is up to date.
My iTunes is up to date.
All i tried to do was update my ios as i have been unable to make calls or send text's all day.
Do you have any other suggestions as my phone is no good to me now.

After the ios5 my Iphone 4 it´s not accepting charges from any type of charge ( pc/car/dock/wall).
Now the battery is dead what should I do? I tryed in the computer but the USB it´s not regonizing the Iphone. Please someone help me!!!
Now the battery is over. The Iphone don´t even turn ON.I lost all my data.
Waht sould I do?Unfortunately when I try to restore the battery is not enouth to complete the process. So the computer still not reconizing the Iphone.
And I tryed 5 different cabes and still not working, I got my brother Iphone and worked on his ( he did not upload the osi5).
I belive could be something related to the internal connector but when I tryed I music dock when the battery was still on I was abble to listen some music but not charge.
Now since I bought in USA and I live in Brazil the Apple store here do not give me this service of "fixing" the problem by the guaranntee even with my world guarantee ( I bought in NY July 2011).
I really don´t know what to do since this is the only device that uses the micro ship. -

I may have solved it from another post....the "sync music" tab wasn't clicked under "Summary/Music". I had recently downloaded a more recent version of iTunes, and it may have defaulted to that....sigh.....

Ipad not recognized by windows neither iTunes after error in the iOS5 upgrade
The iOS5 upgrade was stopped due to an error.
Since then the iPad is not being recognized by windows neither iTunes. I've re-installed iTunes, the file usbaapl.sys is at windows\system32\drivers and Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers folders but still there's an error when I plug in the iPad - Apple Mobile Device (Recovery) - This device can not start (code10).
I've call the support here in Brazil and the only information that I got was that this was due to the fact that I'm running windows XP and it doesn't support iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5. Can any one confirm this? Why there's no information on this when I installed the 10.5 version and downloaded the iOS 5?
Any help would be highly apreciated because now I have my iPad asking to be connected to iTunes and no chance to get a PC with a different version of Windows...Glad you got it fixed - and I wasn't trying to be a wise guy.
It just seemed logical to me that if iTunes recognized the iPad and the iPhone - but they didn't show un in your Windows Devices Manager or Explorer or whatever it's called - that it was probably a Windows thing.
