Adding a new page to portal

Hi,
i am new to BSP.I developed a simple BSP page in R3 side with SE80 transaction.Now i have to add the link to our company portal web page.How should i do that?Do i need to make any customizing to map my page to portal in R3 side?

You need to user "SAP BSP Iview" for integrating BSP application in the portal.

InDesign CC crashes when i adding a new page

Hi together!
When I adding a new page InDesgin CC crashed. I tested it on two PC with Windows 7 and Windows 8. I also created a new document. Always the same problem when adding a new page. Can anyone help me?

Having similar problem for second time (different files, different content) in the past two months.
Using IDCC2014 (10.2.0.69) on Mac OS 10.10.3.
When inserting a new frame (whether a newly placed image or an empty frame) with text wrap, text reflows (as expected) but InDesign quits (no warning or error, it just quits).
Inserting a new page and reflowing text also causes ID to quit.
Finding earliest page in document where the problem begins (similar to above reply; in my two cases that is p. 2 and p. 23) and deleting the text frame on that page causes ID to quit.
I work on quite a few books with many elements, but the files in question are just straight text with page numbers (not even running heads) and some illustrations to be inserted.
Saving as IDML does not resolve the issue. Trashing preference does not resolve the issue.
Dragging pages to a new file does not resolve the issue. But if text is copied-and-pasted into a new file then that new file will work fine.
The problem is consistent at various work stations across three different locations/networks.
The only fix has been to delete ALL of the document pages from the affected area on and do the work again, i.e., redraw new pages and apply the chapter opening master pages again. Deleting just the first page where problem is found or the first two pages where problem is found or first four pages where problem is found, etc., causes ID to quit.
In the case of this second file (I don't have the first file onhand right now), it does not have a long save history; it's not from a legacy template file or something like that. Cracking open the IDML file confirms only four saves beyond the initial creation and all in IDCC2014.
Anyone else coming across this problem? Any suggestions?

Calling new page from Portal menus

I have created a portlet which contains a menu generated using the Menu Wizard and the LINK within this menu was populated using the popup window provided within the menu editor. Any Forms or Reports called from this menu are not generated as a new page. I have gone into the portlet repository and defined these reports / forms as an applicaton that should open in new window but it still doesn't work.
How can I get the applications that are called via the LINK in a Menu to break out into a new window without having to hardcode each LINK Menu item.

Portal menus works that way. The links open in the same page. If you want to open it in a new window
then in the menu wizard where you specify the links, call the link using javascript like this
javascript:void open('<portal_schema>.CAL_0520032153.SHOW')
or
javascript:void open('http://www.oracle.com')
This will open the calendar or the url in a new window.

Problems in adding a new Page

I am trying to create a new project in JDev using OAF. I could successfully create a VO as well as AM but when I go to the OA Components the items under it - Package file, Page, Region are all inactive.
At the bottom it is written that "+To enable this option, you must select an Oracle Applications project or a file within an Oracle Applications project in the Navigator+".
Does it mean I have missed out some property setting to my project.
Can any one please help me.

Hi Hawker ,
To create a new OAF page , you need to follow the below steps
1>Create workspace
2>Create project (Here you need to give the project directory structure)
3>Create page
4>Create VO ...
5>Assign VO to AM
So to see the structure window you need to go to the respective page in the project in jdev, then you can see the property inspector in the right side of Jdev, there you can give all the details about the page i.e page title, window title, AM name etc...
OR
Still the property inspector is inactive then you can select it from view tab.

Adding a Disclaimer Page in Portal while logging on.

Hello All,
I have a requirement where an authenticated user logging for the first time will get to see a disclaimer page. Once the user accepts, he should be directed to the Portal content as usual and if he does not accept then the user will log off from the Portal.
Second time when he logs in there will be no disclaimer page for those who have accepted it.
Please can you help me and guide me through the possibilities.

The way i see it is either to have a db table, which is not a viable solution.
The other way, create a role ABC, do not assign that role to any user with Entry Point NO
When the user logs in, check for the role, if the role is not available, assign the role, and show him the disclaimer page,
On accept of the disclaimer, navigate to Home page of the portal
On Decline, call the logon module to logoff
Next time if the same user logs in, check for the roles, if it has the role ABC, navigate directly to Home Page.
I am not sure if there is any standard way to do it.

Adding a new page from a different computer

I have built a site on my laptop and uploaded it and would now like to add another page from my computer at work. Obviously I would like it to be consistent. Is there any way I can pull off the .html file and folder from one of my pages on my server and import it into my iWeb on my computer?

It is not possible to "import" htlm files into iWeb. What you need to do is find the Domain file in yourusername/library/application support/iWeb. Move this file to a usb flash drive or some other portable drive. (While you are at it, make a backup copy-or two or three-and keep them safe somewhere) You can then take this drive back and forth between work and home. Double click on the Domain file to open it in iWeb.

Can I create a new document with a locked PDF file, add new pages, and lock it all again?

I published a PDF document ten years ago and now want to add Creative Commons licensing language to the copyright page. But I forgot the password! I gather from the Forum that there is no way to recover the password. However, I wonder if I can take the locked PDF file, create a new document (adding a new page for the licensing information), then lock the whole thing up again. Will this work? Need to add a new page 1 to a completed form

I have a 4 page form that was completed. Now I need to add a new page 1 with information in text fields. When I insert a page it is inserted as the last page. I then move the page in the Hierarchy to the correct position and get 2 blank pages. When I try to delete the first one, I'm told there is no subform so the page cannot be deleted and the command is ended.

    I think I found the issue with the form..you can confirm..
    For the page/ Subform "GuestSysAccessReq" you selected "Following Previous", for "Place" under Pagination tab. And rest of the Pages/ subforms you selected "Top of Next Page" as a value for "Place". And again at the end for "guidelines" page you selected "Top of Page -> Page1" as a value for "Place".
   I corrected all the pages/ subforms to have the same value for the "Place" field as "Top of Page -> Page1" and then I added a new page and I could able to move the page to be the first page in the heirarchy. It did not add an empty page.. I am attaching the modified frm in the forum for your reference..

Submit Button and New Pages

Hello all~
The questions i have may be too complicated for this forum,
but as I'm struggling desperately, I thought I'd give it a try.
I bought a premade site almost a year ago, and I managed to
update it myself, but I've never been able to get the submit button
on the contact form to work. The reset button works - without any
help from me, but nothing happens when the submit button is
clicked. I'm trying to rekindle my business and so am in need to
update the site, but I can't seem to figure these things out.
Second problem, I need to rearrange some of the pages and
also add new ones, but I tried adding a new page, and can't figure
out how to find the number of the pages that I add. The
actionscript looks like this:

the movieclips are name b1, b2,... etc and, if your buttons
are movieclips, they are on the timeline that contains your
movieclip buttons and, if your buttons are true buttons, they are
on the parent timeline of the timeline that contains your
buttons.

Why do I receive a "Page nor available" error message on my site after I add a link to a new page?

At work, I have been adding a new page to an existing folder. This appears to be properly placed in my site folder on my desktop. I also have the new page linked and saved. However, after I link the page, save it, manually "put" the page onto the existing site, then refresh the page, when I go into the actual site and click on the link, it reads an error message that the site is temporarily unavailable.
As a test, I used the same method to link to one of the existing links that already exist within the site, and it connected just fine.
What am I doing wrong?

Assuming the path to your links is correct, sounds like it could have been a server glitch. Normally, if the page is not found, you receive a 404 error. If the server is down or your internet connection times out, you'll get "site is temporarily unavailable."

Quick SAP Script question
I have added a new page to an existing SAP Script BUT only want it to print if a condition is true.
I need to do this from within the form as the print program is SAP Std.
Any idea how I can prevent the new page from printing?
i.e. I need the form NOT to call the new page if the condition is false. Is there a way of forcing an exit or stop from with in the form?

To trigger a new page, there is script ediotr command NEW-PAGE.
so find where is that command is triggered and use the below code for trigger it on any specific condition....
if &condition& = 'True'
/* NEW-PAGE
elseif
/: NEW-PAGE
endif
so it means if condition is satisfied your new page will not work.. else it will...

InDesign crashes when trying to insert a new page!

I use InDesign CS6 on a PC Win7.
Suddenly yesterday when I tried to insert pages in one of the chapters in a book I am working on (12 chapters, 260 pages) the software crashed!
I have tried 7 times more after that with different changes, like only open the chapter I want to insert pages in, restart the computer and so on.
Every time I try there is a "pling"-sound and It still crashes.
What to do?

Unfortunately there are lots of different things that can cause crashing behavior.
Here is a list of things you could try:
Check that you have the latest version of InDesign CS6 installed. Help > About InDesign (should be 8.0.2) - Adobe - InDesign : For Windows : Adobe InDesign CS6 8.0.2 update - All Languages
Save the document as an InDesign IDML file, and reopen that IDML file in InDesign, then save it as an InDesign file again.
Create a copy of the InDesign document and try opening that and adding a new page.
In the open InDesign document before adding a page: Edit > Preferences > Type, deselect the Smart Text Reflow option.
Delete cache files (see: InDesign preferences and support files locations page)
Rename InDesign preferences file (or delete).
Disable/Uninstall any third party plug-ins that are installed, and check that any third party plug-ins or extensions that are installed are compatible with the InDesign version used (depending on how they are installed you could do this from the Adobe Extension Manager application - see http://helpx.adobe.com/extension-manager.html).
If all of this fails, you might need to try and isolate which object in your document is causing the crash. That's generally a time-consuming task, but hopefully one or some of the above combined will provide you with a fix.
