Adding a page to a calendar

Hi there,
I'm creating a photo calendar for my extended family, and I'd like to include a page that lists everyone's contact info (or the back cover would be fine)...but I can't figure out a way to add a page or print something that's not a photo. The best solution I can come with is to add an extra month at the end, make a Photoshop doc with the text, and import it as if it was a full-page photo. But this seems like a silly workaround. Is there a solution? I know this is possible through something as simple as Snapfish, so I'd think it'd be doable in iPhoto!
Incidentally, I created a calendar last year, and used some text-as-graphics in the date squares (I was making holiday 'stock photo' images for the dates, and some coincided with birthdays). My images were 600 dpi tiffs, and they still printed a bit low-res in the finished calendar. So I'm worried about making a full page of text in my above workaround...will it even be readable?

You're solution is the only one that's possible since pages can't be added to a calendar and the back page is not editable.
If you use a jpg or png image of about 3000 x 1500 pixels you should get decent results. What is desired is an image around 300 dpi as that's the resolution of the pdf document that iPhoto creates for uploading and printing the calendar.
I think the png format will scale text better than a jpg or tiff.

Is there a way to automatically update events in the Outlook 2010 calendar when adding events in the iCloud calendar in Outlook 2010?

I am using Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I have synced my Outlook calendar with my iPhone using the iCloud Control Panel. This is great, but when I add an event in the iCloud calendar in Outlook 2010 and subsequently send out invitations to the event, I get the following error:
"This meeting is not in the Calendar folder for this account. Responses to this meeting will not be tallied. Do you want to send anyway?"
I select "Yes" and the invite goes out. However, when invitees receive the email invitation, there should be 2 emails - one from Outlook and one from iCloud. The iCloud invite does not always come through. If the invitee responds to the Outlook email invite, it does not show up on the iCloud Calendar.
Is there a reason that the iCloud email is not always sent or is there a way to some how update the Windows Outlook Calendar when adding events in the iCloud Calendar through Outlook?

Very annoying!
Now all off my meetings entered in Outlook on my desktop PC are not syncing with my ipad and iphone.
If I had known this would have happened I would never have downloaded Version 2.0 of the icloud control panel.
Does anyone know how I can get the earlier version back?

Getting Runtime error while adding Second page in Smartform.

I added 2 pages in smartform. When I worked with single page. smartform working properly. Now I added one more page(i.e Second page) I am getting runtime error. ("The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
situation". A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSTXBC" raised the exception
condition "ERROR".) When I debug this standard program Something width problem getting on line number 110. Both width not matched so program raising exception. Can you please tell me to solve this problem what changes will I do in my smartform?

Please let me know the details of each page.
Error can occur in these cases.
1) You copied the first page to second. and later you change the width of second page
2) You created the second page and there is template in second page. each column width is not matching with the total width of the template.
3) windows width is greater than the page width
Please have a look.

How to keep the SAME position of layout on left & right pages when adding a page?

A little background first before I ask the question:
I've been converting a PowerPoint document to the InDesign format, and adding pages as I go through by duplicating a page in order to keep the top description text in the same position at the top left hand side. The document is over 110 pages- more pages will be added soon, and some pages deleted. Basically the presentation will be printed as a book, and the client we are designing this presentation for sent us the master pages for the layout.
The issue I'm now having: I had to delete an odd number of pages which caused a shift of the layout of pages throughout the document after the pages I deleted. I figured that the right hand page was not aligned the same as the right hand page, so I measured in the same distance from the left edge on both pages and made the adjustments. But then when I added a page, the alignment shifted again.
Is this an issue with the master pages? Or is this another issue? Any idea how to fix this so that the pages are aligned the same whether I add or delete a page? I've included two screen grabs to better illustrate what is happening:

Those are your margin guides, and your client evidently expects the margins to be larger on the outside of the page than at the spine. Putting the text frame that says Main Building... on the master page will not only save you having to enter it each time, but will let you put it where it should be and have it stay there when pages switch sides. Your images are going to seem to shift, too, unless they are centered on the page on the horizontal axis.
I'm sensing you really have little or no experience using ID, and some basic training would probably help you quite a bit. I'll recommend Sandee Cohen's Visual Quickstart Guide to InDesign -- best book out there for beginners.

How to open image added to Pages doc in Preview app?

Hello,
Anyone know hot to open images added to Pages in preview app on Mac? When I click on any image with right mouse button I have in menu these options - "Open in Pixelmator and Capture selection from screen".
I tried to make my own Automator service "Open img in Preview" and it work well in Finder and other apps (I selected it in Automator option to work in all apps) but this service is not show in Pages > Services.
Anyone know how to fix it or how to make this service visible in Pages? I tried to found "Open in Pixelmator" workflow on my Mac to rewriting or save my "Open img in Preview" workflof into same folder but no chance. In (Library > Services etc)

I don't know how Pixelmator created their Service, but I suspect it involves programming that is beyond my abilities.
The following AppleScript will copy the selection in Pages and open a new preview window from the clipboard. It could be run as a Service with Automator. (It will also leave the image on the clipboard; if that is a problem, it could probably be modified, but I didn't get that sophisticated with it.)

After spending three months building a twenty six page Book Project in iPhoto i added a page and later decided to delete the page. I selected the page, pressed the delete key and confirmed the delete dialog box ( i didn't read, dummy) by pressing the delete button. The whole project was gone, the undo menu was grayed out and there was nothing in the iPhoto trash about my Book.
Surly I can find this if I knew the path to find the project in a library on a back column I have of my hard drive.. Could anyone help me?

Sorry I'm having a hard time getting this.
If I go to my hard drive BIGMAC>Library>Application Support>iPhoto>the only thing in this folder is Themes.
However, when I "Get Info" it's 580MB for 24,421 items. iPhoto says I have 35,977 photos. I would think the database would be into the GB for this many photos.
If I go to BIGMAC>system>Library>I find nothing about iPhoto
Is the iPhoto file in the Application Support the one I need to replace with my backup?

I am using EP5 (5.06.01.00). After adding a page to a role, the properties of the page in the role no longer include the field "Location of Linked Object". The properties now only consist of two fields: "Name" and "Location". They used to contain a third field "Location of Linked Object", in fact, in older roles the page properties still contain this field. However, when I now add pages to a role or workset, this third property field "Location of Linked Object" is not there. - I am adding the page by clicking the "Add" button to move a page from the "View" area to the role in the "Edit" area. - I have been observing this symptom for several months, but I can not identify any configuration changes or upgrades which would have caused this behavior.
All hints will be greatly appreciated.

If you are directly connected to the server, just create a
folder in (from what it looks like) Z:\ToExport\RepDocs\ that is
the new folwer name, ex:
Z:\ToExport\RepDocs\NEW_folder and put files into it. If you
are now directly connected to the server, use a program like FTP
server to connect via FTP and do the same.

currently there is no provision to set page titles in page heirearchy.

You can very well set the page titles in navigation model and in page level also through af:document tag.

Adding blank pages

I need to add a blank page (between 3 & 4) to my 109 page narrative with photos interspersed on the pages.
How can I do that? I have tried adding a "blank page" suggested in 'sections'. But it only added a page at the end.

Not sure which word processor you are using but they generally work the same way. Move the cursor to where you want to end page 3. Ususally under the Edit menu you can select Insert > Page Break. Then hit return a couple times and insert another page break.

Keynote is adding black pages when I use effcts and transitions

When I use effects on keynote pages such as disolve and I try to play back the presentation keynote seems to be adding blank pages between slides. Can anyone help me?

You could try to update your system to 10.4.11. That is the system requirement for iWork'09.
