Adding a Public Calendar to My Calendar in outlook

I am trying to add my work Public Calendar which is in the Public Folder part of Outlook 2007 to "My Calendars" so my iphone can see both of them, and when someone adds an appointment to the public calendar it sends it to my phone just like i have My Calender. My phone is already synced to the account so i can already see "My Calendar"

I actually found a solution in another forum but lost the link to it and believe it or not, I can no longer find that link :-/
But I remember it saying that if you use the close JS code you must also use the open JS code too.  In other words, if the only way to close a browser with JS is if you also opened that same window with JS.
The tut I found said that you can put a close JS link that's actually an open JS that opens a page.  But you also put code on that newly open page that redirects and closes it.  It sounds like a cool solution but I can't find it any more and looked every where.

  • Cannot add icloud public calendar to outlook

I work and live in a mixed Mac/PC environment.  The PCs are Windows 7 professional with Outlook 2010.  The Macs are Yosemite.  I would like to be able to subscribe to a public icloud calendar on one of the PCs.  We could do this a week ago.
Now when we add the calendar it crashes Outlook.  Furthermore, I noticed that the calendar address no longer ends in .ics which Outlook requires.
The new icloud control panel crashed Outlook as well.
I tried joining the private calendar and it does not show up in Outlook either.
Is the new icloud interface not ready for prime time?
    Any solutions or work arounds?
Thank you in advance for any help,
    Debbie

My Mac's not yet on Yosemite, so Yosemite's not the culprit.
An iCloud calendar populated from an iPad that I previously shared with my Outlook 2010 client on Windows 7 without error caused Outlook to crash, when Outlook initiated a sync attempt with my subscribed calendars, today (13th November 2014).  Removing the calendar subscription allowed Outlook to run without crashing. Re-subscribing using the iCloud-provided public calendar URL once again cause Outlook 2010 to crash.
My Windows 7 PC and Office 2010 are current with all updates as of 13th November 2014.

  • I can't sync 515 calendar with Outlook

The Nokia 515 is one of the simplest phones on the market, but the most complex to use.
I would like to be able to see my Calendar on my iPad, 515 and Laptop. Vodaphoe support told me that I could only synchronise the phone with a Microsoft Exchange account and I didn't have they suggested I set up an Outlook.com account.
This kind of worked at first. Items added to my calendar on Outlook.com would appear on the phone, but not vice versa. After a bit of fiddling I could see calendar entries in.
The present situation is that some entries created in Outlook 2013 appear in Outlook.com. The other entries I created today only appear on Outlook 2013 and at the bottom of the screen it says that ALL FOLDERS ARE UP TO DATE (Outllook's capitals, not mine). No they aren't!
Does anyone know how to force Outlook 2013 and Outlook.com to synchronise? I'm fed up with entering every calendar entry twice.

Because the Mail Exchange client in the Nokia 515 is not the best, did you consider to use
    Apple iPad via Apple iTunes,
Nokia 515 via Nokia Suite 3.7,
and in both cases, Microsoft Outlook 2013 as data source?

  • Add items into Exchange public calendar?

I'm trying to find out where I can find out if this is possible.
Our work has loaner hardware that our users can check out.  We use Exchange's public folders/calendar to see if the hardware is checked out on a particular day or not.
I'd like to see if I can find a way to see if a particular day has any items on it, and if not, allow the user (via Coldfusion) to reserve the item, which means Coldfusion would need to write info back to the public calendar that the item in question is checked out.
First of all, is this possible?  How difficult would it be?  And where can I find information on how to do this?
Any help, suggestions or other info would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi all,
Today I tried to do more tests and now I've some other news to you!!!
    Let me explain:
i looked that if i use one-way synchronization from Outlook to BB time and date of the appointments are correct.
Then I also discovered that by using two-way synchronization, with the notification before the changes, details of appointments are wrong and the appointments should be added on the day on which you are synchronizing and should occured for all the day; however, using the "synchronize again" button, with the second pass, the appointments were added with correct date and time!!
The problem with this second way is that changed or deleted appointments are added back to the device (BB or PC that is) from which they were deleted!
I hope these further information should give you any idea to help me to understand where the problem is.
    Thanks

  • How do I "unsubscribe" to a public calendar I've linked to?

I stupidly added a phases of the moon public calendar to appear on my "home" calendar and I don't want it there. Is there a way to delete all the events that appear every other day without having to do it day-by-day manually and get that silly subscription off my "home" calendar? I don't want to delete the "home" calendar because it has all the events I care about and want to keep. Help?
    Thanks.

  • User unable to create recurring events on public calendar.

As the title says, I have a user that is unable to create recurring events on a public calendar.
I have given full rights to the user even as owner and it still will not create recurring events.
I'm convinced its a permissions issue, but have no idea where to look any more. I've temporarily added the user in domain admins just to test, and it works! Why would this fix it? Why is being set as owner of the calendar not enough?
She just keeps getting "You do not have permission to modify some or all of these items in this folder."

What rights does she have on the folder?  You might try revoking her rights, then adding them back.
Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
Rights were set to Publishing Editor.
I changed the permissions to none and even removed folder visible. Confirmed she had no access and added them back. Still fails.
Then removed user account from permissions list, confirmed, added back, tested, failed.

  • Exchange 2003 Public Calendars

I would like to view my Exchange 2003 Public Calendars on my iPad 2 - iOS5.    Thanks

When the meeting is added to the exchange calendar, it wants to send the response. One way to solve it (and i think the easiest) is to configure the exchange account to send mail using a smart host. Configure your hosted email address as the default smtp
address - the server will send any mail it receives and the address on it will be your correct internet address.

  • How can I share my a public calendar from iCal (through iCloud) with Outlook for Windows users?

I have a public work calendar that I wish to share with colleagues in the office. No issues for those having a Mac or an iPhone, but how can I share the calendar with Outlook for Windows users?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hello ramirofromstrockholm,
The steps detailed below explain how to go about publicly share a calendar (which doesn't require that one be an iCloud user to accept).
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note:   You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

  • Is there a way to automatically update events in the Outlook 2010 calendar when adding events in the iCloud calendar in Outlook 2010?

I am using Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I have synced my Outlook calendar with my iPhone using the iCloud Control Panel. This is great, but when I add an event in the iCloud calendar in Outlook 2010 and subsequently send out invitations to the event, I get the following error:
"This meeting is not in the Calendar folder for this account. Responses to this meeting will not be tallied. Do you want to send anyway?"
I select "Yes" and the invite goes out. However, when invitees receive the email invitation, there should be 2 emails - one from Outlook and one from iCloud. The iCloud invite does not always come through. If the invitee responds to the Outlook email invite, it does not show up on the iCloud Calendar.
Is there a reason that the iCloud email is not always sent or is there a way to some how update the Windows Outlook Calendar when adding events in the iCloud Calendar through Outlook?

I have just discovered this problem as well.
    Very annoying!
Now all off my meetings entered in Outlook on my desktop PC are not syncing with my ipad and iphone.
If I had known this would have happened I would never have downloaded Version 2.0 of the icloud control panel.
Does anyone know how I can get the earlier version back?

  • Outlook public calendar - color changing curiousity

Just wondering why when viewing Outlook 2010 public calendar, the calendar appears light green. Then, after I add an appointment, it suddenly changes to pink? The calendar is continually changing colors from one moment to the next as I view it. It's not
a big deal, but I would just like to know the reason (if there is one) behind this behavior. Thanks

    Hi,
I have a few questions for you regarding your issue:
    1. Can you reproduce this issue with all of your users or just this one user?
    2. Does this happen with all colors (for example does blue change to light blue and so on)?
    3. When the color changes does the category change also?
I look forward to your response.

  • How can we see attendee tracking for meetings in a public calendar?

    Good Day,
We have a Public Calendar that is used to create company wide meetings. When my enduser creates a meeting on this public calendar, he cannot see who has accepted or declined the meeting. He has access to the Tracking button in the Ribbon. Tracking
does show all who were invited. Tracking only shows "None" in the Response field.
I did some testing and when I attempted to create a meeting with attendees, I was met with the following alert pop up.
"This meeting is not in the Calendar folder for this account. Responses to this meeting will not be tallied."
How do we create meetings on the public calendar and be able to review attendee responses? This is MS Outlook 2013, and the exchange is MS  365. Also, I created a Calendar within the users account and was met with the same response.
    Thank you,
    Damon L. Morton

    Hi,
You meet the message because responses are only automatically processed when the meeting is in the default calendar. As mentioned, you are using a public calendar.
To workaround this problem in your scenario, you will need to track the response manually.
Open the meeting request and switch to the tracking page. Right click in the response field and choose the desired response.

  • Users using Outlook 2013 not seeing entire public calendar.

I have two users that have same access as all other users. They can get into the public calendar but they can not see the entire calendar. They don not see anything from about the last month.
    Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2013
    Thanks in advance.

That sounds to me like they have a partially synchronized copy.  Look to see if they've tried to synchronize the folder, and if so, delete the cache and download the content again, or switch it to be used online.  Shared calendars should
generally be used online anyway to avoid ugly race conditions where users wipe each other's changes out.

  • ICal and access to Public Calendars on Exchange

    Dear all
I've been reading as much as I can on this subject, and all I've found so far is that it works, but you need Exchange 2007 and SP2. Well, I've finally been able to upgrade my exchange 2007 server to SP2, but now I can't find any documentation on how you actually access those public calendars.
By public calendars, I mean that calendars stored in the Public Folders tree on the exchange server, not calendars associated with a mailbox or resource mailbox.
    Things I've tried,
    - Subscribing to the calendar using the OWA web address of the calendar - failed
    - Setting up delegate access, but only mailbox calendars are shown - failed
    - Tried removing and recreating my Mail/iCal/Address book settings in Snow Leopard, no change - failed
I hope I'm just missing something, and that this is actually possible to do.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Same problem here. I previously used Entourage (2004) and had access to the public calendar (we'll call it "Jumper"), but I get an error when trying to connect to Jumper in iCal. When I try to connect I get "The server responded with an error: There was an unexpected error with the request (domain EWSExchangeWebServicesErrorDomain / error 94)." I notice when I go to the "Window" menu there are several listings of Jumper (I'm assuming each failed attempt created a window). Selecting those windows opens a blank calendar with Jumper listed in the left column and the exclamation point next to it. Clicking the exclamation point brings up the message "iCal can't refresh the account 'Jumper'." I'd hate to go back to Entourage as well, especially since the version our company provides is PPC based.
I'm not sure, but it could be in my case it's because the host of the public calendar may still be in the old email server (2003). They had to move my account over to the 2007 server in order for iCal to work with it. Don't know if this helps anyone else, but I'm going to request that the host be moved to the 2007 server and see what happens. I'll report back on my findings.
