Adding A Second MobileMe Mail Account?

My wife has a ME mail account. I can't seem to get into the ME website via Safari so she can check her email. Is there a way to create multiple accounts on an iPad so she can also use it to check her email?

Accessing a MobileMe account with the iPad's Mail application is the only way to access the account with the iPad, which is the same with an iPhone or iPod Touch.
I think it can also be done with a different browser, like iCab, but Mail is certainly much better.

  • Migrating MobileMe Mail account to iCloud?

    Strange....
I have two MobileMe mail accounts.  Only one of them moved to iCloud when I downloaded Lion 7.2 and the other stayed a "MobileMe" account.  I can't figure out how to convert the remaining MobileMe account to an iCloud account.
I've tried setting it up in the Mail program by manually adding it as a iCloud account, but it doesn't work.
    Any suggestions?
Note:  It IS a separte e-mail account--not an alias account.
    Thanks much!

Are you using an @mac.com Apple ID, e.g., [email protected]? Try [email protected]; my daughter had the same issue with a recently created account & I found the following somewhere:
Can I send and receive email from both @mac.com and @me.com?
If you had a working @mac.com email address as of July 9, 2008 you can continue to use that address as you always have, as well as your new address @me.com. And emails sent to either address will appear in your inbox on the web as well as your devices. For instructions on how to use both email addresses, including how to set up your Mac, PC, iPhone, or iPod touch, read Setting up MobileMe email on your Mac.

  • Can I add a second e-mail account on Firefox?

I would like to add a second e-mail account to Firefox.

I'm afraid Firefox doesn't function as a mail client. Do you mean Thunderbird or this website?

  • Second me mail account

can i get a second me mail account?

You could create a new account.  The way iCloud is designed, each family member, for example, can have their own account.  You could pretend to be your brother.
It would be a little awkward however, because, for example, on your iPhone, you would (I think) have to log out of one account and log in with the other.  I may be incorrect on this detail because I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing based on my experience with iCloud that you can only have one active account at a time.  If that is the case, it's probably not worth it.

    Hi Rhoaddog,
If you are having difficulty adding a 2nd email account through the Mail app, try it through the System Preferences, Internet Accounts.  Of course, please verify your password is correct.

  • I can't get my MobileMe mail account working with ...

I have spend hours with trying to get my MobileMe (www.me.com) mail account to work correctly based on IMAP protocol on my Nokia 5800. I have the correct settings, I have tried both with and without SSL, and I do have other mail accounts  working (synchronising properly with IMAP on the 5800). I do use and access the same email account on other devices and PCs and have no similar problem. Consequently I am confused. how to get the issue resolved and would appreciate your help if you have eventually experienced this symptom and did come across it.

  • Adding a new e-mail account

Can I add a new e-mail account just to send or forward out messages?  The reason of this is that I do not want these messages downloaded off the server.  I use another (non BB) e-mail client that accesses this account and I want the mail to go there.  When I tried to add this account with a dummy password, BB could not verify it and would not let me add it.  Is there a work around?

    Hi there!
If I am understanding you correctly, you want to be able to send from an email account on your BB, but not receive from that account on the BB. If so, then don't use a dummy password. Rather, configure the account properly but then set the default filter to "Do Not Forward" and then nothing will come down to the BB from the Server.

  • Adding an additional e-mail account

Has anyone figured out how to add another e-mail account? I want to be able to check msn and school account but I have no clue how to add those. Any advice?

Can you give us some more info - in the setup page (from the settings apps, for mail), I assumed you clicked on the "Add Account" choice, then "Other". At this point you enter your name, email address, password and description. When saved, you get a screen where you choose IMAP or POP and then enter the server info.
Does this not work for you? What problem are you running into and at what point?

  • MobileMe mail account duplicated

Since Lion's system preferences added "Mail, Contacts & Calendars", I've found my MobileMe account has been duplicated: one version with my address in all lowercase and one with it as I write my name, initial caps.
One - I've lost track which now, I'm afraid - was set to sync only Mail, the other to sync Mail and contacts and calendars. I noticed a problem when some incoming email was marked as being duplicated but I've also had some oddities with shared calendar events not appearing.
Do you think I can just backup everything, remove all my MobileMe details and accounts, then add one back?
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    William

For what it's worth, this is continuing so it wasn't the odd MobileMe blip some people appeared to have a few weeks ago.
Still no idea what to do. I'm putting up with the duplicate emails but people are getting errors as if I'm not receiving messages when I am. And finding emails I've sent on different machines means going to each of those machines in turn, which is of course both exasperating and not what MobileMe was meant to be for.

  • Adding mailbox's to mail accounts

    How do you add mailboxes,
I want so same some emails and cannot work out how to add these.
    Thanks

Not possible to add mailboxes with the iPad's Mail application.
With an IMAP account, you can create additional server stored mailboxes with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account, or via webmail access for the account using a browser. All server stored mailboxes with an IMAP account will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPad's Mail application and are kept synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account.
The same is not possible with a POP account.

  • Adding a Pop Exchange Mail Account

I can't get this to work at all. It takes FOREVER then finally fails by saying my outbound username or password was incorrect.
This worked just fine w/ my Blackberry before I got the iPhone 3G. I also can go over to Outlook and create a new POP account using the same settings and it works just fine.
Anyone have a solution for this?

For anyone that has had the same problem, I finally figured out a solution:
    1) To connect to an Exchange box using POP, since Exchange 2003 does not (by default) support the "LAST" command, you have to enable it by editing the registry (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;282400). It works after that.
    2) If connecting using IMAP, then besides having to open IMAP and LDAP on your firewall, when specifying the UserName in the UserName/Password Criteria fields, DO NOT specify the Domain name (like you normally would domain/username). It'll figure itself out.

  • Can't Add Another E-Mail Account on Itouch

When trying to add GMail keep getting error message "can't connect using SSL" anyone know what that means?? Help please

    Hi.
I successfully added a second IMAP mail account to my touch last night. I found it is easier if you disable the account that is already there, then add the second account and get it working first. I think the second account copies some of the settings from the first account, one of which is SSL.
SSL is the same encryption that your browser uses when you have a secure connection to a web site, like your personal banking. It is a good idea to use SSL for your connection to the Gmail server(s).

  • Can you apply for a second I-cloud e-mail account ?

I want to apply for a second e-mail account to use for Facebook? Can you hav another e-mail account?

You can create new alliases. Which means more e-mail addresses under same account.
    1.Log in to www.iCloud.com
2.Click on Mail icon to get into your emails
3.In top right corner click on "Sprocket" icon and select "Preferences"
    4.Click on "Accounts"
5.Click on blue text (down left corner) "Add an alias"
here you can create another "alias" email.
When you are gonna use it make sure you select it (as a primary email) before you send e-mail in your Mail app or on your iOS devices.

  • Trouble accessing 2nd e-mail address within same e-mail account.

I successfully added my g-mail account, with my main e-mail address, to my I-phone 5. However, I don't use my main e-mail address anymore and had created a 2nd e-mail address within g-mail where I read my mail. I don't see any way on the I-phone to access this 2nd e-mail address. I tried adding a separate g-mail account in settings with the 2nd e-mail address, but I-phone blocks access this way. Does anyone know how I can select/connect to the e-mail address where I actually read my mail?

I still have a lot of e-mails at the first e-mail address that I have not yet read. When I set up e-mail on my I-Phone it asked for the main e-mail address so that is the one I put in. I wonder if I edit that to the 2nd e-mail address instead if that will work - I will try it.

  • Is there a way to default send from one mail account across multiple mail accounts?

I have a user who has her own Exchange mailbox account. I have added two separate Exchange mail accounts. I want to be able to force her (even if she is in one of the other two mail accounts) to send from her own Exchange account. I know you can manually change it every time, but is there a way to force it automatically? Thanks.

Nope. There is no universal mailbox on the iPhone.
