In the past iWeb users asked [how to add a table|http://discussions.apple.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=table&objID=c188&dat eRange=lastyear&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001] to an iWeb page.
Just to keep me busy I wrote a tutorial.

Lion has nothing to do with counters. For iWeb counters to work you must publish the website to MobileMe.
If you publish your site to a 3rd party ftp server you will need to use a 3rd party counter like StatCounter. This tutorial describes how to apply the counter via HTML snippts: 13 - Adding a Graphical StatCounter as an HTML Snippet to an iWeb Page.

the link field artspurch is not the field I declared . It happens to be the first column of the table ArticleSite. This seems to be a bug. has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

What was the SQL before you added the table?
I reformatted your code but you may want to confirms it correct or simply copy it into Notepad and then paste into this post.
I find the easiest way to confirm is ad the table and joins in CR Designer first and then look at what Debug mode returns using this:

There are some join types RAS is not capable of.
Attach the report before and after you manually add the join and I'll see if I can get it to work also.

iWeb doesn't have tables, you need other applications that can export to HTML to generate HTML code.
Good old Appleworks 6.2.7 , OpenOffice and MS Excel are a few, once you have HTML code, just add it to HTML Snippet, see this:

Does anyone know of a way to create editable tables in iweb 08? iweb 06 has that functionality. After creating a table in excel, pages, or any other program I could copy it into iweb and then edit the content. Right clicking on the table would bring up a menu of table editing features (add row, delete column, etc.)
With iweb 08 it always copies the table (even from pages or numbers) as an image. All of the hyperlinks are lost and the editing functionality doesn't work anymore. Is there an easy work around that anybody knows?This is a seemingly crazy way, but through trial and error, I found a way to make an editable table! I exported my Pages doc to Word, then opened the Word doc in a browser window to be able to view the source in html. (Perhaps you can do this in Pages, but I haven't found a way.) Then I copied the html source code and pasted it onto my iWeb page using the HTML Snippet option. It is somewhat laborious to do it this way, and some of the better visual aspects - like gradient fills - are lost, but I was able to retain the editability of the table (using html - not plain text, however). It should be much easier than this!
If anyone finds an easier way to have an editable table in iWeb, please let me know. PDFs and jpegs are OK if you aren't going to change the info within the table very often. -

This has probably added a data element - I would check in the dataelementconfiguration folder in your build's .delta folder. IF so then you have the first step completed. Now you need to add the necessary configurations to use the data that comes through this data element.
Go to your orgchart/hierarchy and navigate to Views. Here select your view (or your first view if this needs to be done for more than one view - if so you'll need to repeate these steps but not the step you already did in the Data Centre), and then click the + icon next to Design Details. Here you can add a new linked detail to your view detail. Simply give it a name, select the detail to link it to (usually the top level detail which is in blue), select a link field and then select your data element that was created in the Data Centre.
Now if you try to add a section to your view inside the Design Details view designer you will see your new detail added. You can then select it and add fields from this detail.

Once you have been able to add the data in the views designer you will probably need to do some XML and XSL editing because you cannot edit XSL files in the AdminConsole and you will need to do this to get your icon/flag to show.
First of all you need to create a new XSL file and put it into a folder in your .delta\root folder. For example, My_XSL_files. Here you need to write the code to render your flag based on your variable. You can find plenty of examples in all of the pre-existing XSL files. Then you need to copy PresentationResources.xml to .delta\root\XML and add the reference to your new XSL file.
Go to your build's .delta folder and go to detailconfiguration. Find the detail you just created and open it. You'll find a section in their that you just added with a reference to an XSL file (e.g. if you added a Simple Caption section it will probably be something like SimpleCaptionXSL). Change this to the reference in the PresentationResources.xml.
Load your build in the AdminConsole and hit Publish. Once done you should see your icon. Sometimes if your XSL is invalid or the code doesn't work you won't see anything. This is not unusual as the whole process can be quite tricky - even for us with lots of experience!

Added 3 tables in Entity framework
I added 3 tables to my EF: 2 tables for data and the third for connection between them (= 3 columns in this table, first ID as
the primary key, and the second and the third are FK to the other two tables).
But the problem is that the third table was added with just the first column (= ID).

Edit-able tables in iWeb?
I am a teacher, and have a website for my students where I list what we do every day in class and have links to all notes and assignments. Usually, I just create a table that looks like a calendar. I've been using Google Sites, and it's been fine except I seem to reach my file limit in January. I'd love to use iWeb, but I can't figure out how to make an edit-able table for the website.
I realize that you can make tables using HTML, but those don't seem to be that easy to edit (i.e. I would need to edit it at least once every day to update what we did in class). I know you can use Google Calendar, but the layout of the calendar entries just doesn't work as well as when I make my own table-esque calendar, and then I to link any files I have to upload them to Google Documents first.
I realize I'm being picky, but I'd just love a way to make and edit a table in iWeb like there is in Google Sites. Has anyone been able to find a way to do this? If so, my next question will be: how do I actually get my kids to remember to check the freakin' calendar? But I regress.

The way I do it is to drop an empty text box over the file name in the table and make this a hyperlink to the file.
Some people report that this doesn't work and use a shape with almost zero opacity. I think they have this problem when using internal rather than external links. If you are linking to files in a download folder on your server you will be using external links and the text box is a lot quicker to do.

StackOverflowError after adding a table to a TopLink Map
Hello,
I am really puzzled by the next problem. After adding a table (Customer) to an existing TopLink Map, I get the same kind of error for every query in the project that I use.
ERROR J2EE EJB8006 [CustomerToplinkTestPublicFacade:public java.util.List com.companyname.toplinktest.model.CustomerToplinkTestPublicFacadeBean.findCustomersByCompany(java.lang.String,java.lang.String)] exception occurred during method invocation: javax.ejb.EJBException: java.lang.StackOverflowError
I get this with every page and every query, just change the name findCustomersByCompany to the name of the named query. Otherwise all pages seems to have the correct behaviour Removing the Customer-table from the application solved all problems, and they reoccurred after adding the table again.
I have no clue why this happens, the only thing that might be useful is the fact that the Customer-table is also a part of a database view which I already use.

another update on my testcases. I have used the following procedure to narrow down the source of the problem.
First I create one or more TopLink pojo's based on my database tables and views, add them to a session bean and create the data controls. I'm always working with the default named queries (selectAll).
Then I create a .jspx file, drag and drop a data control from the data control palette to create an ADF table with the defaults...
and run... with one of two outcomes.
I either get all the data from the table (correct) or I get a message "no rows yet" and an error message in the log window "2006-05-04 12:37:40.214 ERROR J2EE EJB8006 [testCustomerSession:public java.util.List model.testCustomerSessionBean.findAllCompany()] exception occurred during method invocation: javax.ejb.EJBException: java.lang.StackOverflowError"
This is an overview of the testing I have done:

ViewOfCustomer is a database view with the same data as the Customer. So the table Customer seems to cause the problem.
Does anybody have an idea why a database table might cause such distinct problems ?

I am having difficulty in inserting a table into iWEB pages, I create a table in Word and save it as HTM and try to copy it into iWEB..the table disappears and the text is left unformatted on the web page. I have also tried creating a table in Word and then copy and paste it into iWEB. Same problem.
Any suggestions please?

Thanks!There is no way to get an easily updated table into iWeb. Most require a lot of work. I have a demo page with several methods but took a fair amount of time to make: Tables.
If the viewer doesn't have to be able to copy any of the text you could make an image of your table and use that. To made it easy to update embed the image with iFrame code and an HTML snippet linking to the image on your server. To make a change you must update the image and place it on the server. The web page will automatically update the embedded image. The iFrame code to use is described in the Scrolling Text Box link below.
You could make a pdf of the table and embed the pdf file in a page like the image method above. Just change the pdf file on the server and the web site is updated. See this demo page: Scrolling Text Box. If the table is in Excel just do a Print to PDF and upload the pdf to the server replacing the previous version.
Not the test of solutions but would work and easily updated.

I want to make a table of results right on my iweb page. Can I do this. In the past, I had to make one in word and take a screen shot of it and then add it to the website.
What's the difference between pasting the html code directly in a html snippet, which is an iframe, btw, and displaying an external html file in same html snippet with an iframe?

Adding nested table to object table
if I alter an object type and add a nested table to it, there seem to be no syntax to add "STORE AS" clause for that nested table in the object table containing the altered object type. E.G.:
