Adding a Z field in Standard Database view

Hi ALL
My requirement is to add a z field in a Standard Database View .
Please advice how do i go ahead .

In the View,Menubar->goto-> append view.
It will ask for the structure for append.You now have to define a name for this append view. The system proposes a list of the append views that already exist for this view. If there is no reason for not doing so, you should choose an append view from this list and then enhance it.
If the view does not yet have an append view, the system normally proposes a standard name that can be selected if there is no reason for not doing so. If no name is proposed, you must select a name in your namespace.

What do you mean by "changes don't appear"? Don't appear where? Are you using row-wise initialization of the Group variable? If so, have you turned off caching for it?

Additional Field in standard maintenance view

Hi Experts,
I would like to add an additional field plant in maintenance view V_TKZU3_CO (SPRO PATH: Controlling --> Product cost controlling -->Product cost planning --> Basic settings for material costing -->Overhead -->Define costing sheets ).
What I'm planning to do is to modify the standard maintenance view V_TKZU3_CO and regenerate the table maintenance generator so that the new field will be added and populate a ztable a copy of table TKZU3 + plant...
However what I'm afraid of is when I regenerated the table maintenance generator using the standard function group OCOE, it might impact some other standard object included..
Do you have any idea on how can I add the additional field without modifying the standard? Or if I will apply the standard modification I'm planning.. what are the possible impacts?

U can create a new table view like V_TKZU3_CO, insert your new fields and create the maintenance view program for it.

Can any one explain the below spec-description.
"The purpose of this design is to provide the foundation for a more automated solution to the invoice reconciliation process. This design calls for adding a custom field to the standard SAP table EINE as well as a data maintenance tool for the same. There will also be a new custom table for storing values associated with the new EINE field. These new tables will also provide users with the ability to determine which PIR are soon to expire."
We have to add one custom field to standard table EINE, how we can add this custom field to STND table.
According to me we can add it through append structure. is it correct or not.
and what is data maintenance tool.
Pls.............Explain in details.

Hi,
Goto SE11 ,give ur table name.Then press display button.Then in the application tool bar press on append structure ...Now create a zstructure and add ur custom field and then activate the table.

Upon clicking on SAVE button , it shud save in database
what is the name of database table and how to solve this problem

Adding a custom field in standard search criteria in SAP SRM SLM

Hi Friends,
Currently we are using SAP SRM with SLM system .
In SLM system we have a functionality to replicate the supplier to other system ( like ECC SUS etc).
As per the requirement we have done some enhancement and now we need to enhance the standard search functionality by
adding our custom filed to one of the search parameter field
Kindly refer the screen shot
Click on Supplier Lifecycle Management -> Distribute Supplier

How to set key fields in a Database view

    All the fields are regarded as key fields in order to guarantee that th
    key lengths are unique.
Procedure
    For views with a large number of fields, this could have a negative
    effect on the performance for the language construction described below
    In this case, all the mandatory key fields should be included in the
    view.

I am not sure how it is exactly done. But one thing which comes to my mind is that you can utilize any fields in the MIGO transaction like Text fields to suit your requirement.

Views are basically, collection of fields from diffrent databse tables.You can define extra selections for fields in a selection view at runtime using dynamic selections. The extra selections are sent to the database and help to minimize the number of database accesses. This works as long as the database tables in the selection include of the logical database are defined for dynamic selections, and that the database program is programmed accordingly.
You can go to SE11, type the name of the view and add the additional field present in any of the tables and activate the view. Once activated the view will reflect the new field added and you can use this for selection purposes.

I have a requirement of adding a new field to Standard ALV report. The TCODE is CN50N. When you execute it and gives the project as input it will display an ALV report. i want to add another filed to that ALV report. The program it 's using is RPSISKB000. How to do it???

Check in the ALV output whether these fields are already there and not displaying in the ALV output, if the fields are not at all printing in the ALV output,then copy the Program to Z program and change it.
write the Code to add the new fields to the internal table and change the Field catalaog to come your fields in the ALV output then print it

How to change the Access for Database views

Hello Experts,
My requirement is to copy the records of a standard database view BDCPV (which is a combination of BDCP & BDCPS) to a custom view and then compare the records with a new table BDCP2.
I copied the BDCPV view to a table and used the custom view in the program. While executing the program, I'm getting an error message like "The database view <View Name> is write protected, so it cannot be changed".
I'm unable to change the Access under Maintenance Status Tab from Read only to "Read and Change". Could anyone help me how to resolve this issue".
Also please share teh sample code if you have any for the above requirement. We are using it in a SP upgrade to one of the systems.

Change the status in the given way.
Choose Extras ® Maintenance status. A dialog box appears, in which you can select the maintenance status for the view. If more than one table is involved in the view, the maintenance status read only cannot be altered.

SSCR for database view

Dear Guru's,
M_MCH1M = Generated view for matchcode ID MCH1        -M
Actually I want to add some fields in this database view .
So I applied in key values for SSCR.
PgmID Type Object name:
Basis release *       : 700 R3TR
PgmID *       : R3TR
Type *       : VIEW
Object name * : M_MCH1M
But I am not getting the Access key for this object.
Please advice me is there any missing from my end?

Adding Custom Fields in Standard View - How to save data to Table

Dear Experts,
One View is having UI elements from a standard table /RPM/ITEM_D. Added 2 custom fields in this table using enhacement. Now enhanced that standard View and added these 2 custom fields. When I am saving the application, these 2 fields values aslo should be saved. In the context all fields are present from table /RPM/ITEM_D except the custom one. Can you please help me out how to acheive this.

Hi Sumesh,
What you need to do is :
1) add these two new fields in the same context node where the field from table /RPM/ITEM_D are added.
2) in your UI , bind values to these new attributes.
If current application is using and BAPI / Class method to update the table ,
this new fields will also be passed to that bapi and will update table.

Adding Search help to a field of standard transction

hi experts,
i m new to abap.
my pp consultant wants that in transaction MM03, for the field on selection screen (Material) one more search help should be added. and on pressing f4 it should be displayed there with other search options.
The search field is "(Document)-Number of the drawing that exists for this object".
Note: To see this field run transaction MM03, enter a material and press enter then we get a screen to choose a view. choose basic data2. In the block "design drawing" there is a field for "Document".
is it possible? if yes how much time it would take and to do it.

Go through the following Procedure to add a Search help to a field of standard Transaction
The Matchcode is replaced by search help from the version 4.6C.
I will tell u how create the search help.
Name of a search help
A search help is an object of the ABAP Dictionary with which input helps
(F4 helps) can be defined.
There are the following types of search helps:
o Elementary search helps implement a search path for determining the
possible entries.
o Collective search helps contain several elementary search helps. A
collective search help therefore provides several alternative search
paths for possible entries.
o Append search helps can be used to enhance collective search helps
delivered by SAP with customer-specific search paths without
requiring a modification.
The three components of the input help process described by a search
help are the outer interface, the online behavior and the method of data
Go to Tcode SE11. Select the search help radio button.
Give name as ztest and click create
