Adding an additional module

I'm looking to add an additional module into a 9216i, can anyone confirm if this can be done live, or is the mds required to be powered down.

One thing to look for is that you have the right SAN-OS version on the switch for the card you are going to insert. Eg, if you are going to put in the 4 Gb ports, you need to have 3.0.1 or higher. A vendor who shall remain nameless here sold us a switch and a 48 port card and that card failed dismally when the switch was powered on. I found the SAN-OS verion pre-installed on the switch was 2.something. The vendor has no idea on why the module was not working....

Are you adding condition records, or adding free materials to VBAP? If free materials to VBAP, you're in the wrong exit, I think....look for routines that allow you to add to internal table XVBAP in includes named like MV45AFZ*, and remember to set you UPDKZ to 'I'-insert if you're adding new rows.
Not sure what you mean by not supported by SAP standard; SAP does support free goods, via config!

I get the following error from my VM (Oracle VM VirtualBox) under Windows when doing a pacman -Syu:

Build the main Guest Additions module Failed

Hi all,
I am not very sure if I am in the correct forum here. My problem is I cannot install the VirtualBox Guest Additions 4.2.12_84980 on my Oracle Linux 5 update 6_x86_64 bits system. I followed the instructions in a tutorial :
cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-el5.repo
yum update
yum install gcc
yum install kernel-uek-devel-2.6.32-300.32.1.el5uek
These steps above all succeeded; but, when I run the installation as below:
cd /media/VBOXADDITIONS_4.2.12_84980/
sh ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
I got the error message:
Build the main Guest Additions module Failed
(Look at /var/log/vboxadd-install.log to find out what went wrong).
I have little experience in installing VirtualBox Additions on Oracle Linux. Can anybody pls give me some suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance.

If it's a trial Netweaver, maybe it's not possible.
Generally you use SPAM or SAINT tcodes to add more packages.
Maybe SAP NetWeaver Administrator will be able to help you.

Trying to extend the WLAN range by adding an additional Airport Extreme second gen with Ethernet as backchannel.

I'm trying to extend the coverage of my home WLAN by adding an additional airport express. I want to use Ethernet as the back channel but whatever I do this ends up in a situation where the WLAN dies completely. I have been able to extend the range by using WLAN to WLAN extension but this reduced the bandwidth a lot.
I have an VDSL modem and uses a airport express as access router. with this unit operating by iteself everything works fine.
It is when I add a second airport express (both second gen) that I get in trouble.
Any idea of what goes wrong?

It is best to set up the extra AE to create a wireless network. You should use the same name (SSID) as you did when setting up the first one. Also use the same password and encryption.
Put the network channel selection on automatic or select different channels for both networks.

Adding a function module into a SQ01 Query

Hi ABAP Gurus,
I was trying to extract few dates from TSEGE Table, by linking the VTTK - HANDLE. We are trying to look at maintaining dates of shipment that were not previously used in our company.
When I tried extracting the dates from TSEGE, they come as timestamped UTC. I was told to use the function module IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP with CET in a query by an external consultant we use for our services. I am familiar with creating simple queries in SQVI and convert them to SQ01, also I know to create queries in SQ01 itself. But do not know how to add a function module into an SQ01 Query.
After checking a few threads, I realise that I should be creating a field and entering the code of the function module.
Is there any way, anybody could instruct me in simple terms how do I go about adding a function module.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Is this something I would have to put in the code, or something that would work in the query "Selection Fields"?

I remember that program's package (virtualbox-additions) is under PUEL license, but I can't use the package in one enterprise environment; by that reason I thought that the virtualbox-ose-additions package could be useful for my main target: change between the guest system and the host system without to use the CTRL key for to release the mouse pointer.

We are in the Realization phase of implementing SAP CRM, and also undercone a ECC 6.0 migration 3 months back. We are faced with the foll problem....
Whenever a reservation is to be created from the CRM system a functional module u2018'CRM_SRV_LOG_PROCESS_RSRV' is called in the ERP system. Within this functional module, another functional module u2018MB_RESERVATION_CREATE_INTERNALu2019 is called. It is this functional module which actually creates a reservation and performs ATP check.
In the ECC system a new import parameter ATPCHECK has been added in u2018MB_RESERVATION_CREATE_INTERNALu2019 functional module and this is not filled whereas in R/3 this parameter does not exist at all.
This parameter needs to hold a value X for ATP to happen in THE ECC system.
It is proposed to fix this problem by adding the parameter ATPCHECK with value X in the functional module 'CRM_SRV_LOG_PROCESS_RSRV' when 'MB_RESERVATION_CREATE_INTERNALu2019 is called.
We have not modified any function modules so far, hence would like to know...
1. Whether the proposed solution is correct?
2. What would be the imact (things to watch out for) while carrying out changes in the function module?

Adding extra output modules in AE script

Hi,
Is it possible to add extra output modules to a render queue item using an AE script? I can't seem to find the functionality in the guide, and OMCollection is read-only so I can't add using standard array functions.
I need additional output modules on each render queue item to render plates for my CG department - for example the default output module will be assigned a full-resolution TIFF sequence for the camera tracker, and the second output module will be assigned a half-resolution JPEG sequence for the animation team.
If this functionality isn't included, would someone please explain why?
I'm developing at home in CS3 at the moment, but the target version is CS5 at work - I've not rechecked the release notes yet but don't recall this being added after CS3.

The add() function is listed on page 186 of the guide in the summary, but is not listed as being one of OMCollection's functions on page 104 (in fact it says that there are no functions for OMCollection above what it inherits from Collection.

Need help with ...adding frequency scaling modules

Hi! I'm new to Arch and in the middle of installing. So far, so good. I just completed installing cpufrequtils and editing the rc.conf file to show the min_freq and max_freq to match my systems cpu spec.
What I don't understand is the following per the Beginners Guide...
"Add the frequency scaling modules to your /etc/rc.conf modules line (e.g. speedstep_centrino for Pentium M processors or powernow-k8 for the Athlon 64). Load the module with
modprobe <modulname>
Where do I need to do with this, it's confusing. If I skip that section and run "/etc/rc.d/cpufreq start" I get the following...

wrong, unknown, or unhandled CPU?
...which points back to the scaling modules, but I'm not sure how to exactly add them to the rc.conf modules section correctly. anyone have any ideas?

modprobe <modulename> will load a module into the kernel. To have a module loaded automagically on boot, you can add <modulename> to the modules line in /etc/rc.conf.
If you have the entries in your /etc/rc.conf, there is no need to use the modprobe command as the modules will already be loaded.
To get frequency scaling working using cpufrequtils, you'll need to load the proper frequency scaling module (e.g., for Intel Core Duo: acpi_cpufreq). The exact module depends on your processor though. What's your CPU?
In addition to loading the CPU frequency scaling module, you _may_ need to also load your desired governor by adding it to the modules line of /etc/rc.conf (cpufreq_ondemand, cpufreq_conservative, cpufreq_performance, cpufreq_userspace, cpufreq_powersave) and editing /etc/conf.d/cpufreq to use your desired governor.
You can also have the cpufreq daemon start automagically on boot by adding 'cpufreq' to the daemons line in /etc/rc.conf.

Adding an addition feilds n the field status group

Hi all
I want to know, how to add a new field in the in the field status.
e.g.
in the standard feild status group G001 we have fields namely general data, material managenment,addition account assignment,ect
In additional account assignment i want to add some new feilds like Charges,dimension,etc. apart from the standard fields like Fund Center,Commitment item,Cost center
But when i checked,their is no provission for adding the new fields.
Can any one help out in this regard.......

You have to extend the coding block of the BSEG table with the required fields.
You can then use there fields in the field status
