Adding an attachment in gmail

am i missing something here? i cant find a link anywhere in the gmail mobile version (the one youre taken to when you go to gmail.com on your playbook) that lets me add an attachment to an email. i cant even force the basic html version of gmail and do it through that. tell me that my playbook is not absolutely useless as a work device. thanks
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Here's the way to do it: when seeing your list of e-mail messages, on the left column, on the gmail website, scroll that list all the way down . At the bottom, you'll see several links. One of them says "basic html". Click on it.
Now the old gmail looks appear, and if you click on Compose Mail you'll get an attachment link.
Alternatively, click on "desktop", instead of basic html, and you'll see your gmail just like on your computer.

        Hi there T&P63385!
Look no further! I have the answer for you! You can add a new email account to your android device by following these steps: http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=31401
Now I do want to let you know that your phone has a "main" gmail account. If this "main" gmail account was the one you deleted it may be best that you reset your phone and activate it to your new gmail address.
The reason I recommend doing this is all of your purchased application information is also tied to your gmail.
Ensure your personal information is backed up (contacts, pictures, etc) and follow these steps to Hard Reset your phone:http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=31308
Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • How to download PDF attachment from gmail on iphone 5S

    Hi,
How to download PDF attachment from gmail on iphone 5S

    Hello Ram2910
You should be able to view them natively within iOS. If you can view them in safari and want to save them, then download iBooks or search for other apps that can view and save them.

  • Why are my pages documents unable to be attached in gmail

Since downloading Mavericks my Pages documents are unable to be attached in Gmail. Furthermore, in Final Cut Pro X videos that I attempt to post to
You Tube fail because, according to error window, network connection was lost. None of this happened before I upgraded to Mavericks.

Here are a couple of discussions indicating that Gmail is working on the Pages attachment issue. In the meantime, one workaround is to use Pages File Menu > Export To command and export to either a Word format or a Pages 09 format.

  • Manually adding an attachment to FND tables

I know that there have been a few posts that outline how to handle adding an attachment to FND tables but I have an additional question.
I have an trigger on each of the following four tables that captures all data when uploading an attachment when creating/viewing a service request (short & long text as well):
    FND_LOBS
    FND_DOCUMENTS
    FND_DOCUMENTS_TL
    FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS
I need to move the captured data into a different database and I'm wondering if it's possible to not use any Oracle APIs when inserting and updating data to the other database.
    Thanks

Its possible with the exception that it will be unsupported (your triggers are unsupported anyway).

  • How to play MPG's when attached to Gmail message

I have only had my Thunderbolt for a few weeks. I use Gmail as my primary email program. I recently received an email message with two videos attached. One was a WMV and the other was an MPG. When I clicked on PreView, in Gmail, to play the MPG video, I saw a blue bar and the text reading Loading and then I received an error message "Sorry, this type of document is not supported for viewing". I was advised to install ArcMedia. I can download and play an MPG movie with ArcMedia, on the Thunderbolt. There is no option to Download an Attachment, in Gmail, on the Thunderbolt. There is just PreView.
I do not know how to make ArcViewer the default Media Player. When I installed VitalPlayer Neon, and clicked on PreView to play the attached MPG file, it just kept flashing between Portrait and Landscape and did not play anything.

By regular mail, do you mean setting up the Mail icon to pull down Gmail? Does that download my InBox to the Thunderbolt or does it leave it up on the Gmail server like the Gmail app does?
I do not understand why a media player, like ArcMedia, cannot be set as the default so that I can click on Preview and it will launch ArcMedia and play the MPG.
I downloaded and installed Download All Files. Now, when I click on Preview, it allows me to download the MPG, but then I have to open ArcMedia, find the file, and play it. If I just go to the Download folder and double click on the MPG, it will not play.
I do not know how often I will be receiving MPG attachments, but it is very time consuming if I have to Download, OpenArcMedia, and search for the file, each time I want to play it.

  • Replying to an email while adding an attachment? ***?

Maybe I am being obtuse, but when I try to reply to an email and want to include an attachement with my reply, why is there no option to do this? This seems like a farily BASIC funtion of any email program. I hope I am missing something, because if the iPhone can't do something as basic as this... Man, its got serious problems.
I'm already annoyed that it doesn't allow you to save attachments onto the phone itself in a file tree, but to not be able to reply to someone's e-mail with a saved attachment (whether it be a pic, doc, pdf, etc...)
(Example: "Hey what was the name of that restaurant we were at tonight? Also, can you send me that pic we took at the table?")
As of now, I have to find that picture, tell it I want to compose a NEW email, then answer the question in the body of the email. Why couldn't you just "reply" attach the photo in question, and answer the email like you would any other email (that didn't require an attachment?)
This seems extremely short-sighted on Apple's part.. I mean, come on -- even a Blackberry has these basic functions.
Am I wrong, or are they missing something really basic here?

Thanks for the workaround... Not ecxactly the most efficient way to do something as basic as reply and adding an attachment, but it does work.
For the life of me, I don't understand why you can't save items to a personal folder on the hard drive, which you can then access whenever you need to. I think Apple makes thing WAY more complicated then they need to be.

  • JavaMail send 9M pdf attach through Gmail

    Hello Everyone,
I have this issue while trying to send email with attach (an pdf of 9M) . In the beginning I can see in the console that packets are sent really fast. Everything seem OK, but in time the speed decrease, Thus in about 10 minutes or more it barely sends anything. No errors whatsoever.
If I am sending smaller attachments (under 900K) they work fine, i receive them, open them...all is great.
I performed this test, sending the same content with the same attach directly from gmail web mail and it was uploaded in about 10 minutes- which i find it acceptable. Why does JavaMail take so long?
My application is a standalone app , a swing app. I tried sending the mail both from GUI's main thread and from a distinct thread. No big difference.
Anyone any idea? Someone hit this issue before?
    Here is some code:

  • When adding an attachment, the files I see in the finder-screen are not up to date

I want to attach a file to a new message. When I attach it via the button in het message-screen a finder screen will open. The files in here are not up to date. For example, a just added file is not visible. When I brouwse to the same folder by using the Finder itself at this time I will see the up-to-date files and can add them to the message by using drag and drop. So, I have found a solution but I still think this is a bug.
See both screenshots, one is the folder "3 metingen" in the Thunderbird finder screen. the second is the same shown in Finder. More and accuate files are visible in Finder.
    Thanks for your time.
    Rogier.

Both are OSX windows. Thunderbird just asks the operating system to open a windows of that type, so why the operating system would offer up such weirdness I have no idea. Under windows F5 forces and update, I wonder if it does on OSX?

  • Adding an attachement to "mailto" command

I have recently undertaken a project for a client by
designing a digital business card. The client wants to add a "mail
this page to a friend" on each of the catalogue pages. This would
entitle users to send spesific images on pages to friends. Problem
"mailto:" tutorials do not cover adding attachements to the email
or generating that specific page into a file that can either be
attached or placed inside the "body" of the email. I cannot attach
a link since the business card would not be viewed online with a
"URL". Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Yours faithfully
    Damsel in distress....

You could make an Excel like table in Flash and place it into a movieclip which you then place in a scrollpane component to realize the scrollling you desire, though you might not enjoy the amount of work you will need to get the table together.  It would involve manually planting rows of textfields for each set of records in the table.  It could be done using Actionscript if you have your table's data  in a form you can read it from as data.
As far as using something else, I don't know what the purpose/goal is so I cannot say.  If you can live with an html rendered version, then I would say a plain ole web page should suffice... let the browser provide the scrolling.

  • Unable to view attachment in Gmail

    Hi.
I have a problem using Safari on my iMac 20" Intel.
Since two weeks i'm unable to view and download attachment in my Gmail account using Safari.
Every time i have an attachment i must use Firefox.
It work fine on my iBook 12" G4.
    Anyone could help me?
Thanks in advance and sotty for my english!!
    Bye.

I've had the same problem. Gmail "upgraded" their system a couple of weeks ago and since then I am unable to view or download attachments from Gmail with Safari. I'm also unable to access any of the options for an email (such as forward, reply all, etc.) except for reply because the new drop-down list to access those features doesn't work. Thanks Gmail. My work-around is to use Firefox or Camino.

  • Mail shuts down when adding an attachment

Afteer upgrading to Maveric I do have the following issue. When I open Mail and write an E-Mail and then add an attachment (no matter what file type). Mail shuts immediately down. When opening Mail again, luckily the written E-Mail is still there, but still no attachment is attached. Currently I do send plenty of dropbox links instead as this can be added without any problems. Is there a way to fix this issue?
At least I know see the file preview in Mail again. Which wasn't possible for years with lion :-)

That happens to me all the tiem. I don't try anymore because I guess Mail just doesn't take large files like that. You should try sending it from your email provider on it's website, as you would without Mail or Outlook Express.
