Adding another iTunes account to my laptop.

My daughter has put iTunes on my laptop for her own use, however, I wish to add my own iTunes library to this as I have stopped using my desktop.
1). How can I do it?
2). How can we switch between the two when one of us wants to use their own?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for the help - all sorted.
I set up my own account for itunes purchases on Apple TV. I also deleted my own home sharing ID and entered the one my dearly beloved used to originally set up the Apple TV, in my iTunes library Home Sharing section.
Works perfectly.......now to get her out the house so I can sit back and chill with Mr. Manilow! LOL!

Hi, I have just bought my daughter a second-hand Vodafone 3GS phone on ebay, she lost hers but was not insured. Create another user in Windows > Start Menu > Control Panel > User Accounts.
This way you log out and into another to use it, complete with it's own iTunes Library, content and playlists.
You can transfer content to the other user using a USB key.

Are you meaning 2 different accounts or 2 different libraries?
Launch iTunes with the 'Option' key held down and follow the dialog as to which library you want to open.

Keep in mind that with the iPhone, you can sync all iTunes content with only one computer. Trying to sync iTunes content with a second computer will result in iTunes erasing the content from the first computer. However, non-itunes content such as contacts, calendars, mail settings, notes, etc. (anything in the Info pane) can be synced from another computer.
If you have songs on a different computer, copy them to the computer you use to sync:

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The iphone is not a backup/storage device.

You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

Apple does not provide a way to do that, presumably because it would be such an invitation to fraudulent transfers.
But if you have some unique extenuating circumstances, I suppose you could place a request to iTunes Customer Service and see if they will make an exception.

As long as you computer is authorized for that iTunes account, the songs will work with iTunes Match. The user does not need to be logged in on that computer.

Put all the music on one computer, make sure it is authorized for all accounts, sync.

You move the song files to /Users/Shared/ and then into iTunes from the other Mac OS X user account.
If you want to change the iTunes Store account associated with them, you need to redownload them from that account.

What is the precise wording of the error message that occurs on the old iPhone when attempting to do a backup?
