Adding Background music to welcome page on Iweb.. any ideas? instructions?

looking to add background music to my welcome page on iweb. any easy instructions? thanks daniel malibu

Take a look at my page "source" code for some clues.
Editing published pages is as easy as opening the "raw" html code in TextEdit (preferences set to "plain" text) and applying your edits (copy/paste simple).
But once you edit these pages any changes made by the iWeb application and a new "publish" would remove your hand edited code.
To change what appears in your "Title" would only require you edit that line of code. To add metatags is the same.
The "snippet" part of iWeb 2 is always in the "body" part of the page code. Title and custom icons are part of the "head" tag code. Javascript code could be in even more parts depending on its function.
None of this is for the faint of heart or for those that don't understand the basics of html page code.
Open your published iWeb 2 page with a text editor and edit the "title" tag code to change the displayed "name". To add a custom icon requires you upload a 16X16 image file (the size of the icon in the browser address bar), upload that file to your server and then use that URL in the edited html code for your page. These are part of the "head" tag code.
Hope this helps.

  • I added background music to the video clip, but I only hear noise, no video clip audio or the background music audio

I added background music to the video clip in iMovie, the playback runs ok on the right corner preview screen, if I share it to movie clip or itunes or theather, I only hear noise, no video clip audio or the music audio
If I don't put additional audio to the clip. audio effect or music background, the video plays normally
I detached the audio from the video clip and deleted it, that way it was possible to listen to the music background and see the actual video clip, but no audio from the video clip.
    How can I have both?

    Hi
    My first thought is -
Where are the original Audio file ?
If it was on an Audio-CD then the CD is Ejected and one tries to play the movie - it can not find it = Silence.
You are using an Non-Destructive Video editor - meaning that You have raw material - Video, Audio and photos but no Movie in Project - only a text document directing How You want it to be played. So if Audio is not where it was when this document were created - iMovie can not find it and e.g. audio goes silent.

  • Just upgraded  iWeb app to version 3.0.4 from an iLife 11 disk. I like some of the newer features but it seems to have one glitch: when I upload the pages to my ftp server, the automatic navigation bar at the top of the page disappears. Any ideas?

Just upgraded my old iWeb app to version 3.0.4 from an iLife 11 disk. I like some of the newer features but it seems to have one glitch: when I upload the pages to my ftp server, the automatic navigation bar at the top of the page disappears. Any ideas? Thanks.

Looks like a couple scripts are missing:
If you republish the entire site iWeb should recreate these for you...
I don't use the built-in navigation. I usually just create my own:

Hi, I'm working on a document in PAges 09. Any idea on how to change the document color? I want it black instead of white.

    Nichelle,
You must add your own background object, and then make it Black.
    Insert > Shape > Rectangle
In the Wrap Inspector, set to Floating.
In the Graphic Inspector, set Stroke to None and set Fill to Black.
Grab the corners of the document and stretch the document to cover the entire page.
Back in the Wrap Inspector select "In Background".
Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.

  • Since upgrading to OSx 10.9, I cannot place my music for iPhoto slideshows.  The only music that works is the Sample and Theme music that comes with iPhoto.  Any idea of what to do about this problem?

In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
    Then quit and restart iPhoto.

  • Adding Background Music Underneath Narration on a Single Slide in Capt 5

I just finished putting together my first Adobe Captivate 5 project and  there is one last detail I need to learn how to do. I have recorded  narration on every slide. I now want to insert background music  underneath my title (first) slide and on the conclusion (last) slide.   Somehow I accomplished this on the first slide, but I cannot remember  how I did it and cannot seem to replicate it on the last slide. I  imported the jingle called Corporate Video2 from the Adobe library. When  I click on my last slide and go to Properties and click Edit Audio, I  hear my narration. When I click on my last slide and then go up to the  little music note icon up top on the toolbar called “Background Audio” I  see and hear the corporate video jingle. How do I meld these into one audio file? What is the  proper technique to add background audio? Should you lay down the  background music first and then record audio or the other way around? Is  there some little trick or glitch I’m missing? I only want to do this on one slide, not the entire project. When I preview the  project I only get narration, no music, even though when I go to  Background Audio, it looks like I have successfully imported the music  file. PLEASE HELP! I got this far and want to put this project to bed!  Thank you.

    Hi there,
    Welcome to Adobe Captivate Forums
In Captivate audio can be recorded to 1. Slides, 2. Objects and 3. Project background.
So you can record in whatever way you want to. In the case from what you mention, i can understand that you need to add background audio to first and last slide of your project.
First let me explain you that background audio will be for the entire project. So if you add an audio to project background then it plays for the project till the end of audio. If you want the audio to loop over and play again then you need to enable that option in background audio dialog. This way audio will play in background for the entire project.
Now considering your case i can understand that you have recorded audio for individual slides. So the slides already have a audio and you cant add two audio files to the slide. To accomplish this what you can do is to insert a text caption on first slide ( and last slide) of the project and make the text caption transparent. Later you can delete the text of the text caption . This way you have an object on slide which is not visible to others. Now you can import audio( background music) to this text caption and in the published output you can hear the audio from the text caption and the slide audio.
This will give you narration + Background audio on specific slides effect.
Try it out and let us know if you wanted anything more than this.

  • Playing background music across all pages in an application

I want to have background music playing as people use my application but I want to give them the option to turn it off. My solution is to have a button on my homepage that the user clicks to start background music. The code that launchs the music and a small player is placed on page 29 in an HTML region: e.g.
    <embed src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#wakingdreams.mp3" autostart="true" loop="true"
    width=200 height=60 controls="smallconsole" > </embed>
This allows the user to stop or pause the music using a little player. My solution is to have the control in a small window in the corner but... If I use this code on the button that launches the player
    javascript:popupURL('f?p=&APP_ID.:29:&SESSION.');
I don't know how to resize the player window so that most of my home page is visible and easy to navigate to.
If I use the following code on the launch button then my home page window is blank with the word "[OBJECT]" stuck in the left top corner but the player and it's window is the correct size.
    javascript:window.open('f?p=&APP_ID.:29:&SESSION.'
    ,'DFK','height=35,width=70,toolbar=no,menubar=no,scrollbar=no,resizable=no,location=no,directories=no,minimize=no,maximize=no');
any suggestions one way or the other?...or is there a simpler solution?
    any help appreciated
    regards
    Paul P

    Paul,
    Using
    javascript:popUp2('f?p=&APP_ID.:29:&SESSION::NO:::', 200, 200);
will size the pop-up window to whatever you want. Can you not use frames instead?

  • Preventing looped background music on home page from re loading from another page

    Hi guys,
My problem is that I have background music playing on my home
page that loops (intentionally), but when I click back on to the
home page from any of the other pages on my website, the background
loop starts again from the beggining and ends up playing on top
(compunding) on the original music from the initial home page. How
do I prevent this from happening? I am using Dreamweaver 8.

Please don't repost. Answered in your previous post.

  • Adding background music to video.

What is the difference between music added that shows in green background under the videos and that in purple that covers top and bottom of video?  How do you get the purple one?

Green indicates background music that is free floating as you add or delete clips. Purple indicates music pinned to a particular point in your video.
This article explains how to pin and unpin your music:

  • Lesson 9 Adding Background Music

In lesson 9 "Creating Background Music" I performed the steps 1 thru 11as directed and all was well until step 12. In step 12 you hit the 'Send' button to send the music clip to the timeline, however, when I hit the 'Send' button in step 12, it launches my browser and sends me to the SmartSound web page to purchase their SmartSound Professional Software.
Does anyone have a fix for this so that this step works as described in the lesson.
    Thanks
    BillyMNJ

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What are your following Classroom in a Book or something else?
If you are using Premiere Elements 11, the SmartSound feature comes with only 10 free soundtracks. Each should have a blue icon associated with it.
What soundtrack of the selection did you select and did it have a blue icon associated with it?
Is the lesson specifying what soundtrack to selection or is it leaving that decision up to you?
Let us start here and then decide what next if necessary.
    Thanks.

  • How do i make a photo slideshow / banner for the welcome page in iWeb

How do i create a photo slideshow or fading slidshow for the welcome page in iweb

There are trillions of slideshows to be found on the internets.
Download the one you like, make it work the way you want and put it on the server.
Display it in the browser to see if it looks the way you want.
Then use the <iframe> html element to display it in a HTML Snippet.

  • Welcome page with out  any password pop up

    Hi All,
I have one req. that we have to make one BSP page in page with flow logic. And that page should not ask for any user id and password. Can you please  help me out?
    Thanks and regards,
    Kuldeep Verma

    Hello Kuldeep,
If the BSP application contains the Welcome page as well as other pages, you can achieve the goal through dividing the application into two parts: public part and protected part.
For example, for the Welcome page, you can create a page with name "public/welcome.htm", and for other pages that must be accessed with user authorization, you may create each page with name "protected/xxxx.htm".
In addition to the above, you need to create two independent services under SICF relevant node for the BSP application. As in example, one independent service is named "public", and the other is named "protected". For "public" serive, you need to specify a user that has limited rights; for "protected" service, you do not need to specify any users.
    Please reward points if helpful!
    Best regards!
