Adding better graphics

Since the new mac minis, come with substantially better graphics cards with them, if you could get a hold of one of them could you install it on an older mac mini running intel?

Hi and welcome to Discussions,
since most likely the new Minis have the graphics card/chip soldered onto the logic board, the answer is no.
The 'older' Minis had the graphics chip soldered onto the logic board.

  • HP Pavilion Elite M9040N - Putting in a better Graphics Card

Hi,I've been searching for a even better Graphics Card than what I have in my computer right now.It seems that when I play the new updated Train Simulator 2015,my graphics can't keep up with the games graphics which they reccommend the Graphics Card 512MB with Pixel Shader 3.0 (AGP PCIe only) Iam trying to figure out which Card would be in the best to get and also be in mid price range or for a good deal.If anybody knows of a Graphics Card that I could upgrade from the current Nvidia Zotac GT 520 card that I have in my CPU already.I'd be greatful for anyone's opinion on this,Thank's!  :-)

I have some sad news for you. The m9040n is below the minimums required for gameplay of Trainz 2015.
Your system has a 2.4Ghz processor, min is 2.8Ghz, recommended is an I-5 at 3.4Ghz.
The Zotac GT520 1GB 64bit card is too weak, but no sense upgrading the card. You do not the CPU power.

  • How do i choose a better graphics processor for my MacBook Pro when ordering it?

I am considering getting a non retina mac book pro online and read about customising it for better performance. It mentioned upgrading to a better graphics processor, but I see no options to upgrade in the checkout, only upgrades to the processor. Do I buy graphics processor separately after I have my MacBook?

You cannot upgrade graphic processor after buying it.
There are two versions of MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch.
One comes with  Intel Iris Pro Graphics and other with
Intel Iris Pro graphics and NVIDIA GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5.

Added better baseline support for ConstraintLayout. ConstraintRow's now have a baseline property. It can either be a number or of the form "maxAscent:x". In the first case, it will position elements at that y-pixel value in the row based on their baseline position.  Otherwise, it first aligns elements to the maximum baseline position of the elements in the row, and then, positions elements based on the pixel value provided. This support allows elements with different baselinePositions to be aligned more easily.

  • Better graphics card for Mac Pro 5?

I have a new mac Pro and have recently been having some trouble with a 3D modeling program that I use crashing constantly. I have looked into the possibilities of it being software related but after more research I've found that many mac users using the same program are having the same issue. They replied that more often than not the issue was fixed by updating their graphics card. My question is, is there a better graphics card out there that I can upgrade to, or is what I'm running already up there?

  • How to get better graphic performance on my Satellite C850?

    Hi.
I have a problem with my *Toshiba Satellite C850-B253* and The problem is of graphic,in my PC when i run "**PES 2013**" the game warned to me even my *GPU* is not minimum and is very low to open this program.
Please give me a issue that the game and my computer work better of past.
    Thank you

    Listen dude
You bought this notebook Satellite C850-B253 which is equipped with an Intel HD Graphics 4000 with shared memory (memory amount : up to 1,696 MB shared memory with 4 GB system memory installed (with pre-installed 64-bit operating system)
Dont expect too much from this internal graphic chip.
Your game is new and requires great GPU performance. If you are a gamer, you should purchase a notebook with an external GPU like ATI or nVidia.

  • Will connecting to TV give better graphics

I can't play some games on my bootcamp partition because my graphic card is not good enough (imac mid2010 21.5"). If I connect to TV via mini display/thunderbolt and HDMI will i be able to run the game. Are TV graphics better than iMac's...?

    Hi,
Unfortunately this isn’t how this works, the graphics card in your mac controls and pushes the video to your TV. So, in short, when you connect to your TV you are still using the card inside your Mac. The way a TV is used when you connect your mac to it is the same as a monitor, it doesn’t have a graphics card in the sense that a computer does and so connecting to it won’t boost your graphics processor.
The only solution of this sort is to buy an external graphics card enclosure but this is an expensive and relatively inefficient option. So your best bet, if you play a lot of high power games is to buy a new computer. If this isn’t an option for you then perhaps see if you can turn down the graphics settings on the game as this might help.
    Hope this helped you ,
    Rob

  • Which is better graphic for iMac 2007 or MacBook Air 2012

iMac use ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB and MacBook Air use intel graphic 5000m so which is better?

Without knowing how you intend to use the computer it's impossible to say, also you are comparing apples and oranges.

  • What's the better graphics card?

The Radeon HD 6750M (1GB) from the 2011 macbook pros or the nVidia Geforce GT 650m (1GB) in the current refresh?

Depends what you're going to use it for.
The Nvidia Geforce GT650M will be a faster graphic card.
But the Radeon will have a better video quality.
The way graphic cards are built now however, it's hard to find the difference in video quality since they're all pretty fast.

  • Hyperlink added to graphic

I was wondering if there was anyway to create a hyperlink to
a graphic in flash. What I want to be able to do is that I want the
logo to slide onto my picture and after it slides on I want it to
become a hyperlink, I'm not really sure how to do this does anyone
    no how?

Here is the code that I am using, I get an error saying:
1084: Syntax error: expecting rightparen before colon.
    here is the code:
    getURL(
    http://content.aktion.com/devel/heatcontroller/century.html,_self);
    stop();
I know I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what, and
I still can't get the stop action to work, it would work before I
added the getURL action, it's been awhile since I've used
actionscript so I'm not really sure what I"m doing wrong. Any help
    would be appreciated.

  • Cell shading and adding a graphic above/below a paragraph

    Hi all--
I'm creating a two-column, one-row table for examples. For the left column, I set up shading for 30% light gray. For the paragraph tag in that same column, I'm importing a frame, which contains the word "Example," from the Reference page. To do this, I selected the Advanced tab in the Paragraph Designer, and selected the frame I created on the Reference page from the Frame Below Pgf. drop-down list.
The frame appears in the table column, but it appears that the background of the word "Example" isn't transparent. So, the shading of the cell is blocked out by the frame from the Reference page. See the attached .gif file.
Can anyone provide ideas for either making the frame transparent, or adding shading to the frame? Thanks!

    Lance,
Going back to your original question, I did some testing. On the reference page, select the frame containing the word Example. Then from the drawing tools, set its fill pattern to None; this makes the frame transparent.
In my testing, I created a graphic frame with fill of None and inserted a text line inside it. This works.
You can also create a text frame inside the graphic frame and also set the fill pattern of the text frame to None. This also works.
Apparently, although you can create a text frame on the reference page, FrameMaker does not allow you to name it; hence, you cannot use it in the paragraph designer as a frame above/below. But creating a graphic frame with fill of None DOES work.
    Good luck,
    Van

  • Adding a graphic into text box (runtime without drawing sprite)

I have the game instructions in a scrolling box but would
like to add graphic of the arrow keys
    into the text field .
this is probably simple .. tried adding with "+" .. but
    wasn't that simple...
    thanks for considering

it can be either ... I tried with a library graphic ... and
then as a mc .. but figured a image in the library would be the
    easiest ....
was hoping I could just add it in the AS3 text script.. but
    did not work for me

Is there any other way to use a graphics card?
    Hi,
It already has video chip (card). As mentioned above, no way you can add an external video card to your machine. Actually there is one way which requires the following steps:
    (a) Buy a new motherboard which supports external video card,
    (b) Buy a new video card,
    (c) Buy a new cooling system,
    (d) You may need new power supply (charger)
And at the end of the day your machine may NOT work as you dream and the total cost would be more than the price of a new, better computer.
Hope this explains a bit more.
    Regards.

  • Better Graphics Card for Mac Pro !!

    Hi,
I planning to upgrade my Mac with the latest Mac Pro .. so I'd like just to know ..
Which is the better performance can I get it for 3D Graphics redraw .. and Open CL feature:
A Mac Pro, have (One) NVIDIA EVGA GeForce GTX 285 1GB GDDR3 memory (Here is the Card info )
Or Mac Pro, have (3x) NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB (Here is the Card info )
Or anyone can advice me another graphics card better than above for Mac Pro ?
(Except the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800)
    Thanks in Advance.

Two choices, either ATI 4870 can be bought as BTO for $200, or buy with GT120 and add GTX 285 $449 afterwards (not offered as BTO configuration at reduced price).
ATI seems favored by OS X and Apple applications but has to catch up in some areas, you know, like behind on OpenCL which will take time and work really (and Nvidia with CUDA, GPGPU and Physx has a leg up).
Or, sit on pins and needles and hope ATI 5870 or GTX 480 (bit, power guzzeler).
Apple likes to have basic card that doesn't need aux power so has to work @ 75W, and only has two 6-pin, the Fermi cards have 6 and 8-pin, unless revised models of Mac Pro have more options.
    Run Windows, the GTX shines.
There has never been support for SLI, and recently even CFX was disabled as well.

  • Can I add a better graphic card to Equium A100-306?

As the title suggests is it possible to add a graphics card to an A100 - 306 Equium in order to better handle games?
    Any thoughts/comments much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello,
Honestly no its not possible. Every model has a set list of parts that can be ordered, and if your model has a graphics card of 128MB the only video card an ASP can order is the one listed for your model. The equium A100-306 is different for instance then the Equium A100-307. From looking at the parts list for your computer, your Graphics card is integrated on the MB, meaning you can not even upgrade it if you wanted. Sorry, no chance for an upgrade on your Notebook.
