Adding Border to Photos in Detail View

Is it possible to add a simple border to the photos in the detail view? I've tried adding borders to the photos in the grid view using the inspector and the floating/popup window but the borders only show up in the grid view and not in the detail view. If anyone knows how to add a simple colored border to the photos in the detail view I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi, I'm not sure if this will help or solve the problem, but you could take a look at the link attached for OnOne Photoframe, it's free, so it may be worth checking out. My version works as a plug-in for Aperture, not sure about this one.

Adding motion to photo within the viewer(s).

"You can add motion to a photo before adding it to your movie, or any time after you have added it." Doesn't seem to work in my case. I have numerous photos dragged succesfully into my movie from the pane, as well as some stills made from video footage.
In either case, I am unable to bring up the Photo Settings window per the Help instructions. I go to the Media button/photos pane but the "Show Photo Settings" window option is grayed, and unable to be selected.
I haven't been able to figure out a work-around for this....HELP!

When we import a photo iMovie creates a clip. If we later edit that clip — add a title, for example — the clip is no longer editable as a photo. We aren't allowed to use the Photo Settings palette to Update the clip. We can't apply a different zoom setting, for example.
My guess is your problem clip has been edited in some way so it can no longer be Updated. Because of that, the "Show Photo Settings" button is disabled.
If you wish, you should be able to choose Advanced > Revert to Original to return the clip to its original state. Then iMovie should allow you to Update it.
Be aware of a bug, however, that can affect whether an Update is even possible:

Can i start a photo slideshow directly on detail view?

Hi all, Im working on my website right now, and am trying to make a photo page where the album is displayed directly with the detail view (with the small thumbnails on top), is this possible? I tried Cyclosaurus' way, but i still dont see anything happening!

I did try it, but for some reason it doesnt work, when I publish nothing happens. Even though what i really would like is to have the detail view of the pictures with the small thumbnails on the top. Kind of what I read on another thread with the code below, but it didnt work either.

Am I doing something wrong? here is what Im doing:
1. I have my photos page
2. I put all the photos I want into the slideshow
3. I creat a an HTML Snippet and put either of the codes mentioned
4. I publish
....but nothing happens, either nothing appears, or the slideshow appears normally on the first part, where you have to click in order to then go to the detail view with the thumbnails on top.

Photo album without detail view

I was wondering if there were other options for viewing a photo album than the detailed view?
I would rather have you click on an image in the album and go to a enlarged view without having the small thumbnails above it. Is this possible?
Are there other options for viewing an album?

I am using iweb to create my site and have an album that contains photo pages. I used a web widget / HTML snippet, to jump from my album page straight to 'detail view mode' on my photo page.
I'd like to customize the look of my 'detail view' a little (I'm using the 'White' Theme).
I have removed 'subscribe' and 'download' and do not have a slide show.
How do I:
1. Remove the text 'previous', and 'next' that appear under the image leaving just the arrows?
2. Change the look of those arrows (from 'canvasarrow-right03.png' and 'canvasarrow-left03.png' to 'canvastransport-left-N03.png' and 'canvastransport-right-N03.png')?
3. Remove the arrow that is next to 'Back to album' leaving just text?
4. Change the font and colour of this text ('Back to album') to Aerial Regular 12pt caps, 65% black?
5. The thumbnails have a blue frame to indicate which image is in large view, how do I change the colour to an orange?
6. Remove the buttons in blue and grey, top centre (that change the view from thumbnails and large pic to just large pic)?

I can't change the "Sending Page" because it uses custom "Filtering & Sorting" to drill down to the addresses..
Once the User has "Checked" the records to be mapped, they click the Map button, and it takes them to this Detail page (with the ID's in the URL)
Now that you mention it, the Detail form does have all of the Form fields/wkRptID's (for each of the addresses) on the page.. but how would I iterate thru the form data of each record, and grab the wkRptID's and add them to the WHERE statement..?
Either way, once I have the Query correct, it is then fed to my Google Map to plot the addresses..

"download" link in Detail View to open in new browser window?

How would I go about getting the image that opens, after clicking "download" in detail view on a photo page, to open in a new window. I would like to get back to the detail view by closing the window, as opposed to using the back button.

you need to change photos page's detail view widget's downloadPhoto function (in DetailView.js file), you can change it in several places:
1) inside iweb.app, you have to drill into iweb.app by control click on it and select Show Package Contents... to inside iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/Widgets/DetailView.iwdgt
2) inside your published site: <your site>/Scripts/Widgets/DetailView

Not able to display bar chart in details view

How to set a page template for news detailed view?

Is there a way to set a page template for the detailed view of the news module?
I have a page template setup and added the {module_announcement,,,,,} to the page. When the news item is clicked it always opens the default template - is this how it is designed to work or is there a way I can specify it to use a different page template?

Bug in details view: index columns not shown correctly, stops at 4th column

I do have two indices on a table which are shown in the details view. In the column 'columns' only the first 4 columns are shown that belong to the index.
If I choose an index in another detail view, all columns are shown correctly.
Where to report this bug?

I just realized this was an issue today.
Once one knows that only 4 columns are shown in the summary and that you have to click on the index name for any index that shows 4 columns to see if there are more, well that extra click is pretty simple and not a big deal.
The problem is BEFORE one knows of this. For weeks, when reviewing some indexes created by others, I was under the wrong impression about some indexes because I thought they only had the 4 columns shown. I didn't know at that time that I had to select the index and look at the detail section.
It wasn't until I just happened to click on one of them and saw more columns listed that I realized there was a bug. And yes, as far as I'm concerned, this is a bug not a feature.
At an absolute minimum, there should be something done so users know they have to look at the details. Perhaps the heading could be changed to "Columns (up to 4)" or the ellipsis or (more) could be added as someone else suggested. Even just an additional comma would help. I can't imagine why it was written to stop at 4 anyway - why does that make any sense?
This is the first time I've come to this forum so I'm not sure how to request an enhancement. I'll read a few other threads and see if I can tell.

Work around for SVG's in detail view?

Using an SVG in a custom field within a web app. The file displays correctly in the list view, but converts to a linked .svg file in the detail view. Any ideas on how to work around this?

Adding "_path" right after "white", after the "]", or any of the "}" is not generating anything. I did how ever get this to work:

I would really like to learn to do it with Liquid though, is there something I am missing? Thanks for your help!

Next/previous button into detail view???

I have a tableview and it feeds the plist data into a detail view.... I would like to have two buttons in the detail view, one to move forward through the array from the last tableview and one to move backwards through the array. The data would be displayed in the detail view.

Adding a contact photo to a contact on iPhone breaks ActiveSync to Exchange

This is a weird one... I have a user who has an original iPhone, we just upgraded her to 2.0 a week ago. She noticed that she lost her contact photos when we replaced her contacts with those stored on exchange. She added them back to the contacts on the phone and everything appeared fine. The problem came when she went to add an email address to a contact (which had a photo). It did not update on the iPhone.
Adding a contact on the iphone synced, and modifying a contact that did not have photo synced. Modifying a contact on the computer (one which was not syncing to phone) synced to webmail, so that part of the sync (desktop to exchange) was working. If you remove the picture, it starts syncing again. Issue persists in 2.0.1.
I will test on a iPhone 3G tomorrow and see if the problem persists on all phones and exchange accounts. Can anyone verify this on their setup? If it is not a problem for you are you using exchange 2007?

Either remove photos, or disable active sync for contacts, enable syncservices to sync to OS X address book, and sync via cable.

UPDATE: OK, today I tested with 3G iPhone, and there is no issue at all syncing (in fact, the contact picture appears as an attachment to the contact if viewed in webmail).
I then setup another 1st Gen iPhone to the same exchange server, add a photo to the contact, made a change to the contact, and have the same problem -- no sync after photo added, syncs when photo is removed. I even deleted (from Entourage) a contact that I had added a picture to on the phone, and that change did not go to the iphone until I deleted the photo (Waited about 5 minutes). About 20-30 seconds after deleting the photo on the contact, it recognized that the contact was deleted from the exchange side, and pushed the deletion to the phone where it when poof right before my eyes like it's supposed.
This is kind of baffling since you'd think the software is the same between the first gen and 3G after 2.0, but the problem is very re-creatable for me...]

Win 7 File-Manager "Pages" column on details view not working.

Hi, I'm using AA XI on Win 7. I have a couple of advanced file managers (xplorer2 and XYplorer) that let you choose different columns for the the "Details View." One of the built-in WIndows properties that can be used as a column is "Pages." It shows the number of pages that a Word doc has, but does not show anything for PDF files. One of the XYplorer forum members said that I need to install PDF-XChange, then the column support will be added to my computer... Is there an Acrobat XI setting that will allow Windows to read the number of pages in a PDF? Any other thoughts on this? Many thanks.
