Adding CD music to Itunes - does not sync to ipod touch 5 gen

Windows 7PC. Easy to add the music from a CD to Itunes.
But, then when I sync itunes to Ipod, music does not export to Ipod.
Must be a setting that is not right?
Have to reload them all again?

"Across the top, there is Summary, Apps, MUSIC- Click on Music"
Yes, those are the sync settings that I referred to in my answer.
"Make sure the (check mark) is sync music, click on entire music library"
This option works fine for small music libraries. When it gets bigger, it won't fit on the iPhone. At that point simply switch to more selective syncing.

Itunes does not recognize my iPod Touch using Windows 7 - 64bit. Is this a driver issue? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix?

    hi sally,
see if this user tip by Yorkwill helps:
+In the end what works is to just force the drivers on what windows thinks is a camera, i.e. to ‘update’ the device to use the correct driver. There are some hints on how to do this already listed on this forum, but I’ll try to give some more detailed information:+
+1. First off you need to have iTunes installed and the ipod touch plugged in+
+and recognized as ‘something’ e.g. digital camera (it shouldn’t really+
+matter what it’s recognized as, but it needs to be found by windows).+
+2. Search for usbaapl in the C:\WINDOWS system folder:+
+o open windows explorer (e.g. Right-click Start and then click ‘explore’)+
+o right-click the WINDOWS folder and select ‘Search’).+
+o type in usbaapl and hit Search – try to ignore the dog!+
+You should find the driver info in a sub folder of+
    +C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\usbaapl_A65621D65F5B7507DD7B22331826547BDD2D206B+
+Remember that location (either leave the search box open or copy the folder+
    +name into note pad – you’ll need it later)+
    +If you don’t find usbaapl.sys, usbaapl.inf etc. then your drivers have not+
+been installed with the iTunes install and you’ll have to reinstall iTunes.+
    +3. Locate the ipod-camera device:+
+o Open the device manager, e.g. using Start > Control Panel >+
    +Performance and Maintenance > System > Hardware Tab > Device Manager+
+o Look for a device called ‘ipod’ - if your ipod shows up as+
+‘digital camera’ it will be under something like ‘imaging devices’.+
    +4. Update the driver:+
+o Right click the ‘ipod-camera’ in device manager and click on+
+‘Update Driver’ – the Hardware Update Wizard will open.+
+o Check the ‘Install from a list or specific location’ then click ‘Next’+
+o Check ‘Search for the best driver in these locations’. Un-check+
+‘Search removable media’ and check ‘Include this location in the search’.+
+In the text box below type (or better copy and paste) the folder+
+containing the ipod driver information found in step 1 (in the example+
    +above it was C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\usbaapl_A65621D65F5B7507DD7B22331826547BDD2D206B), +
    +then click Next.+
+You should now see something like ‘Apple ipod device driver’ or so. Continue+
+installing that device. Once the driver has been installed the ipod will come+
+to life and iTunes (if you have it open) will show it.+

  • After updating iTunes for window 8.1 iTunes does not recognize my ipod touch

My laptop updated to iTunes version 11.1.4.  And now when i hook up my ipod or iphone, itunes does not see it. My laptop still sees both but now i cant download songs to either device. Any ideas anybody?

Re: Upgraded to iTunes 11.1 and now it won't recognize my iPhone Sep 18, 2013 2:15 PM (in response to davidsh_seattle) I was able to fix it!  iTunes can now see my iPhone5.   I followed these instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538   And re-installed the "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver".   •     Right-click the Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, or Apple iPod entry in Device Manager and choose Update Driver from the shortcut menu. •     Click "Browse my computer for driver software." •     Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer." •     Click the Have Disk button. (If the Have Disk option is not present, choose a device category such as Mobile Phone or Storage Device if listed, and click next. The Have Disk button should then appear.) •     In the "Install from Disk" dialog, click the Browse button. •     Use this window to navigate to the following folder:  C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. •     Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead). •     Click OK in the "Install from Disk" dialog. •     Click Next and finish the driver-installation steps. Open iTunes to verify that the device is recognized properly.  this worked to sync my iphone 5. not i4 or i3 phones(now ipods) In Device Manager I also noticed I had 3 apple drivers under Portable devices.  I deleted two of them. I updated the remaining driver, now I can sync my i5, i4 and i3.  You may have to View hidden devices.

  • ITunes does not sync my iPod?

Hello. Tonight I plugged my iPod nano into my laptop and waiting for my iPod to sync in my iTunes library, but my iTunes library never opened up and my iPod did not display the "syncing" dialogue on the screen.
Is there anything I can do to fix this so I can sync my iPod? I last synced it about a week ago and am not sure why it isn't working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Jackie
(p.s. I also posted this question in the iTunes category as well because I wasn't sure which it fit best into).

I am having the same issue,
But I have found a temporary fix.
When your iPod shows up in iTunes, but doesn't sync, you press the "restore" button.
The dialog will pop up, asking if you really want to restore your iPod, But dont press anything. If you look in the background of the dialog, iTunes is syncing your iPod with your library.
It gets annoying though when you have to do that to sync your iPod successfully.
Does anyone know the fix to this problem?

  • Music is not syncing from ipod touch (gen 2) to my macbook pro?

i just got a new laptop and am trying to transfer music onto my library but its not syncing/tranferrring?

That is true.  The music sync is one way only - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases.  Without syncing:File>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

deggie: Thanks, re-installing iTunes worked. There must have been a problem with the mobile devise part of the program. Funny - re-installing is the remedy of choice. I must be getting old. Anyway thanks.
