Adding clip art to the "Extras" in PSE 11

Is it possible to add more clip art to the "Extras" (to be included "on" slides) in Adobe Photoshop Elements 11? I note that there is a clip art folder in Premiere Elements 11 but can find no such thing for Photoshop Elements 11.
Can this be done.
Thanks in advance,
Dale

In Acrobat XI we have provided user customization of the tools and you can now add the 'Strikethrough' (is this what you mean by "StrikeOut"?), 'Underline', and more quite simply to the Toolbar.
Simply right-click on the menu bar which in turn brings up the Tools context menu, and select "Edit Current Tool Set..." - this is the Customization menu.  Here you can add any single tools and any others to the Tool Bar, and/or also create custom Tool Sets for the Right-Hand panel, which consist of only the tools you are interested in having in your Tool Set.
I am fairly certain that we don't support adding or changing Registry Entries for customizing Acrobat, nor ever have.  If you decide to persist in this manner, you are on your own.

  • Add new clip art to content pane in PSE 7

    I want to add some additional clip art to the "create - artwork - content - by object - any category" window pane on the right of the editor screen. I am working on a photo album and need more specialized clip art than the generic stuff that shipped with the software. I looked in the Adobe folder, but nothing jumped out at me. How about a hand?

    In version 3.5, we used to have a section in the workbook to display all the free characteristics, users are using that to do filter and drill down.  If any new char added into query, it will be shown automatically on the workbook once it's refreshed, which usually shown on the row right above the query results.  After converted to BEx 7, this section is equivalent to navigation pane of chars. Of course I can right click to find the new char from the Add drilldown menu and I also can find it in the Query Properties->General page, but then this is a totally different user interaction, we need to re-educate users on this different and notify them whenever a new char is added.  Therefore I am looking for a way to show the new char at nav pane to all workbooks like before.

  • Adding Clip art and text

    I am fine tuning my Premeire Elements Video and adding music, text and some clip art. I am using Premiere 8. When I add clip art and text it goes in fine but when I do a preview playback the text and or the clip art fanishes before the end of the clip. I have put in "time stretch" for the clip, is there any way to also lengthen the clip art and the text? I have looked and read but am not finding the answer. Thanks

    Meantime, have you checked out my free 8 part Basic Training series on Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com?

  • Can a selection be used to create an arc without clipping art to the selection size?

    I need to arc a rectangular shaped piece of art into an arc.
    The art has bleed which can't be calculated into the arc, but needs to remain as a bleed. (Just like a clipping path obscures the view of the extraneous art, yet it's still there)
    Is there a way to tell Illustrator to designate a selection to use as the starting area…and then arc it into a shape…without first eliminating the art/photo/type hanging off into the bleed?
    In the following example, the orange rectangle is the area of the art I need to warp into the shape of the arc laying on top…yet I need the bleed to remain.
    [IMG]http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i53/Bug_Nuts/Adobe%20Illustrator%20Forum/Screenshot.png[ /IMG]

    Katrina,
    The question is how can I make illustrator take this
    art...and warp it...making the area that equivalent to the yellow trim
    box fit to the warp shape...YET...keep the bleed...and warp evenly.
    No, unfortunately not: different shapes are warped quite differently.
    My
    experience has been that because of the irregular things hanging off
    the sides, illustrator uses those when it calculates the arc. I need it
    to calculate the warp of this art using the yellow box as "from"...and
    the warp shape as "to".
    To get things to work properly, you can only apply one warp, and the obvious choice is to get everything inside (by getting rid of outlying parts, hence the Clipping Mask with subsequent snipping off) and then inflate the photograph part and get it as nice and even as possible; this has been the basis for the instructions below.
    Referring to the AI file (see bold type) and an amended version of post #17 (I can see that both the photograph(s) and the vector artwork are to be clipped):
    If you have some vector/raster artwork (this is the cat and the circles) within a rectangle (this is the upper, smaller rectangle) and a woody photograph in  the background (I can see that the woody photograph to have bleed is only in the right side), all of which are supposed to be warped using Arc, so  that the warped woody photograph extends past the vector artwork to also  function as a bleed (the bleed seems to be 18pt, corresponding to the lower, larger rectangle), the bounding rectangle of the vector/raster artwork  forming the  basis of the Arc, and if you are willing to adjust the  woody photograph which  may have a slight distortion and live with a non  constant bleed, you may:
    1) Copy the rectangle (this is the upper path in the first Group), to get a top rectangle and a bottom rectangle (the bottom rectangle replaces the lower path in the second Group which cannot be used here, step 6) is to create a path that can do it);
    2)  Select the top rectangle and the underlying vector/raster artwork, Group  them, and reduce the  opacity to 50% (so you can see the woody photograph  beneath;
    3) Copy the bottom rectangle to the front, to get a middle rectangle;
    4)  Copy the middle rectangle to the front to and  Object>Path>Average, to get an supplementary middle rectangle with  W = H = 0;
    5) Select 3) and 4) and Object>Compound Path>Make, to get a middle compound path;
    6)  Scale  the bottom rectangle up by a suitable amount, possibly 1.1 times  for W  and 1.2 times for H so that it covers the desired part of the  photograph  including the bleed (see more later);
    7) Select the scaled bottom rectangle and the underlying photograph and Object>Clipping Mask>Make;
    Now   you need to get rid of the outlying parts of the woody photograph (copy  before these destructive steps and hide the original set):
    8) In the Transparency palette/panel dropdown, click Multiply (or just anything but Normal);
    9) Object>Flatten Transparency (just keep the defaults, especially if you have vector artwork along with the image(s));
    Now  you need to resize the Clipping Mask to match the rectangle/artwork Group:
    10)   Scale the Clipping Mask down by the reverse amount of that in 6) (1.1   times for W and 1.2 times for H) so that it has the same size as the rectangle/artwork Group, but with the woody photograph compressed;
    The main shaping step:
    11) Select everything and Effect>Warp>Arc (this will give the top rectangle the Arc shape, and everything else will be warped correspondingly);
    Creating/shaping the woody photgraph/bleed along with the middle compound path:
    12)    Select the Clipping Mask and the middle compound path (easy to do by  clicking it in the Layers palette/panel), then Object>Expand  Appearance, then
    12a) Click the uppermost Anchor Point (which  corresponds to the inner W = H = 0 path of the middle compound path, and  its says Anchor, if you have Smart Guides on), to set a more correct  centre for scaling and thereby reduce the additional distortion of the  photograph, and then
    12b) DoubleClick the Scale Tool and scale up by the  same amount as in 6) (1.1 times for W and 1.2 times for H).
    Placing the woody photograph:
    8)   Move the woody photograph vertically until the bleed is roughly equal  on all  sides and the photograph is placed correctly behind the   artwork/rectangle Group;
    You may need to redo some of the  steps to adjust and get them right. In this process, you may move the  supplementary middle rectangle 4) upwards before creating the compound  path to further reduce the additional distortion of the woody photograph.
    When things are right (if they will ever be):
    9) Increase the opacity of the artwork/rectangle Group to 100%.
    Final note: I believe the exact distortion of the woody photograph is less crucial than it would have been for the cat.

  • Embedded clip art

    I want to create a button on a form that looks like a human eye.
    I can’t seem to find a wingding of an eye, so I want to display a piece of clip art on the form button.
    I’ve seen examples on line like:
    This->button1->Image = Image::FromHbitmap(IntPtr hbitmap);
    This->button1->Image = Image::FromFile(“path/eye.bmp”);
    And I’ve seen references like:
    HBITMAP hBMP = (HBITMAP) LoadImage( NULL, "Your/ImagePath/a.bmp", IMAGE_BITMAP, 0, 0, LR_LOADFROMFILE);
     I don’t want the program to require the bmp file on disk when it runs.
    Is there a way to convert the bmp file into some sort of binary bitmap stream and then embed that stream in my source code instead of referencing the file itself in the code?

    Images can be embedded into resource file having .resx extension. Check if your project already contains such a file in Solution Explorer, otherwise add one using Add New Item command. Then double-click the .resx file in Solution Explorer. Then you
    should be able to insert existing images. After compilation, the image will be embedded into executable.
    In order to access the image, consider the ResourceManager class:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/7fffb96c-81f8-4fe6-b4fd-fa423806801e. Adjust the name of the application, the name of resource file (without extensions) and the name of resource item.

    Hi Hunt,
    I guess I was wondering if the PrE9/10 clip art is actually installed on the hard drive or embedded into a DLL library and one can only see it within the program, then export it.
    SORRY.... I JUST FOUND IT ON MY HD..... it's PNG FORMAT....   no problem.

  • Clip art or icons

    Can someone tell me if there is clip art on a mac as in windows or what its equal is and how to get to it? I have started using Ibank and the program will let you put pictures or icons by the transactions . I would like to have the icons i am going to use saved on my mac so i don't have to get them off the web all the time.Maybe someone out here uses ibank and knows how to save them in ibank. Either way would be a big help.

    If you want access to any and all, from your Applications folder, Control+click on the iWeb.app. Choose Show Package Contents.
    You can find all of these items by following this path:
    Contents/Resources/English.Iproj/Templates
    Select the template that has the Clip Art you want, and Control+click on it, again, choosing Show Package Contents. Find the item you are looking for and double-click it; it will open in Preview. Now, File/Save As, and choose the Desktop as the location.
    You have now acquired your clip art from the iWeb.app and it is saved on your Desktop. The nice thing about this approach is you can get anything; e.g., some of those cool Apple page backgrounds.

  • I would like to freely add clip art in Full Edit Mode in PSE 5.0

    Hello,
    I am new to Photoshop Elements. I have PSE 5.0 on a windows XP platform with service pack 3 installed. I want to be able to create flyers with PSE and would like to freely be able to add various types of clip art into my canvas. I know you can do this when you're creating slides, but I want to be able to do this in PSE full edit mode, not by creating a slide show via the organizer.
    There are tons of clip art online and they have various file types too. I am also wondering if I can use any of the file types as well. The ones that PSE has for the slide shows are .png. But online I have seen .wmf, .mpf, .jpg as well. How can I incorporate all this clip art for use in creating flyers and/or logos by just starting with a blank 8.5 x 11 canvas in full edit mode?
    Any expert help here would be greatly appreciated. I was able to do this using Word, but Word of course lacks the graphic quality and optionality of PSE greatly.
    Sincerely,
    Lee

    Thanks for your reply here Bob. I have read what you mentioned above and am not quite sure how to do it that way. What I have been doing so far is to find a clip art item somewhere, copy it to the clipboard, then bring it into PSE with the File-New-from clipboard command.
    This will bring it into it's own space and Layer as a separate file on it's own. Then I select it, copy the selection to the clipboard once again, move over to my blank canvas which only has one background layer now, and paste it onto this canvas.
    This seems to be working, but I loose the Vector graphic aspect of the clip art image because it converts it to a raster type of image now. So I have to be very careful in resizing it to not loose resolution and such.
    I noticed when I go to create a slide show in PSE, I have access to the graphics palette where you can double click a piece of clip art and it goes right onto your slide and stays as a vector image. I can get to these images while in full-edit mode, but I have to use the file-open command and navigate to the right folder and then open one up into full-edit mode as it's own layer. But then once again, I loose the vector aspect and I have to go through the process of selecting it, copying it to the clipboard and then pasting onto my blank canvas.
    I know that MS Word is no match for this product, but at least there I could easily add clip art to any flyer I am making without loosing the vector aspect. But I know that the quality is so much better here in PSE and that I just need to learn how to utilize more of its functionality and power. Hence why I am writing this post I suppose.
    Isn't there an easier way to get clip art into your blank canvas in full edit mode without having to go through all this and/or without having to create a slide show to get access to this clip art pallete? And having to loose the vector aspect of the clip art is not so wonderful either. Did I buy the wrong Adobe application - Ha!
    Should I be using Illustrator since I want to create flyers using clip art, type and effects?
    My apologies for this long post, but I would really like to be able to utilize, if at all possible, PSE 5.0's full power to create great quality flyers using all these things.
    Thanks again,
    Lee

  • Where is all the clip art?

    I recently installed CS4 Design Premium, which I purchased over the web. When I go into Illustrator, there are only a few clip art samples. I thought there was supposed to be a ton. Where is it?

    I should clarify that I know the files are supposed to be in the "Cool Extras" folders, but in my Cool Extras folder there are only a few templates, and a handful of sample art files. I was under the impression that there was going to be a lot more than that.

  • I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but am looking for confirmation.  I have a dell computer at home that has clip art available on it for putting pictures into documents.  Do I need to install an APP to get something similar to clip art?

    I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but am looking for confirmation.  I have a desktop computer at home that has clip art loaded onto it.  I recently got an iPad and am looking for something similar.  I assume I need to get an APP for it, and if that is correct, does anyone have one that they like?

    Sort of.  There is an app called art shop that gives you a place to park clip art.   But I don't think you really need it.
    If you have a collection of clip art you want available, move it to the camera roll on your pad/ phone, then copy paste into your document the clip you want.
    You can get them into the camaera roll by putting them in a single event in your picture library and syncing them over,  or e mail them to your self, and save to the camera roll, or send them to drop box, and bring them down that way.
    The challenge is getting them all in one place to make it easy for you to find, which is why syncing might be the best approach in the long run.
    As near as I can tell there is not a ready made clip art collection in app format laying around.

    Is there a way to remove the white background from clip art?

    And replace it with what? transparency? You'll need to work in a format that supports that like png or psd. So you'll need a good editor too.

    You used the data.  Verizon can not see what it was sued for.  However your phone can see whats apps used the data.  go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle.  line the dates up with your cycle.  then there will be a bar graph below that   extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right.  after those are extended below that will be a list of apps,  there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse
