Problem while setting custom Challenge Questions in 11gR2

Hi all,
I am trying to add some custom Challenge Questions in 11gr2 but it is throwing error . For this first i added questions in Look up and then in customResources_en.properties and then i restarted OIM server.
when a user is logging for the first time he has to set his challenge question there i am getting error like:

What is the process in R2 to add new challenge questions
I have added the new questions to lookup 'Lookup.WebCLient.Questions' and to the adfCommonModel BUndles but it is throwing errors when I access the User Information page.

Basically you need to locate the resource-bundle file in this WAR (ear) file:
OIM_HOME/server/apps/oracle.iam.ui.model.ear
(unpack it, add your custom questions, and then re-deploy the WAR)

OIM 11g R2 PS1 - custom challenge question by user

Hello.. we have a requirement to let end user create their own challenge question? OOTB I don't see any option to let users enter thier own password challenge question during the time of challenge question registration.
While I was going through the OIM documentation I came across this property PCQ.USE_DEF_QUES for which the documentations says:

For customers who have customized their UI to allow end-users to set their own challenge questions, this property determines whether the user must select challenge questions from a predefined list in the Web Application, or if users are required to provide their own questions.
Note: Functionality that allows end-users to set their own challenge questions is not supported in the standard out-of-the-box user interface.
Any ideas or suggestions on how or where to do the customization for this requirement?

Check the for duplicacy in OBJ_KEY column of the process defination. If duplicate values exit then set them to 'null' and commit. Restart OIM if required

About the challenge questions of OIM

Regarding the users who come from the trusted source, how to deal with their challenge questions? Because we can not Recon the password from trusted source,so the user can not login to OIM to set the answers. Any suggestions?

Let the oim user record be created with the default password (same as user id).
Write an event handler that updates the password with the new password (randomly generated password that meets your password complexity rules (if one exists in your scemario).
After the trusted recon cycle completes, write a scheduler that will send a mail to the user's manager with the user's oim user id and password. you will need to iterate through all the users in the system and for each record fetch the manager id, fetch the manager's mail address and then send a mail to that email address with the current recor's user login and password.

Adding user challenge questions.

I have been successful in reading and changing questions and answers programmatically but have not been able to add new user questions. (I have been able to add them through IDM online interface.)
Does anyone know how to add new user challenge questions?

I am curious at what point your doing this? I have a set of challenge questions and answers in an LDAP that I would like to use to populate the fields inside of iDM. This way, I could utilze the iDM screens/logic when a user forgets their password. I would also need to keep these fields updated in iDM as they could change in the LDAP. Any suggestions?

OIM Localization for Challenge Question Problem

Hi...
I'm trying to provide localization for User Challenge Questions. I've followed instructions here:

But when user log in from OIM Administrative and User Console, challenge question still appear in English. I've modified language option for this user (FR, DE, NL) and still no luck. Do I miss something here?
Anyway, below are the step I've done:
- add custom challenge questions from OIM Design console
- modify properties file in $OIM_HOME/xellerate/customResources/
- restart OIM

Challenge question and password migration from oimm 10g to 11g r2

can you please tell me how do i do the migration of oim 10g user's password and challenge questions to oim 11g r2. Do we have any api to do it. these values are in encrypted format in oim db.

Run your sql query to output the encrypted fields to a flatfile or csv, and include the usr_login field so you know which user to assign the values to.
Copy your config folder from your oim server and create a patch like c:\xellerate\config. In your code, when you connect to OIM, use this:
System.setProperty("XL.HomeDir", "c:/xellerate");
System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config", "c:/xellerate/config/authwl.conf");
Now, when you read the file and have the encrypted field, use this code:
String decryptValue= tcCryptoUtil.decrypt(encryptValue, "DBSecretKey");
Now that you have the unencrypted value from your 9x instance, you can use the APIs to set challenge questions, and set user passwords with the 11g APIs.

OIM.. challenge questions one at a time

I have a requirement in OIM wherein when a user logs, the challenge questions needs to be posted one a time, rather than all the questions. I could not find any hint from system properties or in tables of OIM. Wanted to know if this do-able and if yes, what parameters need to be set?

OIM 11gR2 - custom attribute with illegal binding on Create User form in published sandbox

Hi,
I think I have managed to paint myself into a corner!
In OIM 11gR2 I have added a number of custom attributes to the "User Form" - some Text-, some Lookup-type attributes.
While customizing the "Create User" page within a sandbox and adding a SelectOneChoice item and fiddling around with its binding, I was distracted by a phone call and the browser timed out.
The binding property on the new item is now not correct and the sandbox has unfortunately been published, and I am now unable to enter the "Create User" page - when I try, I get the following:

OIM 11gR2 Architecture question

Hello,
We're setting up our development environment for OIM 11gR2 and wanted to confirm the concept of configuring a virtual IP for two application servers (each app server containing SOA and OIM). This virtual IP would be setup on a hardware load balancer and referenced by two webtier servers in a DMZ like network. The load balancer would straddle the DMZ and the more protected network with the two app servers. The VIP would be referenced in moduleconf files on the Webtier servers.
Is this supported? Have others done something like this?

OIM 11gR2 : Deletion of Custom UDFs

Hello Experts,
I want to delete some custom UDFs from my User Form.
1. From the front end, i am able to do the same by exporting the sandbox and then deleting the UDFs from the user xml files and then again importing the sandbox.
*2. How may i delete the UDFs from the backend. Is there some utility provided by OIM 11gR2 for the same ? Kindly help *

currently there is no such utility available in r2 which will delete UDF from backend.
You have to do the workaround. what you have done is right but something more to do if you have attached udf on user form.
1. export user.xml(metadata) using deployment manager
2. export sandbox
3. remove entries from user.xml
4. goto sandbox exported files and locate UserVo.xml,UserEo.xml,UserVo.xml.xml, UserEO.xml.xml...etc and remove entries from these file for the udf attribute and save it.
5. import user.xml using deployment manager
6. import sandbox and activate same
above steps will do your job.
