  • Adding Custom Backend service form fields in SAP_PA

    Hi All,
    I have defined a rule in the form scenario using a form field in my custom backend service. I want this rule to be used in the operation of the SAP_PA backend service.
    In order to use the rule in SAP_PA, the field from the custom backend service(used in the rule definition) has to be assigned to SAP_PA as well. Unfortunately I am not able to assign it.
    I have seen SAP delivered from scenarios (S_HR_PA_US_CHG_PERM_ADDR) where they have assigned fields from custom backend service to SAP_PA, Can you please guide me how to acheive this ??
    Thanks,
    Bharath

    Try directly adding the field in the form scenario in the SAP_PA service.
    Thanks,

  • Custom Colors in Oracle Forms.

    Hi,
    As we know we can create custom color in oracle forms and process to create is
    Creating Custom colors :
    a)Go to Tools->Preferences. In General Tab On the Color Mode drop-down, select Editable then exit Forms builder.
    b)Restart forms builder.
    c)Open up a canvas window, then go to Format->Layout Options->Color Palette.
    d)select any colour on the palette and edit it
    say we created a color with rgb value r0g0b100 i edit the from rgb value to FrameColor.Therefore my new custom color name wil be "*FrameColor"*
    Is there any way to know the rgb value after changing Name?
    Kindly help me to know the solution.
    Thanks,
    Manasa

    To see the rgb value you must have set the colour palette to be editable. Then open the colour palette select the custom colour you want to see the value of then click on the Edit button where you will be able to see the rgb value for that colour.
    In 10g
    Set to Editable
    Edit -> Preferences -> change colour mode to Editable -> Exit form builder
    Add Custom Colour
    Re-open the form
    Open a canvas
    Edit -> Layout Options -> Colour Palette
    Select a colour to edit by clicking on an undefined colour i.e. a white square on the bottom far left of the palette
    In the current colour dialog it will say something like custom5 change it to a more meaningful name you can call it the rgb value
    Then click on rename -> then Edit -> change the rbg value to the colour you want to add-> click OK
    Export the custom colour palette
    From the canvas -> Edit -> Export -> Colour Palette -> give it a name

  • Adding custom fields  through SE51

    Hi All!
    This is with regards to adding custom fields through Se51 to standard screens.I had added custom field KNVV-ZZKVGR6 to the screen.
    After drawing the text and I/O buttons.When I activate I am getting an syntax error saying Field KNVV-ZZKVGR6 is defined differently in screen (ABAP/4 field,Dictionary field).
    What does this mean.
    Also if i activate with a SAP standard field instead of the custom it is getting activated.
    But for both the ways I could not able to see the output on the actual transaction.Also the new drawings which i am drawing are in brown color(different form the existing one)
    Please advise.
    regards
    Praneeth

    hi Praneeth,
    what is the program name,screen number you are trying to modify..,and after appending the field <b>ZZKVGR6 to KNVV</b> , now go to table and choose menu <b>Utilities->Data base Utility-></b> now click on  <b>Activate and Adjust the Data base</b>, then try to add the field.
    and are you adding the field from Dictionary (i.e you have option Get From Dictionary in that give KNVV table name it will list the fields, choose zzkvgr6 from it, and place it in your screen.)
    the exit which you are adding should be appropriate one
    or else you won't get the desired results. what is the exit..

  • 256 color in Forms 10g

    I find that there is support for ONLY 256 color in Forms 10g. Is it a limitation and can we use more than 256 colors?
    I want to enter r92g136b146 in canvas properties background color. It gives me an errror FRM-12305
    Please help. Thanks.

    Forms supports 8 bit and 24 bit color spaces. It does not support 16 bit however.
    The help file describes how you can define colors in a custom palette and load that. Note.37765.1 is also helpful.
    Even though the notation you see in the property palette looks like a standard 24 bit rgb notation it is not. It uses percentages (and only discrete values, not 0-100) for each channel rather than values between 0 and 255.

  • Custom colors and fonts in in-context editor?

    I have added some custom colors and font families in our partner portal > online editor settings for a client site. When editing a page or web app item in the Manage tab of the admin console, I can see these colors and fonts in the editor. However, when going to the Edit tab (in context editing), and clicking on a block with ice:editable='html' I only see the standard fonts and colors.
    Does anyone know if this is a known issue? Or is there some workaround to get the custom colors and fonts into the in context editor?

    It's all type, and afew 3D shapes I created, but I noticed when they were printed out by the printer at work, everything was quite fuzzy. However this occured when I saw that 24 MB was way too much to e-mail through my works server. So at that point I decided to make everything into a .gif and place them into Indesign and PDF them, by doing that i completey reduced the quality and the size, so after it printed it was very pixailized on the edges, and the colors were a few tones off....
    I guess I just want to have the best of both worlds a small pdf and good quality...

  • Maintaining Custom Colors from FrameMaker to the PDF

    I tried posting this question under the "Color Management" forum, but got a lot of questions asking what printer, paper, and other settings I'm using...not really what I'm looking for...
    Here is my original post:
    I am having problems with my company's custom logo colors appearing in the PDF correctly. I created two color definitions in FrameMaker 10 (using colors Pantone 485 CVC and Pantone 281 CVC). These colors are mostly used for diagram callouts. Instead of printing these colors that I added, the default red and blue colors appear in the PDF.
    I recently upgraded to Distiller X and Acrobat Professional X, thinking that maybe the older versions just didn't support those colors, and I am still getting the same result. FrameMaker is using the CMYK model.
    I have a feeling that I just need to adjust some settings, but I don't know whether to adjust Distiller, Acrobat, or FrameMaker. Anyone else have issues when trying to use their company's colors? Any ideas on what might work? I don't think the problem is  my screen settings because when I compare the Frame file with the PDF, the difference is obvious.
    Thanks in advance,
    Smitty

    What is your CMYK color space (e.g. some SWOP)?
    How are you creating the PDF?
    Save-as, print-to, or Distill from .ps
    Distill has a separate issue.
    What is the delivery flow?
    Do you need color-matching at a print shop,
    or just in the PDF?
    How are the logo colors coming in?
    If they are from CMYK EPS, for example, they should survive the Windows GDI experience.
    If any of your custom colors are text (not graphics), that's a more involved problem.
    The fundamental problems you're facing are:
    1. Frame has no color management; never will.
    2. Windows had no CMYK for years, and now has a destructive fake CMYK.
    There are usually work-arounds, 3rd party in extreme cases.

    i've read all the posts about the workarounds, etc with syncing iphone/mobileme calendars and not being able to assign colors. however, the custom colors that i had created in ical were created properly on iphone. i had to reset iphone, and now they're in they're not syncing.
    i've reset sync data, added blank calendars, etc, but regardless, it's not working now. i don't remember if there was something specific i did to keep my custom colors assigned last time around. any thoughts? thanks.

  • It's possible to disable custom color from color picker?

    Hi guys!
    I've searched in the threads about color picker but I found anything about it...
    It's possible to disable the option to select a custom color? I work in a enterprise who makes softwares to brazilian clients, and not everybody understands english phrases...
    Another way it's to translate the option, but I don't know if is possible too.
    Thanks!

    You definitely need to add the stylesheet to the Scene, not to anything else. If you take my example and change
    scene.getStylesheets()...
    to
    root.getStylesheets()...
    you'll see that it won't work any more.
    The difference between this and the css you used is that the css you used is applied to the display of the color picker button; you need to apply styles to the popup (the color palette), which is not contained in your VBox or AnchorPanes. Notice how the font has changed for the name of the color in the button, but it hasn't changed for the "Custom Color" label you are trying to remove.
    Somewhere there is some code that is adding the VBox you are subclassing to a Scene, and setting that scene into a stage. Your best option (perhaps second best option, see below) is to find that code so you can add the stylesheet to the Scene itself.
    If you're working within a framework someone else has written, and can't access or change the code where the scene is defined, you have another option that I can see. Every Node has a scene property that refers to the scene to which that node belongs. So you could observe changes to that property and when it's updated, add the stylesheet to the scene.
    So here is a hack to make my original hack work, in the event that you cannot access the scene directly, for some reason:
    final String suppressCustomColorCss = getClass().getResource( "noCustomColorPicker.css").toExternalForm();
    colorPicker.sceneProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<Scene>() {
    @Override
      public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends Scene> observable,
      Scene oldScene, Scene newScene) {
      if (newScene != null) {
      List<String> cssClasses = newScene.getStylesheets();
      if (!cssClasses.contains(suppressCustomColorCss)) {
      cssClasses.add(suppressCustomColorCss);
    This code basically says "when the color picker becomes part of a new scene, add the stylesheet to that scene".
    At this point, you're applying hack on top of hack to get the effect you need. I think if I were in this situation I would just go ahead and define my own color picker. All you really need is a MenuButton, a property to hold the selected color, and a popup with a layout of controls to choose an arbitrary color. It would be a bit of work, but shouldn't be too hard. If you take this option (which I think may be your best bet), it's more work now but it will be clear what you are doing - when you (or other programmers on your team) come back to the code later you'll understand how it works much better.
    You should also file a couple of feature requests. One for API to enable/disable the option to choose a custom color, as this seems like a reasonable piece of functionality to have. The other should be for properly internationalized text for the labels in the color picker, as these are currently just hard coded into the source code in English.

  • Adding custom buttons to the Rich Text Editor in CQ

    Hi,
    I have added custom buttons to the rich text editor in order to allow our editors to add specific content, such as popovers, custom videos and other data necessary data.
    I have successfully modifed the Rich Text editor so, that it includes the custom buttons in the actions panel.
    I have also managed to make the buttons work and include the data where necessary, when user highlights the text and clicks on a certain button.
    The last bit I am struggling with, is the visual feedback we give to the users when this text has associated action with it.
    E.g. when we select this text and make it bold when we click on the word B the button B becomes highlighted in the actions panel, later when we continue typing our text and click again on "bold" the letter B becomes highlighted again.
    Is there any button related callback/method I could overwrite to add this functionality and make my button highlighted ?
    Thanks,
    Puzanovs

    After lot's of thinking found a solution....
    Essentially the first step is to extend the CQ.form.rte.plugins.Plugin in your custom button.
    Then during the UI initialisation we create our "custom"
    var pressButton = new ui.TbElement("press-button", this, true,this.getTooltip("press-button")); // Essential extend of the button
    setInterval(function() {
                     if(window.jQuery) {
                         window.jQuery(document).ready(function () {
                             window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").css({width:45,"background-image":"none"}); // Ignore the background
                             window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").text("Press Button"); // Set the name
                            $(document).on({
                                mouseenter: function(){
                                  window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").html("<b>Press Button</b>"); // Set the name bold
                                mouseleave: function(){
                               window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").html("Press Button"); // Set the name normal
                             }}, '.press-button');
                 }, 100);
    tbGenerator.addElement("press-button", plg.Plugin.SORT_LISTS, pressButton, 10); // element is inserted
    Every time the element is inserted I add the following html
    <span class="press-button">Test peter</span>
    Now, every time in the editor, the content editor mouse overs the custom button it is higlighted in the RTE))

  • Color Palette custom color deployment

    Hello,
    I'm using Forms 9.0.4. I created a custom color called 'tooltext' in the default color palette. Then I created a Visual Attribute called TOOLTIP_VA that used 'tooltext' as its background. Finally I set the Visual Attribute for some of my Tooltips to TOOLTIP_VA.
    Now when I run this in Forms Builder the tooltip colors come up OK. I transferred my FMB file to the Linux formserver and compiled it there to FMX. When I run this form it works too. So I was assuming that somehow the RGB for my custom color is encoded in the FMB file. Is that right?
    I acually expected this not to work (I didn't expect the RGB to be stored in the FMB). Curiously enough when I convert the FMB to XML the RGB for 'tooltext' is NOT in the XML file. However the string 'tooltext' is in the XML file. What's up with that? Does the FMB have the actual RGB values for 'tooltext'? If not, how is it getting the color correctly when I deploy to the forms server? I'm not deploying any PAL file, just the FMB.

    Forms .fmb files contain a color pallette. If you create a new form, and put nothing in it, then save it, it will be at least 32k. If you edit it with a generic text editor, you will see lots of sequences of rgb numbers.
    It is pretty strange that Forms stores the color palette -- completely unnecessary, I would think. Seems like they could just store the rgb sequence of your custom color rather than store the whole palette. I wish they would remove the color palette from the fmb, because there are other bugs related to colors caused by the reliance of a color pallette.

  • Where does Designer stores user defined custom colors?

    Hi,
    Everytime I restart Designer, all my custom colors are reset to white. Which is pretty annoying. So I want to export them to a file at least.
    I figured, that user defined custom colors in Windows are stored in the Registry in:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Custom Colors]
    or alternatively in:
    [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Colors]
    But apparently they are not. Changes made to the custom color palette in Designer are not stored in the registry. Those values still remain FFFFFF.
    Does anyone know, where Designer stores user defined custom colors? Is there a 'secret' undocumented .ini-file I missed?
    Regards,
    Steve

    Does anyone know where the information added by Java reside?Essentially, in the directory.
    Is there any way to query this information using VC++ dll or some other way?Yes, there are operating system APIs for it. That's how Java does it.
    Does anyone know which windows dll or classes are used by Java to add these custom attributes
    I tried lot by digging into code by decompiling java NIO classes but could not get it.I would try looking up the Windows API myself.

  • HTML5 DOCTYPE in custom WPC web form

    Hello,
    we are implementing a custom WPC web form along following SAP documentation:
    http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-22253
    The new web form incorporates JS-Scripts from an open source project (Galleria.io).
    However, this JS-Application requires a HTML5 DOCTYPE, which needs to bedefined in the root of an HTML document. At runtime of the web form the HTML5 DOCTYPE is missing and the JS-Application is not properly running.
    I found following SAP note "1713259 - PRT support for HTML5 doctype" which focuses on this topic. It mentions two possible options:
    - Enable HTML5 DOCTYPE for entire portal environment,
    - ... or enable HTML5 DOCTYPE only for custom portal applications.
    However we only want to enable HTML5 DOCTYPE for the WPC component runtime.
    Is there any option to enable this via configuration in WPC... or any other ideas?
    Best regards
    Mario

    Hi Mario!
    You could personalize your form adding this at the begining of your XLST WPC:
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"> <!-- for example -->
    Also, you could set in your base iview portal template the document browser mode:
    Browser Document Mode – How to set the IE Compatibility View from server side.
    This forces use a determinated browser in portal.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards!

  • Customizing Workflow and Forms

    Hi
    I have a Approval Workflow with 3 outcomes: Approve: Revise and Reject. I added another outcome such as Revise.
    I find by default on one Approval Form in the Workflow using SPD. I need to add another Form which will send back the Comments to the Initiator to Revise the form and resend it back to the Approver.
    Kindly let me know for any pointers.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to create an form to get the users’ comments for the initiator approval.
    Per my knowledge, it’s by design that we can’t directly modify the approval task form in SharePoint 2013.
    As a workaround, you can create a new task content type to apply it to the task process action in SharePoint workflow.
    Also, you can try to create a new list to add user information and custom the list form, create a SharePoint 2013 Approval Workflow for this new list to assign the tasks to the corresponding users, then you can get their corresponding users’ comments for
    the initiator approval.
    For more information, you can refer to:
