Adding Custom OM infotype in Adhoc Query

Hi All,
I have created a custom OM infotype . This infotype contains only the description of job, i.e job notes . Below is questions on this:
1) When I am trying to add this infotype in infoset,then I am able to see this infotype in "related to object type" folder under TWO different relationship .Why its coming under relationship part. There is no relationship for this infotype .'
To include this in infoset do I have to select this infotype under both the relationship.?

Hi Vaibhav,
First, your question is not so clear:
You write that you are trying to add a custom infotype, which manages the job's description. Do you mean Infotype 1002? If so - this is not a custom Infotype - it's a standard one.
Second,if you want to enhance the infoset, this is done by SQ01:
Choose the relevant infoset by SQ01 and press the Change button
Choose "Edit" menu --> choose the "Change Info-Type Selection" entry
In the Popup window which appears, mark the checkbox for the relevant infotype

We have developed a custom infotype , which we had incldued in the adhoc query. when we generate output , it is showng codes instead of text . In the output filed , it is hwoing only vaue and Vale and text is diabled.
please let me know , how to add text in the out filed filed

But in the out put filed , when i click on the output filed , i am get three drop downs , only text , only value and valu & text.
Only value is enabled and other two ate disabled.
How to enable the othet two , i.e text only and value & text

Adding Custom Infotype to a Infoset

Hi,
I have created a Custom Infotype for OM with some custom fields.These fields need to be made available to the Infoset for Adhoc Query.
Any idea how this infotype can be added to the infoset?
or made available for Queries.

Here are the steps that I followed:
Enter the transaction code PPCI
Enter a four digit infotype number (9nnn) and an infotype name.
Select Field Infotype
Choose Infotype Create.
Choose Check environment to maintain the required entry in table T777I (Infotypes per object type).
Choose the Entry 'T777I' under the list of 'Table Entries' (This list is produced when you choose 'Check' on the First screen of the Transaction PPCI.
Press the 'Change' button and you will be taken to the 'Maintain Table Views' Transaction (SM30).
Press the Maintain button.
From the list of Infotypes locate the custom infotype created and select the entry for that.
Click on the 'Time Constraint' folder appearing on the left hand corner of the screen.
The screen for Change View Time Constraint would appear.
In the object type field put in: O,P,S whatever is relevant to your requirement.Also add the time constraint.
Save it and double click on the 'Infotypes per object type' folder (on the left hand side again).
Create a new entry here for your infotype and save it.
Come back to the Transaction PPCI and you are all set.
This is all I did and it worked.

Adhoc query custom field selection

Hi Experts,
In adhoc query, we have added a custom field and we find that it is giving correct output. However, we want to make the "selection" box appear and we don't know how to do it. Would you have instructions?
If we add standard/ready-made fields to a field group, both the selection and output boxes are already available but if we copy the standard to make a custom field, only the output box is available.

Where do we find this customizing field we need to select? We have tried accessing sq01 and changed a query we have created. We clicked on the basic list button and checked the checkboxes for list field and selection field. When we got to infoset query, the selection checkbox is still missing. Are we checking the right path? The infoset is also missing that checkbox.
We also got a suggestion here that maybe the problem is on the "extras" tab in SQ02 - that our field should have an entry there.

Adhoc query for OM infotypes

We have an adhoc query based on PNP logical database. But client wants to access OM infotypes data using that query. Can you guide me how we can do that?

If you are looking to add few fields, you can create custom fields in function group and write code for them . You can create the custom fields by following steps.
Go to t-code SQ02
Give your infoset name go to change ->
Click on "EXTRAS"
Click "Paper u201CCreate " Pop-up will appear
-Choose "Additional field" name as Zamnt1
Give long text & header
Like reference as u201Cpa0008-BET02u201D
Code in screen u201Csave it"
Go back to fields group and assign additional fields to your Fields group.
Donu2019t forget to generate. You can create as many as fields this way.

Infotype 0120 - changes in adhoc query program

Hi All,
I have to make some code changes for the std infotype 0102 - Grievances NA in the adhoc query. My requirement is :-
1) A range from 000-999 should be available for each Employee for the Grievance Number field. P0102-GRNUM.
2) If a record already exists for the employee for a particular Grievance Number -GRNUM(e.g - 467) and Stage- GRSTG(e.g.- Stage1), the system should not allow to enter another record with the same Grievance Number and Stage for the same employee.i.e. No duplication should be allowed. i.e only 3 records for 1 Grievance Number as there are only 3 stages.
Please advice me how to proceed for the same.

Its not getting clear that u want the changes for ADhoc query or in pa30.
if u want validations in adhoc query as u have mentioned in the question
u need not to go to a user exit.
In adoc query itself u can incorporate these changes
u can go to infoset of this query and write a abap code which checks the Infotype 102 for the grievance no.
If u want the validation on while creating the record then u have to use user exit ZXPAUD01 or can use BADI's also .

Adhoc query - Total payroll day issue on infotype 2001

Dear Expert,
I am working on the adhoc query and would like to generate the total number of payroll days taken by a particular employee.
E.g. Employee A has 4 leave record in Nov 2011
14-Nov, 16, Nov, 23 Nov, 25 Nov
When I select the reporting period between 1-Nov-2011 to 30-Nov-2011, the total payroll days generated by the adhoc query is only 1. I am not sure why. Please help

Might be remaining days are Non working days/Weekly offs/ Holidays falls..
You Better Check through PA30 Overview of Absence records, Whether the Days are deducted from Quota or not.

Text (T) symbol for field kostl not found in adhoc query selection

Dear Freinds,
We have developed a custom infotype , as per our requirement one of the field i have added is the Kostl field ( this i have created exactly the same way in infotype 0001).
I have to devlop a report using ADHOC Query based on this custom infotype , so i have developed a adhoc report ( selecting the logical database PNPCE option as it is not allowing for PNP), when i selecting the required feilds from the Custom infotype i can see for the field KOSTL field doesnt have the symbol(T) against the field . However for another ADHOC report when i am selecting from the infotype 0001 i can see the T symbol for the KOSTL . So i went and check in the custom type structur and transparent table as well , the search help etc is exactly same as that of the which are there for this field in the standard infotype 0001(Kostl). Because i have to display the description of the cost centre along with the kostl field , howeve iam able to get for Pernr descirption , for pernr iam able to see the T symbol against the field Pernr.
Please could any one guide why this field doesnt have the symbol T.

Why don't you the same data element of the KOSTL.
Eventhough you created your own infotype you can still use the stanadard data element.
If you use the standard datatype you will get those feature avalable

Adhoc Query report not working fine

Hi,
We have a customized infotype 9222 which stores the previous experience of the employees.
Now I have created a adhoc query in which I have added this infotype.The problem which I am facing is when I put the Indian company codes and run the report, the report is working fine . But when I put a Ukraine Company Code and then run the report ; the report does not picks the experience details of the employees and it shows Zero Yrs and Zero months.
I have checked in PA30 the experience details are maintained for the Ukraine employees.
Is their any setting in the system which allows the infotype for a particular company? or what may be the reason for the strange behaviour of the report towards a specific compant code. Please reply asap

Adhoc query for Training & Event mgmt

I have got a query in AD-HOC query.
After creating the Adhoc query using the join table functionality the resulting adhoc query does not results any out put.
What I have done is :
1.Created a user group through SQ03
2.Attched user to My user group
3.Created an infoset using join table functionality(SQ02).
4.Saved and generated the infoset
5.Added the user group to the infoset and than run the ADHOC query.
The table I have used to join is all PA table (For test pupose)
Though the purpose of the custom infoset is to join PA,OM and E rec infotypes, for testing purpose I have joined only PA infotypes.
Result:The adhoc query does not gives any out put instead it says no data could be read.
Could you please tell what else I need to do so that the custom infosets gives an out put.
Will greatly appreciate your help.

Problem with a Currency field in Adhoc Query - HR

Hi,
I have an Adhoc query that uses Custom infotype fields (Z infotype and z fields).
The currncy field also has a reference field in the infotype (of type waers).
Wehen we try to get the ouput of the Adhoc Query it gives following error:
The report cannot be generated because the internal description is invalid or incomplete, or because the selection screen is too large.
Regenerate the assigned InfoSet, and read the log. If the InfoSet is OK, make sure that at least one field is given as output.
If you used the 'Refresh' icon to start the query, use the 'Output' menu option to execute the query. This gives you a full screen display of the data.
If an output was generated, the query cannot work with actual data in the construction view. In this case, always use the 'Output' function to execute the query.
I have already tried a number of solutions:
1> Regenerate the infoset...
2> make the field as an additional field and write my own code for it (the error comes before the code as i kept a breakpoint but it stopped before that)
if i add other fields of this infoset instead of this field, then those appear in the output.
Any solutions ??

Can we show comments in adhoc query?

       Can we put comments in Adhoc query?
       I have a comment icon in infotype 9903.
       I need to fetch that particular comments and show in a query output. It is not a field.
       Can we do this? If yes, then please let me know how?

I did it sometime back. A bit complicated process.
Create an infoobject, manually enter the values "keyfig1" and "keyfig2".
Include this infoobject in the filters and restrict it using a "ready for input" variable.
Now create two formula variables.
Write a customer exit such that when you select "keyfig1", first formula variable's value should be set to 1 and other one's to 0.
Then in the query create two calculated key figures, multiply both with the formula variable. Also supress column (all active value == 0).
Then it will show the key figure which you have selected.

Adhoc query-Problem with Personnel no output field

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to run an adhoc query using a customized Info set(PNPCE logical database).
While running the query,we had selected Personnel no(from Payroll status P0003 table) as output field and Company code(from Org assignment P0001) as input field in the selection.
Problem is in the output field we are seeing the Personnel name details in place of Personnel no.Could anyone please suggest what could be the reason behind this and how to fix it.

Hi Sushil,
The default output for fields with a text and a value (Name = text, PERNR = value) is the text. You can change this by right clicking on the output box in Ad Hoc and selecting "Value". If you want both name and number, select "Value and Text".
You can also change this default to Value from Text if in Ad Hoc, you go to Edit --> Settings. On the last tab, change the radio buttion for output default to Value from Text. This will change it for all fields so you would see the eight digit number rather than the name of the position or org unit. Thus, you may want to keep it at Text and use the right click to change specific fields as needed.
By the way, it is usually best to utilize the personnel number field from IT0000-Actions, although it can be obtained from any infotype if you include that field in the field group when creating your infoset.

Adhoc Query error AQ_AD_HOC 221

Hi All,
I have added 7 fields with char1 as value in th it0077 group in the additional filed. My problem is while using the adhoc query output when i select only the infotype 77 fields i am getting the following error
Mesage ID: AQ_AD_HOC Message number: 221
Error when generatimg the report (see long Text).
but when i select any other infotype fields and also 77 infotype fields then its coming fine. I dont know where i m doing wrong.
I have used LDB PNPCE, and in the coding part of the additional fields i am using rp_provide_from_last.
Please let me know where i am going wromg.

Hi,
There may be many reasons for that issue. Can you please debugg the code to more deeper. Put break point in perform generate_report in the Fm AQ_INT_SAVE_QUERY_DEFINITION.
Procedure
If the selection screen is too large, you need to reduce the number of your selections.
Make sure that the assigned InfoSet is correct. The name of the assigned InfoSet is stored in the menu option 'Extras -> Template Information'.
Output at least one field. Otherwise you will not be able to save or generate reports.
If you do not have this problem, execute the query using the 'Output' function.
Otherwise, there is an error in the InfoSet Query.

Adhoc query----Selection

in the adhoc query, for a particular field in custom infotype which is used for selection, iam not able to get the text , but able to see only the value. (if i press F4)

Hello Novice,
Indeed text fields in query have never existed for all fields. In old releases if a
text field did not existed, customers had to create additional fields for that with their own coding.
As of release 46C a general method for identifying texts is available (not only for HR logical databases). It also evaluates the text based on DDIC information. Using this method it is possible to create
exceptions for text retrieval not only at field level (via customizing table TEXC_FLD), but also at data element level (TEXC_DE) and domain level (TEXC_DOM).
So with the new text identification in SAP query customers have the possibility of creating these missing text in an easy way, and also to define exceptions in case the text provided is not the desired one.
You can check the note 491403 'Identifying text in SAP Query' . This note describes where you can find documentation on indentifying text in the system and on how to proceed if text for a
field cannot be identified. If you ran the report RS_TEST_IDENTIFY_TEXT
you could see the result for field the fields. Please, choose "HR Class" upon executing for Text Recognition.
