Adding Digits of an integer

If i had an integer called total, and it was 12
How would I add the two digits together, to receive an output of 3.

I'm working on the same sort of programming exercise. I already figured out the caculations part but was having some trouble with some extra stuff and was wondering if anyone was around to help me out a bit.
for my exercise I have to make it so the program would terminate if the number entered was 0... (I need help with this one)
and
if the user enters a number less than 0, they should be told this is not allowed and asked to re-enter.
all that syntax screws me up.
thank you in advance

    Your re-added digital booklet probably ended up in the Books section of your library. Get Info., change the media kind to Music and add in the album & artist details.

  • Adding digital signature field with LC Designer vs. LC Digital Signatures

    Hi All,
    When digital signature field named "SignatureField1" is added to PDF document using LC Designer it appears as "form1[0].#subform[0].SignatureField1[0]" in Adobe Reader signatures tree.
    Same field added by LC Digital Signatures service appears as "SignatureField1" in the same tree.
    Why? What is the difference between those objects?
    LC Digital signatures ES2
    Adobe Reader 9.3.0
    Thanks, Yan

    Yan
    First off, there is no difference between the two signature field objects.
    I'll do my best to explain why there is a difference in how the signature objects are named in the Signature pane of Reader\Acrobat.  When you add the signature field using LC Designer, the object is defined in the underlying XML (XFA) that defines the form.  The  (SOM expression) you see in Reader (via the signature pane) matches the structure of the form.
    When you add a signature field to a form using LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES2, you are appending a signature field "on top" of a PDF form (the underlying XML has been rendered into PDF).  The signature field is not defined in the XML, therefore Reader\Acrobat do not display the same naming syntax.
    Does this help?
    Thanks

    Yes, you need a certificate to sign.
    You need a special one for yourself, one that also contains your private key.
    Your message is signed with your private key (actually encrypted with it), after that anyone can see you signed it using your public key.
    Encryption works the other way round: You encrypt it with openly available public key of the recipient, but only he will be able to decrypt it with his private key.
    BTW you can create your own certificate, using Keychain Access>Certificate Assistant. The disadvantage is that they are not automatically accepted as valid, since they are not listed in the X509Anchors keychain. You have (and whoever you deal with) manually import your (public) certificate into the Keychain X509Anchors as well. Double clicking the certificate gives you the option to do so.

  • Adding Digital Signatures to PDFs

    Hi all,
    Sorry if I am posting this question in the wrong location, but hopefully someone who sees this message will still be able to answer or point me in the right direction. I did perform a search and could not find a definitive answer.
    There are documents in my company that will be circulated for approval and we would like to apply digital signatures to indicate that certain personnel have reviewed these documents. I have Acrobat 3D version 8.1.5 and I know I have the capability with that version to add digital signatures to a PDF. My question is: Is that true of all versions of Acrobat? If not, can anyone tell me the most recent version of Acrobat that has this capability. I won't necessarily be the one creating the PDFs; thus, the question.

  • Adding Digital Signature Fields to Multiple Pages in a Document

    Hello,
    I have a batch processing java script which will place digital signature fields in a drawing.
    Sometimes the drawing could have multiple pages and the script needs to place the digital signature fields onto each page.
    The problem with the script I have is that the digital signature fields are only appearing on the first page.
    Can anyone please provide assistance with modifying my script so that the digital signature fields appear on every page?
    // Drawing signature field rev 0
    var numpages = this.numPages;
    for (var i=0;  i < numpages; i++) {
    var a = this.addField("Checked", "signature", i, [1783, 174, 1724, 198]);
    var b = this.addField("Designed", "signature", i, [1783, 149.5, 1724, 173.5]);
    var c = this.addField("Design App", "signature", i, [1783, 125, 1724, 149]);
    var d = this.addField("Proj App", "signature", i, [1783, 101, 1724, 125]);
    Thanks very much.

    Just index the field names:
    var numpages = this.numPages;
    for (var i=0;  i < numpages; i++) {
    var a = this.addField("Checked"+i, "signature", i, [1783, 174, 1724, 198]);
    var b = this.addField("Designed"+i, "signature", i, [1783, 149.5, 1724, 173.5]);
    var c = this.addField("Design App"+i, "signature", i, [1783, 125, 1724, 149]);
    var d = this.addField("Proj App"+i, "signature", i, [1783, 101, 1724, 125]);
    Tho there's no point in signing each page in the same document, tho I also see engineering folk do this. They just love signing every data sheet.
    And the result will not be good. Each signature will cause a problem/alert for the previous signatures.
    Care to indicate your engineering company?

  • Adding digital IDs

    I have just upgraded to Acrobat Standard v8.0. Until now I have been running Acrobat v4.0
    I have been attempting to add digital IDs created in v4.0 using the .apf profiles generated by that version. However I am receiving the following error message:
    Could not open digital ID file with password provided. Try again.
    I have confirmed that I am using the correct passwords by running v4.0 and logging in under self-sign signatures using the appropriate passwords.
    Can anybody offer any advice?
    Thanks
    Mike

    What I found that worked is to enter the password, press the TAB key (don't click finish), re-enter the password  AND THEN click finish.  What appears to be happening is that the confirmation password box never appears. By hitting the tab key you are going into that invisible field and confirming the password. This has now worked for me on several documents.

  • Adding decimal to an integer

    I'm reading 3 digit integers back from a controller in the form of XXX. I need to format them to the form XX.X
    Example
    245 should read 24.5, or 345 should read 34.5.
    Besides the easiest method of just dividing bt 10 is there a labview function that will place the decimal in my integer number where I need it to be?

    No, division is just fine.Well, you could multiply with 0.1 instead
    If it is just a string: insert a dot char after the 2nd char (as most "controllers" managed by VISA functions deliver strings...).

  • Wireless connectivity no longer available after TWC adds digital phone service

    Hi All,
    My problem is that my wireless Internet connectivity is no longer available after Time Warner Cable added digital phone service to my existing TV and broadband Internet service.
    Prior to having the digital phone service added, my set up was a Motorola Surfboard cable modem connected to my Linksys WRT54G wireless router, with three computers (two Win XP desktops and one Win 7 laptop) wired to the Linksys router. I had wired Internet connectivity on all three computers. Importantly, I could also access the Internet wirelessly from the laptop instead of using a wire.
    AFTER having the digital phone service added, my set up is the same except that now an Arris Touchstone Telephony Gateway (TG862G) has replaced the Motorola Surfboard cable modem. I still have wired Internet connectivity on all three computers. However, now I cannot access the Internet wirelessly from the laptop. This is a real problem in that often others in the house need access to the wireless network as well.
    I should also mention that (from a wired connection) I cannot access the Linksys router any longer via 192.168.1.1. Now, the Linksys router seems to be "invisible," almost as though it were a pass-through device. I can access the Arris gateway at 192.168.0.1 (for what it's worth), but not the Linksys router.
    Also, not sure this is important, but some time ago (when my wireless was working) I had configured the Linksys router so that it wouldn't broadcast the SSID. Through the Win 7 "Network and Sharing Center" I have tried to "manually connect" to my (hidden) wireless network. The message indicates that my hidden network already exists, but I still can't connect to it.
    I've seen a few potential remedies involving power cycling the gateway and modem in certain sequences, setting the gateway's NAT mode to Bridged, etc., but nothing has worked so far. Time Warner Cable's only advice is for me to purchase (yet) another service so that the gateway can provide the wireless access, but I since my Linksys router worked before I'd rather stick with that method (and avoid yet another charge).
    I would be very grateful for any help you could provide for this problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Don't hide your SSIDs
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/28653/debunking-myths-is-hiding-your-wireless-ssid-really-more-secure...
    2. I assume the Arris is also a wireless router. Use inSSIDer to find the best non-overlapping, non-interfering wireless channels. Change the wireless channels on both the WRT54G and Arris if necessary.

  • Fillable forms with digital signatures on SharePoint

    We have a Document Set content type on SharePoint that contains some fillable PDF forms. Users are filling it out and adding digital signatures. Some users have Acrobat Pro and some have Readers. Once in a while users get the error "The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available." and the form becomes unusable. After reading some forums I learnt that it happens if there is a major change in a PDF file. My users are doing the following: check-out a file from SharePoint, fill some fields, digitally sign and check back in. Does this qualify a major change in a PDF file? Is there any way to fix it or should we simply stop using PDF files for this?

    Yes, you should use Acrobat to enable the forms. A form enabled with Forms Central doesn't include the digitial signature usage right, but one enabled with Acrobat Pro does.

  • Convert Word to PDF with a Digital ID?

    Hi,
    I am looking for a solution to automate the process of adding Digital ID's to PDF's. Whenever I create a PDF from a Word Document with the Adobe PDF converter plug-in for Word I want it to add a Digital ID (certificate security) to that particular PDF. But as far as I can tell it is only possible to add password security to the PDF working this way.
    So as things are now, I have to add the digital ID after I created the PDF, this is what I want to avoid. Is there a way to add a Digital ID while I convert the Word Document to PDF. Or a plug-in that does the same thing with only one click. Something to keep in mind is that the Certificate will always use the same Digital ID.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for replying.
    This is probably what I'm looking for but I think I'm going wrong somewhere.
    I tried changing the conversion options more specifically the "Adobe PDF security" setting.
    This setting gives me 2 possibilities:
         - Reconfirm security for each job
         - Use the last known security settings
    These are the only settings I can find regarding security settings. But both work with the password encrypting security.
    Do keep in mind that I'm using Acrobat Pro 8.0.
