Adding DVD movies to desktop from IPhone

I bought DVD movies that came with digital copies that I downloaded to my laptop. I then synced the laptop to my IPhone and added the movies. Is there a my to add these movies to my desktop using my IPhone?

I understand you are not trying to get anyone in trouble, but FYI, what you paid for when purchasing these DVDs is a license to use this content only - a use license. The same applies when purchasing music on a CD, or electronically via the iTunes Store. We don't own the DVD content, or the music that we purchase. We purchase a use license only, which includes restrictions.
Although you are not trying to do anything illegal, and it isn't illegal to make a copy of a DVD that you purchase, the problem lies when changing the format of the original DVD content.

If you weren't able to get this content "ripped" correctly, you used a poor utility for this purpose. There are a number of these utilities to choose from, and as with anything else, some are better than others.
Does whoever you acquired this utility from include any technical support and if so, have you contacted them?

I want to move voice memos from my iPhone to Windows desktop. I saw several posts about syncing them to iTunes. Thats not what i want. I want to copy them to my desktop not just sync to iTunes. Unable to copy - paste from iTunes either.

impossible to do anything simple on iTunes, I managed to wipe all my recorded voice memos when I tried to move my files from iphone to desktop, instead they just "sync" I never got the point with sync, why can't you just export files and import files from desktop, simple as that why make it so complicated

ITunes Movie Rentals disappear from iPhone a day after transfer from Mac

OK, this has happened to me twice now. Here's the scenario:
I have a long, international flight. I rent multiple movies so that I can have films to watch both to and from the destination.
I browse for the movies on my Mac (OS X Lion, current release)
I rent four movies on my Mac.
I then transfer them, one at a time, to my iPhone--a 4S with 5.0.1. (I do this because in earlier releases, a movie would sometimes disappear if I tried to sync more than one movie at a time).
After it's done, I see four movies listed on myiPhone in the Videos app.
About 2 days later, I look at iTunes and decide to load some audiobooks. I look at the Movies tab and it shows only one rental movie on the iPhone, the last movie transferred. The other three movies are nowhere: they do not show as on the Mac or on the Phone.
I check the phone. Only the one movie is present.
At no point did I start to play any of the movies. It appears that the first three rental movies transferred disappeared from the phone as if they expired 24 hours after the transfer.
And--just to make it fun--this is the second time the exact same scenario has played out. I had a long international flight at the end of September and on iOS 4 the same thing happened before that flight. All but the last movie transferred vanished from the phone after a day.
Anyone else run into this issue?
FYI: I have contacted support to see if I can get a credit for the "lost" rentals. But as of now I'm afraid to transfer rented movies to my phone.

Yep. Me too. Getting ready to fly overseas. My iTunes on my computer says they are on my iPad, but they aren't. How does that work when I can't 'find them' anywhere on my iPad?

Move SMS texts from iphone 3g to Iphone4

Morning all. A nice delivery man has just brought me a shiney new Iphone4 which I would like to fill up with my old previous SMS text messages. The rest of the stuff I can sync without an issue. Is there any way of copying the data from one to the other?

so I found this
Extremely simple and easy method to solve (The SMS Transfer) issue
I wanted to share with the community
well here it goes
Step One : Backup both your iPhones
Step Two : Search and download iTools for iPhone free download (for PC or MAC)
Step Three : Open itools & plug in your iphone 3GS
Step Four : Your iPhone will be detected & all details would be displayed on the left Panel
Step Five : Click on File Sytems
Step Six : On the right Panel click on filesystem (Jailbreak)
Step Seven : Go to filesystem/user/ library/sms
Step Eight : On the far right panel, you will see some very important folders and files
Step Nine : Simply Select All, Right Click and copy em in a new Folder may be on the desktop                     (Name it iPhone 3GS SMS)
Step Ten : Disconnect iphone 3GS and connect iPhone 4
Step Eleven : Repeat the steps from Five to Nine (Only copy them in a new folder and name it                      iPhone 4 SMS. (Note : We dont need these files n folders, but just in case                            something goes wron, we can replace them back)
Step Twelve : Copy the files n folders from the directory on the desktop named iPhone 3GS SMS
                     and paste the in the iphone 4 here (the program will ask wether to replace                             existing files n folders, in some chinese lingo, but u can see Y and N on each                           buttons so click on the left (Y)
And thats about it, You are done, As simple as that, All the SMS on the iPhone 3GS are transfered on the new device.

Caution : This worked like a charm for me, but it may not be the same for everyone so just in case anything goes wrong you can replace the previously saved files n folders in iPhone 4 SMS directory back. I am very clear, I am not responsible for any loss or damage, Do at your own risk.

Can I flip the movie I take from iphone 5 to save it on DVD ?

I take movie from my iphone 5 and when I burn it on DVD, the movie appear flip on left or right side. Can you tell me if possible to change direction on my computer before to burn movie on DVD to be correct on TV ?
I have to take movie on one direction to have it correct after on my computer ?

If you Edit the video in IMovie or another video-editing program there are tools that can Filip the picture in the right direction for your needs!

You can't drag and drop between iDevices. You need to use iTunes and your computer.

Can't recognise .MOV files sent from iPhone 3Gs

I get the following message when trying to open quicktime .MOV files on my MacBook emailed from my brother's iPhone 3Gs: 'The document “IMG_0163.MOV” could not be opened. The movie is not in a format that QuickTime Player understands.' It's been happening all week. Previously had no problems. What gives?

Try opening it with Quicktime 7. Look in your Utilities folder for Quicktime 7. If you don't have Quicktime 7 installed here's how to install Quicktime onto Snow Leopard:

Cannot move any icon from iphone 4s

I just bought an iphone 4s white 16gb a few days ago. How come none of the icons/apps can be moved from one page to another? Not even toggling when you press and hold it lightly? I am not even able to download from the apps store? Anyone who had faced the same issues and was able to resolve it? Please share. Thanks in advance!

Hi justin. Thanks again for the reply. Yes my ip4s does not have passcode lock, restrictions and reset.
I tried restoring back from my ip4 so that all my apps will be in my new iphone. But i noticed that i cannot move any icons and cant download from the app store plus i cannot locate restrictions, etc.
So i tried restoring again but this time "set up as a new phone". I now have the restrictions, reset, etc and i can move my icons but all my saved games went back to level 1.
I read from the internet that i can restore back up from my old ip to my new ip so i can still have my apps. But it's frustrating not to have complete options in the settings and not able to move any of the icons.

Yes. AT&T deactivated the SIM that was in your iPhone when you switched phones. You will have to go back to AT&T and get things switched back.

How do I move existing notes from iphone to my computer?

So, I have 2000+++ notes on my iphone's notes app and I wanted to transfer them to my computer...
Unfortunately, looking at what I've been able to find so far, there exists only software that needs cash to work (mobileSyncBrowser) or software that does not interact with existing notes (Evernote). ****, even google sync has its own separate account disjointed from the notes already in my iphone. If I wanted to sync them via google I'd have to copy and paste them one by one.
Is there really no way to export all my notes en masse to my computer as text files (for free)? Or somehow be able to extract the notes files from my backup?

With a Mac, notes can be synced with the Mail app notes feature. I believe the same is supported with the Outlook notes feature with Windoze.

Move calendar info FROM iphone TO windows calendar

Apologies if this has been answered. I've spent ages googling and searching here, but I can't seem to find an exact answer.
Although I may be the exception to the rule:
1. I do not want all of my windows mail contacts in my iphone (2nd gen). Therefore those have been input manually.
I did take the time to set up my 2009 calendar ON MY IPHONE. My windows calendar (vista home premium) has not been used.
It is possible to moe my calendar info TO WINDOWS CALENDAR from the IPHONE? I can see syncing info, but it seems to override the phone, and on music etc...not the calendar.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Trying to move my photos from iPhone to my mac

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro and I have had an Iphone for quite sometime. I had a Mac before and it was stolen so Im having a problem getting al the photos from my "photos" app to download on to the Mac only the pics that I took in "camera" will download. What do i need to do?

You should be able to use tools like dropbox (upload all photos to it, and download them on your comptuer) or simply email photos to yourself. It may be problematic with large amount of photos unfortunately
Note that pictures in the iPhone (which were previously synced from computer) are not in full size - they are scaled down to take up less space on your iPhone.
