Adding file names so an Encore Slide Show

I've installed Encore 2.0 as part of the production studio. I want to build a DVD which includes a load of Family assets such as stills and video.
I have worked out how to do everything I want in encore EXCEPT I would like to overlay the name of the jpg on the slideshow. When my brother scanned in the photos he (kindly) gave them all meaningful names. In Ulead DVD picture show you can include the filename in the slideshow but I can't find a way of doing this in Encore (or premier).
Is this possible?

You can do it in Encore 2.0.
Select all the slides in the slideshow, then go to Properties and turn on subtitles with the Name property checked. The name of the slide will now appear as a subtitle over the slide (make sure to enable subtitles when you link to the slideshow).

if you can have XML achvived files you can use
standard
processing mode: Archive
with one swich you can set the timestamp mode
yyyMMdd-hhMMss-SSS_.

Adding a Flash Web Menu & Flash Slide Show to MasterPage

Hi all I need to know how to add a Flash web menu or Flash Slide Show or any other Flash content to a SharePoint 2013 Server Enterprise Master Page. I need the Flash menu only at the Master Page. Because when a new page is added then the menu will be automatically

When consider about this matter where should I put the SWF file. Is it within a specific library or else?

Why can't I seem to add music from iTunes to a slide show in iPhoto?

In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
Then quit and restart iPhoto.
Credit to user keysandfood who figured that one out.

RFC TO HTTP receiver scenario.Adding file name to HTTP receiver

Hi All,
Scenario is ZBAPI ->XI-> HTTP conncetivity to EXternal Partners .
ZBAPI sends the Partner data informtaion to XI . I need to create a Partnerdata xml in XI and pass it to HTTP Connectivity (Certificates ) to External Partners
Connectivity is working but I need to add the time stamp to the Partner data xml in the HTTP Receiver .
I dont get the time stamp in ZBAPI
I checked many blogs to create UDF of getfilename, dynamic configuration , but here there is no FTP sender channel .
Can someone help me in giving ideas as hope to assign the time stamp in runtime to HTTPS Receiver Channel .

Hi Vara,
In your question you actually mentioned three different communication methods (HTTP, HTTPS and FTP), but only one of them can really work with files and it is the FTP adapter. Moreover, what you need is the Receiver FTP Communication Channel, not the Sender one (as you need to deliver your message to an external system, not to collect it from there). What you need to do is find your Receiver Communication Channel, go to Advanced tab and mark "Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes", as well as the File Name (that appears once you mark the first one). Then, in your message mapping, you just put the current timestamp to the respective dynamic configuration parameter. Find an example of how to make the whole change [here|http://www.****************/Tips/XI/ASMA/Index.htm].
However, if I misunderstood you and you need to use the current timestamp in the message body instead of the file name, it will be even simpler. In this case, just go to your Message Mapping and in the target field, put the "currentDate" function from the "Date" group, then double click on it, click the "extended view" button and put your expected date and time format.

Adding music to a PSE 11 slide show

When I try to add MP3 music to a slide show in PSE11, I get an error message that I am missing a codec. I have installed two codecs without any success. Wil this problem go away if I use tthe premier version?

Flash Output From Encore Slide Show has pauses on each slide

During the transitions between each slide, (naturally that is where the bit rate will be the highest) the audio stops then resumes quickly. This is completely unacceptable but I have found no way around it. I have tried different quality settings but there is no change.
I also noticed when I have tried to open the HTML file that is generated with each Flash attempt, I am unable to open it or double click on it to open the Flash show. I can only open the show by clicking on the SWF file that is generated.
If Encore had accomplish a clean encode to Flash, I would need the HTML file to function for the link to play the SWF file.
Are the play issues I have described rather common when using Encore to product the flash files?
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I would like to incorporate Encore in this way if it can produce reliable Flash based shows.

This is how Encore's slideshow works when you export to SWF, due to each slide being a separate FLV file.
The only way around it is to create your slideshow in Premiere, and then export it as AVI and import that into Encore.
Not sure why your HTML doesn't work. It's standard boilerplate SWF object and embed tags.

How do I make a slide show for a Mac that is not a video file?

I made a .mov slide show at "Display Quality" using iPhoto on my Mac Mini 2011 and it was 334 MB file size. When I made a similar show using Photodex ProShow Gold on my Windows PC (Windows executable file) it was only 14 MB and of equal quality (actually slightly higher resolution). I beleive the differnce in file size is because iPhoto is exporting a movie while ProShow is not. Is there any way to get the file size of a Mac slide show to a resonable size, yet retaining the quality one can get on a Windows PC? I would like to place the slide show on my web-site.

PE9- Saving slide shows - always stops working at 94% of .wmv file

I have a 40 minute slide show with music. When I output to .wmv file, PE9 always stops working at 94% of download, whether I use the maximum or the high resolution settings. I have a powerful computer with all the bells and whistles. I'm disapointed that E9 does not perform as advertised. Any solutions or comments beyong what's in the release notes? Most probably Premiere Elements is causing the rotation you are experiencing
That is because the recent versions of Premiere Elements do not recognize the rotation indicator set in a photo file. However the Photoshop Elements Organizer does recognize a photo orientation indicator set within the photo file when displaying thumbnails and displaying the photo file.
At this point for this slide show,
it might be simplest to initiate an edit in Photoshop Elements of each of the portrait orinetation photo files that are in this slide show -- so that the pixels within the photo file itself can be rotated and saved as a new photo file. .
In the future,
-- it would probably be simpler to multiple select thumbnails in the Organizer and rotate those photo thumbnails (once 90 degrees and then a second time back in the opposite direction 90 degrees).
-- most cameras that set rotation indicators in a photo file also have an option not to set that indicator which then usually results in portrait orientation photos displaying sideways in the Elements Organizer until you rotate them yourself. (to me this is a second choice approach but it is a possibility)

File name showing

I have a page i created in iWeb. I have the pictures showing the file name in iWeb, but for some reason they are not showing up when i publish them. I want to have the actual file name of the picture to show on my web page?

Open the Inspector/Photos/Slideshow/Make sure you have "Show captions" selected

Music Trouble with Slide Show

I have used the slide show many times and have always had success with adding music from iTunes easily.
I have recently upgraded with the software update and included in that update was an iTunes update. I also updated the iPhoto recently, since creating the last slide show.
Today I have been trying to create a new slide show and add some music that I added to iTunes specifically for the slide show. All I get is a spinning disk and no response in iPhoto. The computer is not 'frozen' and I can access and use other applications while the disk spins in iPhoto, but iPhoto is stalled. I have had to force quit several times.
Any ideas? The iPhoto is 4.0.3 and the iTunes is 5.0.1. I am running on an eMac from last year.

It may mean that there's another preference file in your User Preferences folder that is incompatible with iPhoto. I ran across this troubleshooting method a while back.
Trouble Shooting Preferences
Go to HD/Users/Your_name/Library. Move the Prefs folder (in its entirety) to the desktop. Start iPhoto. Determine if problem is fixed.
If the problem IS fixed, then go to the new Prefs folder that the OS will have created and open it up. Except for those items that are obviously not related, move the contents to the old Prefs folder on the desktop, replacing what had been there. When in doubt, move the item. The worst thing that can happen is a harmless "alert" message. Then, trash what remains of the new folder. Finally, move the old (but modified) Prefs folder back to the library.
If the problem is NOT fixed, trash the new Prefs folder and move the old one back to its original location.
Otherwise you might want to reinstall the 10.3.9 COMBO updater followed by a permissions repair and reinstall iPhoto 4 from scratch and update it. If you do reinstall V4 you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder.

Add file name script not working in CS3

I have this wonderful script (written by Brian Price) back in 2004 for PS7 that adds the file name to an image ( I use it for adding file names to small images to be used in a slideshow). It works great ion Photoshop CS, but when I try to use it as part of a batch action in CS3 it stalls on line 9. OIt works fine when run on just one image in CS3 . . . it just stalls when run as part of a batch action!
Any help GREATLY appreciated!

Ugh. There are basically three people here, who show up repeatedly and relentlessly, always eager to explain that it wasn't Adobe's fault at first. (FTC regulations require them to disclose that they're compensated by Adobe.) I'm sure that even the actual authors of these applications don't like that first line of defense as it ultimately makes Adobe look bad, diluting useful feedback. Yes, we also file bug reports and yes, this bug was reported several times ever since at least CS5. Also, no reasonable user is too stubborn to shorten source file names, and that bug isn't the real issue -- it's that Adobe's applications (like this Encore example) simply freak out and crash over a well-known, clearly identified bug and then give no guidance as to what happened, or how to resolve it. So Adobe customers spend hours trying to find the answer -- around the distractions of those three guys -- and increasingly lose faith in the Creative Suite.
Stan, thanks for a concrete question that could lead to diagnosis. The file name that caused Encore to crash at the transcoding stage was not too far into the directories on my media drive, and named: "KIMIKO ISHIZAKA - Goldberg Variations BWV 988 - 16 - Variatio 15 a 1 Clav. Canone alla Quinta__44k-16b (with leading silence).wav" Once I halved the length of the filename (notably, while leaving in the spaces and dashes and underscores), it was smooth sailing. So, you could simply rename any of your audio files to that, import the asset, and try to transcode at final output to see what happens. Will be curious to know what you find, thanks!

Problem using itunes music in iphoto slide show

When creating a slide show with iPhoto, I cannot use my iTunes music anymore. I can see the list in the music window settings but there is no way to get access to it, either by directly double clicking on the title or by creating a dedicated playlist to the slide show.
Thisproblem seems to have happen after one of the updates of either OSX, iphoto or itunes as I have been using that feature previously and it did work well.
Anybody facing the same problem?

Can you see your iTunes library in other aoolications, for example in Mail, when you try to send an audio attachment?
I the iTunes library is missing in all applications from the Media Browser, try to reorganize the iTunes Library in iTunes
Main menu bar: File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library
Quit iTunes and relaunch it.
Quit iPhoto and relaunch it.
