Adding Foxtel as a device in IR remote

How do I add a Foxtel IQ box as a device in the IR remote app for my Xperia tablet z? Foxtel does not appear as a manufacturer under the cable tv stb category. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply - I didn't have much luck with the codes. I however painstakingly created a custom Foxtel remote by programming each individual button....
That was fun... Seems like the only option.

Multiple Apple TV devices - Label on Remote app?

I have several Apple TV devices on my home network & I use Apple Remote app on my iPhone. Is there any way of labelling the different Apple TV devices listed in Remote app since I am having to do guess work to find the one that works on the Apple TV device I am using.

On the ATV menu itself there is an option to name the ATV.
Does that not do it for you?

Just wondering, what context is this in?
First up, is your iTunes account part of an iCloud account?
Secondly, if it's a free app, why don't they just download it? If they are having trouble finding it on the App Store, but you can find it easily, you can share the link for it via email with them, and if they view that email on their iPod they can just tap the link and it will open the App Store to that App for them, so they can download it themselves.
If you were to go to the Store settings pane and sign in with your iTunes account, that should only provide the possibility for download items from your iTunes account, such as purchased apps, music and movies. However, if you signed in, downloaded the app, and then went back and signed out of the account again, there shouldn't be any access apart from the app you downloaded. This is provided you sign in using the Store section of the Settings app, not the iCloud section.
One problem they will have if you download this in your account instead of theirs, in order to download updates for that app, they will need you to enter your iTunes password to download the updates. Doing that doesn't give them access to anythign to do with your account other than that update, but they will be unable to receive updates for it without your password. They would also likely be unable to sync the app onto their computer, as their computer would not be Authorised with your iTunes account.
If you can answer some of the questions I've asked, I may be able to suggest alternate ways for you get them the app on their device.

How to run windows mobile device center via remote desktop

I am developing mobile application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. I connect to my computer via remote desktop and my operating system is Windows Server 2012 R2. In order to test the application, I use mobile device emulator. I can run device emulator but
there occurs a problem when I try to cradle the device. I found out that this is because wmdc cannot run via remote desktop. Is there any way to run wmdc via remote desktop? I searched other topics but there is no solution to this.
Note : WMDC works when I directly use the computer not with remote desktop.

what mobile device are you refering to what email are you trying to add.
Remember POP is use by MS outlook and very few other applications. if your adding an email such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo, aol, and many Internet provided email account they will be IMAP.

LMS 4.1 -- Adding larger amount of devices ( 10) results in webUI freeze and not collecting Inv/Conf-Data

Hi all,
with LMS 4.1 running on solaris 10 I discovered the follwing.
Adding larger amount (>10) of devices one after the other (via DCRCLI) results in IC_Server no longer collecting the Inventory-Data nor ArchiveMgmt will collect Configs and after some while DataCollection (ANI) will get stucked in endless loop.
After that (navigating in CW2k-WebUI) the UI freezes.
Is that a known problem with Interprocess-Communication and Eventbus in LMS 4.1???
Any feedback is welcome.

After stopping the system I discovered that RmeDbEngine won't stop.
Issuing dbstop command also results in RmeDbEngine still running.
We had to kill process with signal 9.

Adding servers in to device collection in sccm 2012

When I add a set of servers in to device collection some times some of the servers are failed to add in the collection. Is there any solution for adding the previously failed server again to the device collection successfully?

Right click on collection and go to properties check whether added server is listed there or not? If no try to add the device manually by clicking yellow * button - put in server name ...next next and next very straight forward process.
The first thing you need to do id update the collection after adding the server then only it may reflect.
What you meant by server get failed to add? Is there any particular error?

TS4000 Tasks Disappear on Outlook 2007 (Windows 7) when added on iOS 6 device. They appear for a few seconds, then disappear.

I just installed iCloud for Windows on my Windows 7 PC, running Outlook 2007 and IE9. I have been dealing with an annoying issue for years with my iOS 6 devices, where I enter a reminder (which is sync'd to my MS Exchange server), and the reminder doesn't show up in Outlook until the day after the due date. I thought installing the iCloud control panel might help this issue. Now the task shows up for a few seconds, then disappears (from Outlook Today screen). It shows up in the task list if I click it, but not in my Today view, which is what I use to track my tasks. Any ideas why this disappearance may be occurring?

I had this same thing happen to me. I was using my brand new iphone 5 (texting and listening to music through the speakers) when it flashed the apple logo, stopped my music and brought me to the lock screen.

IPOD recognized by iTunes but songs cannot be added or removed from device

When connecting my iPOD to iTunes, it is recognized by the software. When I click on my iPOD on the menu, it lists all of the songs on the device but they are not bold and highlighted. When I try to delete a song(s) or add song(s) to the device from my Library or Purchased tracks it does not allow me to do so. It is almost as if there is some type of seceurity placed upon the device. Any advice?

Sounds like your iPod is set for automatic update, in that mode the songs are greyed out and inaccessible. A lock symbol at the bottom of the screen also means that you are in the 'Automatic' update mode
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

Adding a cisco pix device to CSM 3.3

I've been trying to add a cisco pix6.3 to a New CSM 3.3 server and it complains that my credentials are bogus, I can log in to the pix's PDM using the same credentials so I'm stumped, Is there a way that I can get a better idea of what is happening under the hood? I tried a debug and the server is clearly hitting the pix and it is responding but no go.
I figured it out, the csm was set to use the users login credentials instead of the device credentials.

Try Disable Java on Internet Options. This issue oculd be releated to Java version also.

You can connect any number of wireless devices. You do not need to switch off other devices.
Make sure you are connecting to your Homehub network and not BTWifi. Your Homehub network will be something like BTHomhub5-xxx

How can I identify new new added harddisk and its device file

I am confuse about it. It is about new harddisk map to device file issue.
Example:
I set up two harddisks by VMware SCSI 1:0 & SCSI 1:1, and I can see /dev/sdb /dev/sdc by "lvmdiskscan".
The puzzle is how can I distinguish this two new harddisk mapping device file if SCSI 1:0 & SCSI 1:1 are also 1GB of each?
Just like one which is right SCSI 1:0 map to /dev/sdb or /dev/sdc ? How can I check them using command?

Normally /dev/sda is SCSI ID 0, /dev/sdb SCSI ID 1, etc.
You can try lsscsi command, e.g.:
# lsscsi
