Adding Glossary items from chapter text.
Adding Glossary items one by one is painful.
Any short cut you can suggest to create them?

I'm preparing an iBooks version of a long French text for which I have a glossary in spreadsheet format. Unbelievably tedious to have to now enter all the items one by one. An import function would be awesome, and it would be straitforward to link definitions to target words in the text. No mind-reading required. :-)

Adding/Removing items from the main menu
I don't know why my iPod won't let me add or remove items from my main menu.
I go
Settings > Main Menu > (check what I want on the main menu) > Reset Main Menu > Reset
When I go out to the main menu again, nothing has changed.
Anyone else having this problem? Thank you for help!If you do a reset then you're resetting it to default. If you want to change anything ya just change it to on/and or off, then hit the menu button to go back. Don't go all the way to reset. Hope this helps.

White text on a white background when adding glossary definitions
I inherited an existing IBA file so I'm not sure how the styles were defined (and I've never really played around with custom styles or layouts) but I was hoping it wouldn't matter. The main color scheme is a dark background and light (white) text. Similar to the built in template 'contemporary'.
When I add a glossary term, i have my definitions in a separate (word) document. I copy/paste from the document into the glossary term area. When I paste, it's pasting white text. Background color of the glossary definition window is also white (not sure I can control that). My definition document is black text.
When I test the book, the little glossary dialog pops up when I touch/click on a word but again, it's white text on a white background.
Can I change the background color of the glossary dialog?
Is there a way to change all my glossary definitions from white text to black text?
When I create a test book using 'contemporary', which is also white text on a dark background, it does not have this problem.As I mentioned, when I used a built in template, like contemporary, it worked too. The problem only happened with the IBA that I was given. Perhaps the previous owner of the file had accidentally chosen Format/Advanced/Define Default Glossary Style when they had some white on white displayed and caused all the formatting for the glossary to be the same. I was able to fix it using that menu path.
I'm not sure what fixing it in the "source file" means. I was trying to fix it in the IBA file. Not sure where else I would have fixed it. -

Your form is not shared so I have not been able to access it. But I have updated mine. There are now two approaches, one that follows on from the above method and updates each drop down list in each row. The second updates a separate dataset that the drop down list is bound to. This second approach requires the remerge() method which can cause problems if your code has updates some form properties like a borders color as these will be reset, but the code is simplier and you will only have one list to maintain. The add button click code is;

Judging by you post I suspect you have loaded your computer down with a lot of crapware and that has caused it's problems. For example running antivirus apps on a Mac not only is a waste of time, it's a waste of money, system resources and will eventually create more problems that it solves. The good news is here are absolutely no, zero, zippo viruses for OS X. There are other types of malware available (for example trojans) however they differ greatly from viruses in that the use has to download and install them, whereas viruses do not work that way. OS X is not like MS Windows and is extremely secure.
My suggestion at this point would be to clean your computer of the crapware (including antivirus apps) however before doing so please download and install EtreCheck and post its report. Then we can see how your computer has been configured and begin to give you some advice on the next steps. -

Since you have got the data you want with the help of SharePoint Object Model, then you can focus on how to populate values and set an option selected in the Drop Down List.
With the retrieved data, you can populate them into the Drop Down List firstly, then set a specific option selected.

TEXT ITEM from different table
When a TEXT ITEM from different table exists in the DATA BLOCK,
and when after EXECUTE_QUERY (in trigger POST_QUERY) we issue

Insert item from library into text
I am wondering if anyone knows how to insert an item from a library into a text or graphics frame programmatically? Are items in the library referenced by their names or do they have unique IDs
I have a custom bullet that I have not yet converted to a font and I don't want to have to manually insert the bullet into each line of text I want. I have a tag where the bullet should go and I just want to replace the tag with the bullet.
I know this is pretty strange but I am sure someone has experience with this.

Can someone please help. In the flowchart, I am unable to drag a line from menu item to chapter markers. I get a circle with a line through it. I had to connect menu with chapter markers through the properties panel. The video asset for that chapter marker is not appearing in the box above the title of that menu?

Text Item from sales order required in order relevant billing

The scenario is that in the sales order there are 25 normal line items and then the 26th item is a text item.After this again line item 27 to line item 51 are again the same normal line items(1 to 25 repeated).The text item notifies that the items bellow are for some specific office
The scenario is :
1> The user creates a bill with ref to the Sales order.
2> He has to select from the selection list.Now as same 25 items are repeated before and after the text item in the sales order, the user sees each line item twice.But the text item in the sales order is not appearing in the order relevant billing.and hence he is not able to select the correct item.
3> what we want is that the text item from the sales order also appears in the selection list. But this item should not take pricing as mandatory.
How to achieve this.

Adding data from a text file into a JTextArea
I'm working on a blogging program and I need to add data from a text file named messages.txt into a JTextArea named messages. How do I go about doing this?
then you need to be more specific in what you need help with because those are two commonly used options for reading data in from a file. what have you tried? where is your code failing? what kind of errors are you getting? of course it looks like others in the forum have already reprimanded you for failing to post properly.
i have used both FileReader and the nio package for cfg and ini files which are both just txt files as well as massive data files. so tell me how they dont help you? -
Time machine "Exclude these items from backups" keeps re-adding my external drive
I have several external hard drives that contain data I wish to backup. With Lion I had them removed from the "Exclude these items from backups" list and all was well.
Since upgrading to Mountain Lion I have been not so lucky. I was able to keep one out of the list by turning off Time Machine, removing the disk from the list of items to exclude from backup, then turning Time Machine back on. I have one external drive, however, that will not remove. The steps I'md oing are:
Open Options under Time Machine
Select "FreeAgent" and click on the minus sign and it dissapears from the list.
Click Save
Open Options again and "FreeAgent" is back in the list.
If I turn off Time Machine and do these steps it still goes back in.
Anyone else having this problem?
ThanksTime Machine usually won't show a drive that's not conneted in that list.
Can you remove it from the list while it's connected?
If so, but it still comes back, the preferences file (where that's kept) may be damaged. Try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting. -

Can't Display any item from PersonDetailsVO in SummaryRegion
Using SSHR, OAF personalization I am trying to display some more fields in the
summary region like 'DateOfBirth' & 'FullName' from 'PersonDetailsVO'
I create the item with the below steps:
1) Click on the "Personalize "Summary Region"" link
2) Create a item under "Stack Layout: Summary Region" with message styled text
3) Add Export View Attribute as "FullName"
4) Add View Attribute as "FullName" (for other available field see PersonDetailsVO.xml file)
$per/java/selfservice/common/server/PersonDetailsVO.xml
5) Add View Instance as "PersonDetailsVO"
After creating the item, I can see the prompt only but without data !!
Adding any new item from any VO is the same, only items from AsgSummaryVO is working fine....
Workaround:
1) I added PersonDetailsVO to the Application Module file, SummaryAM.xml by adding the below lines:

Name="PersonDetailsVO"
ViewObjectName="oracle.apps.per.selfservice.common.server.PersonDetailsVO" >
</ViewUsage>
Still the same issue, we need to have many fields in the summary region like salary details and some person details .....
