Adding Line to 2 year contract.

I have a 2 year contract with Verizon. I'm already one  year into it and decided to add a line for my daughter. Will the contract end the same day for her as mine?

betchaaa it's awesome that you're looking to add a line for your daughter! 1tris is right on track, your contract will be different from hers. Yours will continue and she will have a 2 year contract started from the day she is added. To start the process, order online http://bit.ly/1d5WRSs  or visit a store in your neighborhood http://bit.ly/3SdsA .

  • Error when adding line items in a Contract

    Hi All,
Need your help regarding the following issue.
The business user is trying to edit (to add more line items/materials) a contract with customized T.Code ZGME31K.
Getting error "Enter rate USD / rate type M for 11/24/2009 in the system settings" MSG No. SG105.
However, the Vendor, Material all are maintained in the same currency i.e. USD.
So, not finding a scope of rectification in OB28.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Milan.

  • 500 Bonus Minutes for 1-Year Contract Extension?

I was contacted 3x by a customer service rep offering 500 bonus minutes and finally gave in. I was told that it would:
    Extend my contract by 1-Year
Not affect my plan or pricing at all
Not affect my plan or pricing at all when I purchased a new phone on a 2-Year contract
Not be added to a 2-Year contract extension thus, making it 3 years. They said it would be "absorbed" into the 2-Year extension.
    Is this accurate?

Bump - please help clarify Verizon!!

  • 2 year contract discount if adding a line

I am think about joining my g/f's verizon plan and moving to a family plan so I can get the HTC Incredible with unlimited 3G.  If we port my number from AT&T will I be eligible to get a discount on the phone for adding the second line?

When you add a line to your plan you can sign a new 2-year contract for that line.  At that time you will be eligible for 2-year pricing on a new phone.

  • Hi I Have A Prepaid SmartPhone Right Now With Verizon For About 7-Months So Far. I Have Always Paid On Time No Missed Payments Good Standing Account, I Tried To Switch Over To A 2-Year Contract With Verizon And They Wanted A $400 Deposit For Only 1-Line.

Hi I Have A Prepaid Smart Phone Right Now With Verizon For About 7-Months So Far. I Have Always Paid On Time No Missed Payments Good Standing Account, I Tried To Switch Over To A 2-Year Contract With Verizon And They Wanted A $400 Deposit For Only 1-Line. Is There Anyway I Can Use My Excellent Payment History With There Prepaid Department To Switch To A 2-Year Contract And Not Have To Pay The $400 Deposit. And This Is Due To The Fact I Have No Credit History Whatsoever

Since you have no credit history, my guess is you would need at least a year of on time payments, and I'm not sure a pre-paid account would qualify as you can stop at any time.
You didn't specify your age, but getting started int he credit world is not easy - you may try applying for a gas card, or a credit card, and USE them, pay them off each month - and expect to take a year or more to establish a record.

  • If I enter into a 2 year contract, after I pay the initial $199/299, are there any additional monthly fees added to account?

I currently have 2 smart phones and 1 dumb phone on my account, the smartphones were bought in 2011 & 2012, the dumb phone is even older than that, so they are all off contract. I'm looking to upgrade 1 (or both) of the smart phones. I'm currently paying $40 access fee on each smart phone, and am on the More Unlimited Talk/Text/3GB $60 plan.
I was wondering, If I enter a new 2 year contract for a new phone, and pay the initial $199/299, is there any additional charges added to the monthly bill? Or will it remain the same as now?
Also, If were to instead go for the edge program, would there be any additional fees added to monthly other than the ~$33 edge fee?
    Thanks!

You are overpaying now by $10 on each smartphone. There is an off contract month to month discount on smartphones on More Everything plan.
If you upgrade, you are no longer eligible for the discount, so you price will be the same you are paying now $40 for each smartphone.

  • Added custom date fields at contract;need to trigger mail using those dates

    Hi,
II have added 14 custom fields in the service order quotation for handling waranty start date and end dates capturing for the maximum of 7 years contract.
Then its usual yearly action of the waranty team to put the dates in those fields.
The first set of 2 input fields will be filled at the quotation creation itself; rest the set of 12 fields will be updated in this 7 years time.
My requirement is such that to the capture all the waranty end dates filled in the input fields and trigger a mail 30 days prior to that days.
    Example : I have contract from 01/08/2004 to 31/07/2010.
Then my waranty startdate / end date can be filled by waranty team as 01/08/2004 to 31/07/2005 in the waranty first year.the i need to trigger a mail to waranty team on 01/07/2005.
For the second year if we have dates filled as 01/08/2005 to 31/07/2006; then to trigger mail on 01/07/2006.
I have tried using ACTIONS but couldn't get much help.
As a work around thinking for a report to fetch the contract for that Trans.type and check the dates with the present date + 30 and collect those to perfrom the respective actions. This is workaround.
Tried using the DATE TYPES creating 7 different DATE TYPES and assigning the ( end dates - 30 ) to that manually upon save.
and using this DATE TYPE along with the action definition can we acheive ?  but it too will be work around.
How to acheive this one. It became critical now in the project.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Satish Akkina

    Hi,
In your scenario, you don't need synchronous email facility.
Probably you can create a z table and maintain all required dates in this table (before saving your transaction somewhere you would have to read your custom fields and save them in this table along with object ID/GUID). Then create a report that would read dates from z table and then send emails to your warranty team. Schedule this report in background with frequency of once day.
    Hope that helps.
    Regards,
    BJ

  • Want to open a 2 year contract

i'm tired of my father complain about the high cell phone bill so i plan to sign a 2 year contract. i want to get an iphone 4 but i am not due for an upgrade until october of this year. right now under my father's plan, i have 5000 texts a month which i've been going over recently. i've never had internet on my phone. so if i get my own plan, i'd like to have unlimited (or more than 5000) texting and unlimited web. i don't talk on the phone too much, but as long as i can have free calls to my parents, i should be fine. about how much would this cost me?

The lowest allowance of voice minutes on an individual plan is 450; add unlimited texting and an unlimited data plan, and it will be $59.99 (Talk & Text, 450) + $29.99 for data, $90 plus taxes and fees which vary based on where you live, say $10 average, so you are looking at around $100 a month to be on your own.
If that's too steep, perhaps you can OFFER to pay for your line and the texting and data on your parent's plan. That will be $29.99 for the unlimited data, $9.99 for your line, and then whatever texting package you want to add on. If the 5000 is not enough (that's a $20 add on), then for $10 more, you can have unlimited texting on ALL lines of the family plan, so you 'd be looking at $70 for your portion of the bill. Off to pay for that, and see if Dad stops complaining??

  • Employee Discount without 2 year Contract

I came to Verizon from ATT, where I had Costco Employee discount.I came to Verizon with my paid phones, signed up on Share plan and same employee discount to apply. After 2 months they removed employee discount because I'm not on 2 years contract. I wonder where does it say that on Verizon website?

If that's true it's new to me. You do realize 15 GB is $100 now not $110. I'd get that changed. You do get a $25 discount for each line off contract that's why they are $15 instead of $40. You still should be getting the work discount. Unless they've changed policy or something. Anyway I'd keep the off contract discount instead of being on contract and getting the work discount if you have to choose.

  • Can I change my 2-yr contract to a 1-year contract?

Hello all, I've used this site before but I can't seem to my remember my username. Anyways I received my iPhone 5 October 3rd, and paid for it October 1st (meaning the phone was paid for, my deposit paid, and the contract is done) now I've decided that I should probably go with a one yer contact IF this means my eligibility for a new phone is one year instead of two. I'm a new customer to Verizon and I like the iPhone 5 and all but I don't intend on staying with it very long because I'm sure Android will have something much better than this next year.
So thank you for the replies and have a great night/day!
Oh yeah, I was thinking of adding insurance as well but I guess I need someone from Verizon to explain it to me if possible. I saw somewhere while I was putting in the order for my phone that I had 14-days to add insurance and that the insurance cost $9.99 monthly. So does that mean if I put insurance on my phone, what exactly does it cover? I just switched over from Sprint with a two 2-year contracts, both with insurance and the insurance ended up just being a waste of money since they didn't cover anything anytime I broke my Palm Pre.
So thank you again and I look forward to the replies.

You paid for 2 year pricing on a phone, there is no switching to a different contract. As far as I know, Verizon Wireless only does 1 year contracts right now for Assumption of Liability processes anyways.  And if you add insurance (you have 30 days, not 14) for 9.99 it sounds like you would be getting Total Equipment Coverage which bundles standard insurance and an extended warranty. The extended warranty covers device defects for free replacements while insurance covers physical damage and lost/stolen phones for a deductible.  Weth did mention AppleCare+ but I would definately research it further as last time I checked, it didn't cover accidental or water damage.

  • If I buy a phone under a 2 year contract?

If I purchase a phone under a 2 year contract and then end the contract early, do I also have to return the phone?

And keep in mind that a new activation will require a $35 activation fee (or a $30 upgrade fee if you're upgrading a line), plus you'll pay a month in advance for your service.  And when you cancel the line, the service isn't pro-rated.  In other words, run the numbers because depending on which phone you're looking at as 'free' with a two-year contract, the cost may be close to paying full retail in the long-run, and it would be an easier process to just pay full retail in that case.

  • 2 Year Contract Cancellation

I want to cancel my 2 year contract, but I started it 2 weeks ago for my 2nd line. Can I cancel it and return the phone with paying the the termination fee?

Only if you have had the phone for less than 14 days. It also depends on where you purchased in regards to how to setup the return. If it is from a store I would simply take it back. If on the phone or internet I would definitely call first and read the order receipt in its entirety that came in package.

  • 2 year contract vs Edge (upcoming iPhones)

I am currently under contract looking towards the new iPhones.  Here are my details
    -2 lines
    -unlimited talk/ text
-shared data 4GB (could possibly go to 6GB)
-month cost 150 before taxes (160 with 6GB)
With upcoming iPhone 6 I would have the subsidized prices with a new 2 year contract agreement.  I wanted to know if the verizon edge plan would be worth considering (with 10GB shared data).  I've been reading that if you have less than 10GB shared data then Edge isn't really worth considering over the 2 year contract over the long term.  Wanted to get people's opinion on the matter.
I'm looking at getting iPhone 6 128GB and iPhone 6 plus 64GB.  I talked with a rep and with EDGE it would be a month of about $33 and $38 respectively tacked onto the 160 plan w/ 10GB shared data.
Is EDGE worth it? Would love to hear your opinions.  Thanks for reading.

Only you can answer that. I would say that if you're on a sub 10 GB plan then no.
    On a subsidy your 2 phones would cost roughly $860, $400 each plus $30 upgrade fee. Plus taxes. $150 a month( 4 GB plan ) for 24 months is $3600. So total over 24 months is $4460 plus taxes/fees. With a 6 GB plan it's $4700. with 10 GB it's $5180
On Edge with a 10 GB plan over 24 months you're paying $215 a month for 20 months. And $130 for 4 months( assuming you get the Month2Month discount after your phones are paid off ) so a total of $4820. If you don't get the Month2Month discount then it's $5020
So if you're not interested in upgrading sooner than 2 years and if you really don't need more than 6 GB then I would say no. Kid of off topic but i would never pay $850 for a phone. And I wouldn't pay $400 for a subsidized on either.

  • 2 year contract to verizon edge, can I return any smartphone?

I went in line waiting for the new iPhone 6 only to find out that I must return my old phone in order to switch from a 2 year contract to Verizon edge. I currently have a Iphone 5S and this phone is worth easily worth $300 so trading it in wouldn't be a good financial move. Is it possible to get any working smartphone and use that as a trade in to switch to edge?

Unfortunately, this is not T-Mobile and you have to turn in the same exact phone that is under contract. Verizon is accepting your iPhone 5s in lieu of charging you an ETF fee.

  • 2 year contract on upgrading phone

Im a little confused. I changed my phone to a one year agreement so I could get a new phone each year but it sounds like each time I do this I move my contract up 2 years. If I do this the next 3 years I would then have a 6 year contract. Is this right? If so is there no way to keep my phone updated without this happening.

When you receive a new phone at a discounted price each year (annual upgrade), your contract is extended for 2 years from the date of the new contract.  It is not "added on" to your prior contract, it is a NEW 2 year contract from that date.  So you are never obligated to continue your contract for more than 2 years at any time.
For instance, you buy a new, discounted phone in January of 2010, and sign the contract through January 2012.  In January of 2011, you take advantage of the annual upgrade to get a new phone, and you sign a NEW contract for two years, through January of 2013.  Come January of 2012, you do the same thing, your contract is through January of 2014, two years from the CURRENT contract origination.
