Adding lyrics so I can read while listening

Hello,
I am learning a new language and listening to MP3's daily. I would find it helpful to insert the dialogue / lyrics to songs so I can listen to the MP3 and read it on my iPod.
Is this possible? I tried adding the lyrics and dialogue on iTunes under "Comments". This did not work. Can someone help me here? Tell me how to add the lyrics / dialogue and what buttons to press to view them afterwards.
Thank you,
EFI

On an iPod Touch (2nd gen, with iOS 4.2.1) you need to go to Settings/Music/Lyrics & Podcast Info>On in order for the lyrics field to be displayed on your iPod's Now Playing screen. And as John states, tap the Now Playing screen to toggle between lyrics displayed/not displayed.

  • C7: Incoming SMS sound too loud while listening mu...

    Hi all,
I tried to find out if there is already a solution for this one, but no luck. While I'm listening the music with my C7 with headset connected and the SMS arrives, the indication sound is totally mind blasting. Is there some where a place to turn it down while using headset on my C7?
    Thanks in advance!

The built in tones that come with the phone has a tone called beep which will suite your need. Just create a profile which you can use while listening to music and use beep tone for message. :-) A separate profile will let you customize all options without disturbing the default profiles. Of course the default ones can be edited as well.

Other than iMovie, GB always incorporates the audio files into the GB package. So just save or move the GB project to the external drive, and you're done - anything you import, edit or record will be saved to the external drive.

  • HT5295 How can I listen to an audio podcast with the screen off? I don't need the screen on using power while listening

I can not find a setting to change this. Music will play with screen off or using another app while listening but the podcast app does not allow this

Have you checked for updates to the podcast app in the app store? There was an update that addressed exactly this problem a few days ago.

  • Every user can read any file while ACL mass change in progress

    Hi!
We're having some strange things happening here. Maybe someone can help us what exactly is/was going on here.
    1. We have to add an additional user in the NTFS ACL list for all file shares in our company (about XXXTB)
    2. We're using Windows Explorer to accomplish that.
    3. Every user can read in directories he/she has NO ACCESS RIGHTS to while the changes are being applied.
    4. Files are also readable but at least still not writeable.
    5. Affected folders and files change over time.
Has someone experienced the same issue? Does the Windows Explorer reset the ACL lists before changing them? Is there some weird caching going on?

I unfortunately can't send you a screenshot as this would be a violation of our company rules.
I can however ensure you that we never have any normal user or group besides the very guarded admin group that has read permissions in all folders. I'm also sure that the colleague was only adding the additional account for the indexing service and did that
by adding the permission via the properties tab in Windows Explorer. I restate that this is a very large data dir with about 6 Terrabytes of data the change was made to. The rest of our data was safe.
We guard our rights very closely as any unauthorized access that isn't fixed within minutes will cause a security incident that has to be documented by our department chief. As such was the case here.
As we've got no answer here yet, I can conclude that this is not a very common problem.

While listening to a podcast on my iPhone I can e-mail the podcast ID to share it with someone else. The email contains the url for the specific podcast. So you would assume that you could put that url into iTunes and it would take you to the podcast. This used to work but no longer. Months ago when I would e-mail myself the url all I had to do was click on the link in the e-mail and it took me right to the specific podcast in iTunes. Now it only opens iTunes and I can't figure out how to find the specific one. What good is the e-mail tab on the iPhone if it doesn't connect you to the podcast you sent?

Same here. I just posted a question too.

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Why can't I listen to music and read the ny times simultaneously?

Why can't I listen to music and read simultaneously?

hmm, well have you ever tried to run the music app in the bakground before? Double click the home button and bring up the music app. Select you music and you should hear it when you switch back to your NY times.app.
You can do this. HOWEVER, never used the NY times app before. ****IF the NY times has streaming media capability, this would be why you can't listen to music simultaneously while reading.
Not all news readers have the ability to allow music in the background.
    Hope this helps!

Hi, while listening to a song my iPad music shut down and I can't open it any more. Do you know how to fix this?
    iPad 2

Try closing the Music app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Do you have Logitech Gaming Software installed?  If so, uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue.

Hi, while listening to a song my iPad music shut down and I can't open it any more. Do you know how to fix this?

Did you try quitting the Music app and then restart the iPad?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • Can't turn external speaker off while listening music on iphone4

is there anybody who knows how to turn external speaker off while listening on ipod mode in iphone 4?

I believe apple still use a mechanical switch in the headphone port.
If you are plugging in headphones and it's not autoswitching-clean out the headphone jack with compressed air.
Make sure the headphones are fully inserted.
