Adding marks !

Hi all,
I'm editing a feature documentary.
When I synchronized sounds recorded on a extern recorder with the images after I delink the sound camera and relink the good sound with the images, the marks I write on the video is marked a few seconds before the redhead. If I delink - the good sound with the good frame -, the marks are writed at the good place.
How can we explain that ?
Thanks a lot.
See you.
Regards
BrunoF

Caution
It's not sure than a character available in TexEdit may be used in AppleWorks.
TextEdit is Unicode aware while AppleWorks is not.
The chars with a circumflex usable in AppleWorks are:
 â Ê ê Ô ô Û û Î î
Here are some which aren't:
Ĉ ĉ Ĥ ĥ Ĵ ĵ Ŝ ŝ Ŵ ŵ Ŷ ŷ
For my own use, I built a table of favourites for the Character Palette tool.
In this one, I put the "accented" chars usable in AppleWorks.
So I may enter them by a simple drag and drop.
It's a pity but with Mac OS 10.4.x, the good old double click is no longer usable to enter a char from the palette when AppleWorks is active.
Some one decided to disable it because some users complained because double clicking an Unicode character gave an odd insertion.
This is what in France we describe with the formula (throw away the baby with the bath's water).

  • Adding printer marks the quick way

    Is my workflow sound?
    I print a magazine that has many many ads submitted by clients via pdf and the ads invariably  fail to contain printer marks, have no bleed set and are of improper page size. The ads are big enough to cover the proper page size and extend past the bleed but in order to add printer marks I have to set the art box, trim box, crop box and bleed box in Acrobat and then afterwards I can add printer marks. This is time consuming when you are dealing with over 300 ads and you have a deadline.
    So, I just place and center the pdf in an empty InDesign document that has the proper page size and the proper bleed and just export it back to PDF using a preset that include printer marks. Easy Peasy.
    My question is should I set Output (in the Export to PDF dialog box) to "No Color Conversion" since they are already cmyk pdfs? If I leave it to "Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers) - which is my default - I assume that is fine too since the incoming ads are already separated for US Web Coated SWOP 2 and that is my default cmyk working space. I shouldn't have to worry about color changes either way correct?
    I also set compression to none in the Export to PDF dialog box since the ad was already exported to pdf once already.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks.
    -Mark

    Are all of these ads supposed to be full page w/ bleed? I've never understood why anyone would want marks or bleeds on anything that wasn't.
    In any case, I can't see that adding marks to one of these ads before you place it is of much use to you. If you are presuming the centering when you add the marks, just presume that when you place the ad in the magazine (but perhaps I've misunderstood and that's what you are doing). There's no benefit to any intermediate addition of fictitious marks.
    I would export the magazine using whatever your normal settings are. Preserve numbers is safe, it won't make rich black type, but colors will shift if the wrong space was used to create the ad. No conversion is probably not a good idea on the off chance that there are spot or RGB colors included -- you never know...
    I also would use the refular compression settings you normally use. I've been told that ID "internalizes" placed PDF and handles the compression on the images just as if they were placed directly. It won't compress them more unless the original settings were higher than the ones you use.

  • Change color for trim and registration mark

    The trim and registration marks are having the color name "All" in the generated pdf from InDesign. Any one help me out on how to change the color to K (black) while generating PDF out of InDesign.

    JohnAD77 wrote:
    Is it possible to make to 4/c to 1/c (black 100%) while generating PDF itself without adding marks in the document?
    Maybe, in CS6, by exporting to Grayscale, but this will make everything black ink only. Otherwise, no.
    To add your own marks, add a slug area to the file, draw whatever you want for marks in that area, using [Black], and turn off automatic marks in the export dialog, but Include Slug Area under the bleed settings.

  • Is there a marker limit in Director MX 2004?

    I'm using Director MX 2004, and I have a very large project with lots of markers. Markers have quite long names too. Now I'm having some weird behavior when inputting new markers and naming them... I have tried many times to add new markers, but for some reason as soon as I move a newly added marker the name of the marker goes empty, and the name is added to the previous marker. For example, if I have a marker called "Markername 1" and I add a new marker with a name "Markername 2" and then move the marker with "Markername 2", it loses its name and the first marker is called "Markername 1Markername 2"... is there some limits in markers or what could cause this weird behavior?

    Chunick wrote:
    Director is so much more powerful than laying stuff out on the timeline over and over, project after project. I would challenge you to explore Lingo a bit more and learn what possibilities it opens up to make your projects of 3000-4000 labels much easier. We, as humans are natural pattern seekers, and that's where programming can help the most. If we can see the pattern - the repetition - then there's usually code that we can write that gets rid of the manual layout of something of that scale that you describe so that you'd just have to create a few markers and have the code dynamically generate the layout from the data/assets.
    So, have fun with Director and explore... to steal from Mark, "Keep on Learnin'".
    WOW. This sort of reply is a perfect example of why so many long-time Director users like myself rarely post, but instead just roll our eyes and walk away. The hubris in this last comment is amazing.
    Let's review the thread. Someone posts that they are having problems adding new markers. You and both Mark responded. FWIW, I also would recommend the list solution that substitutes the actual name for a more systematic labeling method, so that's a great and helpful idea. But your first post, that noboby has ever experienced this over the last nine years, is incorrect. I've complained about the "marker bug" on numerous occasions over the years, probably dating back to MX, though I guess everyone just ignored the comment. So I chime in on this thread that I have, in fact, numerous large movies that exhibit the erratic label issues.Then comes your amazing reply to my comment about the unpredictable bug, which could be summarized as "My vision for Director involves templates, and anyone who deviates from my vision must be a moron who is completely ignorant of the complexity of Director."
    LOL
    So if you get your wish, will the stage of D12 would be locked down at 10 frames for the rest of us? Just because you can't step outside of the box you've put yourself in and EVER see the need for a movie with more than a handful of frames, does that imply that every other serious Director user has to limit themsleves with those same constraints?
    I don't disagree with you that the power of Director is in creating an underlying architecture that allows sophisticated interactions to be used over and over with minimal fuss at the individual screen level. I haven't written a "go to" command in years! Why do you assume that I spend all my time "laying stuff on the timeline"? What is amazing is that you make these sweeping generalizations about every other user, based only on your initial programming biases, even when you have no idea of the complexity of my project or its intended use.
    Like you, the bulk of my plumbing when setting up this large number of screens involves submitting (and cleaning up) large, complex data arrays (AKA - lists of lists). I have over 30,000 lines of Lingo for these input lists alone, which reference the 150,000 lines of lingo for my generic interactions. And of course this all ties in to a huge local DB, where I have over 500,000 fields, and the user generates another 10,000 new entries in the DB during their 100+ hours spent in the application.
    But what does this "plumbing" have to do with markers? My vision for reusable code is to handle the hard stuff out of sight, and allow me to quickly create unique screen markers that have a "hand crafted" feel to every screen. I do this not because templates are beyond my conceptual grasp, but rather because I have rejected the idea of templates, for my projects, as creative "laziness". Easy to implement, but boring, tedious, and visually unappealing, Sure, templates may work for many other applications, especially those where the user experience is not so important. But in my case, where each projects involves about 40,000 hours of work gathering unique materials and constructing them into an interactive, it flies in the face of the very nature of the project itself. My users will spend 2-3 hours per week in my application, for an entire year. Why should I bore them more than necessary, just because I want to save 200 hours of layout on a 40,000 hour project? Each of my projects, over their lifetime, will have over 5 million hours of user time spent inside them. I'm currrently working on one that will have 10 times that amount. Since many labels will have users spending over 10,000 hours looking / interacting with it, my question is not "how can I save 5 minutes of layout/programming time per screen', but rather "is this screen visually, technically, and pedagogically worth thousands of user hours?"
    So I use markers, in combination with my code, to reject the template mold, allowing me to quickly lay a few simple elements on each screen and create a customized, hand crafted look and feel to the entire experience. It is a very different approach than yours, and I'm glad you are happy with your view of the interactive world. But as for me, I use Director precisely because itt is possible to mix a powerful scripting environment, that reaches deep into the OS, with the ability to quickly customize each screen/label and provide an appealing visual experience for the user.
    While you think I should "explore Lingo a bit more and learn what possibilities it opens up", I'd suggest you learn to put aside your predetermined solutions to problems that you have not even encountered yet. Who knows where new creative ideas will take you...

  • IMGBurn updated to 2.0.0.0

    See http://www.imgburn.com/
    All-new version of the popular freeware burn utility.
    Changelog:
    * Added: 'Build' mode for creating ISO's from files on your hard disk, or burning them direct to a disc.
    * Added: Capturing Processor usage is now optional.
    * Added: Option to change the thread priority of the 'Graph Data' thread. Might give more accurate results on some PC's.
    * Added: Workaround for Windows Vista where the system tray icon wouldn't display the initial (top most) 'Restore ImgBurn' item because it had the 'Default' flag set.
    * Added: Additional variations of the 'Send Cue Sheet' command when the initial attempt fails.
    * Added: If 'Send Cue Sheet' now fails because the drive is sooooo old it doesn't support SAO burning, the program will revert to TAO.
    * Added: Option to make Verify mode just test readability of the disc itself and not verify against an image file.
    * Added: Verify mode now reports (for all modes) the file mapped to any unreadable sector at a given LBA address.
    * Added: Buffer Recovery (+ user configurable threshold settings) for times when burning and hdd goes mental, meaning device buffer empties. This means less start / stopping for the drive.
    * Added: Option to set read speed for Verify mode (any type of verify, in the case where it's being done after burn etc).
    * Added: 32bit colour Icons to the icon used for 'default' file associations.
    * Added: When the program needs another disc as part of queued burns (and it's not the foreground window), it now flashes the taskbar button.
    * Added: A rating system to the layerbreak positions/screens. Should make it easier to pick the best one.
    * Added/Changed: The 'Wait For +RW Background Format' option into a 'Prefer Properly Formatted +RW' option. When checked, the program waits for background format to finish and will also prompt to format (before writing) any disc that's in the 'Formatted: No' or 'Formatted: No (Started)' states. When unchecked, it will only prompt when in the 'Formatted: No' state (i.e. when it really has to format).
    * Added: 'Mark as Burnt' to the Queue window context menu.
    * Added: New startup screen on OS's supporting layered windows.
    * Added: A new item to the main menu called 'Output'. This is visible in ISO Build mode and lets you switch between building to an image file or doing on-the-fly to a device (drive).
    * Added: '/VOLUMELABEL' CLI parameter for ISO Build mode.
    * Added: '/NOIMAGEDETAILS' CLI parameter for use in ISO Build mode. Does the same thing at ticking 'Don't Prompt Image Details' in the settings.
    * Added: '/OVERWRITE' CLI parameter for use in ISO Build mode.
    * Added: Support for detecting device arrival / removal.
    * Added: 'Copies' to the main window - as such, logic behind queue has had to change (as has the Queue window).
    * Added: '/COPIES' CLI command for use in ISOWRITE mode.
    * Added: Ability to load/save settings to a '.ini' file. File name passed via '/SETTINGS' CLI command or will default to 'ImgBurn.ini' in the exe's directory.
    * Added: 'Eject Tray' checkbox to all the transfer screens. Whatever that box is set to is now what the program does at the end of the burn (or burn + verify).
    * Added: Additional MD5 calculations to Build/Write/Verify modes where I thought they'd be handy - logged when operation completes successfully.
    * Added: Ability to eject the tray after write ONLY when there are additional images in the queue.
    * Added: Copies + speed info to the burn progress screen.
    * Added: Support for '.IBB' files - these are plain text backup project files. See 'ReadMe.txt' for additional information.
    * Added: Support for '/FILESYSTEM' CLI command for use in ISOBUILD mode.
    * Added: Support for CloneCD's updated version of my old '.dvd' file (from DVD Dec days) where it also contains layerbreak information.
    * Added: More image info to verify / write main screens (to fill empty space!) - due to additional real estate needed for 'Build' mode.
    * Added: Files > 1GB and that have sizes divisible (exactly) by 2048 are now just always accepted for burning - regardless of presence of 'supported' filesystems in the image.
    * Added: 'ImgBurn Statistics' to the 'Help' menu.
    * Added: '/LOG' CLI switch to auto save the log to specified file (overrides setting / filename in settings window).
    * Added: '/INFO' CLI switch to save Info panel information to specified file the first time a disc is fully recognised / checked.
    * Added: The installer now writes out the options (Desktop/Quick Launch icon etc) to the registry so those options are preserved if you install again.
    * Added: Ability to Load/Eject disc from Queue window.
    * Added: Improved file association removal code within the uninstaller.
    * Added: List of (supported!) file systems used within an image to the log and to the tooltip on the volume label.
    * Added: Ability to sort the queue asc/desc by clicking on the column header.
    * Added: Workaround for some old drives that wouldn't report a disc as being erasable.
    * Added: Option to ignore IFO/Filesystem layerbreak positions and revert to VOBU/ECC scanning.
    * Added: Option to set the chosen layerbreak position as 'seamless' via a checkbox in the 'select layer break position' / 'create layer break position' dialog boxes.
    * Added: Option to tell the program NOT to update the IFO/BUP files.
    * Added: Verify mode can now collect data / produce IBG files in its own right.
    * Added/Changed: Use of ComboBoxEx for device dropdown lists when running under Vista. The standard customdraw ComboBox didn't theme properly.
    * Changed: Processor performance counters are now initialised earlier to reduce the delay when the 'GraphData' thread starts.
    * Changed: Even when you load the ISO rather than the MDS file, the MDS (with the same name) will still be deleted if you opt to delete the image.
    * Changed: IBG files are now made to version 2 specs. You'll need an updated DVDInfoPro to view them.
    * Changed: Max speed can now be 33% larger than the average value (was 20%) - otherwise it's ignored - probably a spike.
    * Changed: Shortcut keys for modes/log window/queue window have been changed - forced due to nature of keypressing in new 'Build' mode. Old shortcuts do still work for Write/Verify/Discovery modes though.
    * Changed: 'L' and 'E' on Load/Eject buttons have been replaced by some pictures.
    * Changed: Updated 'ReadMe.txt' file with new CLI stuff.
    * Changed: The little picture of the drive in the device dropdown boxes is now greyed out for all devices except the active one.
    * Fixed: Drag + Drop of some items could look like it was going to work (going by the mouse cursor) but then didn't actually do anything (Effected Build mode's 'Source' box, the 'Queue' window and the 'Create DVD MDS File' window).
    * Fixed: When setting SPLIP flag in IFO/BUP files as a result of layerbreak stuff, it now checks the previous cell doesn't have a cell command before doing so.
    * Fixed: MSF values found in the 16 byte header of some CD sectors sizes (as part of internal conversion routines) were being calculated/stored in normal decimal format, not BCD (binary coded decimal).
    * Fixed: Selecting 'Incremental' and burning a CD meant all kinds of weird things happened. As Incremental doesn't work on CD (or at least not in ImgBurn), it'll always force SAO mode burning.
    * Fixed: Transparency problem with the 48x48x32 program icon.
    * Fixed: Unfinalised multisession discs where last session was empty were reported as being totally empty - meaning the program didn't prompt to erase them - meaning the burn then failed.
    * Fixed: Couldn't open read-only files (via the 'Open' dialog box) using Windows 98.
    * Fixed: Problem with non all-numeric OS 'short dates' in IBG files. The export function would bomb out because Borland's Date/Time functions wouldn't convert the string (taken from the IBG) back into a 'TDateTime' object. i.e. '2/July/2006 12:00:00' would fail where '2/7/2006 12:00:00' would work fine.
    * Fixed: Error message boxes shown from within threads did not stop other windows from becoming inactive.
    * Fixed: Problem where freshly formatted +RW media with unreadable sectors (not normal! - probably means burn will fail anyway) was not considered as writable.
    * Fixed: (Workaround) For a problem with Borlands resource compiler where icons have their index's messed up - this stopped the icon for file associations from working properly.
    * Fixed: Problem with Queue sort order not resetting when going between 'sort by name' and 'sort by name (ignore path)'.
    * Fixed: Unnecessary creation of reg keys for file types where association was disabled.
    * Fixed: 'Standard' user accounts got errors when closing the program down (failing to set file associations) - Maybe it is just visible in Vista?
    * Fixed: Problem updating volume labels in UDF filesystem if previously there was no volume label at all.
    * Fixed: Acceleration character (an '_') was shown in the Queue window for images containing an '&' in the volume label or file name.
    * Fixed: IBG CPU % usage stats on non English PC's.
    * Fixed: Incorrect 'Start In' property for shortcuts/icons created by the installer.
    * Fixed: Incorrect conversion of UDF revision field resulted in some weird values being reported.
    * Fixed: Problem where displaying IBG file with minimum required version of DVDInfoPro would show an error.
    * Fixed: IBQ files couldn't be loaded from the CLI and still keep all the correct settings - selected device info was lost.
    * Fixed: The Log window's open/save dialog boxes used the 'filename' path (part of internal structure) as the default folder, rather than the 'initialdir' path - so they didn't default to the correct 'Most Recently Used' folder.
    * Fixed: Compressing the exe with PECompact meant the 2nd application icon was compressed and so didn't show up for associated file extensions.
    * Fixed: Deferred errors caught by the 'WaitImmediateIO' function were not being correctly copied to the parent function - this could cause a crash.
    * Fixed: File Association code wasn't clearing up the registry properly.
    * Fixed: The filesystem parsing code as part of the verify stage could attempt to read beyond the end of the image file if it was a really small image.
    How can you possibly go wrong!

    Just for the heck of it, I went into Edge and was able to retrieve e-mail for one of my accounts. Don't really understand what 2.0.2 was designed to do.
    From my purely anecdotal experience, I think it's designed to display more bars on the screen Kind of like a Potemkin phone ...
    Well, it's been confirmed. As I type this, I have now received e-mail from both of my accounts ... on Edge ...
    I guess it's back to the drawing board for Apple and AT&T.

    Hello again everyone - I'm in the middle of attempting to write my own collision detection algorithm because the built in 'hitTestObject' function seems to be incredibly inaccurate (it's registering 'hits' when the objects are still a considerable distance from each other).
    I need to be able to calculate the position of each of the 4 corners of a rectangle, based on its rotation. Obviously one of the corners will simply be the rectangle's x and y coordinates. I have made a little test program to make sure I am calculating the positions of the corners accurately - it works when the rectangle is rotated to 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees, but produces strange results for any other angles...
    I have attached the program at the bottom, but here is the code:
    package
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import flash.geom.Point;
        public class CornerFinder extends MovieClip
            //vars
            var myRect:MovieClip;
            //constructor
            public function CornerFinder():void
                myRect = new MyRectangle();
                myRect.x = stage.stageWidth/2;
                myRect.y = stage.stageHeight/2;
                myRect.rotationZ = 270;
                addChild(myRect);
                AddCornerMarkers();
            private function AddCornerMarkers():void
                //The rotation of the rectangle in radians
                var rectRotation = myRect.rotationZ*(Math.PI/180);
                var corners:Array = new Array();
                corners[0] = new Point(myRect.x, myRect.y);
                corners[1] = new Point( (myRect.x + myRect.width * Math.cos(-rectRotation)), (myRect.y + myRect.height*Math.sin((rectRotation) )) );
                corners[2] = new Point( (myRect.x + myRect.width * Math.sin(-rectRotation)), (myRect.y + myRect.height*Math.cos((rectRotation) )) );
                corners[3] = new Point(corners[2].x + (corners[1].x - corners[0].x) , corners[2].y + (corners[1].y - corners[0].y));
                for(var i:uint = 0; i < corners.length; i++)
                    var marker:MovieClip = new CornerMarker();
                    marker.x = corners[i].x - marker.width/2;
                    marker.y = corners[i].y - marker.height/2;
                    trace("Adding marker at: " + marker.x + ", " + marker.y);
                    addChild(marker);
    MyRectangle, as you may have guessed is a simple rectangular symbol that is in the library of my fla file. The CornerMarker is just a red circle symbol.
    Can anyone see what the problem is? I thought if it worked for the 'main' angles (e.g. 0, 90, 180, etc) it would work for everything in between, but apparently not...

    you misunderstand.
    try:
    package
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import flash.geom.Point;
        public class CornerFinder extends MovieClip
            //vars
            var myRect:MovieClip;
            //constructor
            public function CornerFinder():void
                myRect = new MyRectangle();
                myRect.x = stage.stageWidth/2;
                myRect.y = stage.stageHeight/2;
                myRect.rotationZ = 270;
                addChild(myRect);
                AddCornerMarkers();
            private function AddCornerMarkers():void
                //The rotation of the rectangle in radians
                var rectRotation = myRect.rotationZ*(Math.PI/180);
                var corners:Array = new Array();
    myRect.rotationZ=0;
                corners[0] = new Point(myRect.x, myRect.y);
    corners[1] = new Point( (myRect.x + myRect.width *
    Math.cos(rectRotation)), (myRect.y +
    myRect.width*Math.sin((rectRotation) )) );
               // corners[2] = new Point( (myRect.x + myRect.width * Math.sin(-rectRotation)), (myRect.y + myRect.height*Math.cos((rectRotation) )) );
              //  corners[3] = new Point(corners[2].x + (corners[1].x - corners[0].x) , corners[2].y + (corners[1].y - corners[0].y));
    myRect.rotationZ=rectRotation*180/Math.PI;
                for(var i:uint = 0; i < corners.length; i++)
                    var marker:MovieClip = new CornerMarker();
                    marker.x = corners[i].x - marker.width/2;
                    marker.y = corners[i].y - marker.height/2;
                    trace("Adding marker at: " + marker.x + ", " + marker.y);
                    addChild(marker);

  • Permission denied error in whstart.js after generating from RH10

    I am running a very small (1 topic) project to test out RH10. After generating and getting the yellow bar warning at the top, I added Mark of the Web and re-generated. Then my IE8 page just flashed over and over again until I hit Cancel and looked at the errors:

    The first four are repeated many times until I hit Cancel on the page. In whver, whutils, whmsg  and whstub, Line 1, Char 1 is a / to start a comment // and is greyed out in the code reader in Dreamweaver. Line 47, Char 1 in whstart is v from the word var.
    I took out and then reinserted Mark of the Web, the page now loads properly but takes a very long time to do so: it has been loading already for over a minute and just loaded.
    Can anyone tell me why I got those messages? And secondly, why is it loading so slowly?
    Thanks in advance!

    I'm about to convert a much larger project from RH9 to RH10. The big one is working well with the same IE8 settings, I don't want to trade that for being able to take advantage of HTML5 output if my desktop output is going to suffer as that is still the largest part of my target audience. That's why I would really like to find out why these two things are happening.
    Chrome even loads the page much faster than IE.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Error loading AXIS - welcome page

    I occur an error when starting the AXIS - welcome page (index.jsp):
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Can't find bundle for base name i18n, locale de_DE
    Has anybody an idea what this could be due to?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Bluemccarty,
    Unfortunately, you cannot just add Mark of the Web to the
    .htm pages as other webhelp components come into play including the
    .xml files used to display the TOC and index. This only happens
    when you run the webhelp output locally of course, but it is a
    complete pain if you want to ship help that needs to be viewed both
    locally and on a server/website.
    A few of us have tried adding mark of the web to resolve the
    issue, but if my memory serves me well, no one has found a
    solution. We do need one! Hopefully this will be addressed in the
    X6 version of Robohelp.
    You can try modifyng the other output files in the webhelp
    folder to inhibit the information bar, but you will need to do this
    each time the output is generated.
    Unless anyone else has found a solution?
    Kind Regards
    Craig

  • Premiere CS6: Mutlicam audio "unlocked" from video

    Hi all, I'm new to Premiere CS6 after working with Liquid for years, so apologies if this is a stupid question. I tried to scan the forums for an answer but didn't find anything, so here goes:
    I am syncing three separate video files using Multicam with the same Marker point. (No timecode) The resulting Multicam file syncs up perfectly, video AND audio, in the left-hand window. But when I select new Mark In and Mark Out points on the file to add footage to the Timeline, the audio track no longer syncs up. It's almost like I've changed the video Mark In spot, but not the audio one... Which makes no sense, since the Multicam file should be its own separate entity?
    The flipside: When I add that piece of footage to the Timeline, the audio (in the Timeline) is re-synced once more. So my end result has video and audio perfectly in sync... but when I'm auditioning footage in the upper left-hand window, the audio doesn't line up.
    Like I said, I'm sure there's some simple solution I'm missing here. Thanks in advance for your help.
    Rich

    Hmmm. Well, I imported each video clip into the Media Bin, then screened them one-by-one in the Source Monitor. At the appropriate mark-in spot, I set a Mark In on each clip.
    Next, I highlight all three clips simultaneously in the Media Bin, then right-click to choose "Create Multi-Cam Sequence." And I select "Marker Point." Premiere then creates a new clip in the Media Bin, renamed "Clip1MutliCam" (for example). I click on THAT clip and all 3 angles appear in the Source Window.
    My problem arises when I start adding Mark In & Mark Out to the Multicam Clip so I can add footage to the Timeline. The audio goes out of sync in the Source Monitor... But the same footage, when placed on the Timeline, has synced audio once again. So the issue is in the Source Window only.
    Sorry for not explaining that one better. I haven't tried syncing clips in a sequence. Again, I'm just a novice at this... My method seemed very similar to how Liquid does MultiCam, so I assumed it would work in similar fashion.

  • "Unable to save markup: Cannot create output file" message with ISDK

    Hi,
    We have an integration of AutoVue with OpenText Livelink, and we're seeing that if users open a document, and then work on adding mark-ups for a long time (3 hours) without saving the mark-up when the user saves the markup they get an error message "Unable to save markup: Cannot create output file". If they then press the save button they get the out-of-the-box AutoVue 'Save Markup File As' dialog.
    The ISDK DMS integration servlet and VueServlet servlet are both running under Tomcat with 740 minute session timeout set for the servlet.
    When we look at the logs we're not seeing any attempts to save the mark-up, which is confusing.
    It looks as though the link between the AutoVue applet and the DMS has been lost.
    Is it possible to specify session time-outs in the AutoVue applet?
    Is there a way of checking keep-alives are being sent (if they are ever sent)?
    Help appreciated!
    Thanks
    Paul

    AutoVue default timeout is 30 minutes and is being controlled by the option jvueserver.users.timeout (value set in seconds, default is 1800).
    Adding to the jvueserver.properties the following line:
    jvueserver.users.timeout=50400
    would set AutoVue session timeout to 14 hours (longer than Tomcat session).
    If the issue still persists, the AutoVue session timeout is probably not the cause...

    This only happens when you view locally right?
    If so, look at adding 'Mark of the Web' on the page and that will stop that popup from happening when you view locally.
    From the top menu go to:   Commands>Insert Mark of the Web
    I checked the page in Firefox and IE7 and no problems with the flash loading on my end.

    I follow artists when I want to remember to check them out. It would be nice if the list was sorted by something. Ideally "date added".

    Marked as new idea and edited the title slightly to make it easier to find via search. ;)
    This is a re-post of this inactive idea.
