Adding more editing programs to the menu

Hi I have a few programs that I use to develope my images. Such as Photomatix pro, Lightroom, Photosuite 6. When I go to try to get to one of the programs I have to go to prefrences and then pick each program that I want to use. Elements 10 only saves the last selected program. Is there a way to have all my programs listed in the menu for selection?

Having more than one "editing" app available on the menu wouldn't be a bad idea for a feature request. It's not a biggie, but I'd use that feature a few times....

Hi,
check etc/services for sapmsSBX entry. If missing - add it (i.e. sapmsSBX 36XX/tcp - where XX is your instance no.)
Add an extra [Enter] after last line of etc/services.

IE is adding a blue outlline to the menu buttons

I'm working on a page that is looking fine in FF but, it adds
a blue outline to the menu buttons (top and left side) in Explorer.
Does anybody knows what to do to make it look fine in IE too?

Adding more options onrollOver of the DataGird Row

What it ultimately comes down to (as always!) is how much money you have.
Cheapest is to buy Firewire drives and hook them in. Problem is, if the drive dies so does your data.
Most expensive and fastest is indeed Fiber channel stuff. But its expensive. A 6TB G-Tech FC RAID unit will cost you at least £3000 if you can get a good deal. And you have to have a FC card as well..
In between, and with the advantage that you can use the onboard kit, have a look at the Drobopro gear... for £900 ish you can get an empty unit and populate it with whatever drives you want. Expandable, has redundancy built in and simple to use. Has dual interfaces (FW and iSCSI). Performance wise, im not 100% sure as I dont have one myself, but reviews have been pretty positive so far.
The G-Tech FC RAID boxes are very fast and very nice pieces of kit. I have several of them on various macs dotted around, and theyre used for editing HD video. They handle it without breaking a sweat. G-Tech also keep upping the capacity, so the 6TB ones may not be the current versions...

No more PPPoE status in the menu bar...why??

Ok, I just D/L the latest updates from apple when all the sudden (after the D/L) my PPPoE status bar is gone. When I go to preferences to the PPPoE tab and look at the box to option me to have it on or off, it isnt highlighted and wont let me check the box. Is there any ideas out there about how to fix this??? I hate having to go to internet connect EVERY time I start up just to get online.

Nobody can answer why - it was an Apple design decision to remove all but the airplay functionality from menubar icons.

Does adding more Ram help with the speed of Compressor

At my office, we are having to dump out a 300k qt 7 project that is an hour long. It takes currently 2 1/2 hours to render out. Can this process speed up a degree with more ram?
Currently we have 8 gigs.. and we can make out to 16 gigs.

I don't think so. I believe Compressor is cpu/disk io dependent. I think you have enough memory. Depending on what you're encoding to, you may be able to speed things up if your machine has multiple cpu's.

You'd have to look into Activity Monitor utility, to see if any applications or processes are running or hogging system resources; not just RAM (as it may seem OK even if it isn't; esp in Mavericks) but in the areas of hard drive capacities. Could be you have some other issues not just a too-full hard disk drive, or not enough RAM installed.

Another utility that could show you plenty of busywork things going on, is Console. The system logs in there can show a detailed list of tons of activity. Perhaps some of the often-repeated results may be worth considering; and go by the time (day, hour, minute) you notice the spinning wheel; look into the logs from then.
Have you tried starting up in SafeBoot (shift key held on startup, then login screen appears, hold down shift key again when you login) and then run Disk Utility's repair disk permissions? When done, you could try & restart the computer normally.
If you happen to get incorrect specification RAM (close but not correct) that could also play into a spinning wheel deal; however the problem may be something else that RAM did not cure. Yet bad or incorrect RAM only adds to a pre-existing issue, since it could not solve it. Same with a System Upgrade. To upgrade to Mavericks with problems already does not mean they would go away; often that makes the first condition harder to resolve.

Doubt on Modifications in the Menu painter

Hi Experts,
I am trying to add a sub-object to the EDIT button in the Menu Bar of the VA01 transaction.
I am able to add the new function code to the SAPMV45A program’s menu bar and register the f-codes using t code VFBS.
But when i am trying to implement same thing in the SAPMV45B program’s menu bar, it is asking for access key.
Can some please help me ,is there any other way to solve the issue.I am new to this topic .

Not understood fully...
But check whether access key is already applied to SAPMV45A program.
(Check table 'ADIRACCESS' with key R3TR PROG SAPMV45A, if entry exists then access key is applied).
if this is not what your are looking for please explain in detail what you are trying to do.

Extra (Duplicate) Code Added After Editing Page

At first I thought this was a problem when using templates
but I've confirmed that it's more widespread that that. I've also
found this posted a couple of times on other boards but nobody
seems to have an answer.
After I edit a page (html or php, doesn't make a difference)
in Dreamweaver 8.02 extra code is added at the bottom of the page.
This code duplicates a portion of what is already on the page, and
it appears (although I can't say for certain) that the more editing
I do the more code is added.
The extra code is added after the closing </html> tag.
Sometimes a portion of it will show up in Code view but more often
than not I have to view the page in a text editor and remove it
outside of Dreamweaver. But once the page is edited again then the
problem repeats.

How do I delete spinning wheel on top of program icon in menu bar at top of screen?

I had LogMeIn installed on my iMac and it worked fine for a while. Then the icon for the program in the menu bar at the top of the screen went gray. When I hover the mouse over the icon a spinning pinwheel appears, so I can't click the icon to start the program. I deleted the program and then reinstalled it, but the gray icon and spinning wheel never whent away. Any thoughts on how to delete the spinning wheel would be appreciated. I'm a novice on the IMac. Thanks.

Problem solved. Placed Icon for Log Me In on dock and rebooted iMac. Not sure why, but it worked.

Numbers 3.5 adds Transpose in the menu "Table"!

A welcome new feature. And it's simple to use, too. Easier than Excel. And it works with both values and formulas.
In my initial excitement I was going to retire my Copy Transpose Automator Service. But then I thought better of it after I remembered the new Table > Transpose Rows and Columns always transposes the entire table.
If transposing just a range of cells within a table (for example, take a row of headers and quickly arrange them down a column instead) then the Copy Transpose still comes in handy.

In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case. Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain. I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small. How can I make your program increase the size?

CS6 is not high-DPI compatible/ enabled and that can't be changed. If you cannot6 make it work with your operating system means, then short of joining Creative Cloud and using newer versions there is nothing you can do.
