Adding multiple music tracks to a photo slideshow

Hi guys,
I have a photo slideshow of over 100 photos and would like to add more than 1 music track. I am having difficulty in adding a 2nd audio file after I have already used the beat marker on the first track to put my photos in sync with the music.
Is it best to add the tracks onto the clip/photos themselves or as a project track?
Any info on how to add multiple tracks to a project or clips would be great
Many thanks.

I'm just finishing up a 20 minute slide show for my son's 5th grade graduation (tomorrow!) and I've been up the learning curve. What I did was add the song and pin it to the first photo. You can add a song 2 ways - You want it to surround the video/photos. When you drag it to the upper left, it you will notice it's shaded green around the photos. If you hover near the gear symbol, you will get a grabby hand to move it. Drag it to a photo and it will turn purple and be pinned to that image. For the next song, you will also drag it to the upper left and it will be green (depending on if your other song is at the very beginning of your project). Then drag it to the image to which you want it attached. This gets buggy and tedious when you're doing a long video. But I liked this method better than dragging the audio and seeing a green bar at the bottom, because I always accidentaly moved it around and messed myself up. Hope that helps!

  • Slideshow multiple music tracks

Does anyone know how to fit multiple music tracks to a slideshow?  I can only seem to put one track.

Only one track per slideshow is currently possible.

One workaround is to record multiple tracks to a single audio file (e.g. using Adobe Audition) then add that as a single file to your slideshow.

  • How to delete multiple music tracks

how to delete multiple music tracks?

I think rendering the audio has to do with the way I import to FCE. This is how I bring video into FCE because it seems to be the only way I can get it to work. I run my video camera through a digital coverter which runs a firewire into my Mac. I then import the video into imovie. After that is done, I do a drag and drop of the imovie into FCE. I have to render the audio because it just beeps if I don't when I play it back in FCE. I tried using the video capture in FCE but it keeps telling me it is unable to capture (my gues is the cameras are too old and the digital converter in not compatable with FCE or Mac). So once the video and audio footage is in FCE, if I click the green button on the left hand side, my rendered audio becomes a red line. However, I can click the same button on the upper video portion, and it drops the video out so I can see video clips on the lower levels and not just the first one on top. So that's why I render the audio. I can see all twelve audio tracks already. Tom- would making the change you suggest still help? Great book by the way also.

  • Adding additional music tracks after beat-marking 1st track

I've begun a project by first adding a music track.  I've beat-marked that track and now would like to add a second track.
When I drag the second song into my project, however, I find it completely obliterates the first track.
Is there any way to simply append the second without erasing the first?
    Thanks!

I have the same question with a little twist. I'm using the iMovie 11, last version before the new one. When I try to ad a second song behind the first beat marked song, it seems to just wrap around the first song.

  • Autor-Play multiple music tracks

    Please help,
I would like to give visitors to my website the same music
experience as if they are listening to their CD player. In other
words, visitors can listen to multiple music tracks without having
to press play at the start of every new tracks. Just like a CD
player, visitor should be able to select the track that they want
to listen to, i.e. music tracks cannot be saved as a single file.
    Thank you.

  • How do i add EQ to multiple music tracks

in an effort to make my touch's battery life last longer i read the tips and 1 was to turn off eq on the touch and add eq to the tracks from itunes but i can only do 1 at a time which is very slow. how do i add eq to multiple tracks??
im talking like 700 music tracks 1 by 1 isnt an option

You should be able to select the top track in a list and then hold down the shift key and click on the bottome of the list. Or you could use select all from the edit menu to select all the tracks in a play list/library.

  • Adding Multiple audio tracks

    Hi people.
How can I add multiple Audio tracks on a video which then can be switched on a DVD remote control?
    Please help.
    thanks in advance.

    jagthandi,
I agree with you on the separate purchase of Encore. It's a great authoring program. Until CS3, it was sold as a stand-alone, though was also included in the CS2 Production Studio, which is how I came by it. Adobe began integrating it more and more closely to Premiere Pro, so that became more of a "module," than a stand-alone. As of CS3 it only came bundled with P-Pro. Good on one hand, but not so good, on the other. Having used it for many years now, I would be loathe to use any other authoring application.
It seems that Sony has done similar with their DVD Architect Pro, only bundling it with Vegas Pro.
What this means is that there are now few full-featured authoring applications in an affordable price range. DVD Studio Pro being one of the few, and its interface is not as clean as Encore's. It offers potentially more power, but you have to do some basic programming to use that power. At the top of the list is Sonic Scenarist, but at around US$50K, complete, it's not really an option. Also, its interface takes years to learn.
So very glad that I have Encore2. I will likely never part with that program, as it does 99% of what I would ever want from an authoring application. That last 1% can usually be done with some creative workarounds.

  • Adding multiple audio tracks to slideshow

Just wondering if it's possible to add more than 1 audio track to a single slide show.
If not, is there a way in which I can combine different audio tracks and make one file out of multiple songs?
That way I could at one track to my slide show, containing a couple of songs I would like to be heard along with the photos.
    Thanks

First off, I am still using iMovie and iDVD version 4, so Apple may have changed stuff around from version 4 to version 6. But in general, I have the customize "drawer" open on the left of the screen. I then pick Media on the top and the pull down under that should be "Audio" (the other two choices being Photos and Movies).
I then have two windows below for iTunes. The top window shows all the playlists and the selection for "Library" which is for all songs. The bottom window shows the songs in the selection you picked above (everything if you selected Library or just the songs in a particular playlist).
The middle bar between the two windows has a little DOT you can grab and drag up or down see make either window larger, so if you don't see much of the top screen, grab it and make the top screen larger.
So first question is, do you see what I described above? And shown below?

  • Multiple music tracks on a slide show in Lightroom

I asked at Photoshop World this month whether or not Adobe has included the ability to place more than one track of music in a slide show. Unfortunately, this is not possible with the latest release of LR5. However, I would find this incredibly useful for longer slideshows without having to resort to a third party software. Is there any plan to do this in the near future?

Your preaching to the converted - I've p...d and moaned about the half baked slideshow module for years. And whilst the Lr team have added features over this period they've generally been to satisfy folk more intertested in video output than fixing the basics.
If you want to make noise that will be heard louder than in here the best raise your request at http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/products/photoshop_family_photoshop_lightro om

  • Multiple Music Tracks

I have 56 slides with songs that should start at slide #2, 7, 17, 23, and 28. If I add the appropriate audio track to the appropriate slides will it keep playing after I advance it to another side, and how can I get it to stop after X number of slides (in PPT, it's Custom animation > Effects Options > Stop Playing > After (x) Number of Slides).

I use Keynote for lectures in which a single music example is played while I display he sequence of pages of score. As you say, in PowerPoint this is achieved by telling the programme to play the music example while X number of slides are displayed. In Keynote you can use SmartBuild to achieve the same effect: here, though, the music example is assigned to a single slide, and the multiple pages of score are also assigned to that slide; each mouse click advances one page of score while the music continues to play.
    1) Create new slide
    2) Drag and drop the music file on to the slide and make sure that the sound icon is selected . Select 'View - Show Inspector'. On the Inspector pane, select the iTunes icon and then click the 'Start movie [sic] on click' box.
    3) From the main menu bar select 'Insert - Smart Build' and choose the effect for the transition between images. (I use the first of these -- 'dissolve' -- though it would be more effective if a 'turn page' effect were available.)
    4) Now simply drag each of the images in sequence on to the slide. If you make a mistake, then the order can be changed on the grey panel.
    5) Go to 'Play Slideshow'. The slide will show the first image. Your first click will start the music and subsequent clicks will move through the images one by one. A final click advances to the next slide and stops the music.
I hope that this will help.

  • ITunes 10.2.0.24 Crashes Adding Multiple Music Folders

When adding more than one folder of MP3 music to iTunes 10.2.0.34, it crashes. The event occurs after the processing the MP3 files during the artwork or playback gap processing, its difficult to tell exactly.
The workaround for this appears to be:
Exit iTunes after each folder add and restart.
I have used this method (a pain to do, but it works) to add folders which caused a crash in iTunes when they were second folder added. It appears not to be the content of the folders, but some 'garbage collection' not properly occurring within iTunes. I tested this by:
Adding two folders (Folder A, Folder B)
Start iTunes, add Folder A OK
    Add Folder B, crashes iTunes
Restart iTunes, remove Folder A music
Restart iTunes and then add Folder B OK
Add Folder A and get an iTunes Crash
I am attaching the errors from the event log of windows. These two errors are repeatable.

I guess I should also note that sometimes it just crashes... just because.

    No, seriously, fix it.

  • Adding multiple audio tracks to a multicam file

I am editing a multi cam production- and have 8 different audio tracks- separate from the movie files. I have made a multi cam file but any ideas on how to add all 8 tracks of audio to this multi cam file- then edit- and then question no. 2: how do I then export all edited audio tracks separately for my sound engineer to mix them? Thanks a lot

Hi Tom- thanks for your response   I´m not quite sure if you get me right... I have made a multicam file- consisting of 4 cameras- and now I want to add 8 audio tracks that are not connected to any of the cameras- but that were recorded seperately- and have all these 8 tracks lying underneath all the camera angles- being synced up with the cameras internal mics- but I want to edit the 8 audio tracks and finally export them. Thanks

  • How to apply a specific music for each photo slideshow

I'd like to setup a specific music for a specific photo slideshow, and to store that preferences, in some way, so that, on selecting a slideshow, automagically startup the specific song.
    Is it possible ?
    Seems not ... yet.

You can do that by preparing the slideshow in iphoto instead of on the tv, you then have to ensure you sync the slideshow and the tunes you have used in the slideshow before playing it on the tv.

  • HOW TO ADD MULTIPLE AUDIO TRACKS - iMovie '11

I'm having trouble adding multiple audio tracks in iMovie 11.  I already have an audio track embedded with the video and a separate music track under.  I wish to extend the music track further but need to cut it off at a certain point.  I tried just adding the 2nd music track under the first but when I 'drop' the track it doesn't show up anywhere.  Any ideas or work arounds will be helpful.  Thanks.

you have to drag the music-clip onto a video-clip - then, iM will add it automatically upon/under the other ones ...
