Adding multiple songs to a slideshow in Iphoto......

I know how to add a song to a picture slide show in iPhoto. But how do I add lets say several songs to one big slide show? I was asked to do it as a favor for a friend because it is her birthday. I am gonna do one song for her early years than as she gets older switch it to another song, etc......But how can I do it on one big file? It is gonna go on a dvd or cd and be played at a birthday party and I would like to be able to pop it in and not have to change the cd or have to press any buttons on the dvd player.
Thanks for the help and sorry if the question is confusing....

Create a playlist for the slideshow in iTunes. Then in the slideshow settings, select the entire playlist rather than any individual song. If you can't see your playlists in the box, then you need to look for the little dot (or dimple) and drag it to open the window wider.
For screenshots that beautifully illustrate the process, see this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2237291 and follow the links in lori_diloretto's last post.
While the iPhoto slideshow is the easiest to create, the timing of the songs during play of the iPhoto slideshow is imprecise, especially when you export the slideshow to QuickTime or iDVD (for burning to disc). If you want to precisely match the music to the slides, you may wish to import your slideshow album into iMovie (use the Media Pane in iMovie, locate the album, and simply drag it into the iMovie project), then manipulate the music track from there. When done, launch iDVD, create a new project, and import the iMovie project. You can customize your DVD menu(s) and burn the movie to DVD.

  • Adding multiple songs

I want to burn an iPhoto slideshow and use 4 songs. It seems that iDVD will only one song. Is there a workaround?

Good suggestion... Other options include bringing your still photos into iMovie and adding your songs there (can make nice fadeouts/ins). iDVD can do slideshows with 99 pictures or less. If you have an audio editing program, you can copy/paste your songs together, and import the "new" song into iTunes (so you fool iTunes into thinking it's only one song).
If you have Quicktime Pro ($30), you can Export/Share your iPhoto slideshow as a Quicktime movie, then use Quicktime to open each song you want to use, copy it, and Add to the iPhoto/Quicktime slideshow. Repeat this step until all the slideshow has audio. Roxio Toast ($80) also includes a nice slideshow function.

  • How do I have multiple songs in a slideshow?

How can I play two songs in a slideshow? I want to have two songs play and iPhoto just repeats the same song twice. What can I do??

Make a playlist in iTunes with the songs you want, then chose that playlist for the slideshow.
    That should do it.

  • [All Platforms][Playlists] Adding multiple songs to 1 or more playlists...

Being able to select multiple songs at a time and then able to add them to a desired playlist/s after that would save an enormous amount of time..especially after saving over 100 songs before sorting them out.

  • Adding multiple songs to iTunes from the Finder

The way I usually add songs to iTunes is to select multiple songs at once from the Finder and then add them all to iTunes. Now in Lion when I have two or more items selected it only adds and opens one of them instead of copying all of them to the iTunes folder. How do I add them all from the Finder into iTunes to save me some time.
Also the default file opener for .m4a, .mp3 etc. was changed to Audacity for no reason when I upgraded to Lion. I had to manually change it back to iTunes.

Can you do it the other way?
Open iTunes and on the File menu is Add to Library where you can choose which ones to import.

  • Adding multiple audio tracks to slideshow

Just wondering if it's possible to add more than 1 audio track to a single slide show.
If not, is there a way in which I can combine different audio tracks and make one file out of multiple songs?
That way I could at one track to my slide show, containing a couple of songs I would like to be heard along with the photos.
    Thanks

First off, I am still using iMovie and iDVD version 4, so Apple may have changed stuff around from version 4 to version 6. But in general, I have the customize "drawer" open on the left of the screen. I then pick Media on the top and the pull down under that should be "Audio" (the other two choices being Photos and Movies).
I then have two windows below for iTunes. The top window shows all the playlists and the selection for "Library" which is for all songs. The bottom window shows the songs in the selection you picked above (everything if you selected Library or just the songs in a particular playlist).
The middle bar between the two windows has a little DOT you can grab and drag up or down see make either window larger, so if you don't see much of the top screen, grab it and make the top screen larger.
So first question is, do you see what I described above? And shown below?

  • Adding multiple songs to a single slideshow in LR3

         Hello!
So, I am trying to create a slideshow in Lightroom 3.4.1. I'm on a mac, and have been able to succesfully pull in a single song from my iTunes library. However, there are two issues:
    1. My slideshow is a bit long, and I would like to have 2-3 songs play during it. However, lightroom will only let me import one song. I even created a playlist in iTunes, then tried to import the whole playlist, but again, it would not let me. I could only import one song
    2. Some of my music in iTunes can be imported, but about 70% of my library is 'gray'--or not clickable. I can't figure out why some of my songs can be imported and some cannot.
    Thanks for any help!
    Ellen

You can't use more than one song.  If you want to, you'll have to use a tool to splice them together into a single file.
You can't use DRM-infected music in LR.

  • How do I add multiple songs to a Slideshow

My slideshow is about 2 to 3 songs in length. When adding music I can only figure out how to use one song for the background music. Rather than having the same song play over and over, is there any way I can select 3 songs to play one after the other.

    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
    FotoMagico $99
    Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

  • How Do I select Multiple songs to Use with Slideshow?

I am running Lightroom 4 on an iMac with OS - Lion. Love it!
I am trying to create a slideshow with music in the background but I cannot seem to select more than 1 song. How can I select multiple songs?
    Thanks

The slide show feature in Lightroom isn't really very flexible or feature packed.  I suspect the design was to provide professional photographers a quick way to show proofs to clients.  You will have to use other software for what you intend to accomplish.  I'm going to be creating a slide show with about 500 images soon.  My intention is to create the slide show with Lightroom and export as video.  Then I will use Premiere Elements and import the video and lay down the music track.  There are easier ways to do it, I know.  But I don't do this kind of thing very often and don't plan to purchase more software that would make it easier.

  • Can the slideshow on iPhoto play more than one song during the duration?

I have put together a slideshow for my grandfathers funeral.  I am trying to put it to music, but it will only allow me to use one song at a time from my iTunes, even after I have made a special playlist for this.  Help, I have to complete this by tonight.
    Thank you!

As King_Penguin correctly points out that iPhoto slide shows are one track only. But here is how I get around this limitation.
I purchased Amadeus. It's a music program that lets you record, copy, and edit music files. I make copies of all the songs I want to use in my slide show then combine them into one file in Amadeus. If you want to change music at a specific slide it can get a little tough figuring out the timing but it can be done.
Once you have the single music file arranged the way you want, save it and import it into iTunes. I find it best to make a new playlist with just the new file included. Then select the new playlist for your slideshow in iPhoto.

  • Help Please!  I've created a slideshow in iPhoto 09 and the first song just repeats 50 seconds into it.  How do I get the song to continue?

I've created a slideshow in iPhoto 09 and the first song just repeats 50 seconds into it.  How do I get the song to continue?

With iPhoto open click Help from the iPhoto menu bar top of your screen. From the drop down menu click iPhoto Help.
Type slideshow music  in the search field top right corner of that window.
You should see:   To add music to a slideshow    instructions.
