Adding music to I phone 5s

I have been able to add music to my Iphone %s until I updated the software to 8.2.
Now it will not allow me to add music from my PC.
Is there something I need to fix?

I connect the phone via usb, which launches itunes. The phone then syncs with outlook, contacts and events. 12.1.1.4 is itunes
Select "file" upper left corner of itunes, select "add file to library", select the mp3 file and select "open"
no error just doesn't add the file to my iphone.
I last added music around March 2, 2015, but haven't been able to add anything since.
Still have 321 songs and 18 GB free.

Problem adding music to my phone

When ever I try to add music to my phone, it prepares to sync but then skips syncing and say that it is copying diagnostic information and then goes back to try and sync. After that it trys to add the music then just deletes all the music I already had on my phone and will not let me put anything back on. I tried to see if it was a problem with my connectivity or the phoen it self but it said that everything was fine.

iTunes does not natively support players other than an iPod or iOS device. But you may be able to get direct support by using iTunes Agent. Give it a try; it may work for you. You'll need to consult your Samsung's documentation or Samsung support to find out what audio formats it supports. iTunes by default uses AAC, so if your Captivate won't support AAC, you'll need to convert your tracks, probably to MP3.

so i restored my phone because it had quit playing any sound out of the speaker. now after trying to re-add my music now of it will go on. i have tried syncing it and manually adding it, neither one works. nothing shows up on my phone under music, but in itunes when i drag music on it goes to puts them in the transfer stage (grey with the circle arrows) and they just stay like that never going on my phone

Are you seeing your music listed in the iPod screen, or in Win explorer as in your earlier post?
I can see all the songs in my Edrive>al's Ipod> Ipod Control> Music folder.
A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
You can try to borrow and use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile.

Adding music to N97 - Problem

Hello,
I get an error whenever i use the PC suite that I received on CD along with the phone. It fails when trying to install a driver called "MTP" something. However, I just added music manually without the program, but when I put it in the Music folder, I am unable to put the songs in album. So I now have 700 songs just randomly in the Music folder. Whenever I add another folder in Music, with the album name, it never makes it to the phone.
Why is that?

When you've added music to the phone manually, go into the music library and refresh it.

HT1386 I originally added music to my iphone under someone elses itunes account, now that I am trying to add under my own id, it is not showing on my phone...how can I fix this?

What do I need to do to get my music from my itunes library onto my phone? I originally added music from a diffnerent itues account, and now that I am trying to add from my own it will not transfer...however, in the bar on the bottom of itunes it shows that it is on my phone...but it does not display anywhere else and I cannot find it in my phone. As you connect your ipod to iTunes, an option in the upper right of the screen will appear. When you click this, it will show the different menu for your ipod.

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. I can no longer add music to my phone after using tones

I got a new iPhone 5C and I am trying to make tones for it. I used an app to make a tone and when I enable Synching Tones All Tones I can no longer add music to my phone through iTunes. When I try to drag and drop a music file the icon has a red circle with a line through it.

HT1386 Ever since updating my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.3, it refuses to sync and will not pick a song while trying to listen to music on my phone?

So, I thought it was great that apple came out with a new update to fix the bugs of iOS7, however it seems that it created more problematic bugs...
My iTunes is updated to the latest version, as is my iPhone. No matter how many times I plug it in to the computer it absolutely will not sync new music onto my phone. It says it is syncing, but in reality nothing on my phone has changed. No new music, nothing.
I have turned my computer on/off as well as my phone.
Also, no matter what it will not pick a song when I am 'trying' to listen to music on my phone. It just swipes through them all super fast and never stops! Why?!
Today, I updated my iPhone to iOS 7.0.4 and it didn't fix the issues.
Is there a way to fix this, or do I just have to wait until Apple comes out with a new update to fix it??

I have a very similar problem in Arizona, USA. Virgin Mobile is my carrier. Early in October, the phone seems to have lost it's 3G ability and is exceedingly hesitant to connect to any WiFi networks other than my home WiFi. I've spent countless hours on the phone with my service provider and they have escalated my problem to a higher tier tech group that is looking at the problem now. I've also called AppleCare to ask if I could revert to iOS 6 and was informed that Apple products, once and update has been added, are unable to revert or move backwards. AppleCare said they would like to just exchange my phone for a new one but I am 50 days outside the 1 year limited manufacturer warranty period. Virgin, of course, will not replace the phone for me despite this being a network problem. The responsibility of which should fall on their shoulders. My side of the contract is to pay and pay on time which I have always done. Their side is to provide the services promised at time of purchase and they have dropped the ball. Hope someone out there has an awesome suggestion that doesn't involve going into iTunes and tweaking it or jailbreaking the phone. Until then....namaste.

Added music track to video..entire screen is green and I cannot delete music track

I added music track to video, inadvertently dropped outside of clip now entire area outside of track is green and I can't remove or delete music.

i literally deleted the entire "Purchases" folder and restarted the phone. it recreated the folder (except without all our problem files) as soon as it powered back on.
no idea what downloads refers to - i tried this process with that folder and it didn't change anything or solve the prob.
as for the syncing of the playlist - i still don't think that would solve it. it seems like there is a discrepancy being created whenever a song is downloaded from the store, period. and as for deleting the stream files - no. I switched over to manual manage, deleted the files manually, but they simply recreated themselves as soon as i did another sync.
It was indeed the purchases folder that needed reconciling.
as a fun side note - i used phoneview to make a PDF of all my 60,000 texts from the previous 3 years, and then deleted them from my phone - saving myself like 10 gigs
realizing now this could all seem like i'm some rep for the phoneview app. i swear i'm not hahahaha

I had the similar problem last night and found a solution (although it takes more than a few clicks). Highlight all the album tracks in itunes on the pc and right click "get info". Check the artwork box in this window. I found that the now playing art was showing up in the itunes window, but on songs that were missing artwork showed nothing in the get info box. When I replaced the artwork by using the artwork command, or manually adding it into the "get info" window. It was annoying but my iphone updated every album.

Newly added music problem

I have a problem in the "newly added" playlist in Walkman. Whenever I open the newly added playlist after my phone is plugged in to my computer, the playlist shows older songs instead of the latest songs copied to my SD card.
Anyway, I am using Xperia SP. But this problem also occured on my Xperia Go with Jelly Bean update, so I think it's the software problem. Can anybody here give me the solution? I have tried to clear the data of the Walkman app but that doesn't help. Thanks.

How are you transferring your music to your phone? Are you using any program or do you simply copy and paste the files through the file explorer? Do you experience the same behavior if you move the music to the internal storage?

Bought a new i mac, but it doesn't have facility for CD's as they're being phased out. I still have lots of CDs with music I love on them, so want to somehow get this music into my new i mac & into my i phone for my art workshops.
My 'old' Macbook pro can take CD's but is unstable (on its 3rd HD! hence the new i mac purchase!) so I have been unwilling to build up my itunes library on the Macbook HD as I don't trust it.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated (as we are getting tired of hearing the same old tunes on the iphone...)

Cannot delete music off my phone that came from iCloud

I upgraded my phone and all of a sudden a bunch of music appears on my phone that was not there before and is NOT in my iTunes. Turns out that the music was purchased eons ago, somehow disappeared from my iTunes and then showed up on my phone because of the option in Settings to Show All Music.
So, I downloaded the music from the iCloud to the phone thinking I could then sync the phone with iTunes and the music would appear. No such luck. Tried adding the music to the one playlist on the phone but it would not do it.
I then figured out how to download purchased music to iTunes that had disappeared from iTunes. So now I have all of my music in iTunes. However, I cannot get these iCloud songs off my phone.
I changed my sync options in iiTunes to sync no music to the phone. After the sync, these few songs are still there.
I then created a playlist in iTunes that only included these stubborn songs. I included only this playlist in my sync and synced. I then unckecked this playlist so there was again no music on the phone and synced again. These songs will not go away.
What do I do?
