Adding new char in Bex global structure

Hi all,
I am trying to add a new char in already existing strucuture (of particular info-provider), how can I do that?
when I right click on structure, it does not give me any options (but save as). if I use "save as" option, I have to save as new structure... I do not want to create new one...but just want to change and add some more fields/chars in old one.
Thanks for you help,

  • Adding new key figure in Info structure

    Hi all,
    I am in a need to add a new key figure to our info structure here in my company.
    The way I understand it is, it would be best to create a NEW info structure and copy all existing key figure and characteristic and then insert my new key figure into this and rewrite the macro if required.
    So my question is
    1. How to determine which info structure is currently in use in my company? If i check in MC89 - the key figures match what is in Info structure S076. So is it safe to assume that we are using standard S&OP in my company? Is that a correct way to identify the currently used info structure?
    2. For our KMAT, when i open a planned order I see that there in another info structure (not S076) under configuration tab. So can we have diff info structure in use at a same time ?
    Please guide.
    Thanks,

    Hi Nisha,
    1. First of all, How would I determine which info structure is being used at this time in my company?
    I need to know this so that when I am creating my own custom (S500 - S999) info structure, i can copy the existing KFs and Characteristics and add them to my info structure and then Add a specific key figure on top of that.
    Info structures are nothing but tables so in se16 you can check which are Info structures are having update values.
    Yes you can add the specific key figure on existing self defined info structure in MC22 after that you need to generate it.
    2. Can multiple info structure be in 'use' at the same time in any scenario?
    For self defined info structure are application specific you can not have multiple info structure for same scenario. If you take the example of flexible planning with self defined info structure then you can transfer the demand from only one info structure.

  • Adding new variables to bex analyzer

    hi experts,
    i have a requirement to add 2 more variables to my report in bex analyzer. can any body explain me how to add two more variables to my report because i am new to bi
    thanks and regards
    pedamarla

    Hi,
    Once you have opened the query in the bex query designer,
    follow these steps :
    1. Go to the desired infoobject for which you want to create a variable.
    2. For the particular infoobject you would find a sub folder which is characteristic value variables.
    3. Right click and say New Variable
    4. Double click on that variable and give a technical name to the variable according to the requirement.
    5. Select the type of variable i.e. Default, Replacement path, Customer Exit or authorization.
    Depending on the type of variable selected you can fill in the other tabs.
    -> Default value would be used for user input and you can use the details tab.
    -> Replacement path is used when you want to refer some other variable or query and you can use
    the replacement path tab.
    -> Customer exit is used when you have created a customer exit and you want to use it to fulfill your requirement
    -> Authorization variable is used to provide security to users at the query level.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Kartik

  • Convert BeX query Global structure to local structure

    Hi Experts,
    How to convert a BeX query Global structure to local structure?  Can anyone give the Steps involved.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Namrata.

    Hi Sanchana,
    BeX query Global structure to local StructureSteps:
    In a local structure when you want to add structure elements that are unique to the specific query. Changing the global structure changes the structure for all the queries that use the global structure. That is the reason you go for a local structure.
    Coming to the navigation part->In the BEx Analyzer-> from the SAP Business Explorer toolbar---> choose the open query icon (icon that looks like a folder) ->On the SAP BEx Open dialog box->Choose Queries--->Select the desired InfoCube --->Choose New.
    In the Define the query screen->In the left frame-> expand the Structure node.
    Drag and drop the desired structure into either the Rows or Columns frame->Select the global structure->Right-click and choose Remove reference.A local structure is created.
    Remember that you cannot revert back the changes made to global structure in this regard. You will have to delete the local structure and then drag n drop global structure into query definition.When you try to save a global structure, a dialogue box prompts you to confirm changes to all queries.
    Hope this info helps..

  • Adding New Org Units to Existing Organization Structure

    Hi,
    There is a change in the Org Structure, i.e we are adding new Org Units(Personnel Sub areas) to the existing Structure and creating postions to the newly created Org Units using PP01. Now my question is what are all things need to be configured with respect to Payroll, for the newly created PSA.
    Rgds
    Ram

    Hi Ramakrishna,
    Please be more clearer. PSAs are not org units. PSA belong to enterprise structure, whereas Org Unit belong to Org Structure. When you create new positions under the Org Units tht have been assigned to a PSA, PA, Company Code, Cost Center and Controlling area combination, you would have to set the following.
    Group your PSA for,
    Primary Wage Types
    Premium
    Work Schedule
    Time Recording
    Absence Attendence Type.
    Assign Tax Area to a PSA(If it is US Payroll).
    Any more suggestions from experts?

  • Added new fields in vendor master in xk01 but data is not getting saved

    Hi experts,
    To add new fields in vendor master i have followed the following steps :
    1.) Appended a structure ZRTGS in LFA1 table with required fields and activated
    2.) Added new button in xk01( vendor master ) using spro -> logistics-general -> business partner -> vendors ->
    control ->adoption of customer's owaster data fields -> prepare modification free-enhancement of vendor master record
    Created a screen group ZR and defined label tab pages with function code ZRTGS and saved entries
    3.) Created a implementation for BADIs VENDOR_ADD_DATA and VENDOR_ADD_DATA_CS.
    4.) Created a program with my own subscreen for the required fields
    The button is getting displayed in XK01, XK02 and XK03 respectively. Whenever the button is clicked the subscreen with
    the fields is also displayed. But whenever i try to save the data in either XK01 or XK02 it is not getting saved in to the
    database table LFA1.
    Request your help in this regard.

  • Adding new fields to the data flow

    Hi,
    I am currently planning to add some new fields in one DSO and map it (with info source) in the update rules.
    Will adding new fields to Info source - Comm. structure affect all the update rules connected to it?
    The info source is connected to multiple DSO.
    (The data source is currently under enhancement for these fields). Once this is done, we have to replicate it to BW.
    Thanks,
    Naveen

    yes.
    Once the enhancement is done for data source in r/3 side, you will have to replicate the datasource in BW.
    Adding new fields will deactivate the update rules. You have to map the same in update rule and activate the same.
    This will require activation of  transformations, update rules, etc for related DSOs. Try to find out the where used list for the DSO where you want to add the new objects. Then check each objects whether these are activate after the changes. If these are inactive, you will have to activate all the objects.
    Cheers

  • TableSorter errors when adding new data

    * TableSorter is a decorator for TableModels; adding sorting
    * functionality to a supplied TableModel. TableSorter does
    * not store or copy the data in its TableModel; instead it maintains
    * a map from the row indexes of the view to the row indexes of the
    * model. As requests are made of the sorter (like getValueAt(row, col))
    * they are passed to the underlying model after the row numbers
    * have been translated via the internal mapping array. This way,
    * the TableSorter appears to hold another copy of the table
    * with the rows in a different order.
    * <p/>
    * TableSorter registers itself as a listener to the underlying model,
    * just as the JTable itself would. Events recieved from the model
    * are examined, sometimes manipulated (typically widened), and then
    * passed on to the TableSorter's listeners (typically the JTable).
    * If a change to the model has invalidated the order of TableSorter's
    * rows, a note of this is made and the sorter will resort the
    * rows the next time a value is requested.
    * <p/>
    * When the tableHeader property is set, either by using the
    * setTableHeader() method or the two argument constructor, the
    * table header may be used as a complete UI for TableSorter.
    * The default renderer of the tableHeader is decorated with a renderer
    * that indicates the sorting status of each column. In addition,
    * a mouse listener is installed with the following behavior:
    * <ul>
    * <li>
    * Mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and advances the sorting status of that column through three
    * values: {NOT_SORTED, ASCENDING, DESCENDING} (then back to
    * NOT_SORTED again).
    * <li>
    * SHIFT-mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and cycles the sorting status of the column through the same
    * three values, in the opposite order: {NOT_SORTED, DESCENDING, ASCENDING}.
    * <li>
    * CONTROL-mouse-click and CONTROL-SHIFT-mouse-click: as above except
    * that the changes to the column do not cancel the statuses of columns
    * that are already sorting - giving a way to initiate a compound
    * sort.
    * </ul>
    * <p/>
    * This is a long overdue rewrite of a class of the same name that
    * first appeared in the swing table demos in 1997.

    The code you posted doesn't help us at all. Its just a duplicate of the code from the tutorial. The custom code is what you have written. For example do you update the TableModel from the Event Thread? Do you update the SortModel or the DefaultTableModel? If you actually provide your test code and somebody has already downloaded the sort classes, then maybe they will test your code against the classes. But I doubt if people will download the sort classes and create a test program just to see if they can duplicate your results (at least I know I'm not about to).

  • How to add a new char in Update rule

    Hi Gurus:
    I copied update rules from an old cube. This new cube is a copy of old cube - almost.
    One of the char is missing in the new cube when compared to old cube. There is a small update routine for that char which I need to introduce to new cube.
    My problem is, I'm not able to figure out how to add the new char in the update rule & start the mapping process..
    Thanks & Regards

    Dear Bhanu: This is what happened.
    When I copied - it defaulted this char with what present in comm structure. Basically the old cube has a routine for this char...
    And the position of this char in the update rule for chars..got realigned.
    I'm sorry - I should have check it properly.
    Thanks a LOT for your time & input...I will assign the points

  • ADDING NEW FIELDS IN me21n

    Hi Gurus,
               m added 5 custom fields in PO header customer data.
    for tht, include of EKKO added 5 fields.
    m using enhancement MM06E005 for screen layout and updation,'
    1) EXIT_SAPMM06E_007   (PAI) - Export data
    2) EXIT_SAPMM06E_006   (PBO)
    3) EXIT_SAPMM06E_008   Import data.
    In screen layout added all the fields from dictionary.
    Question:
             Now i want to update data in EXIT_SAPMM06E_008 --> E_CI_EKKO-ZLEVR ,
    BUT i cant able to assign values to this EXIT_SAPMM06E_008 enhancement.
    throwing error EKKO is unknown.
    please suggest me the flow. how to update data.
    where to assign and initialise.
    Thanks and Regards
    Vinayak  Sapkal

    Hi,
       problem solved... m using global structure EKKO_CI and on screen all field name given like
    EKKO_CI-zlevr,EKKO_CI-zmdsp....
    there is no req. of Import n Export if using EKKO_CI structure...
    Just pass this structure value in Import exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_008.
    E_CI_EKKO is changing.so value will be save in EKKO table.
    IF EKKO_CI-ZLEVR IS NOT INITIAL.
          E_CI_EKKO-ZLEVR = EKKO_CI-ZLEVR.
    ENDIF.
    Thanks all you guys for your suggestions...
    Thanks and Regards

  • Adding new fields to assignment block, what are the steps to do this.

    CRM 7.
    Could someone tell me what the steps are to add new fields to specifdic assignment block. Assume that these fields do not already exist in any given structure/table.
    My understanding is that I need to use transaction EEWB and then somehow use the component  "BSP_DLC_FS" and view "factsheet". But having never used EEWB before I'ma tad lost.  I'm in EEWB and have crfeated a project and believe that I now need to create an extension. When doing this I am displayed a box with 4 fields, being: Name, Description, EEW Bus object and Extension type. What are my next steps?
    I assume that the EEW bus object is 'BUPA' and the extension type is 'ADD_NEW_FIELDS'. However, how do I know for sure that the EEW bus object should be 'BUPA', bearing in mind that I'm adding new fields to the Account (BP) main address communication data Assignemnt block?.
    I wondered if anyone has a link to any guide docuemnt about how to do this?.
    Any help would be very much appreciated.
    I attempted to use EEWB to add new fields to BUPA but am hitting the error: BDT-DC is Not Prepared for This Application Object
    On searching I can see that there are ways around this, via SM30 against table/view V_TBZ1_DC, changing the BDT BC settings, whatever they are. But it gives me a warning when this happens and mentions that only SAP are allowed to do this, but it will allow me to create a transport if I press on past this. Should I need to make this change though, or have I just done something wrong within EEWB I wonder.
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
    You can try using Application Enhancement Tool (AET) to create new fields instead of EEWB,

  • Maintaining operating concern after adding new value field

    Hello,
    I added a new value field to our live operating concern,maintained the data structure throguh KEA0(Maintain operating concern).The changes are transported from Development to Quality,Changes were reflected in Q system.After testing in Q system transports were pushed to production system.The new value field is added to the operating concern. When i check the log for KEA0 in production system it displayed one message like:
    Field VV088 was added to the reference structure
    Message no. KE782.You probably either  changed the operating concern or SAP-EIS aspect, and added the field VV099 to the definition.
    The added a CO-PA value field:
    In this case, the field is added to the definition or the summarization levels. This invalidates all existing levels. Consequently, you need to activate them again and fill them with data.
    In production system maintaining operating concenr or KEAO is only in display mode.Is it needed to regenerate the operating concern once again in production, how to do it. Is the message talking about the KEDV summarization levels.?
    thanks
    rahul

    Hi,
    No no ....KEDV is nothing to do here....that is creation of summarization in CO-PA.
    Since you added new value field you necessarily have to Regenerate the operating concern...
    Use Tcode KEA0...go to Environment tab...there the status of Cross client part  and client specific part both will be in RED....now just click on the Cross client (candle button)...now the system would regenerate the operating concern...once it is over do the same for the client specific...
    Beware when you do regenerate the operating concern no body can enter any transaction in that server since it is cross client table ...hence better do it after business hours.
    Hope this helps!
    Running KEDU with rebuild is relevant only when you already have created summarization and called up the same in the CO-PA report "options" tab. If you did not created the summarization you are nothing to do with KEDU.
    Next: The new value field has to be transported to PRD and hence even in PRD we have to do the regeneration manually.

  • Adding new fields in the layout.

    Hi gurus,
    I have a requirement in which i need to change the layout of a report v.25 through transaction VOKF. Actually i have added one field VDATU in the table VBMTV and the fields of this table are getting displayed in the output but not all fields. so through the transaction VOKF a variant has been created with some fields and there is also option for additional fields addition. But the field which I have added new through append structure doesnt appear in the possible value fields.
    So do anyone have any solution for this or if anyone has ever encountered this type of issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    I have added the field VDATU in the Structure VBMTV and the structure is active. This field is getting filled in the my Standard report and and is displayed only when change the layout after displaying the output.My requirement i need this field by default in the output.

  • Adding custom field in pricing condition structure (BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI)

    Hi,
    I need to add a custom field (ZCITY) to the structure : CRMT_ACS_H_COM and I need to populate this field in the BADI: CRM_COND_COM_BADI in the method : HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
    However, my concerns are:
    1. How to add the new field to this pricing structure? Is there any specific procedure to do that?
    2. And once the field is added and populated with the value in BADI, where the pricing calculation takes place based on this custom field?  Do we need to to implement any other BADI's or any pricing routines? I am little confused here.
    Could you please help me on this?
    Bottom line is : A custom field calles ZCITY needs to be added to the pricing structure and freight cost determination should take place based on this new field ZCITY.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
    if the field is used in the condition download from ECC please also check SAP note 514952.
    1. The field is added via the field catalogue maintenance at IMG: Customer Relationship Management -> Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Define Settings for Pricing -> Maintain Field Catalog. As you save or generate the field catalogue the structure will be updated with your field.
    2. Whether you need to implement a JAVA routine for the pricing of this particular condition is defined in the corresponding pricing procedure.
