Adding new fonts to Symbian Anna on E6

I wonder to know how to adding new fonts to Symbian Anna on my E6. Most of my Word and PowerPoint documents require some special fonts, such as Courier News, in order to display correctly.
Does anyone know the solution?

There is solution demonstrated for E7, N8, C7 & C6-01 but not yet seen E6 mentioned in this respect.

Strangely enough even though I had gotten the " Install failed....Mac OS X could not be installed on your computer....The install could not copy the necessary support files" I had left it on the screen and left the room for awhile. I walked back into my computer room a few minutes ago and the window on the screen stated that the SL OS 10.6.4 had successfully installed. I am now very carefully checking things out to make sure the fonts are where they should be. With the exception of some updating it appears all may be well.
PS. Below is a note I was writing to Kurt (also assisting me) to try and detail what had happened. Added it in case it could be of any value to you

Thank you for response. following is series of events to my best recollection.
I would typically not have been this stupid/ignorant but was doing this in a hurry with someone asking me questions...wasn't paying attn. to what I was doing
• downloaded new fonts
• opened downloaded fonts, clicked font icons to open and install them.
• typed "fonts" in spotlight (with the intention of moving new fonts into font folder)The Spotlight results window revealed 5 or 6 font folders. I ignorantly started to try a clean up by installing all fonts into a single folder (not thinking about system fonts)
Sometimes when you are moving a folder the window you moved it from will jump around..well this occurred and I mistakenly released the folder on the desk top. This caused a copy to be made. After some investigation I realized it was a copy of the required system fonts that were still located in the original "spotlight results" window.
• I attempted to delete the copy..when I did an administrator password box appeared I entered the password and the result was both system font folders were deleted (the original & the desk top copy I erroneously made)
• Now windows open but are blank with sometimes faded mini sized icons. If I click one of the mini icons i get a new blank window. I am unable to give any instruction, have total blank menus, dialog boxes, etc.

Issue with adding new fonts in Lion

I'm trying install two new fonts on my Mac Book Air and cannot get it to allow me to add them to the Font Book. (I've just successfully added the same fonts on to my Mac Book Pro which runs Snow Leopard, so this is definitely a Lion issue.)
I've created a new font library and then tried adding the fonts to it but it refuses to validate the font saying that '1 serious error was found. Do not use.' Any ideas of how to remedy this as I urgently need to use the font?

I am using af:richTextEditor in a web page. The font-family drop down inside af:richTextEditor components contains some font.
I want to add some more font (e.g verdana,century etc) in that font-family drop down.
Is it possible to add some extra fonts in the richTextEditor font family.

Keynote 2 and adding new fonts?

I have suddenly been designated slide producer in a Mac
world. I am a computer illiterate. A coworker sent a
series of slides to put into a program. When I opened his
slides I received message of "Missing Fonts" Amienee and Arnprior.
The Keynote flag that appeared said to include missing fonts, add them to your Fonts folder, then quit and reopen Keynote. I can't seem to drag, drop, or other wise move these fonts, nor do I know how to find them....are they Microsoft things; I don't have any Microsoft on my machine.
Can anyone help me solve this puzzle?

Not sure about Aminee, though. You should contact the person who sent you the file to find out what fonts were used.
With a presentation in Keynote, however, it is best to either use the fonts included in MacOSX and Keynote for consistency. If you are sharing files which have fonts that are specific and not included in the system or program, make sure they are included whenever you transfer the presentation to another computer, to prevent this kind of situation from happening.
When you have the font, doubleclicking on it should open fontbook, and it will prompt you to install it.

You need to contact your local Nokia Care and ask them whether they have the language pack for your device. It can't be done by the User ...

Symbian Anna missing split screen keyboard / no sp...

Dear Nokia,
It's very good news to have symbian anna in my phone, nokia n8. IT's very well build.
However, in my country product code, Malaysia, I dont have split screen keyboard appear in every section that should appear in firmware. I have clean all my phone state in zero apps and i flash my n8 with symbian anna together with 1gb memory card content which means i have fresh , pure symbian anna without any system disturbances.
I update all symbian anna packages in software update, but split screen doesnt appear in most of my country variant.
Returning back to old PR 1.2, what we had was no smart dialler to easy contact calling. Then in symbian anna again, we still missing split screen keyboard which had been promised to be in symbian anna.
I have waited this feature for almost 8 months, but misssing this split screen is kind of dissappointment to us.
I need full explaination how exactly this missing feature happen, I wrote this not for myself, but for whole people who still miss split screen keyboard. I have fresh symbian anna, 0 apps installed, empty memory card, resulting no software conflicts.
THANKS YOU for Symbian Anna and we still waiting for this missing feature.

If you install a firmware version which does not support Chinese, you get split screen activated. I have tested both Thailand and Indian versions, both working with split screen.

This is very upsetting! Ten months of waiting, this is what Nokia has given us? This silly reason behind not including split-keyboard in our FW variant is not even a reason at all!
It's an obviously missing feature, and they seem to have not mentioned of this in any of their marketing videos or pages. Should have at least put a disclaimer saying it's not available for us. *Misrepresentation*

C7 symbian Anna 2/2 again...

Today my phone showed me two new updates: the Symbian Anna service pack and Symbian Anna 2/2. This is strange because I updated my phone to SA a month ago or so and it seemed to me that both parts were installed at that time. Does my phone show this update in error or is it a legitimate update that I should install?

anna service pack is a new additional update for symbian anna, when i updated mine with the service pack, my phone operate well and faster, no hanging. But the anna 2 of 2, may be u did not update it earlier after the symbian anna update. So i would advice u to do the update.

so i added new font to sap using se73 t-code. but some are missing, for example i can't use bold...

For SE73, on screen
There is a button 'True Type-Font Importian'.
On pressing this button you will go to next screen.
Give unique name of font and .ttf file of your computer.
If you select Bold or Italic, select different font file respectivly.
and Execute.
Fonts are centralized for SAP.
if you are not authorized to do cross-client activity, it will not allow you.
Usually Basis Team does this for developers.

Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna cannot add new maps

Hi,
Monday October 24, 2011, I received the new Symbian Anna software update for the NAM version. All my installs went correctly except when I try to download in Ovi Map to "Add New Maps".
I can't "Add New Maps" with the update from my device or throught Nokia Ovi suite.
The error message in Ovi Map from my device is: "Could not download list!"
The error message in Nokia Ovi Suite is: "Couldn't connect to the service"
" There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service."
"If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later."
Now it seems the problem to be not solve since because I still have the same message when I try again.
I would like to know what happen? Why I can't download new maps for the Ovi Map?

It happens, even with the new Nokia Suite from Beta Labs, atleast the Software Updater issue has been resolved, please see images attached for the error on both the Old Ovi Suite and the New Nokia Suite......

I still can´t install new Symbian ANNA, my Ovi Suite and N8 still writte "No updates availeble". I tried every option, which is avaible for update, but answer is still the same : "No updates availeble". Do you know, where is problem and how can I fix it?

US typically gets the updates late because the laws there require certain additional software. For example, there the phones are required to transmit GPS data to 911 if the phone is capable of doing so, in other countries this piece of software is unneeded. Thats just one thing I can remember off the top of my head apart from the info that AFAIK software will also have to be approved by the FCC over there before it gets released.

Clarification on 025.007 for Symbian Anna products

Hi all,
as you might have noticed we started rolling out a new update version for the Symbian Anna products.
025.007 only contains some error fixes and is therefore not a mandatory update for N8/C7/C6-01/E7/E6/X7. This means, that not all countries/operators will test and approve this version. The rollout is happening in waves, depending on lcoal testing and approval. If you want to get a notification when the update is available for your phone, please switch on the software update auto check. (You can find it under Options in your phone’s Software Update App.)

I received a symbian Anna service pack of size 1040KB which when installed did not change the version to 025,but said it was meant for usability improvements.It will give me better scrolling in messages and help me get quick location info on photos plus more(it was not mentioned what exactly is this "plus").However it added conversation appl, java run time and conversation server to my installed files list.

Skyee Hi, thanks for your answer but my phone is password Hungary but bought in Greece, if we pass to Anna through the ovi suites will miss the Greek language, so I'm asking if you know when it will come through or if local OTA Why is the only way of installation without loss of the Greek language.
