  • E72 get the mail adress of the sender

    Hi,
On my Nokia E72 configured with Mail For Exchange and IMAP account (Gmail), how could I get the mail adress of the sender... I've got the display name (Jack Noname) but I'm unable to see his mail address ([email protected]). Am I obligated to add the contact to my contact book to have access to his mail adress? Is there a shortcut or a shortkey to retrieve the full mail address.
When I scroll to the right and click on Contact Detail, I've go an error message which say that  "email adress not available". It append with all the sender who are not in my contact book.
    Could someone help me please?

  • Mail & Adress Book: issues sending group mail - Problem solved

I started writing this discussion because I could not get something to work. As I wrote it, I made many tests to confirm what I was writing and also read several past discussions on the subject. I ended up solving my problem and decided to share my findings. Hope it is useful to other people.
EMAIL TO A GROUP WITH ALL RECIEPIENTS SHOWING IN THE «TO» HEADER - My problem solved
    SENDING FROM THE MAIL APPLICATION:
To start do the following:  Mail/Preferences/Composing  check «Show members of a group»
Then for a group name with two or more words OR wit a one word group name, start writing the group name in the «TO» header of an email wait until the « () » appears highlithed in a color as you slowly write the Address Book group name and then select the group name from the scroling list appearing below which comes from your Adress Book (whether it's open or not). If you choose in a selection list before the « () » appears as you type, you could end up with an empty list and the group email does not work. When the « () » does not yet appear but the group name does below, it most likely will not work but if you scroll down you may find a second one that will.  The whole thing is wear but once you get the hang of it you make it work everytime.
SENDING FROM THE ADDRESS BOOK APPLICATION:
If you try to send the email to a group from the application ADRESS BOOK by pressing «ctrl» & right clicking the name of the group and select «Send an email to GROUP-NAME», it will work also. But the group name must not have a space before its name in the Address Book (one could decide to do this to have a group to appear at the top of a list of groups). The latter was my problem and sending from the address book application did not work.
EMAIL TO A GROUP WITH «UNDISCLOSED RECIPIENTS» SHOWING IN THE «TO» HEADER  - My problem solved
First one has to uncheck the «Show members of a group» in Mail/Preferences/Composing
Second strat a new email and proceed as described above in «1.»  in the second and third paragraph.
As suggested in one discussion, if you still can not get it to work try closing your Mail and Address Book applications and re-open them.
As suggeted in another discussion by Ernie Stamper on May 15 2009 in the «Can't send an email to a group»:
«In Mail Preferences/Composing, select to Show members of a group, and then compose a message (no need to send for this test) using the group address -- do the 9 addresses show in the message header? If so, then report the name of the provider of the SMTP you are using. It might be that they do not allow the Group in the To -- when working correctly, the recipient sees only Undesignated Recipients in the header.»
    I'm using Mac OS X 10.7.5 and Mail 5.3 (1283) on an iMac 2009

  • Adding e-mail adress

I lost my BB in a lake over the weekend.  The insurance sent me a replacement phone.  I am in the process of setting it up and I can get the email set up.  When I get to email setup the only options are to Skip email setup or setup email with a Enterprise Server.  I just want to add my email address but I can't seem to find that option.  Please help!
    Thanks!!

need to make sure your carrier provisioned your new device properly... need a BB data plan
also log into your BIS website. There is an option to change device... which will ask you for your new device PIN and IMEI (options- status)
then push service books.. this will send your emails to your device already added.

  • Lost emoji after adding new mail account

I have a Japanese iPhone it is not JB as i live in Japan.
I have added my hotmail account to my iPhone email and since doing so I have lost my emoji keyboard.
    Why??????

Today I too tried to add a new Apple Mail account and when I press the + I get nothing! I have my home account and gmail account working fine, but preferences and "file add account" both do nothing. This question is left unanswered from previous user. Can someone please give us advice?

  • I have changed my Apple-ID to a new mail-adress. But I have not managed to change the adress in iCloud in my iPhone. The iPhone just asks for my password to the old Apple-Id.

    Hi!
I have changed my Apple-ID to a new mailadress. But I have not been able to change the iCloud-adress in my iPhone. The iPhone just asks for my password to the old Apple-ID.  Can anyone help?

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Sending Mail: To internal mail adress OK, external mail address KO

    Hi everybody,
I guess this is no XI/PI problem, but I hope some of you had the same problems.
When we are using mail receiver adapter sending an internal mail is OK but if we use an external mail adresse like mister.sample@gmx. de the mail is not received.
We used different external mail adresses to obiate that the problem is not the external mail server.
    We use inhause LOTUS NOTES.
The mail adapter uses the mail package.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Regards
    mario

    Hi Ravi,

=========================================================================Do we have to make any changes on other config files except the imta.cnf and mappings file for inbound and outbound..
    thanks for any help
    Edited by: prasad0_0 on Jul 8, 2008 4:58 AM

i have already setup the messaging server 6 months back.. followed the same procedure to route mails to a gateway..
made changes to the imta.cnf for outbound mail flow to the tcp_local and mappings file to accept inbound mail flow from the gateway. Its working perfectly on the older setup, but this now, have issues with new setup.
    here is the imta.cnf file..

  • Email discarded; not an allowed sender

I'm the executive tech support for my company and the email addresses on one of my executive's allowed senders list are not registering as allowed all of a sudden.
I deleted the printer and readded it to the profile and  put the addresses back in, but no luck.  It will print when it receives internet email addresses like GMAIL, but something has changed with how it sees our corporate email addresses. (Exchange)
Allowing all senders works but that's not a solution for a major executive of a company.
What changed?  He has 2 HP E Print capable printers and they both now do this.  One is at his house, and one is in our office.  All firmware is upgraded and up to date.
    HP Officejet 8500A
    HP Lasejet 1536
Something definitely is screwy with the service itself right now.
    Please help.. .

Not sure what happened to my account, but it'snot allowing me to get in or reset my password - so I had to create a new one.
Anyway... I checked the email address and although my email address is in the allowed sender list, it is being read differently and has a long string of characters in front of it now.
    For example:
[email protected] is in the allowed list.
But when you send a job as [email protected], it gets discarded.  I checked the job history and it says,
not an approved sender prv=[email protected]
So guess what... I added that long string to the list of approved senders and tried it again and it printed.
So either the service now has an issue with how it recognizes Exchange email addresses
    OR
something has changed within our Exchange email addresses
I'm working with 2 printers, one in the office, and the other at a residence and they both do the same thing.
..... our email engineer just called and he thinks its our email addresses.  So at least I know how to get around the issue for now.
    Thanks.

  • All new mail accounts fail

We are putting new mail accounts on an existing server, some users have accounts and we are adding new mail accounts for them in addition to their old accounts in the info section of the user account tab. Other new users are getting new mail accounts.
    Problem...
All new mail accounts are not setting up correctly you cannot connect and also any mail delivered to the accounts comes back as user not found.
I have checked the Admin > Server > Access > Allow all users and groups
    The logs look like this...
Oct 6 09:46:36 mail postfix/smtpd[1208]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from mail.*******.org.uk[**.**.**.**]: 550 <pete@******.co.uk>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table; from=<support@*******.co.uk> to=<pete@******.co.uk> proto=ESMTP helo=<mail.******.org.uk>

    Any Idea's anyone ?

  • Changes to filter list allowed senders causes errors and emails to stop

    Hi,
Running Forefront 2010 and Exchange 2007
When I change filter settings including allowed sender list and then press save my email system crashes and I see numerous errors in the event log such as:
7011 - none of the antimalware engines selected for real time scanning have been initialized
5314 - could not initialize spyware scanner
I can eventually force it back into life by restarting the Forefront Server Protection Service (that includes MS Exchange Info store and transport services) - actually a restart fails and they all need a manual restart.
Is this a "feature" or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Julian

  • Can't receive new mail from hotmail

Okay, so I got my MacBook Air two days ago and everything has been running fine, except for the fact that in the Mail app I can't receive email from my hotmail account past a certain point. When it goes to receive new mail for the account it lists itself as receiving 2320 incoming messages. I know that this figure is too high, perhaps about double what it should be getting from the account. However, the main problem lies in the fact that the Mail app only ever receives 455 of those messages, which leaves me missing pretty much every email I've received this year. The Mail app works fine for receiving new emails from my university email account (which uses pod51000.outlook.com for its incoming mail server, as opposed to hotmail's pop3.live.com). I've looked through the online support pages and looked for people having a similar problem here, but neither of these have been of any real help. I have no idea what the problem could be, so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
If any additional information would be helpful then I'd be more than happy to provide it.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
