Adding one more selection field in the standard data source

Hi SAP Gurus,
I'd like to know how to add one field as a selection field for the data source.I used 0FI_GL_4 Datasource .It has 2 selection.Now I want to add one more field as a selection field .How to mark that field as selection?I tried by using RSA6 ,But I'm unable to change the previous selection.
Please let me know how to fix it?

Pradip,
when ever you create any Generic DS, you can find generic DS(I checked this), comming append fields(it's happend to me)... there is no meaning.. as we know... we will extract the data for append fields using existing DS.
Comming Raju:
to my knowledge, you should not add that field as selection enabled(wait for others posts). I had seen many posts for working on this... by updating the Table ROOSFIELD table for the respective DS. I never implemented this... if you update this using any custom program be careful. Ihave ccreated the program for append fields not for Standard Extractor.

Unable to Select Fields in Business Content Data Source - 0CO_OM_CCA_9

I have a situation here whereby I need to select certain field in Datasource OCO_OM_CCA_9 .... but I noticed it is all disabled please advise how can I enable them .... this is in development.

To select fileds in the datasource OCO_OM_CCA_9 , use the following steps
1. in tcode RSA6 , find OCO_OM_CCA_9 , and click on change datasource.
2. Deselct checkbox of "Hidden" and apply check on "Field Only" for the fileds you want to see .
3. Go to Datasource menu - click Generate
4. go back and actiavate the datasource.
5. then check in RSA3 if fields are coming.

Enhancing the standard Data source without deleting setup tables

Hi all,
I am in the the Support Project. My requirement is I want to Enhance u201C2LIS_13_VDITMu201D LO- data source with two fields without disturbing the delta.
Please suggest me how I have to do this.
As Per my Knowledge ,
1. we have to delete setup tables
2. Enhance the data source & re populate the setup tables.
3. Delete the data in the cube & add the two new fields in the cube & repopulate the cube with new Initial .
4. after that delta will be enabled through job control.
But this process is not suitable for our requirement because delta was enabled long back it is going very smooth till date, I donu2019t want to disturb that process.
So please suggest me is there any other procedure to do this.

Hi,
If historical data (loaded earlier in to BW) are not required for the two enhance field, then it is not required to deleted the setup table and reload them to BI.
In this case simply you can follow the following procedure.
1. Enhance the fields, and update the transfor structure(to unhide these fields). In BI update the required data target with respective IO. and in exit populate the enhance fields. No need to disturb the delta
2. Replicated the DS in BI and do the mappings in tranformation.
Here the existing delta is working, and you will be populating the two fields in the exit only.

Standard Data Source for FMGLFLEXT Table

Hello Friends,
The standard data source for the Financials New Legder is 0FI_GL_10 General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances, which fetches the data from the FAGLFLEXT Table using the Extract Structure FAGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD. However there has been a migration of the FAGL table to FMGL table. And now the FAGLFLEXT is no longer populated with any FI postings data. And the new table which is getting the update is the FMGLFLEXT Table. GL Migration from FAGL to FMGL is a standard procedure. However I am not finding any Standard Data Source to fetch the data from the FMGLFLEXT Table.
Can anybody let me know if there is any standard datasource for this or should we create a custom data source to fetch the data from FMGLFLEXT using the FMGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD Extract Structure.
Appreciate help in this regard.

The requirement is resolved by the following:
If you want to use your own totals table (in this scenario FMGLFLEXT) as your basis, you first have to create the corresponding extraction structure using transaction FAGLBW01. In this way, all fields of the totals table are transferred into the extraction structure. Further In the OLTP system, call up transaction FAGLBW03 and Configure the DataSource and save your settings.

you want to extract the vendor information through the business content then go through the following navigation...
T.code RSA5 -> MM-IO (Master data Materials Management in general) -> 0VENDOR_ATTR or 0VENDOR_LKLS_HIER or 0VENDOR_TEXT these three are the standard data source for vendor.

Not able to Find Some BOM Related Standard Data Sources in PP.

I am not able to find the Standard Data Sources for Loading the Master Data for the Following Standard Info Objects
1. 0BOM
2. 0COMPONENT
3. 0HG_LV_ITEM
I have activated the objects in BW side, but not able to find the data sources to Get the Data from.Kindly help me out regarding this issue.

I believe this information is all stored within "AddressSnapshot" BusinessObjects, but to my knowledge, there is no data source for these.
I think what you're looking for will actually be Business Transaction specific. For example, are you looking for the Ship-To location for Sales Orders, or are you looking for the receiving address for Purchase Orders, or are you looking for Customer address information, etc.
Address information will generally be included as a section of the higher level data source corresponding to specific transactions or master data.
What are you trying to use this information for?

Adding field in the standard report

i have added the one field in the standard transaction VL06 , in the outboud deliveries report according to the Note 605460. I have to add the field in LIPOV structure.
after adding that field(include structure), in output i am not getting that added field.

I have the same problem. I have added the field in the field catalog and the field in the final internal table also.
But sometimes its displayed and sometime not.

while adding fields to the standard Report. (Ver ECC 6.0)
in QA32 Tcode, after executing it will generate a report there i hv to add it.
I could find structure of that main final table, i hv appended desired field also,
Now im looking into Enhancement spot for it, is there any method to do it.

this is the exact answer for your question.
Go to the inclide RQALVF14 in this there is a perform call_listviewer_f14, in this the output is displaying using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY function module . before this do like this ..
modify the output table p_object_tab like this .
the output table is of structure QALS_D02 you can extend this by appending a structure with the custom fields and there is an enhancement ( i have checked it) in this routine call_listviewer_f14 in RQALVF14. Create an enhancement in this routine at the start of the routine and modify the output table using your custom code in it , then you wil get the data as well as fields into fieldcatalog,.

Questions on adding z fields to the standard extractor, Please reply !!!

We have 0material, 0customer in our daily process chains where we do full loads daily, now we need to make that delta loads so that we can reduce the time of the execution of the pc. I know that these extractors can be delta enables but the problem is we have a few z fields for these extractors, like 20 fields for 0material and 3 fields for 0customer and currently we are doing full loads for these 2 infobjects. I want to know if these can be delta enabled so that zfields will be delta enabled. I mean in short if we make these delta enabled, will the z fields will come along with the standard fields since we are adding the z fields to the standard tables. Do we need to handle the code separately or is their any complicated code written along with it in the CMOD or just adding the zfields will bring the delta to BI. Please provide some links or any information on this regard. Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks in advance.

Deltas would be extracted based on some specific fields such as timestamp, dates or some kind of numeric pointer.
In your case, lets say if you have some date field for eg. Changed on in your table on which delta would be picked up then that delta should also fetch up changes related with address.
If this address field is directly present into your main talbe then changes would be directly picked up without any need of logic because table containing changed on date <your delta relevant field> also contains this address field.
But if this address is coming up from some other table then some sort of logic should be written to populate the changes in address field with respect to that "changed on" date field.

The custmer wants to add some fields to the Material master. I have found that those fields are already there in the standard extractor but are not being mapped to any infoobject.Do I need to create new info objects to map them or will there be a standard info object for all the fields in the standard datasource?

Thanks for your reply. The fields are available in datasource but are not mapped to any infoobjects in the Trans Structure. If I have to populate them in BW then I need to map them to some info objects. I am clear upto this. Now my doubt is...since the standard datasource already contains these extra fields which I need to add, will there be standard info objects already created for these fields or do I need to create some Z info objects to map them with? How can I check if there are some standard infoobjects for these fields.

I have done with the z** creation of the standard report. I also create the z*include for the standard includes which are in the standard program. But I not able to find the fieldcatlog or include where I can add my new fields.
But I tried with one structure tht is standard structure in tht standard report so i make it as z*structure and I append my new fields to this structure. I debug the report and this works fine and also shows output, but at output when I change the layout to see these new fields it shows dump.
Then I tried with one more thing to give the positioning to my new added fields. (This is what u can say column positioning ).
When I execute this,it goes to dump screen.
Now I don't what to do with this.
If any one like to see the code. Plz let me know I will post the code.
Or if any one have any document on this plz share. Or any other solution.

Adding a new field to the Address Data for a business partner

Hi Experts,
I am trying to add a new custom field to the address data (all structures and tables) that is linked to a business partner on SAP CRM via EEWB. Structure is the address structure wthin BUS_EI_EXTERN. Table is BUT020. I have been told that it is not possible as there is no Business Object that allows this. When doing an EEWB, the only business object is BUPA, which when selected, adds the new custom field to BUT000. I would like the field to be added to BUT020 (Address Table). This leads me to believe that there is no standard way of doing this, which ultimatley means that it would need to be done manually. Please help me with this predicament.

The search help exit allows you to modify functionality of search help. If you add a new field to the
parameter list that is not contained on the selection method you can manually populate it within the search
help exit.
This would be performed within the u2018STEP DISPu2019 section. Once within this section all search help
data has been retrieved and is stored in table RECORD_TAB (record_tab-string) as one long string value.
Therefore you need to read table SHLP in-order to locate position of value within string.
Example:
To find position of personnel number (PERNR) within elemenory search
help M_PREMN you would use the following code:
Loop at record_tab.
     read table shlp-fielddescr into wa_shlp
                                   with key tabname   = 'M_PREMN'
                                            fieldname = 'PERNR'.
You could then use this information in the following way, for
example, to find a persons organisation unit:
      select orgeh endda
        up to 1 rows
