The bookmarks that were added from my IE7 favorites aren't up-to-date. How do I update my bookmarks in Safari? Also, if I want to delete the IE7 folder that is not current in Safari and start over, how do I find the right folder to import all of my IE7 favorites/bookmarks without a window telling me "file not found"?

Unlike employee in your own company, B1 has only Contact Persons for Business Partner. There is no First Name and Last Name fields in this table (OCPR). You can only add the full name in one field.
You may create UDF to get them if you like.

I don't know if this is a problem or a functionality request, but here goes: If the URL of a bookmarked page changes (e g due to site restructuring) I would like to be able to add the new bookmark in such a way that it replaces the old one, rather than getting added beside it. This is done in IE - if I add a bookmark with an already excisting name, I get a dialogue box asking me if I want to replace it. This doesn't seem to be the case in FF, though. So, is there some way to turn on his functionality (or a plug-in to add it), or will I just have to go ask the developers and hope they will consider it in the future?

That should open the library window. In the Library window, select the bookmark you want to update, and manually edit the ''Location'' field.

need help to include new bookmarks on the user browser during the upgrade via SCCM and making sure that the old bookmarks are in place as well after the upgrade installation is complete.
Or, how to merge the old and new bookmarks in Mozilla with the help of packaging tool Wise, InstallShield or Adminstudio.
Is there any command line to include new bookmarks in Firefox. We have to use either script, command line or EXE to include new bookmarks.

The above customization need to be performed during fresh install and upgrade using EXE or MSI.

You can initialize the bookmarks via a bookmarks.html file placed in defaults\profile (needs to be created), but AFAIK then there is no way to merge new bookmarks with existing bookmarks via the command line or otherwise apart from importing an HTML file in the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks ).

The endless scrolling technique is far too tedious when trying to add a new bookmark, because the window is simply too tiny. I suggest you install the "Add Bookmark to Here2" extension, then you can expand the the list but you will not see the bookmark itself in the list if that is what you wanted. At the top you have three major folders you can select one of them and scroll up and down. Below that you have your most recently used folders and you can select one of them instead and scroll up and down. You can see the folder the bookmark is in -- they get added to the bottom
If you really want to see the bookmark within the folder the same extension allows you to bring the bookmark to the folder from say the bookmarks sidebar that is why it is named as such. I use it but mainly i use the dialog.

If you are not using tags at all, you can remove a whole lot of confusion by removing them from the dialog via the extension.

I downloaded Macfee security and parental control. The settings have gone back to basic settings but if I try to customise the toolbar by add the "home" icon or adding "contact" to bookmarks until I close and when I open they are gone. Any ideas

If you have any commercially advertised/available antivirus software installed on your Mac, completely uninstall this per the instructions on the AV developer's website.
Antivirus software can slow down the normal operation of OS X and can negatively affect OS X performance and operation.
Do you have apps like MacKeeper or any other maintenance apps like CleanMyMac 1 or 2, TuneUpMyMac or anything like these apps, installed on your Mac? These types of apps, while they appear to be helpful, can do too good a job of data "cleanup" causing the potential to do serious data corruption or data deletion and render a perfectly running OS completely dead and useless leaving you with a frozen, non-functional Mac.
Plus, these type of apps aren't really necessary. They really aren't.
There are manual methods to clear off unnecessary data off of your Mac that are safer and you have complete control over your Mac and not just leave a piece of auto cleaning software in charge of clearing off data off of your Mac.
Their potential of causing OS X issues outweighs the implied good and benefits these types of hard drive or memory "cleaning" apps are written to do.
Plus, the software companies that write these apps make it hard to easily uninstall these apps if something DOES go wrong and these apps work in a way where you have no recovery or revert function to return your Mac back to its former, working state in the event something does go wrong.
It is best to never, EVER download and install these types of apps.
The risk to your system and data is too great a risk!
Search the web to learn how to correctly and properly uninstall these kinds of apps.

Can no longer save a new bookmark directly to one of my foldersin bookmarks w/o saving, then dragging it from recently bookmarked. Any way to go back to old style of brining up list of folders in the gray box when adding a new bookmark?

Until a recent update in Firefox, I could always save a new bookmark to the folder of my choice by using the drop down list in the gray box that comes up when I chose to bookmark a site. Now only a few of my folders - probably most recents - show up and I can't seem to access the whole list. I now have to go to "recently bookmarked" and drag the bookmark from there to the folder of choice. Any way to restore the ability to make it a one stop save to my folders like I used to? Thanks.

No, I see the three areas at the bottom of the Bookmark area that you refer to, but that also highlights an issue. When I want to save a story to my Reading List and click on Share then "Add to Reading List" then go back to look at what is stored in the Reading List, my recently-saved item is not there.
I looked thru the History tab and the Reading List tab and have been in the Bookmark tab. But even when I Save a Bookmark, that newly-saved Bookmark does not show up in the Bookmark area.
But then again, the next day (and actually just in the last half-hour) all of the functionality came back. When I look at the Bookmarks, suddenly, again, all of the Bookmarks that are on my Safari browser on my iMac are now there, and I can now Save a Bookmark.
It keeps coming in and out and that is what is driving me a little nuts.

How to update bookmarks when merging two PDF files?

We have a company catalog that gets generated once a night. It's three step process:
     Step 1) A raw XML file gets generated from our main ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics).
     Step 2) Then that raw XML file is ran against a stylesheet with XEP to produce a nice professional looking catalog.
     Step 3) And the third step is a script that merges the front and back covers with the main catalog produced in step 2. Each cover is two pages (front and back).
My problem is when step 3 runs it produces a final catalog but all the bookmarks are off by 2 pages because the front cover adds two pages in the very beginning. This post may be premature because up until now I've been merging the PDF pages with a program called "GhostScript" and it allows me to merge them via line command. I'm just now trying out AcroExch.App COM Object for VBScript so I'll see if it works but wanted to fire this out for help to see if anyone has encountered this or can confirm if Adobe automatically updates them for you? When I "Merge" the PDF files through Acrobat Pro they get updated automatically, so hopefully it will work the same way with AcroExch.App Object.   Thanks guy!

I think you might be misunderstanding what I'm saying... we are not performing tasks for non-licensed individuals. We purchased a copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard so we could create a PDF of our catalog. That catalog we then put on our website and let people download it. Since our products change all the time, we generate a new catalog every night. The term "server" is just a place where a script runs, I could have it run on my desktop computer if that's really an issue but I think we're talking semantics. Acrobat is not what produces the main catalog PDF, that is done through XEP when it runs through the raw XML produced by our ERP software every night. The only thing we want Acrobat to do is an automated process to merge 3 PDF files together: Front Cover, Main Catalog and Back Cover. That's it.   Are you saying that is against the EULA of Adobe for us to do that?
Now for the bookmark problem, what do you recommend I do then? When I merge all three of those PDF files in Acrobat Standard manually it works perfect. All I'm trying to do is automate that process once every night. I know how to automate with Acrobat, I just can't figure out how to fix the bookmark problem?

Sync with .mac to update bookmarks on two PCs

I have a mac mini and a mac book. I want to keep my bookmarks updated on both. I used to have the ability to sync the two, but now I can't since I installed 10.4.7. How do I update my bookmarks so that they are all the same on .mac and the two PCs?

You have posted your query in the iSync forum, and are unlikely to receive the attention you issue requires, as iSync has had nothing at all to do with .Mac Sync since the release of Mac OS X 10.4 more than a year ago. You should instead have posted in the .Mac Sync forum, here:

To reset sync history, do this:
• launch the System Preferences application
• select the .Mac pane
• press the Advanced tab
• once your registered computers appear in the list, press the Reset Sync Data… button
• select Bookmarks from the Replace: drop-down menu
• press the right facing arrow so that the orange animated arrow moves from left to right
• press the Replace button
This will move a copy of your Safari bookmarks on that machine to .Mac, and through it, to the other computer in your pool. You may then have to go to the .Mac bookmarks area and either turn on synchronization—or turn it off and turn it back on once again—by first pressing the Open Bookmarks button, and the the switch icon in the page which then appears.

Safari 7.0.5 updating bookmark issues

I just got a new 27" iMac running 10.9.4 at work and copied my old Safari Bookmarks.plist to our server. In trying to put them on the new computer, I no longer have the Library/Safari in my Home folder to drag the bookmarks.plist into. How do I update my Safari bookmarks? I tried to make a Library folder in the Home but it said there is already a Library folder, but it does not show up. HELP! I have too many Bookmarks I need and do not want to lose. It sounded simple online when it said just replace the Bookmarks.plist over the Home/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist
In home the folders that show up are Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures and Public.

Select
File ▹ Import Bookmarks
from the Safari menu bar. Import from the old bookmarks file.

Adding Insert & Updated By User Info In table(more than one user)

I have bonus table(column empid,empnm,percentage,insertedby,updatedby) with logged user as user1.
Now i create a application in which at one page i added a report with form.My intention is that
when i insert a new record the insertedby & updatedby column shld be automatically added with APP_USER.
But after logged in with diff user say user2 the report shld have user1 in two columns.But now as user2
when i want to modify that record the updatedby column value should have user2.How can i achieve that?

The best thing to achive this is to use triggers - before or after insert or update. Assuming that your collumns, where you store the user information are named like:
user_created and
user_changed
you need two triggers:
1. for inserting new rows:

REFERENCING NEW AS NEW OLD AS OLD
FOR EACH ROW
BEGIN
:NEW.user_created := NVL (htmldb_application.g_user, USER);

There are of course other methods where you can create simmilar processes managed by the application but the best was is to do it on the database level, using triggers.

Adding Software Updates to Software Groups After Deployment

Hi all -
I went through and created 3 software update groups (for 2013, 2014, and 2015), and then distributed all three of them to a certain collection (and to all DPs). After that point, I then realized I had forgotten a number of updates for each software
update group. I downloaded the software updates and edited their membership so they would be a part of the existing software groups. When I did that their statuses said they were deployed. However, when I look at content distribution I don't see
anything changing. Almost like the new updates didn't go out to the DPs.
Do you need to redeploy the software update groups after adding new software updates? Or should this automatically distribute the new updates as part of the existing deployments.
Kind of unrelated, and not really part of my main question. Is there a best practice on the maximum number of software updates for a group? My largest group has 632 updates. I realize the dependency on reporting and all that, I am purely speak from a performance
or issues best practice.

A software update group and a deployment package are two different things. When you download the updates, you download them to your deployment package. To look at the status of that process you can look at
Content Status node in the console or the distmgr.log
file.
The best-practice maximum number of updates per update group is a 1000, see also:

My bookmarks-on-the-go will not update or sync with Firefox 29. The new firefox sync features has eliminated the pairing option or the resetting of the bookmarks using the reset / recovery key.
Any solution how to maintained syn with my iphone and firefox on my mac?

The e-mail send to outlook integration is a manually executed task from within SAP Business One.
Unfortunately in the current release, there is no automation built in.
Please refer to The SP_TransactionNotification Stored Procedure
There is an option for post (after the transaction os added in SBO) transaction notification that can be used, that you can query information and despatch via an email.
Note that you need to configure the SQL mailer as well for this to work effectively.
