Adding paypal account

Im trying to add funds to iTunes using my Paypal account. When I try to add them, it states "This recipient requires that you have a valid funding source from United States in order to complete this transaction." I do have funds in my account but I dont have a card tied to it, is there a reason for this and will Apple be changing that in the future?
Thanks

I had this problem also, what I found was that as I had purchased items via PayPal on the PS store before adding my paypal account for some reason the account had then been left active on my PayPal account after the purchases, basically what I had to do was log in to PayPal via my PC deactivate anything that PlayStation was attached to and then add my PayPal account via psn it now works fine hope this makes sense and helps, also make sure you don't have any outstanding money owed to Sony before deactivating.

I always had this problem when I tries to add my PayPal account to the PS Store. Its says "your email or password is invalid please try later" while I'm sure that i put it correctly every time. Anyone faced this problem before?

• Adding money to paypal account/ choosing which bank account

I have a big problem i recently sent money to someone from my personal bank account. I have two bank accounts listed on my paypal account and it never takes it from the one i tell it too and when i go and delelte the account that i dont want to use it wont ler me. Anyways i sent money and it took it from the wrong bank account that now has negative fund so im trying to pay the negative paypal balance from my personal account but it wont let me! im really stuck because its causing my bank account to have insufficient fund charges. Everytime I try to update my paypal account it says error. If anyone knows how to help that will be awesome thanks!

Why do you need to add funds? I know you do now as you have to clear the neg balance but normally if you are buying its not neccessary as paypal will take payment direct from your funding source. Ways to clear a negative balance.
1. Transfer funds from your bank account via "add funds" if you choose the faster method it should be done quickly.
2. Get a mate or family member to send you a payment to your paypal via the friends / family option (as long as they don't fund it with a card there is no fee).
3. Via a card over the phone with paypal. ************************************* I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.
Marking one of my replies as a solution would be appreciated if I sorted your problem.

• Adding paypal to a site already upgraded

hi
the site ceramicplanet.co.uk is about to open an ebay shop so we openned a paypal account and thought we'd add it to the site as an extra payment option for customers but I and paypal uk are having trouble.
we went live just taking card payments so I removed the payment method.
Now I want to add paypal ive added the original radio buttons with the options

Payment Method *
Credit Card
Direct Debit
PayPal

and I follwed the instructions on implementing paypal http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/set-paypal-standard.html
however Its still not obvious to me how the customer is meant to use the paypal option on the checkout pay?
Im under the impression they are taken to a paypal site to complete the order and then back to the site but how?
do they select the radio button and press the submit button because all that happens is the page states the credit card details havent been filled in and that they are required.
Am i meant to add a paypal button to the page? I havent see anything on business catalyst saying i have to but when settting up the paypal account they seem to have a lot of button options to add to your site?
Is it something to do with my order form? Ive changed it over time to suite our look but cant see why that would have anything to do with paypal not working.
Also I work in the UK. whenever i talk to people/services like paypal uk about business catalyst most dont know alot about the system. Im assuming its more an american and australian thing but im asking there isnt anything special I have to do to make paypal work do I? the service advisor has asked me to keep him updated on this intergration as he says they have had problems the last few months trying to implement paypal on catalyst sites, Im guessing this is them not being use to your systems but thought id put it out there that paypal dont seem up to date with catalyst.
any help appreciated
Dave
ps just read this on http://www.siroccowebdesign.com.au/business-catalyst-tutorials/tag/Payment_Gateways/
Please note that non-seamless payment gateways such as PayPal can only be used within the online shop and the checkout process. This type of payment gateway by its nature, cannot be used in conjunction with the web forms functionality to process credit card payments.
So now im abit lost on how to implement paypal?

just to let you guys know I was missing parts of java from my page. This is what was originally at the bottom of the reg-buy template.

now my only problem is that being a UK site we have debit card sales and of course this need the card details box open when the radio button is picked so i added this line to the java
if (val != 1)
if (val != 8)
document.getElementById('paymentdiv').style.display = 'none';
else
document.getElementById('paymentdiv').style.display = 'inline';
//

however I dont think ive added the line correctly because when testing the site if I pick paypal the card details collapes. If i then select credit card the card details box does not expand, but it does expand for the direct debit if selected. How should I add the (val !=8) so that the credit card val != 1 still works.

• Trouble Using a Bank Account Balanced Paypal Account

I recently got myself a Paypal account with my ATM card, and it works perfectly for withdrawing funds from my bank account, but I can't get it working with iTunes. I was using a family member's Paypal account earlier, which was with a credit card, and it worked just fine. But now, when I try to change the payment settings to run off of my new Paypal account's balance (I have a 35$ balance), it only gives me the option of adding a credit card. The iTunes support page says I don't need a credit card, that a confirmed bank account source will work fine:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/paypal/
Anyone have luck with just a bank account, not a credit card? I don't have the option of adding my ATM card again, either, as it doesn't have a Visa or Mastercard logo. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PayPal is not a Bank therefore I doubt if you will get a "confirmation". PP does not have to follow banking rules and can freeze you account for 180 days with no warning. Since they are not a BANK they don't have to follow banking rules..... Get the hint.
A debit card/credit card is different and is linked to a specific bank which can be verified.

Hi, Mr7iron, and welcome to the Community,
I am not exactly sure what you mean when you say,
"I cannot remove a PayPal account no longer associated with my account."
The only way to break the association of a PayPal account to a Skype account is to sign on to your PayPal account and cancel the payment agreement.

• I have 2 email addresses set up on my iphone 5, 1 can send mail and the other can't... have tried deleting and adding the account, no luck, have tried all suggestions... anyone help?

I have recently purchased the iphone 5S and have two AOL email accounts set up on it. They could both receive and send mail on the first day, but from the second day only 1 can send mail (both still receive). I get an message saying "Unable to send mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." This has been the response now for 3 days and suddenly this morning, I was able to send an email from this account, but only the one and now it's back to that same message. I have deleted and added the account again, using various methods. I even reset my phone and set it all up again from beginning with no luck. It is very frustrating and I am unsure why I can't send from both accounts, especially being that they are the same provider. I have read forums and it appears many have this same problem and I wondered if anyone has had it recently on this phone and how they fixed it. Someone said just use the AOL app to send from this account, yes that can be done, but it's inconvenient having to sign in all the time when i have a mail app that should work automatically. Any suggestions would be welcomed!!

I am not sure if this issue is going to help you but lets give it a try.
I know that where im from, which is the Netherlands, I am not able to sent e-mails from my iPhone or any other mobile device by using 3G or a random WIFI acces point. The provider only allowes you to sent e-mails when you are connected to a network of there own. Which means if you have provider "101" and your email settings are set up for this provider in your iPhone but your using the network of a friend of yours which is provider "202" you cannot sent emails from his network. Though you can receive them you may not sent.
As I said, I am not aware if this issue is the same for you totaly depents on the country and provider your using.

• Can I open multiple Paypal accounts to accept payments for multiple businesses?

Hello, I plan on setting up two businesses that will use Paypal to accept payments. Can I set up two seperate Paypal accounts to accept payments for my two businesses?

You can have up to 8 bank accounts attached to your paypal account. So if you know how much you have earned per business you can withdraw that amount to one bank account and the rest to a different bank account. Hope that is what you meant. If not will check back later tonight or late tomorrow as got to work tomorrow during the day. ***************************************** I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.

• Can I setup an Apple ID with only a Paypal account and NO credit card?

I recently purchased an iPhone and am looking forward to getting everything setup. I'm currently living in Japan and my japanese bank doesn't have a card that has the jcb logo, nor do I have a credit card. So...
Can I setup an Apple ID with only a Paypal account and NO credit card?

You can set up an apple Id without a credit card using this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534
After that, you can login at iTunes on a computer, go to 'Account' and just change the payment information to something else.
NB: where I live, the only three options for payment are creditcard, iTunes gift cards and Click&Buy, not Paypal. It might be possible elswhere though, I'm not sure.
Good luck

• I can't link my Paypal Account to my iTunes Stores Account

I am attempting to connect my billing preference in the iTunes Store to my Paypal account. The process takes me to Paypal and then at the end is supposed to return me to the iTunes Store. After clicking on "Return to iTunes Store" the page "Returning to the iTunes Store...Please Wait" loads and then stops/hangs.

This is using Internet Explorer as my default browser. I normally use FireFox, but Firefox blocks the return to the iTunes Store, as well.
I've contacted both Paypal (no problems there with my account or their system) and Apple Support (they can't seem to figure this out -- appears to be either an OS or Browser problem to them.) I've also posted this with the Microsoft Solutions forum but their suggestions haven't worked. Nothing seems to work. I'm hoping you can help me resolve this issue. An iTunes technician is working on it apparently. He contacted me on 12/23/10 but I haven't heard back from him.
"My name is Jonathan and I have been assigned your case. I want to thank you for your continued patience while I work on your issue involving setting up PayPal on your account.
I hope to have a resolution for you very soon, hopefully within in a couple of days, and will be certain to notify you as soon as more information is available.
The iTunes Store is dedicated to creating a pleasant music-shopping alternative for music lovers of all walks of life. Your experience is very important to Apple. Thank you for giving Apple the opportunity to improve its services. Have a great day."
The browser appears to be blocking the return to the iTunes Store so I can finalize the payment change to Paypal. I've turned off the Windows firewall and my anti-virus. Did not make any difference.

I'm having exactly the same error, but on a Mac using Safari as de default browser....
When it goes back to iTunes I can only see the original page where I launched the paypal website from.... nothing happens and if I click continue the whole process starts again. I guess by now I must have created 30+ billing agreements...

I had to reset my PayPal account with iTunes and now I'm getting a apple I'd has been disabled on both my iPad and iPhone. I've already done all the steps on my computer. Now what?

They give me that option when I'm setting up my account and I've got all that worked out. But my apple I'd is still disabled on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. I can't download anything nor can I update any of my apps. I've even changed my account to a credit card and it still didn't help.
Any ideas? I've put in a support request. Hopefully they won't take too long.
