How can I add new pictures to an existing slide show. The site was created in Muse and uses their slide show module.

You can't. Iphoto plays the music track. It's it's 3 minutes long then it plays for 3 minutes.
So if you want to play segements you'll need to copy the track, duplicate it and edit it to the requied length
Or
Use an app that supports multiple audio tracks.

How do I selcet a song from my ITunes library and apply it to a picture folder for a slide show. I have a PC, not a Mac.

Short answer:
Click Hide Song(s), it is what you wanted to do...
Long answer:
iTunes in the Cloud is a feature of your iTunes store account that allows you to redownload or stream your past purchases. When you delete a purchased track that is downloaded to your computer (like the first one shown here) you are asked if you also want to hide the song from iCloud. This would remove it from the computer and also stop it showing up with the iCloud symbol as the other tracks from that album (which are not downloaded) do.
If a track shows with the cloud symbol you can play (stream) it by double-clicking the title, or click the cloud symbol to download a local copy to your library. If you try to delete one of these tracks you get a slightly different message confirming that you want to hide the track. Clicking hide will remove the listing from the library and any other device that shows your past purchases.
Should you want to retrieve any item hidden in this way at a later date use Store > View My Account > iTunes in the Cloud > Hidden Purchases > Manage.
To hide all your previous purchases that are not downloaded to your computer use Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.

How do you incorporate a vimeo movie into an existing slide show?

Does anyone know how I can incorporate a vimeo movie into an existing slide show I have already created? I insert the code using the insert html function. The movie appears on the page, but I can't add it to my existing slide show.
Any ideas how to make this happen?

First, get an app called MPEG Streamclip, which is free. (google MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5)
Open MPEG Streamclip.
In iMovie, select the clip you need. Then, right-click/Reveal in Finder.
Drag this clip into MPEG Streamclip
In MPEG Streamclip, move the playhead to the frame you want.
In MPEG Streamclip, click FILE/EXPORT FRAME.
Choose JPEG, TIFF, or PNG and give it a name.

Adding photo collage image to slide show in photoshop elts 9

I created a photo collage page using photoshop elements 9 and saved it as a jpg file. It looked clear and sharp on screen. When creating slide show, I added this page but when I play the slide show full screen, the image for this page is blurer than normal. Other regular photos I added in the slide show are ok. Why does this happen and is there a way to overcome it?

Maybe it's me, but... scoobie... i don't think your reply has anything to do with her question lol. I believe she's saying she is having trouble figuring out how to do something, not that the program is crashing.
Anyway, I'm starting a similar slideshow project. I think it's easiest to simply edit the photos in iPhoto. Photoshop is on a different level from iPhoto and obviously has capabilities iPhoto lacks, but I think it should be fine for just editing digital photos.
One of the things you said was "how do you format... resolution"
I don't think iPhoto can change the resolution of a photo like photoshop can, but since you want to make the FINEST quality slide show I assume you'd want to scale the resolution up... and although photoshop can do that, I don't think you'll see a significant increase in quality. It won't look anything like if you had actually taken the photo at a higher resolution.
As far as importing pictures into iMovie goes, that should be pretty easy. If you click on the "media" button in iMovie, and then click on the "Photos" tab on the upper right of the window, it will display your iPhoto library the same way it would display it in iPhoto (organized by albums). You can then drag whatever photos you want to include to the "timeline" at the bottom of the screen.
I'm not sure what to tell you about pixel ratio and RGB vs. CMYK....
The last step, exporting to iDVD is just as simple as adding pictures... just click on the "Share" menu at the top of the screen and select "iDVD". What you do from there depends on what kind of final product you want... and I haven't actually used iDVD so I would just be guessing on that part lol.

It sounds like you may have had a plug-in that did the extra things you are talking about. You can make a slide show with transitions and all, but it takes time is not a simply menu item. You can set the timing for each slide or the timing as a whole. Adding music is an additional step. All of this can be done in Acrobat, but the automated aspect you mention is not part of Acrobat. Again, you may have used a plug-in that did it all for you. You might check PlanetPDF or the PDFZone to see if there are such plug-ins available.

Can I view the photos in my Pictures folder as a slide show

I store my photographs in the Pictures folder (Album?) rather than any other app. I have organised my photos into folders within this main folder. Is there a way to view the photos in a particular folder as a slide show? This was possible in my Windows XP computer. Many thanks in advance.

PSE -5, loss in sharpness of pictures when placed in slide show

In PSE-5, when good pictures are transferred from tagged groups to the slide show, there is a significant loss of picture quality despite using "high quality". Is there a way to make the pictures in slide show have the same quality an in the storage areas of Photoshop?

Was it from the actual Project Browser, where all the assets are listed?
Can you try deleting the surplus slideshow from there, and let us know what happens please?

Adding music / audio to Photo Slide Show

I have several photo pages in the iWeb Photo Template pages and am giving the option to watch as a slide show.
If the viewer opts for the slide show, can music and/or voice over be automatically and simulaneously played?

If you want to add background to a .Mac enhanced slideshow, it is going to take a little post-publishing editing....but it is possible. Check out this thread and especially Bruce Kirman's explanation and example. Very nice...

Want an a way to automatically take a large batch of pictures and create a slide show.

I had previously used an automator action called "Picture Sequence from Files" that no longer works (am using most Keynote 5.1 and Snow Leopard). I used to run the same action on an old G4 with an earlier version of keynote. In addition, a student wrote this script as part of the action that would extract the caption from the embedded metadata for a slide title. In a nutshell, we have 100-200 photos of students, individual grad shots, with student names embedded as metadata and I want a quick painless way to dump them in to keynote with their names pulled from the metadata in a text box beneath the picture.
Have scoured a lot to no avail. Can do this with work in Aperture, but I'd really like to eliminate that to work exclusively with Keynote and/or Automator.
Any suggestions welcome.

Writing values from control references is slow. Do not use it in high performance applications. Having said that, it sounds like you just want to do it once for initialization purposes, which is OK.
The answer is don't wire in a ton of clustered references. Just wire the a reference to the VI on which the controls live. You can get an array of references to all the front panel controls given the reference to the owning VI. You will need to "downcast" (to more specific type) for each particular data type, but that can be done inside the subVI. Note that the order of the reference array is the tabbing order of the controls on the front panel.

I have tried to do this on my own but without success. The photo is located in both Events and Photos.
I have iPhoto '11 Version 9.4.3. I am on the iMac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.5.

Pictures lost in Slide Show

I added pictures from my flash drive into a slide show in Elements 6.0. I saved the slide show as a project. Several days later when I opened the project from the Organizer, the slides were black except for the text I had added. I assume I have lost the link to my pictures although I have not moved the flash drive since I made the slide show. How can I retrieve my pictures?

The photos have never appeard in Organizer because I imported them from my Flash Drive directly into the slide show. I have, however, opened,
edited, saved, closed, and reopened the slide show several times and the pictures were in the slide show. Now, all of a sudden, they have disappeared.
I was hoping to avoid saving the pictures in Organizer before adding them to the slide show... must I do that?

I have added a video to my slide show in Elements 7 and when I try to preview the show, Photoshop completely closes. What is going on?

You say that you do not have a DVD burner on your PC - so please explain in some detail how you plan to use the DVD player for your TV. For example, does your DVD player for the TV have a slot where you can insert a USB device? What is the make and model of the DVD player machine? Or did you mean that you will use DVD player software with your computer connected to your TV?
Movie Maker - you don't need a DV camera : you can output a WMV file from Movie Maker just as you can from the Photoshop Elements Slide Show Editor. The dilemma seems to be that neither of these programs will produce a video DVD conforming output.
Here are some ideas that I was developing - however, we do need to understand what type of output you have the capability to play in order to determine what will help for your specific situation:
I was thinking that an approach might be to make each section of slide show in PSE Slide Show Editor and separately output each as a separate WMV file. Then use Windows Movie Maker and layout sections of the slide show with your video files in between the slide show sections as you wish. Then you could output a single wmv file from Windows Movie Maker. Another alternative would be to do everything in Windows Movie Maker and not use the PSE slide show editor at all.
