Adding radio button fields to structure

Hi,
I have two fields in a structure, which domain i need to use so that i will get radio button in SRM browser like yes and no.
Regards
Badari

Hi Badri,
  It is not the domain that determines if a field has to be displayed as a radio-button or a checkbox.
for example:
parameters : p_cb type xfeld as checkbox.
parameters: p_rb1 type xfeld radiobutton group RB1,
            p_rb2 type xfeld radiobutton group RB1.
Regards,
ravi

  • Radio Buttons and Event Structures

    Guys, I am hoping for some help here on something I probably should know but cant figure out how to do.  I am using a set of radio buttons and an event structure to run a UI.  The radio buttons are acting as both a user input and indicator of current status selected by the user.  I have the event structure set to run on value change of the radio button.  All works great unless the operator decides that he wants to repeat the selection that the radio button is already set to.  The event structure does not recognize this as a change of value and will not execute.  Is there a way to set the event structure up to run even if the same selection of the radio button is made a second time?  I attached a crude example to this post.  Basically everytime I press the button, I want an entry made into the text box, regardless if the selected item was already pressed.  Any thoughts.

    Instead of hacking around the inherent nature of radio buttons, why not just use a Cluster?  Its behavior in the UI is more customizable.  Check this out:
    I just replaced your radio buttons with a cluster, and added a little logic to the event structure to get it to behave the way you describe.  I've attached the VI below, saved in 8.2, if you want to try it out.
    Hope this helps,

  • ADDING RADIO BUTTONS IN REPORT NEAR MISS (EHSM-NWBC)

    Hi Experts,
    I am new to this EHSM Enhancements , I have a requirement to add 3 radio buttons in Report Near Miss ( EHSM-NWBC ), I am not understanding this BOPF firm Enhancement .So please provided me the required information .
    Thanks & Regards.
    Bhushan K.

    Hi Bhushan,
    If you want to add 3 radio buttons, then first of all you have to append one field in EHHSSS_INC_BASIC_INFO_ALL_D structure with Fixed Domain values.
    Then you need to enhance EHHSS_INC_REC_NRM_QAF_V3_BSCI component Configuration.
    In that Configuration you need to add field with display type Radio Button Group, with column count 3.
    Kindly refer the following snap for the same.

  • Adding radio button to each row of an interactive report: possible or not?

    First of all let me explain what the point of this application is.
    I'm making an application that allows a user to select something out of a drop-down select list. This list is a list of categories for food. Let's say the user selects "Fruit".
    Then the page refreshes and shows an interactive report with a list of food that belongs to the category of fruit.
    Here's where I want to change things:
    I want the user to see the interactive report, but in this interactive report I want to add a radio button for each row.
    Then, when a certain type of food is selected (let's say "Strawberry") via the radio button, a text field should appear underneath the interactive report. In this textfield, the user can then add the weight of the food item, and then it will calculate how many carbs there are in the strawberry.
    All I really want to know is:*
    How do I add a radio button to each row of the interactive report, and how do I link this radio button to the value of that particular row?*
    Additional information:
    The item "P17_FOOD_CATEGORY" contains the following LOV:
    select FOODCATEGORYNAME as display_value, FOODCATEGORYID as return_value
    from FOODCATEGORY
    order by 1
    The "Food" region contains the following source:
    select a.FOODID, a.NAME, b.FOODCATEGORYNAME, c.STANDARDAMOUNT, c.NAME Unit
    from FOOD a inner join FOODCATEGORY b
    on a.FOODCATEGORYID = b.FOODCATEGORYID join FOODUNIT c
    on a.FOODID = c.FOODID
    where a.FOODCATEGORYID = :P17_SET_CATEGORY
    EDIT:
    PLEASE! Even if you don't know a good answer or if you are unsure about your answer, do post! Even suggestions would be welcome! I really need all the help I could get, even if it's not much.

    Hi there!
    I tried to change my code to your version, but then I get an error message:
    Error Unable to change Interactive Report query.
    ORA-12899: value too large for column "APEX_040100"."WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS"."DB_COLUMN_NAME" (actual: 32, maximum: 30)
    I don't quite know what this means. After doing a quick search on the internet, I know that this message should mean that the length of the value for the columns named "APEX_040100", "WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS" and "DB_COLUMN_NAME" is too long. But, I don't have these columns. I searched for them in my object browser, and they can't be found in any table related to my application.
    I'm sure your answer is the solution, but do you perhaps have an idea on how to solve this error? I checked the allowed maximum length for any column value that is related to my application, but they all have "50" set as the maximum value...
    Thank you for your reply. ;)

  • Dynamic radio button fields do not display again after form is saved

    Hello,
    I have a group of radio button questions within a dynamic form that display additional questions based on the answer.
    So for the question "Is there a basement?" if the user indicates yes, there is a basement, additional questions are displayed to gather more information about the basement. If the user indicates no, then those questions do not appear.
    Everything works beautifully in the form. However, when the form is saved and then re-opened, the additional questions do not appear in the form. So the structure goes from this:
    To this:
    The users must toggle the radio buttons to make those questions reappear...and when they do reappear, they have maintained whatever answer the user indicated before saving.
    I'm not sure why this is happening...does anyone have any advice?
    Thank you,
    Theresa

    Hi,
    Thanks so much for your response! I am using Designer 8.2.1.
    I just played around with more of my form...this seems to happen whenever I am working with a hidden subform that is displayed when the user clicks a button (or selects the appropriate radio button). I have a couple of other places within my form where this occurs.
    Here is an example of the script on one of those buttons:
    var intNewIndex = form1.construction_type.const_type_repeat.instanceManager.count-1;
    form1.construction_type.resolveNode("const_type_repeat[" + intNewIndex + "]").percentage.presence="visible";
    const_type_repeat.instanceManager.addInstance(true);
    The script on the radio button is:
    if (basementyes.rawValue == 4){secondwd.sump.presence ="visible"
      secondwd.sumpradio.sumpyes.presence ="visible"
      secondwd.sumpradio.sumpno.presence ="visible"
    else {secondwd.sump.presence = "hidden"
      secondwd.sumpradio.sumpyes.presence = "hidden"
      secondwd.sumpradio.sumpno.presence ="hidden"
    I am pretty new at this so it might be something obvious...thanks again for your help!

  • Adding Radio Button in a Table

    Hi
    I need to create a table in which there has to be a column for radio button.
    The radio button will be used to set one row as default row (row corresponds to template in application) i.e i need to set 1 template as default.
    I feel that this cannot be done using SingleSelection of table since i also need to set initial value of radio from database (which will be the radio selected previously)
    Now how can this be implemented using RadioGroup.
    If it is possible in any other way please advice
    Thanks
    Husain

    You should be able ti use the SingleSelection feature. In your CO processRequest, identify the Row which need to be selected based on your business logic, and set the value of the Attribute mapped to Select Field to 'Y'.
    The Radio button select/unselect is controlled by the value of the mapped to Selection field('Y' - Select, N - unselect).
    Hope this helps.

    I do not understand why I cannot re-add the radio button? If you comment out the code for the radio button (comment section #3.) you can re-add the panels easily. It is only happening when I have radio buttons being added to the form/panel.
    Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Why is this only happening to radio buttons? I thought I had this fixed

    Any idea why radio buttons causing this to happen? If I comment out the radio button, this works fine. This is really baffling me.
    The exception is thrown when the dynamically created panel (thePanel) is added to the main Panel (myContainer):
    myContainer.addChild(thePanel); <--- causes the exception!
    ^ Why would radio buttons make a difference on "thePanel"?? How can I enforce parent-child relationship, explicitly? .parent is read-only

  • Counting radio button fields

    I am creating an interactive form that will be completed by the user online and then printed by that user only. The form is a list of questions with yes/no answers. I have used grouped radio buttons for the yes/no answers. What I now need to do is add a field that will count all yes buttons that have been selected and provide a total. The users will then compare the total value to a legend, no other programming or functionality is required.
    I am just a tech writer and have little coding experience. Is there a simple way to do this using FormCalc or does someone have a simple Javascript that would accomplish this?

    Assuming you have a set number of questions (yes/no radio groups), you can access each of them as follows:
    Q1Answer = subformname.Question1.rawValue;
    Q2Answer = subformname.Question2.rawValue;
    etc.. Question1, Question2 being the names of your radio button groups.
    Now if you've got them set as 1 being yes and 0 being no, you just have to add together each of those answers. for example:
    TotalYes = Q1Answer + Q2Answer + Q3Answer + ......

  • Getting form field values for radio button

    Hello to the forum.
    I have a form in which I want to control the value selected in a radio buttons field on whether to allow access to another field.
    I can't find info neither here nor in the examples.
    Anybody know how to do?
    Thank in advance.

    Hi,
    You can use the change event of the radio button list.
    Select the readio button list exclusion group, in script editor select the "change" event. As an example if we have two selections "aa" and "bb" which have values 1 and 2 respectively.
    You can write this Javascript code to change event.
    if(this.rawValue == 1)
    xfa.host.messageBox("aa");
    else if(this.rawValue == 2)
    xfa.host.messageBox("bb");
    Hope helps,
    Asiye
