Adding Rolling Centered Credits directly to a scene?

Hello all,
Is it possible to add Rolling Centered Credits directly to a scene? I want to add them a clip of my cat sleeping as a way of ending my movie, but everytime I drag them down to the scene it won't add them on. I made sure the length of the credits is shorter than the length of the scene. Either it doesn't add the credits or it puts them over "black" after the clip. Any suggestions?

Hi Dave:
Watch this clip:
http://www.danslagle.com/mac/iMovie/usage/5017.shtml
*Be sure "over-black" is not checked.
*Drag the "T" by the type of title you are trying to add-not the words you typed for the title
*Be sure to add at the beginning of a clip or at a place where you have split the clip
*Don't try to add the transition or effect first-it's easier to add the title then any transitions/effects.
*Don't need to "Update" a clip unless you are actually trying to "update" an existing title

    Hi,
    We have a requirement for adding a new line item directly within the Purchase Order in SRM (without using the shopping cart). We are using the FM BBP_PD_PO_UPDATE for this purpose. However, we are getting the following error while updating. " BUFFER TABLE NOT UP-TO-DATE". Please provide assistance in order to resolve this issue.

    We achieved  based on the Security roles to identify if the user is Requester or Purchaser or Manager and Webdynpro changes by the portal team to activate the Change and Order button based on the required business rules.
    Transaction Code for PO Change to be added to the security role.
    Requisitioner:  Any user with out any existing A012 relationship with any existing Organizational units on the current date:
    Manager:  Any user having A012 relationship with any existing Organizational units on the current date.
    If the Authorization object checked programmatically results the value of "PUR" then the standard SAP code for "Purchaser" has to be executed.

    Hello,
    I am using BAPI_COSTCENTERGROUP_CREATE to add/delete Cost Centers from a group by passing Controlling Area, Group name and Cost centers in HIERARCHYVALUES table.
    Though the BAPI successfully deletes existing Cost centers from the group, while adding, it gives error message that 'This function is not allowed in the standard hierarchy'
    If anyone has worked with this BAPI before or faced a similar error, kindly revert.

  • Adding a 2D image into a 3D scene

    hey guys probably a very fast simple question.
    I would like to add a 2D image to my 3D scene, so is there an existing object ready for use, or do i have to create my own quadArray and apply texture with the image?
    thanks

    Combine all the PDFs into a single document. Use the place multipage PDF script to place all the pages of the PDF. Add the logo to the master page. Export a new PDF.
    Or...create an InDesign book out of the INDD files. Add the logo to a master page, sync the master to the book and save.

  • Difficulties adding 2D or 3D text to the scene.

    Hello!
    I have a 3D cube which I have created, and I've been able to add things to the scene such as spheres and dotted lines. I cannot, however, get any 2D or 3D text to show up. Here is some code I am using. Does this look correct?
            Text2D text2D = new Text2D("X Axis",
                                       new Color3f(0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f),
                                       "Arial", 18, Font.ITALIC);
            sceneBranch.addChild(text2D);
            Font3D font3d = new Font3D(new Font("Arial", Font.PLAIN, 10),
                                new FontExtrusion());
            Text3D textGeom = new Text3D(font3d, new String("X Axis"),
                                  new Point3f(-2.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f));
            Shape3D textShape = new Shape3D(textGeom);
            sceneBranch.addChild(textShape);Thanks for the help!

    hi,
            Color3f color = new Color3f(Color.WHITE);
            String fontName = Font.SERIF;
            int fontSize = 200;
            int fontStyle = Font.PLAIN;
            fpsText2D = new Text2D(fpsText, color, fontName, fontSize, fontStyle);
            tgFPS.addChild(fpsText2D);
            TransformGroup tgFPS = new TransformGroup();
            sceneGraph.add(tgFPS);this works fine for me

  • Adding Rolls to IPhoto

    I know I can add folders to IPhoto but I would like to create new rolls for separating my pictures as well and was wondering if it can be done.

    joeytrom
    You don't mention which version of iPhoto you have, but as it's an Intel machine and you use Rolls rather than Events, I'll guess version 6.
    Select a pic and the File -> New Film Roll option will be available. You must have at least one pics selected.

  • Choppy Rolling Credits

    I'm having a problem with one segment of the movie I've created. I imported my film from iMovie 06 into iDVD. The entire movie plays great in the iDVD window and the DVD player preview. At the end of my movie I have rolling centered credits and everything looks perfect.
    However, I saved as disc image so I could preview in the DVD Player exactly how it would look once I burned it to a real DVD, and everything plays fine EXCEPT the rolling credits at the end. The other centered titles in the movie (the ones that don't move or "roll" up the screen) look perfectly crisp and clear. But the rolling credits have some weird pixalating effect that makes the letters and words change shape about every 4 seconds. The are readable, but it's choppy and obvious something is not right as you watch it. The should roll smoothly just like in the iDVD preview, but they don't. Any solutions to this problem?

    Hello,
    I used to use LiveType to do the layout and scroll. But I found render times slow, so I now use Photoshop:
    Open a new document however long you need it to fit all of your text (e.g. 1440x8000px) -
    Export that as a PNG -
    Import in FCP, reset to 100% (size) and add an animation (for it to scroll) -
    Add anti-flicker filter (max) -
    add motion-blur if you like -
    Voila!
    Renders fast (without the motion-blur) and looks good.
    If you want to be a perfectionist you can actually calculate the" lines per second movement" in order to have a smooth scroll. I don't remember how do do that ... maybe someone else can help. The scroll length should be a multiple of the fps I believe...
    Hope that helps ....

  • Trying to make titles/credits look good

    I've never figured out how to really do my credits in iMovie. I chose "Scrolling Credits", and they come out looking all jumbled. I chose "Scrolling Centered Credits" and they come out looking just as jumbled--and certainly not centered.
    I'm particularly trying to have the title "Cast (in order of appearance)" with the word "Cast" centered, and the "in order of appearance" centered underneath "Cast". I can't make it work.
    Anyone have some helpful advice for me? Thank you.

    I think you just need to experiment a little more. Trying both styles you mentioned seems to center pretty well. With Rolling Centered Credits, - the "center" occurs at the end of the first line, and the beginning of the second line for each pair of entries (in other words, the gap is what's centered, not the line of text). If each pair doesn't have the same number of characters, the line of text certainly will appear shifted, but the gap will be centered on screen.
                    Character        Actor
                          Actor        Character
    Rolling Credits provides full justification and fills in a different numbers of periods in between to give each line a uniform length.
                   Character . . . . . . . Actor
                   Actor . . . . . . . Character
    If you're crediting individuals (without an associated role or title), then you might find the Scrolling Block style more useful. Subsequent new lines are created by inserting a shift-return at the end of each intended line of text, and each line is centered in the scroll.

  • Direct membership collection - get added date of a resource?

    Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to get the date or time a resource (computer) was added to a collection (direct membership).
    Reason : we are using OSD and some computers were not removed from that collection after being reimaged....so now our Imaging collection has around 85 members...some labs computers were added a couple of days ago and will be reimaged soon so I don't want
    to delete them...but some computer were reimaged a while ago (so they were added a few weeks ago) so I would like to delete them... ?
    Like, I would keep all the items that were added in the last five or ten days and delete all the other that have been added since more than 10 days ?
    Thanks !

    Not through the console, but you should be able to grab the direct membership rules via WMI (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh949303.aspx) and check their creation date.

  • What color is recommended to use on a black background for credits or thank yous in a video?

    What color is recommended to use on a black background for credits or thank yous in a video?
    Thank you for your help.

    If it is not too distracting, I like to overlay the credits on a still scene that sort of sums up the whole movie....just so the credits are not overshadowed by the background. That worked well for a movie of a little league baseball game and my favorite baseball little leaguer.
    Another time, for a birthday celebration for a retired very special person, I used rolling credits against just a smiling face of the birthday person with a chiming like version of happy birthday music. I kept everything light and readable with a balance between face and credits. Then as the credits ended, I eased into a thank you to him title followed by cameo shots of faces with names (about 3 cameos per image) of all the people who attended the gathering for this special person. So many times as the years go by there will be a person watching the video and asking who is that? So, my cameos were gently placed and presented and served the purpose of letting everyone know/remember who was who.
    I tend to let the work direct me in all decisions in creating the credits. Probably white is the generalized answer for lettering against a black background. Just white rolling credits on black does not necessarily grab by attention. But that is a generalization that may not apply to your specific project.
    Just some thoughts.

  • Can't move credits in title designer

    Ok, this may be a very simple question because I know I have done this before.
    I created a long list of credits in the title designer and I just want to animate them on the timeline
    with 2 points, at the beginning and at the end so they will scroll up the screen.
    When I move the position of them in the timeline...they just disappear?
    What am I doing wrong that they are not scrolling up the screen but disappearing?
    Thanks!

    Danged thing is still queued.
    Until then, and after you send your PRPROJ to Eddie as a .TXT file. Here are the setting you should have in the Roll/Crawl Options:
    Title Type = Roll (radio button)
    Direction (doesn't matter, as we have a Roll, not a Crawl)
    Timing (Frames):
    Start Off Screen = checked
    End Off Screen = whatever you want it to do
    Preroll = 0
    Ease-In = whatever you need to look smooth
    Ease-Out = whatever you need to look smooth
    Postroll = 0
    Click OK.
    Now, in the Titler, use the Selection Tool and click on your Text Box. You should see the Bounding Box around the type. Move it until the top of the Text Box is right at the top of the Title-Save highlight. Note: you can move it up even more, if you want it quicker, because you have checked Start Off-screen.
    Since you moved the Text Box, I'd hit the Vertical Center Tool to the Toolbox. It's to the right of the Horizontal Center Tool, and both are between the Align and the Distribute Tools.
    Now, test it in your Timeline. If you want it to start even more quickly, go back and use your Selection Tool to move the Text Box up even higher, say to the top edge of the screen. That'll start it pretty quickly.
    Good luck, and I hope that it's a setting issue, and that Eddie doesn't find something really amiss with your Project.

    PS, I still think that Keyframing this puppy would get you what you want and need in less time than the screen-cap is spending in the queue.

  • Scene Detect 8 + 15 extra frames on every captured clip

    When capturing HDV in CS5, using Scene Detect creates extra frames.
    Imagine clip #1 when it captures its footage, instead of stopping at the end of the clip, it continues for another 15 frames into Clip #2 and tacks this on to the end of Clip #1.
    It then starts to capture Clip #2 but first it rolls back (this is done by Scene Detect electronically. The tape does not actually roll back) into Clip #1 and starts the capture 8 frames back into Clip #1 before it continues capturing the footage and proceeds to repeat the 15 extra frames capture from Clip #3. Everything is repeated throught Clip #3, Clip #4, etc. until the end of the tape.
    These things did not happen in CS3. This is a CS5 problem.
    Essentially each clip starts with 8 frames of the previous clip and ends with 15 frames of the next clip. The extra frames contain both video and audio in perfect sync.
    When capturing, I am making no adjustments on the frames control which is what the Adobe Service suspected. I ran a capture with them on line demonstrating the problem.
    Although I can still edit with this footage, using scene detect, with 280 clips per hour tape, it is not pleasant removing 8 frames from the front and 15 frames from the back of each of the 280 clips.
    Is there a solution to this problem or perhaps a quick-automatic way of removing the frames from each of the 280 clips?

  • Direct DSO.

    Hi
    Im not sure whether the data will be overwritten for the same key fields in Direct DSO. Please find below my Direct DSO design:
    Key fields : 0DOC_NUMBER, 0S_ORD_ITEM, 0VBELV, GSS1POSNN
    Data fields : GSS1STS (Status), GS1JBDATE (Date)
    The direct DSO is updated through a program. I just want to find out what will happen if we have the same key fields, the data will be overwritten or added.
    Regards
    Sadeesh

    Hello,
    Direct DSO has just the active table. And data is written in the DSO as per the normal table concept.
    Hence data with same will be overwritten, if you use the correct (modify) ABAP statement.
    I think below is some relevant info:
    Definition
    The DataStore object for direct update differs from the standard DataStore object in terms of how the data is processed. In a standard DataStore object, data is stored in different versions (active, delta, modified), whereas a DataStore object for direct update contains data in a single version. Therefore, data is stored in precisely the same form in which it was written to the DataStore object for direct update by the application. In the BI system, you can use a DataStore object for direct update as a data target for an analysis process. More information: Analysis Process Designer.
    The DataStore object for direct update is also required by diverse applications, such as SAP Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) for example, as well as other external applications.
    Structure
    The DataStore object for direct update consists of a table for active data only. It retrieves its data from external systems via fill or delete APIs.
    The following APIs exist:
    RSDRI_ODSO_INSERT: Inserts new data (with keys not yet in the system).
    RSDRI_ODSO_INSERT_RFC: see above, can be called up remotely
    RSDRI_ODSO_MODIFY:  inserts data having new keys; for data with keys already in the system, the data is changed.
    RSDRI_ODSO_MODIFY_RFC: see above, can be called up remotely
    RSDRI_ODSO_UPDATE: changes data with keys in the system
    RSDRI_ODSO_UPDATE_RFC: see above, can be called up remotely
    RSDRI_ODSO_DELETE_RFC: deletes data
    The loading process is not supported by the BI system. The advantage to the way it is structured is that it is easy to access data. Data is made available for analysis and reporting immediately after it is loaded.
    Creating a DataStore Object for Direct Update
    When you create a DataStore object, you can change the DataStore object type under Settings in the context menu. The default setting is Standard. You can only switch between DataStore object types Standard and Direct Update if data does not yet exist in the DataStore object.
    Integration
    Since you cannot use the loading process to fill DataStore objects for direct update with BI data (DataSources do not provide the data), DataStore objects are not displayed in the administration or in the monitor. However, you can update the data in DataStore objects for direct update to additional InfoProviders.
    If you switch a standard DataStore object that already has update rules to direct update, the update rules are set to inactive and can no longer be processed.
    Since a change log is not generated, you cannot perform a delta update to the InfoProviders at the end of this process.
    The DataStore object for direct update is available as an InfoProvider in BEx Query Designer and can be used for analysis purposes.
