Adding second page

Hi,
I am new to adobe forms and have looked around to find the answer to this. My problem is I have a 2 page interactive form where the first page is legal size portrait and the second is supposed to be landscape. I was able to change the second page but when I try to make it landscape it makes the first page landscape as well. Is there a way to make this work?

Hi mcurtis,
To change the Page settings, Goto the designer in that goto toolbar Palette->Heirarchy or Window->Heirarchy and there you'll find (MasterPage) in the left hand side (where a new palette window open's up) click on that inside that you'll see Page1, now goto toolbar Palette->Object or Window->Object. There you'll see Paper Type where are different Size's are available and also you can set page orientation ( either Portrait or Landscape), etc, from there.
Similarly now right click on the "Page1" and select "New Master Page". Do the same settings as above.
Note: Rename the" (untitled Content Area)" to any name it'll be easy in designing Body Pages.
Now if you want to create any body pages then create one by right clicking on the main root node and selecting "New Body Page". You can any no. of Body Pages. And if you want to set the Master Page for the body page then goto Palette->Object and select Pagination Tab and Now in "Place" select the arrow and select the Content Area of the Master Page. Similarly repeat for any no of body pages.

Getting Runtime error while adding Second page in Smartform.

I added 2 pages in smartform. When I worked with single page. smartform working properly. Now I added one more page(i.e Second page) I am getting runtime error. ("The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
situation". A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSTXBC" raised the exception
condition "ERROR".) When I debug this standard program Something width problem getting on line number 110. Both width not matched so program raising exception. Can you please tell me to solve this problem what changes will I do in my smartform?

Please let me know the details of each page.
Error can occur in these cases.
1) You copied the first page to second. and later you change the width of second page
2) You created the second page and there is template in second page. each column width is not matching with the total width of the template.
3) windows width is greater than the page width
Please have a look.

How can I create second page in Pages document?

In my Pages document, I've gotten to the bottom of the page and can't get a second page.

If you are using the wprd processing document it will add a page when go continue to write.
If you use a page layout document and have added a textbox to write your text you have to go Insert > Page > choose text or blank.

Hyperlink does not open new window on the second page

Hi,
I have a report which shows list of products. Every product id has hyperlink to show details. When I click on any hyperlink on the first page, it opens in new window and looks good. But the hyperlink from the second page opens in the same window and overwrites main report.
I am not sh=ure what is happening?
Does anybody come across such problem and have the solution?

Hi Julia,
This is the way to resolve the issue in BO XI 3.1 SP3 :
Open the existing Crystal Report in the Crystal Reports Designer
Edit the formula which was created in the above step and replace sWindow=New with "target=_blank" as follows:
a href="http://<servername>:<port>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sDocName=Drilldown" target="_blank"> MyTest </a>
Save this formula and save the report as well
Log onto the BusinessObjects Server box and modify the web.xml file located in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\CrystalReports\WEB-INF by adding the following code in it:
<context-param>
　　　　　　<param-name>
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 crystal_encode_html_for_single_line_field_objects
　　　　　　</param-name>
　　　　　<param-value>no</param-value>
</context-param>
5. Save this file
6. Restart the application server (Tomcat)
7. Now, when you open the report in InfoView and click on the hyperlink, the target report should open in a new window.

How to add a second page to scene selections link

I imported a QuickTime that has 12 chapter markers. iDVD automatically creates the main page that has two links: "Play Movie" and "Scene Selection". When I try to burn the DVD, I get an error telling me that the "Scene Selection" page has more than 12 buttons. If you add the 12 scene titles and the back arrow button, then there are 13 buttons. Therefore, I must add another page that will contain at least one of the 12 scene titles. My question is, how can I keep the one main page so that when I click on "Scene Selection", it takes me to a second page that has a few scene titles and also has a page advance arrow that if clicked, will take me to the next page of scene selections. The only way I can figure out how to do it is to have the main page contain two links: one for scenes 1 - 6 and one for scenes 7 - 12. What am I missing? Thanks for any help.

On the scene selection page use the "+" button to create a new submenu page:
Select the last scene link, go to the submenu and paste. Go into the Preview mode and make sure the link works. Then go to the first scene selection menu and delete that last scene link.
If you copy and paste more than one link to the subkmenu remember the order they are added to that menu determines the order they will be highlighted when using the DVD player's remote device.

Why do apps install on the second page?

I have restored the device and I still, even with plenty of room, have newly downloaded apps being added to my second page??? ***

Slightly bumping because I believe I understand this strange phenomena...
It would appear that the iPhone allows you to create folders, but the device still treats these apps even when they are put in folders as if they take a "Space" on the homescreen. That being said if you have more than a few third party applications installed they would " if you were to unfolder all your apps" end up on the second page.
Please tell me I am wrong and this is a joke...

How to get data from a second page?

Hi guys,
I have the first page, where I have a button, which will navigate to the second page to let user make some choices.
After the user makes the choices, user will click a button to get back.
How can I pass the choices back to the first page?

Hi Aaron,
you can use the EventBus for the same.
1) publish the event bus on click of the button ( the event f which navigates back to the earlier page)
2) in the publish of this event bus, pass all the data which you have captured / which has been clicked.
3) subscribe the eventBus in the App.Controller page ( assuming that you have created an app.view in which you have defined the sap.m.App() , to take care of all the pages to be added into the app).
4) the handler function of this subscribe, will navigate you to the page required, along with the whole set of data you have passed in the publish of event bus.
5) use onBeforeShow(oEvent) hook method in the view, which is being finally routed to.
all the data passed from the previous view will be accessible here via : oEvent.data.dataPassedFromPreviousView
Note : dataPassedFromPreviousView, assuming is to be the object in which u have set the data in the publish.

Page numbering every second page

Hi guys,
ok I have a 200 page booklet I'm doing, very simple - a notes page on the left hand side and then the contacts details on the right. But in the top right corner I need a page number that correlates with the contact. Problem is if I make page numbers it'll have them as 24, 26, 28 etc when that's not what I want.
Is there a way to skip a page and just page number every second page?

It isn't entirely clear, but are we dealing with one person's contact info per page, or many? Sounds like 1.
If it is, as I mentioned in your other thread, you could set this up as a Data Merge project. Create a two-page template spread, Add whatever you need for the notes page to the left page, and put all of your data fields on the right. You can include a number as one of the fields and palce it anywhere you want. This will only work with one record per page, though.
If you'd rather number pages after the fact, it's probably scriptable to do something with starting a new section every second page and assign the numbers, or you could just add a master frame to the master page and place a number list, which is pretty simple.
None of these techniques is truly automatic in the sense of updating if things are added or deleted, or if pages are rearranged. Any numbering outside the merge whould be done as the last step.

Adding additional pages to the universal driver's special pages settings

Hi.
Ok I have a 3 tray HP laserjet 4050 printer that we use for printing works orders.
I have it set up so that page 1 will print from say tray 3 and then page 2 will print from tray 1 etc but I really need to beable to get the printer to print pages 3 and 4 from a different tray also.
I am using the HP universal 5.5 driver as the 4050 does not support special page printing. Problem is the Special Page settings (through driver 5.5)only seem to support first and second page printing.
Is there a way to get it to add a 3rd and 4th page to this section?
this issue is now becoming a serious problem for me work wise.

He is using the blog template to create a blog.
The photo on the main page has been highlighted and then selected as a link to the "entry".
Select "iWeb help" form the "help" drop down menu and you will find information about making a blog.
Then go to the section on "working with text and adding links".
If you are really new to this I would recommend you watch the video tutorials that can be accessed from the iWeb "help" menu.

Smartforms : Second Page Main Window not being called

Hi All,
The smartform has 2 different pages, with totally different layout.
This also include that the Main window of both pages are different, having 2 different tables to fetch data.
The main window width sizes are the same on both the pages.
I have already used the Command node to call the second page, which it does.
The problem I am facing now is that the Secondary windows on page2 gets displayed, but the main window does not get displayed.
I have put a break-point in the code of main window of Page2. When executing this, it does not get triggered at all.
Now if I change the attribute of this main main window to secondary window and then I execute it then it gets triggered and gets displayed.
I have to keep this window as the main window as there might be chances of data overflow which should then continue printing on the next pages, therefore I cannot make it as the secondary window.
Please tell why the Main Window is not being called? (Note: Size of Main Windowin Page2 is same as main window in Page1)
I have searched the SDN already and did not find a solution to resolve this problem.

Hi All,
I have got the solution to this probelm.
In Page1 Main Window I have Table1 and a command node to Goto Page2.
Just after this command node I have added Table2 which earlier was the table in Main window of Page2.
So currently the Main window in Page2 has nothing included in it.
Anything after Command gets printed into the next page. Table2 is a part of Main Window in Page1 which gets printed into Main window of Page2.

XML Import - Adding a page

Hi!
i have one xml file with two tables in it and one template designed in indesign. So when i import the file there is only room for one table. Is it possible to duplicate the page with indesign scripting to have the second table on the second page in this template??

You're solution is the only one that's possible since pages can't be added to a calendar and the back page is not editable.
If you use a jpg or png image of about 3000 x 1500 pixels you should get decent results. What is desired is an image around 300 dpi as that's the resolution of the pdf document that iPhoto creates for uploading and printing the calendar.
I think the png format will scale text better than a jpg or tiff.

Spawning two templates to create second page, possible?

I am not sure if this is possible but based on a value on the first page i want to be able to create a second page using two templates.
My script below just creates two extra pages. Any ideas please?

Thanks for the comments, the loops were taken initially from the examples on the SDK site for another project which needed more than one page template, I've taken them out and retried with the bOverlay changed to false but it adds 3 templates of which two are the same?

Can't see text entered on second page

My wife is trying to write a school paper on her iPad in Pages. The first page works fine. When the doc gets long enough that it goes on to the second page, it gets weird sometimes. Text entered via the on-screen keyboard does not display. The cursor moves, but the text isn't there.
It will display when she rotates the iPad. Then the keyboard and the data redraw and it's fine.
Any suggestions?

I just got Pages yesterday and had the vanishing text and typing over text thing happening. I thought it might have been the pictures files I added to the document were big files and it was slowing it down but today I worked on the same document and did not have the problem. The difference is that I was listening to iTunes on the iPad while working in Pages. But I also had removed a couple of objects and was only working on a one page Pages doc for today.
For me it might have been playing music and working in Pages at the same time was a conflict for the iPad.
I'm fairly new to the iPad and very new to Pages.

Unwanted Second Page

Hello!
I have created a form. I added a second page using the break feature, but then removed that break. I now have an unwanted "Next, page 1 of 2" at the bottom of my online form. There is no break in the form. I put in screen shots The top is my design. The second is my preview. Please help. Thanks!

In the bottom right corner of the Design tab there is a drop down that switchs between page view and web view. Change it to web view to remove the page break. The page breaks in eah view are independent of each other.

Remembering Template Changes for second page

I have adapted the San Fransisco Letter template to suit my own needs, copying my own logo, and updating the address details. I have then saved the new template, and it appears in My Templates - so far so good! I have noticed though that when I go to a second page in my letter, the original San Fransisco Template appears - with the incorrect logo and address. Am I missing something? Is there a way for my Template changes to carry over to the second page? Thank you very much.

Okay, now we're getting somewhere. The address area you're referring to is already defined as a master object. Here's what I did: I put my own address in that object, moved my cursor to the end of the page, then added a page break. Like your situation, the master object repeated on the next page (as a master object will), but it repeated with template information, and not the address I put in. That's what's happening to you. So I started over. I put in my address, moved my cursor to the end of the page, but instead of adding a page break, I added a section break -- voilá. It worked.
What confused me for so long is that master objects usually just look for a page break in order to repeat. For some reason, yours is looking for a section break. Go figure. Anyway, now we know how to fix it. Good luck.
