Adding sequential numbers to a slide show using Lightroom 4.4?

How do you add sequential numbers to a slide show using Lightroom 4.4? I want images to show sequentially with each having a specific number such as 1 of 25, 2 of 25, 3 of 25 and so on. Please advise.

Sorry, that computer is not connected to the internet right now- husband is using wifi to watch World Cup. Here's a picture from my phone. If it's too hard to read I can take a screen shot in an hour or so.
Thank you both in advance for your help.

  • I created a slide show using my photos on iphoto can I burn this to a dvd with the music in the backgroun

I created a slide show using photos from iphoto and I was able to put it to music to view it on my mac. I am trying to figure out a way to download it or burn it to a DVD with the music in order that it can be given as a gift. Also is there a way to use multiple songs for the slideshow.
    thanks much

First if you slideshow requires more than one audio track go to iTunes and create a new playlist with the music you want.  You can take the total time of the playlist and divide by the number of slides to get the approximate playing time for each slide.
In iDVD go into the slideshow window and then click on the Audio button at the right.  Locate the playlist and drag it into the music bin at the bottom of the window.
Be sure that non of the audio tracks are DRM protected tracks from the iTunes store.  You won't be able to use them if they are.  And remember this is only for slideshows created by iDVD from still photos imported from iPhoto.

  • Is anyone using iPhoto having a problem with the slide show using shatter where it does not let you put a title over photo?

Is anyone using iPhoto having a problem with the slide show using shatter where it does not let you put a title over photo? It use to work but it no longer lets you place a title over the opening photo.

Is your signature still current?(iPhoto '08, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4))    I can confirm this for iPhoto '11; Shatter will only show the text slide title between the slides. Ken Burns and Classic theme can still be set to overlay the caption and title directly over the slides.

  • Adding music to a slide show in Lightroom 5

I have created a slideshow with Lightroom 5 that has 807 photos.  The duration of the slide show is 1 hour, 33 minutes.  When I try to add music in LR 5, it will allow only one song.  How do I add music that will cover the entire slide show?

Lightroom only allows for one music file. If you want a longer file, you'll have to splice together your music files in another application (such as Audition) and use that larger file in Lightroom.

Can I make a non-flash slide show using Fireworks, with JPEGs not GIFs?

Look to using jQuery instead of Flash.  There are a variety of redy-made solutions available, just search Google or visit the Dreamweaver forum and ask there.

  • How to create a slide show using Flash and some pictures

I looked at many books but I can't find how I can make a slide show using flash. Can anyone give me some idea how I might go with this?

What you should do is search Google for things like "Flash slideshow tutorial" or if you know what version of actionscript you want to use, try using that in place of "Flash" in the search terms.

  • I made a slide show using imovie.  When I play it back on my imac, the slideshow looks perfect.  However when I burned in via iDVD and play the disc, the resolution drops off.  The video appears fuzzy and not sharp.  Any ideas why?

I made a slide show using imovie.  When I play it back on my imac, the slide show is crystal clear and sharp.   I burned a disc of the slide show using iDVD.  When I played the dvd the resolution is very poor.  Fuzzy and shakey images.  I tried various solutions, Apple tec told me to go to preferences on iDVD  and select "professional" to get higher resolution. Tried that but results still the same.  Any ideas?

When you play on your Mac, you can have resolution up to 1920x1080.
When you burn to iDVD you convert to 640x480.

  • Image quality of slide shows using Aperture 3 seems inferior to iPhoto '08

I haven't previously used Aperture. I've been using a copy of iPhoto '08 for several years. I've shot everything in RAW for the last several years and process it in
DXO on my Mac Pro (3 1/2 years old with 7 gigs of RAM). I then load the jpegs into iPhoto '08.
I downloaded Aperture 3 yesterday, and it certainly is impressive in what it can do for improving existing jpegs. I think I could do most touch-ups with Aperture
instead of Photoshop 3. Because of some glitch, I couldn't load or link to my 37,000 images from iPhoto but I did export about 4000 images as full jpegs into
a separate file and then imported these images into Aperture. Touch-ups are an order of magnitude better that trying to use iPhoto to do the same.
I'm an amateur and aside from a fair amount of print making and a few thousand images uploaded to a new Picasa account
    http://picasaweb.google.com/jamesn88888
I enjoy a lot of my images via slide shows on my 23" Apple monitor, usually sequenced at 3 seconds per slide.
Comparing slide shows of identical jpegs run with iPhoto '08 and then with the files uploaded to Aperture 3 there is a very subtle loss of definition with Aperture. It's not so
obvious when viewing relatively large detail but is is very noticeable when running slides containing small detail. When both of these programs are just used to display static images full screen I note no difference in readability. Someone suggested that I check the preferences for preview displays. Sure enough, it was set for relatively low quality. I decided to re-do all 4000 images maximum preview display quality.
Using the import settings that came already selected on the trial software, the total size of my
Aperture 3 trial library was a little over 25 GB. The quality of the slide shows did not approximate
the quality of the slide shows of the identical jpegs included in my iPhoto '08 library.
I therefore re-processed all of the previews to the "don't limit" in the photo preferences. The total size of my Aperture 3 trial library grew from 25GB to 41.37GB, an increase of 17 GB. With 3926 jpegs in the library that means the average additional size added to each preview image was 4.33 Megabytes. Inasmuch as the original jpeg images that I imported into Aperture 3 were more in the neighborhood of 1.7 to 3.5 Megabytes each (I have DXO output most jpegs @ 90% quality- fine for my purposes), this is an extreme measure to take in order to be able to use Aperture 3 the same way that I used iPhoto '08. In comparing slide shows between the two applications I still get the feeling that there is a very slight loss in acutance when viewing the slide shows. iPhoto still wins out.
I think that I'm better off staying with iPhoto and continuing to do the RAW processing with DXO and slight file modifications with iPhoto. More elaborate changes can continue to be done using Photoshop 3 and Viveza. It's a shame, because I really like the image processing abilities that are contained in the new Aperture.
Have any of you compared slide show views on your computer between Aperture and iPhoto?
Is there any workaround for best slide show viewing- importing or referencing my existing iPhoto library of 37,000 images does not work for me. My copy of iPhoto 7.1.5 get the message that Aperture cannot import or link to iPhoto earlier than 7.1.5 (?)

I think I've solved my problem with a Google Search. I came across a free slide show generator
(contributions requested) that shows much higher quality slide shows than either iPhoto or Aperture 3.
You click on a folder of jpegs and it almost immediately generates thumbnails and within a few seconds
I can be viewing a full screen, tack sharp, slideshow of all of the files in the folder. Much sharper than
    I'm used to seeing.
I think I'll keep the Aperture 3 and use if for the purpose it's intended for in the future. I'll also redo the
image preview files to the small size it started with and then I'll copy all of the files I'm interested in from
iPhoto into a separate folder on another disk. I'll use Aperture to catalog and to perform image manipulations
on but I won't try to use it as an iPhoto replacement. I don't think I'll be using iPhoto much as an image
viewer in the future either after I finish moving my favorite pictures to the Phoenix Slides folder.
The name of the free program is Phoenix Slides. It's free to download and try, free to keep (though I
think you'd want to pay the small amount requested) and fast. My pictures have never looked so good
    before.

  • Adding photo collage image to slide show in photoshop elts 9

I created a photo collage page using photoshop elements 9 and saved it as a jpg file. It looked clear and sharp on screen.   When creating slide show, I added this page but when I play the slide show full screen, the image for this page is blurer than normal.  Other regular photos I added in the slide show are ok.  Why does this happen and is there a way to overcome it?

Maybe it's me, but... scoobie... i don't think your reply has anything to do with her question lol. I believe she's saying she is having trouble figuring out how to do something, not that the program is crashing.
Anyway, I'm starting a similar slideshow project. I think it's easiest to simply edit the photos in iPhoto. Photoshop is on a different level from iPhoto and obviously has capabilities iPhoto lacks, but I think it should be fine for just editing digital photos.
One of the things you said was "how do you format... resolution"
I don't think iPhoto can change the resolution of a photo like photoshop can, but since you want to make the FINEST quality slide show I assume you'd want to scale the resolution up... and although photoshop can do that, I don't think you'll see a significant increase in quality. It won't look anything like if you had actually taken the photo at a higher resolution.
As far as importing pictures into iMovie goes, that should be pretty easy. If you click on the "media" button in iMovie, and then click on the "Photos" tab on the upper right of the window, it will display your iPhoto library the same way it would display it in iPhoto (organized by albums). You can then drag whatever photos you want to include to the "timeline" at the bottom of the screen.
I'm not sure what to tell you about pixel ratio and RGB vs. CMYK....
The last step, exporting to iDVD is just as simple as adding pictures... just click on the "Share" menu at the top of the screen and select "iDVD". What you do from there depends on what kind of final product you want... and I haven't actually used iDVD so I would just be guessing on that part lol.
Also, I suggest going here: http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/imovie/index.html and looking at the tutorial. I viewed most of the movies there and they were helpful.

  • Is there a way to project a slide show using iPad with Chromecast? Other better solution?

When I travel for business I like to try to just bring my iPad and no laptop.  I need to be able to project some slides (could be .ppt or .pdf).  I have Chromecast installed and working on the TV.  I also have the latest "free" version of Powerpoint on my iPad. I do not pay for the MS360 subscription at this time - I only use it to view slides as needed and edit on laptop.  Series 3 iPad with latest software.
    1) Is there a way to project a slide show to a projector or TV using Chromecast in conjunction with either Dropbox or Powerpoint, on the iPad?
or in absence of a "yes"
    2) What is the best toy to buy so that I can mirror my iPad screen to a projector / TV?  Note I don't need a $100 Apple TV brick, please.

  • When adding music to an iphoto slide show, is it possible to sample pieces of songs?

Does anyone simply sample bits of music for their slide shows? I have only been able to apply entire songs.

You can't. Iphoto plays the music track. It's it's 3 minutes long then it plays for 3 minutes.
So if you want to play segements you'll need to copy the track, duplicate it and edit it to the requied length
    Or
Use an app that supports multiple audio tracks.
    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
    iMovie, on every Mac sold.
Others, in order of price: PhotoPresenter  $29
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
FotoMagico $29 (Home version) ($149 Pro version, which includes PhotoPresenter)
    Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

  • Can you make an exe file for a slide show using PS Elements?

Although I use ProShow Gold for slide shows, I need information on other programs that can provide an option for an exe format. I am not too technical so I can't tell from my Elements and couldn't find anything here. I will be running a competition in which exe files are needed so they can be played on any computer. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I hope your competition goes well. I suggest though that you thoroughly scan each submitted file for virus and malware on an isolated machine first. While not suggesting your competitors would deliberately infect their entry but if their own machines were unknowingly infected by (say) a trojan that could potentially infect the executables they create for your competition.
If it was me I'd request files in a standard format (e.g. WMV) that is readable by just about any media playing software such as Windows Media Player.
