Adding signature via Wacom tablet in Pages...possible?

Seems MS Word 2007 has inking feature...can't locate anything like it in Pages. I love my new Bamboo Fun tablet, but I don't know how to use it to add signatures to documets created in Pages. Anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance!

Could you save your signature as a .png or PDF & insert that into your Pages document?
This sounds like a very useful feature. I suggest you leave feedback for the Pages team requesting it for a future version.

  • Port forwarding/adding IPcamera via Airport Extreme Can't possibly be this complex, can it?

Any other new router has WPS (that youcan disable to rpevent hackers) and lets you connect to IP cameras.  Not AE. I use apple because I am not a programmer.  Am I missing something, or is Apple?  Suggestions appreciated.

I do appreciate your response, but it kinda goes back to my original post--  I am not programmer or geek (NO offense intended, we all need geeks and they're generaly very nice folks)-- I use apple because it works-- now I need to do work arounds and install old software through a third party vendor.....
I think I'm just gonna get a new, non-airport, router.  Their speeds are faster and connectivy is simpler.
I hated typing that.  I love Apple, but this is just isn't what I signed up for.
    Again, Thanks.

  • Connecting a serial wacom tablet to the new iMac

    Hello,
At home I have an old PC (please don't laugh, I use a Mac at work) and I hope to change this to the new iMac very soon. I have a A4 wacom tablet connected to the PC via the serial port. Is it possible to get an adapter (serial to USB) that will work on the iMac so that I can use the tablet and not have to shell out another X anount of money for a new one??
    Thanks in advance.

  • With Parental Controls on, Wacom Tablet pressure sensativity will not work.

I run several high-end Mac Art and Photo-based labs and have run into an issue with Leopard's Parental Controls and Wacom Tablets - when I choose to limit the programs that my users (students) can use, Wacom Tablets will lose functionality under those logins - and it seems only to be pressure-sensitive functions. I've tried several combinations of allowing all programs except utilities, with utilities, etc - no dice - I actually have to turn off "limit programs" and that is the only point that it'll actually let me use all the Wacom's functionality under those managed users - is there a way to fix this?

..."I've allowed all Utilities, Applications, etc and no matter what, as soon as I turn on the "only allowed selected programs" option, it won't work."...
I'm not sure, but it is possible that allowing / disallowing based on the pre-defined categories may not work because the software that Wacom uses on my system is in an atypical location, and has an atypical structure - it actually has one application contained inside another. It may be necessary to approve the apps explicitly.
    Perhaps try either:
    i) Opening "/Library" > "Application Support" > "Tablet" and explicitly dragging any apps present there into the "Parental Controls" pref pane in the panel where the programmes are listed. On my system, the app is called "PenTabletDriver.app"...
    or
ii) Logging in to the managed account (with application restrictions in place), and trying to launch the "PenTabletDriver.app" programme. If this generates the "application is not allowed" message, it should be possible to "always allow" with "admin" authentication to white-list it at that stage...

  • Wacom tablet and photoshop

I have just got a new Macbook Pro Yosemite. I have Adobe CS6 and everytime I use my Wacom tablet it acts buggy. For instance: Using the eraser tool, if I want to make the eraser larger I hit "]" as a shortcut. This doesn't work unless I click on a mouse first on the background before using the Pen again. This happens for other tools and shortcuts. The Polygonal Lasso tool also only works if there is a very long lag between points using the Wacom Pen.
Is anyone else having this issue? I've tried reinstalling the Wacom drivers and updating the software but it has yet to be effective.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Cheers

That is a definite yes. It is way more accurate than the mouse is and it provides pressure values that will be important for any brush work. Even Illustrator makes use of them.
There will be a lot of clipping images for the web page so it makes sense to have a precise instrument to do the job.
One last thing, it will help prevent carpal tunnel in your wrist. If you already have it it will provide some relief. If nothing more than a way to alter how you hold your hand for a while.
It will take some time getting use to the tablet, so keep a mouse around, especially at school. Nothing worse than getting frustrated when your under a time crunch. Play with the tablet at home get use to it, when you feel comfortable with it, then try it in school. Just be prepared to use the mouse when your under pressure. Over time that won't be an issue.

  • Wacom Tablet causes Apple wireless keyboard to stop working.

My Wacom tablet/pen causes my Apple wireless keyboard to stop working.  While working on a photo in Photoshop using my Apple (usb) mouse to make selections the keyboard works fine.  When I use the Wacom Pen to make selections, not immediately but anywhere from five to ten minutes into it, I hear what sounds like a chirp from my computer (Mac Pro) and my keyboard stops working.  The command, option, control and direction keys still work but not the number and letter keys.  I have to connect a spare Logitech keyboard via USB in order to continue and not loose my work.  After awhile I will hear the chirp again and the Apple keyboard will start working.  This will continue to occur at irregular intervals.  Without the spare keyboard I've had to reboot my computer (loosing all the work on the photo) to get the keyboard working again, but only for it to reoccur.  Any suggestions to fix this would be appreciated.

The Mac inherently keeps all input methods active, such that you could type alternate keys on alternate keyboards.
If you have third party add-ons that might change the way Bluetooth works, those would be the primary suspects.
Be sure all your Drivers are completely up-to-date, and batteries in battery-powered devices are still strong.
Bluetooth uses the same part of the frequency spectrum (but a different modulation technique) as cheap WiFi Routers, baby monitors, and microwave ovens. if you live in a busy apartment building, there may be very high levels of interference.

  • Wacom tablet brush features lagging and non-responsive

I am a photographer and rely heavily on my Wacom tablet to edit my images in Photoshop. The latest CS6 update and CC update disables any tool that uses the brush feature. If I work with a tool for example the quick selection tool, before I can use any keyboard shortcuts or hot keys I have to click anywhere else in my workspace, then my keyboard will work. I cannot increase the selection size of the tool, cannot adjust hue or saturation,  and cannot choose another tool using the keyboard shortcuts.
THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM for me at the moment. My editing time has nearly TRIPLED because of the additional steps I have to take.
I contacted Wacom support and they told me to contact Adobe. All of the Adobe forums said to contact Wacom. I am now stuck in an endless battle of neither company wanting to take responsibility.
The most recent Wacom drive supports Mac 10.8x-10.10x so Wacom does not believe that their driver is the cause of the malfunction. When I use my Apple mouse I do not have any of these issues in Photoshop. Yes, the simple answer is to stop using my Wacom and just use my mouse but that is not a plausible argument for a left-handed person.
I am also frustrated that I could not contact support via email that I had to start a discussion. Hoping someone from Adobe will respond or even see this. Clearly there is an error with the Adobe software.

Ok the problem seems to be fixed for me. Here what I did:
Before, I was running Yosemite 10.10 on an iMac i7
I had the latest driver from Wacom (I tried a couple of older drivers, to no avail)
I'm running PS CS6, with all update
I'm using a Wacom Intuos 5 medium tablet
I was getting super bad lag while using the brush and other tools. Let's say I'd open an image to edit. After selecting the keyboard shortcut for my brush, I'd make one pass with the brush on the image. The brush stroke would be there, but it wouldn't show up in the history palette. Only after making another brush stroke would the previous action be recorded in the history palette. I was lagging real bad. In between brush strokes I wouldn't be able to change tools or even change the size of my brush. Nothing worked. I'd have to click off the image to regain control, or click the trackpad to regain control. BTW, the trackpad worked perfectly. NO lag for anything in PS. The polygonal lasso tool, one of my favorite selection tools, was basically unusable with the lag. I'd have to click several times before it would catch up and then sometime it would just randomly close the selection. So that was useless.
Ok, so that's what was happening to me. My tablet was basically useless. It took triple the time to work with it.
All I did was update Yosemite to 10.10.1 and the tablet now works PERFECTLY in photoshop cs6 for me. I'm not sure you'll get the same results but it worked for my computer. I really didn't think it would work so I was pleasantly surprised when it did.
I had tried installing older wacom drivers. Didn't work.
I tried reinstalling PS CS6 in a new user profile on my Mac. Didn't work.

  • How do I connect a Thunderbolt display to a 21UX Cintiq Wacom tablet with a single link DVD-I connector?

I just bought a brand new thunderbolt display along with a 2013 mac pro and I'd like to hook my 2 year old 21UX Cintiq Wacom tablet directly to the display using the thunderbolt port on the display itself. Currently, I have the Cintiq daisychain connected directly to the mac pro using an Apple mini display port -> DVI-D (dual link) adapter, which is then connected to a DVI-D (single link) -> DVI-I (dual link) adapter, which is then finally connected to the Cintiq's DVI-I (single link) connector (this is permanently attached to the Cintiq and can't be traded out). As you can imagine, what has resulted is a lot of color variations between the Cintiq and Thunderbolt displays (that color calibration in system preferences has not been able to remedy) as well as some flickering of both displays at random intervals. I'd like the colors of the displays to match as close as possible and for the flickering to stop, of course, and from what I understand, connecting the displays directly with as few adapters as possible is the best way to do that. Unfortunately, most of my searches have not helped very much. Here is a photo of my daisychained set-up to better assist anyone who thinks they might be able to help:
Lastly, just in case: the mini display port to DVI adapter is not compatible with the Thunderbolt display's port, which is why it is connected to the mac pro, so I imagine a solution might require searching for an adapter from a different manufacturer, if such a thing even exists. If not, what other solutions would anyone suggest to get the colors of the displays to match more closely and the flickering to stop as well as lessen the amount of adapters I am using?
    Thank you!

From you picture, you have a Mini DisplayPort to Single-Link DVI-D adapter.  (The last in DVI-D is for "Digital", not "Dual-Link".)
You don't need dual link unless the resolution is greater than 1920 x 1200.
Mini DisplayPort devices or adapters won't work plugged directly into a Thunderbolt display.  You need a Thunderbolt disk or dock (with two Thunderbolt ports) connected between the Thunderbolt display and the Mini DisplayPort adapter.

  • I got Photoshop Elements 11 when I got my Wacom tablet, but I can't find the serial number anywhere?

I got Photoshop Elements 11 when i got my wacom tablet this summer. I recently got a better computer so i want Elements 11 on it too. The problem is that I cannot find the serial number anywhere to be able to use it on my new computer. Since I got Elements through Wacom, it does not show up as a product on my Adobe profile. Does anyone know what I can do to get it back?

  • Adding Signatures in Acrobat 9

    Hi,
In Acrobat 7, it was possible to open PDF, add signature. On adding signature, it used to NOT pop up a "Save As" box. One could simply save the file after adding signature.
On upgrading to Acrobat 9, after adding signature, it pops up a "Save As" box, to save the pdf file (can be saved with a different / same name) .
I have two questions regarding this.
    1. What is the significance of this change in Acrobat 9?
    2. Can some settings be changed to make it work like it use to in Acrobat 7?
Can somebody please help me with this.
    Thank You

You should use the Save As (even back with AA7). The Save As removes any changes that you would expect to removed from the file. Save keeps all the changes, old and new, often bloating the file.

  • Wacom Tablet

    Hello all,
I have a first gen 17" Macbook Pro (Intel Core Duo), and I would love to play around more with digital art, and have flexibility with drawing, editing photographs, using Photoshop etc (for digital art and web page design). I'm looking to get a Wacom tablet and wondering if there were any other artists/designers here that used them. I need some suggestions I'd have a tight budget, but would love to hear your recommendations anyway

hey, I have the Intuos3 4x5. (it's the smallest of the pro line).
I bought the basic tablet a size bigger to my brother and tried it before. I liked the small size much better.
The size is important, and you can decide which size is right for you. If you do fine art, the bigger tablet will give you the momentum of the stroke. If you are planning on using it in other applications as well, or your strokes are controlled the smaller is better cause your hand will be moving from wrist instead of from elbow or arm. I found it really hard to work with the bigger tablet because of that. (Wacom has a quick questionnaire on their website that helps you decide which tablet is right for you).
The tablet corresponds with the screen real estate, so the bigger the tablet the more your hand will have to move from one corner to the other.
I have a hard time using it in InDesign. I don't even use it anywhere else but photoshop, but boy for that it was worth every penny. It's a bless working with it, fine art or retouching!!!
    I highly recommend it.

  • Wacom Tablet help

Earlier I was using a wacom tablet in adobe cs3 just fine, now I get no tip sensitivity. As in, the pen will always draw a think line no matter how light I use the pen. Any help would be great

Does the test window in the control panel respond to different pressures?
You might have pressure sensitivity disabled for the particular tool in
Photoshop. This is controlled via the drop downs along the right edge of
    the tool palette.
Try resetting your prefs - hold down ctrl-alt-shift while Photoshop starts.
Next thing I would suggest is to uninstall the tablet, and re-install the
    latest drivers from www.Wacom.com .

  • Why does my Wacom tablet only make straight lines with the pencil & brush tool even WITHOUT shift?

I have Photoshop CS3 on Mac OSX 10.5.8 on a white MacBook and I'm using a Wacom CTE-630, and I always had the correct drivers.
Yesterday I discovered that the brush and pencil tools were incapable of doing anything but a dot or a straight line while I used my Wacom tablet. Using those tools with the touchpad works perfectly! Curves and squiggles abound! But for some reason I can't do it with my tablet.
And I yes I tried downloading the latest drivers from the Wacom website... to no avail.
After looking through forums I discovered that it was a problem experienced by users of tablets of other brands, I couldn't find any mention of Wacom tablets having this issue. And then I saw a thread somewhere that mentioned holding shift created straight lines! So I immediately thought that perhaps photoshop was functioning in reverse or maybe my shift button was broken...
So I pressed shift, and something different happened, if I made a dot on the page a line would automatically appear, connecting that dot to the previous dot I had made. Which is in contrast to the issue I had been having which goes something like this:
If I try to make any curved lines, a dot will appear where I first made contact on the page and then when I release the pen from the tablet a straight line will go from there to the dot at the start of the line. In other words, a dot appears when I start a line and no matter what I do with the line after that, a straight line goes from where I ended the line to where I started it!! ARGHHHH!!
And it turns out It's not a Wacom problem, or it doesn't seem to be, because it works fine with the brush tool in Illustrator CS3.
So I came to the conclusion it was Photoshop that was at fault. I found nothing on these forums related to my issue.
I hope someone can help. Because I was really itching to start digitally painting again. =(
    Thanks in advance!!

Yes I did solve the problem!
Thanks to everyone that suggested things, but none of them worked. In the end it was Wacom, yes... WACOM that solved the problem. Even though it was an Adobe Photoshop issue as far as I could tell. So thank you Wacom, you helped me when I needed it most.
So now to the vital solution:
"Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding pen tool in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
Please try the step below for reset CS3
For MAC, please hold pressing command + alt+ shift, then open Photoshop.
Get the CS3 update. Start CS3 while holding.
If the problem remains, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Photoshop CS3 again."
Worked the first time for me. So spread the word! This issue shall trouble people no more, a solution has been found!
