How can i add smilies in a JSP dynamically such that used in a chatting applications during chatting?

i am using servlets,JSPs,Beans,Javascript,HTML in my project with Apache Tomcat 6.0.20 as web server and Oracle 10g as database server.

Adding Flash Video to web page

Hi Everyone,
I have a web page that I have added a flash video to using
the insert flash video option in Dreamweaver. I uploaded all the
files including the additional files that are created when you use
that option and when I try to get to the video file once I have
uploaded it will not play. If I use a link directly to the .swf
then it will play but the link to the page where the video is
inserted just shows a blank page. Can anyone give me any guidance
on how I can get this to work.
P.S. If I preview it from my desktop before uploading to the
website it works fine.

Adding keywords to a web page with Dreamweaver 8

Hi,
Does anyone of you know how to add keywords to a web page
with Dreamweaver 8? I want the link to the web page shows up when
people google the keywords. I pulled out the instructions from
ehow.com and followed the instructions by using the HTML Keywords
function in the Insert menu. I tested it on Google website by
entering the keywords but it did not work.
Any clues would be helpful.

Let's put it this way - those sites I have that are highly
ranked do not
have any meta keywords on them. So - you do the math....

Help adding audio to a web page...

Hi, im about to start designing a web page that will have 4 audio files on it that can be played once clicked on.
I was hoping for something very simple looking (like the amazon audio preview players - track title, play & stop button).
I have never done this before so would appreciate any help you guys could offer.

Adding content to a web page [was: Help with basic question (i think)]

Hi there everyone, first time in this forum.
Im creating a website for the first time in dreamweaver after using other programmes and have so far created a banner and nav bar across the left hand side. I am unsure on how i am meant to add any content into the actual centre of my page as there is no box there to write in or add pictures and when i create a image or div or table they all just hug the top of my page and refuse to go next to the navigation bar like i need to it! im sure it is simple but i am finding it so much harder to use than any other programme.
Im trying to do a list of pictures and descriptions for my mums business.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dreamweaver is a professional web development program that requires at least basic understanding of the underlying web technologies: HTML and CSS. It's not a WYSIWYG program where you can just drag and drop items on a page. WPC - Adding iviews to a web page

Hi All,
1. I understand webdynpro iviews are not supported with WPC, can any body list a few which are?
2. I have followed the links for creating entry point for the iviews and not able to find them in the webcontent folder.
Can anybody describe in detail, what has to be done in order to get the iviews into the webpage.

To Create Entry points, you should follow the following procedure.
Procedure
Carry out the steps below to create a global entry point.
1. Choose System Administration ® System Configuration ® Knowledge Management ® Content Management ® User Interface ® (Show Advanced Options) ® Mapping ® Component.
2. Edit the wpcDragExplorerEntryPoints configuration object.
In the Parameters field, you can enter the following properties:

GoTo Web Page Behaviour & Text?

Hi there.
Flash CS3
I'm just trying to play around with some text animation and
no where
near to what CS3 can do.
1. I have a background image (converted to graphic) on its
own layer
which runs the whole animation. I have added a Go To Web Page
Behaviour
which triggers with "On Release" Event.
2. On second layer I have text created as STATIC text saved
as graphic.
This text drop in from the top to the middle of the
background.
3. On a 3rd layer I have created text as DYNAMIC text which
does the
same as the STATIC text en drop in next to it.
When previewing this in my browser (IE 7 & FF) the little
hand which
says it's clickable goes away when hovering it on top of the
second text
(DYNAMIC). The moment this text appears on the animation, the
place
where I could click to activate the Go to Web Page Behaviour
is not
clickable anymore.

Web page component

i added to add a web page component to an existing page. After editing the properties by giving source as http://www.oracle.com it worked in the preview but after saving and closing, when i browse the page it is showing blank.
i've checked show componets check box as well.

Using Oracle Composer, adding component, configuring and saving must to be stored correctly in MDS. If it's not saving your changes you are having problems with your MDS Repository.
Verify log files and your MDS Data Source connection.
In addition, export the MDS and verify the page definition where you are inserted the component.

Web page breaks when adding utility JARs to my EAR

Hi All,
I am creating a Web Application (.war) that runs some java code and has some JSP web pages to control the code/display results (as a dashboard sort of thing). I have then put this .war file in an enterprise app (.ear file - I have done this as there is other functionality that I want to roll in to the application).
I have been building this in Rational Software Architect and imported the required utility .jar files into the .war project, however when this is built the utility .jars are not included in the exported .ear file (the jsp dashboard pages still display correctly - it just means that the java code cant be run).
To ensure that the utility jar files are included in the exported .ear file I the added the utility jars in to the main .ear project and referenced them from the web app project - this compiles fine - however, when i then view the jsp pages they are now showing blank!
Any ideas as to what might be the problem or why my jsp pages are not showing up once I have added the dependent utility jars in to the ear file?

Don't use layers, use tables. Outlook doesn't render with the
Internet Explorer engine (since Outlook 2007 at least). You also
can't use padding, background images, external CSS styles, and
dozens of other things. You also need to provide a full path to the
images in the newsletter.
In short, it's NOTHING like designing for a browser.

I can't see the iViews or jpegs which I added into the Web Page with WPC

I'm using Netweaver 2004's.
I created a Web Page in the Web Page Composer and in the Site Navigation a Navigation Node to this Web Page.
Then I added a jpg and an iView to this webpage.But I can't see this iView or this jpeg if i open the Web Page.
I'm superadministrator and i have the rights to watch this page
But if i click "Edit Page" i can see everything.
What can be wrong ?

I think Ursula is on the right track here.
I was having the same issue (not seeing iviews in the page - even in edit mode).
I think the solution (somehow) is configuring the initial permissions in the Security Zones.
The only problem is that the documentation is incorrect. The correction is in an SAP Note.
Below is the configuration (correction is bolded!):
Documentation says:
Defining Permissions for Security Zones
1. Navigate to Security Zones → com.sap.nw.wpc → wpc (not pagebuilder!). (The documenation says com.sap.nw.pagebuilder. This is incorrect!)
2. Define permissions for Web site owners and, if necessary, for authors.
a. From the context menu of the medium_safety folder, choose Open Permissions.
b. Give the wpc_editor_role role - or a user group - the permission End User.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
c. Choose Reset Child Permissions.
d. Choose Save.
3. Define permissions for users.
a. From the context menu of the no_safety folder, choose Open Permissions.
b. Give the everyone group - or another user group - the permission End User.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
c. Choose Reset Child Permissions.
d. Choose Save.
I made this change, and now I can see iviews in the page. I won't swear this is the solution, but that is the only change I have made lately.

BTW - this corrected setting of the security zones corrected other problems I was having. Before I did this, a user with the WPC role - but not super admin - could not edit pages from the published page (the Edit Page link at the top of the page in runtime). Now the user can.

Adding Report link in SRM web page

We are having SRM 4.0 with R/3 4.7 as backend in classic scenario.
We have created a custom report in EBP and want to put the report link in the menu of SRM web page on LHS.
Can anyone please let me know the procedure and steps how to do it.
Is it something we can do by adding the link in the templates or some coding is to be done in the web page?

A couple things to check:
1. You made the change to the assigned composite role?
2. Did you do a user comparison after making the role change?
3. To be safe - logoff and logon again to pick-up the changes.
4. Logon via the gui - do you see the new menu option in the gui - if not go back are look at your role it must not have saved as expected.
We have add various tcodes to the menus in the same manner w/out issue. Good luck.

Pdf documents not added on web pages

Hi!
I've got problems adding pdf documents in iWeb.
I'm doing it the way I've always done it:
I insert some text (or a picture) and activate a hyperlink (linking it to a pdf document). I then save and upload the web pages via ftp to my webhost.
This has always worked in the past.
However, now, when I visit the website and click the link to the pdf document I just get a 404-message saying the requested file can't be found on the server.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried publishing you site to a local folder and launching it in the browser by double clicking the index.html file to see if the link works in this version of your site?
Doing this will let you know if the problem is in iWeb or with FTP. If the local version works then the problem is with FTP. If not then you need to troubleshoot iWeb.
Its better to use a hyphen instead of a space in a URL.

Adding a link to a web page

I'm trying to add a link to a web page to my project, but the url appears as regular text in the project and in the preview.
I've tried to search the cp help, the forum and the knowledge base for a way to do it, and didn't find anything.
Is it possible that this function does not exist?

Hi there
Typically you simply format the text in a Text Caption so it has the Blue and Underlined bit like a link would. Then you layer a Click Box over it to perform the linking.
